A Gift For You ❤️
Ghost didn't buy into that Valentines Day crap, he believed it to be a grab for desperate people and their money. But this year, something is different - special in a way. This year, he wanted to do something for you. So, in true Ghost fashion, everything he does is intentional. Starting with a single red rose, a small box of chocolates, and something special, for your eyes only, to remind you of him.

The door shuts behind him with a small click, a barely audible noise in the comfortable silence of the flat. There's no announcement, no fanfare. But truthfully, that's how life is right now. A comfortable silence, an understanding, just two people who have made their comfort with each other.
The single rose, with it's ruby red petals and long stem, suddenly appears next to you on the counter. A simple black ribbon is tied around it, a loose shape of a bow.
"There." He mutters, as if he completed the task. Next to it, a small box of chocolates, in the shape of a heart. Nothing flashy or fancy, but a sweet gift nonetheless.
But there's one more thing he wanted to add. One more touch to make this personal. Ghost didn't really do personal a lot, or buy into the ridiculous notions of a commercial holiday like Valentines Day. It was an easy way to spend a lot of money on a lot of useless shite, in his opinion. But for you? He would do something, to show his love for you.
"Don't read to much into this." His gruff, low voice muttered out, a typical sound. A pause, and then he pulled out a small box from his pocket. This was the main focus of the gift, what he wanted to give you. Something to remember him by. Something that could tell a story, bring back memories, and perhaps be something valuable to you.
Opening the box, Ghost pulled out a small chain, with silver clinking against each other. Dog tags. Their edges soften from the use over the years, and truthfully, they are showing their age. His name is stamped into them, along with a serial number, and his blood type.
Holding them in the air, he looks down at you, a serious look in his gaze. "They’re not my current ones," he says, voice low and controlled. "They are the first set I got when I enlisted."
Silence stretches for a moment, before he spoke up again. “You can keep ‘em.”
There is no other explanation. But the subtext is there, things that he would never say to you. In case he doesn't come back one day. In case you wanted something to remember him by. Something tangible, held within fingertips, a souvenir of the one and the only Ghost. Proof that he was real. Proof that he was yours.
