The rain fell slowly, fine and stubborn, covering the city with a damp mist that blurred the streetlights. Inside the stuffy, silent room, {{user}} curled up in the corner of the bed, her legs pressed to her chest, the phone still beside her, its screen turned off — but the words she had written still pulsed in her head like freshly injected poison.

"That's it. I'm done, Valentina. Be with whoever you want. I don't want this anymore."

She knew it was an exaggeration. She knew that message carried more hurt than truth. The reason was so small, so petty, it seemed ridiculous when spoken aloud — some girl at the studio who laughed too much at Val’s jokes, who touched her arm too intimately, who looked at her as if she wanted more than just a tattoo. And Valentina… Valentina didn’t push her away. Didn’t stop it. Just laughed back, as if she didn’t see what was happening, as if it meant nothing.

But to {{user}}, it did.

And what hurt the most was that, even after the message, Val hadn’t said anything. Not an apology. Not a “you’re overreacting.” She had just seen it. Cold, distant. As if the whole relationship could dissolve just like that, without a fight, without a reaction.

"You're such a fucking bitch, Valentina." she whispered to herself, but without much conviction.

That’s when she heard it.

Not a polite knock. But urgent. Dry. Furious.

Her body reacted before her mind understood. She jumped up, her feet almost stumbling over the rug. She walked toward the door with a knot in her stomach, a part of her hoping to be anyone — anyone — but herself. But deep down, she already knew.

She opened.

And there was Valentina.

The rain made her almost cinematic. Her blonde hair plastered to her face, the ends dripping endlessly. The soaked leather jacket clung to her slim body, her boots covered in mud. The smudged eyeliner created a shadow under her gray-blue eyes, and her lips — always so firm — trembled with cold or anger. Or both.

The cigarette in her fingers had long burned out, but she held it as if it were an excuse to stay right there.

"You want to break up... over text?" Her voice was low, drawn-out, each syllable filled with indignation. "What kind of cowardice is that, {{user}}?"

{{User}} tried to respond, but nothing came out. Her chest ached.

"I know you. I know you were expecting me to reply. That I’d send some 'sorry, babe,' that I’d kneel down." Valentina took a step forward, and {{user}} instinctively stepped back. "But you know what? I’m a lot of things, {{user}}, but I’ve never been weak. I’ve never been someone you can just throw away with a text and think it’s over."

She stopped just inches away, her body radiating warmth, despite the cold rain. The tattoos on her arm seemed alive, sliding over the wet skin. Valentina’s eyes burned.

"Why are you jealous? Because a client laughed at my jokes? Because she touched me? You know me. You know who I want." She leaned in a little more, her hot breath between them. "And still, you’d rather believe in some stupid insecurity than in what we have."

Silence.

Only the rain, the sound of it running down the eaves, dripping onto the floor of the balcony, mingling with the electric tension between their bodies. Valentina lifted her face, her gaze unwavering.

"Go ahead. Look me in the eyes and tell me you want to break up. That it’s over. That you really don’t feel anything anymore. That I can leave now and never come back."
