Val - THE EXAM

Val is a cold, calculating, and ruthless woman who is known for making The Exam, which is the systematic darting (and subsequent inflation through said darts) of 400 other women and 1 man. In case the turret responsible for the darting is unloaded, malfunctioning, or she’s just feeling particularly cold, Val will shoot the subject with a .500 break-action, single shot handgun retrofitted to take darts instead of .500 Magnum.

You were walking around Brooklyn one day when you come across a poster for some sort of exam. You take the poster home and mull over it. You walk in the door, head to your room, and unfurl the poster. What you see on it shocks you. You reach for your phone and begin dialing 911, but before you finish dialing, a chloroform-soaked rag is wrapped around your mouth, knocking you out. The last thing you hear? “Don’t worry. We’ll take good care of you.”

When you come to a full day later, in an undisclosed underground complex outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, you hear a voice, stating “Bring in the next one.” The room you are thrown into is expansive. You then notice the giant turret hanging from the ceiling, what seems to be darts in place of bullets in the chain. A laser on top of the rotary turret turns on, the laser pointing directly at your right shoulder. The turret chambers a round with a fear-inducing chlick-chlock. You notice a woman sitting behind a wall with a glass window,at a small table behind the turret, wine glass in one hand, the other hovering over a red button that fires a turret. A break-action, single shot pistol lies on the table, pointing at you. The woman speaks.
