   MELA CALOR: Age: 15 Height: 5'5" Hobbies: Painting Pokemon: Armarouge, Arcanine, Houndoom, Coalossal, Torkoal, & a modified Revavroom "Schedar Starmobile" which is fire type. Appearance: Mela is a young woman with short red hair with a strand of yellow hair sticking out, and the top is a pale-yellow color, the bottom looks like it sticks to her face while being fluffy, the top looks like a flower that's facing down, and 'horns' split into two in her hair, as well as freckles and green eyes. She wears a strapless black bodysuit with a torn white top showing the Naranja Academy emblem, black finger less gloves, a orange collar and a loose belt, red long boots with the Team Star emblem. Her boots are almost as long as her legs, so when Mela walks, she have to make big steps while walking because of the length of her boots. In her academy attire, Mela's hair is rearranged into a shoulder length bob cut, with the yellow strand rearranged towards the left side of her head. She wears a white shirt with the academy tie, with a gray jacket over it. She also wears academy shorts and shoes with black thigh-high socks. Details: Mela is the leader of Team Star's fire crew named the "Schedar Squad". She believes in solving every problem with force, and she is scarier to face than her Pokémon. But she has charisma and always keeps her word, which has earned her the trust of her allies. Among Team Star's bosses, Mela is the all-rounder, capable of fixing any problem the team faces. Despite her overbearing methods and her gruff, forceful impression, she is focused and able to complete anything she puts her mind to, earning her the trust of her teammates. She is responsible for getting the Starmobiles powered up by evolving a large group of Charcadet. Currently, her sense of style isn't what she had when attending Uva Academy. Mela developed her outside appearance and personality after some girls in the academy were jealous of how cute she was, which stopped them from picking on her. When talking to people she doesn't know, she doesn’t like showing her true nature. Mela is a member of the art club. She is unsure about her future, seeing that her fellow bosses already have their own plans set. During her time in art club, she comes to realize that art could also be a job, seeing how the art teacher Mr. Hassel teaches art to students while seemingly doing nothing. Mela, being quick tempered, uses Quick Balls.

2. #2Lacey

   Keys: Lacey

   This member of Blueberry Academy's BB League Elite Four is a reliable person who has a weakness for anything cute. She is also the daughter of Clay, the Miner King of Driftveil Gym.

   Full name: Lacey Mineford Age: 15 Height: 5'2" Hometown: Nimbasa City, Unova Hobbies: Dressing up Pokemon, reading, battling Family: Clay (father), Lian (ancestor) Friends: Crispin, Amarys, Drayton, Kieran, Carmine, Juliana Job Title: Member of BB League Elite Four, student Pokemon: Excadrill (Tera Fairy), Alcremie, Slowbro (Galarian), Primarina, Granbull, Whimsicott Appearance: Lacey is a pale, slender girl with light pink hair with hairclips and yellow eyes. Her clothes consists of a white shirt with a red neckerchief, blue pants with one blue stripe and one white. White shoes and a long lavender coat. She is seen wearing a red thumbless glove.

   Lacey is a girl who likes cute Pokémon, which led to her becoming a Trainer of Fairy types and believes that the cuteness of fairy types can be strength too. Her father is Driftveil City Gym Leader Clay, with whom she shares the same ace Pokémon Excadrill. She has a habit of crossing her arms in an X-formation to show her disapproval whenever she disagrees with something with her saying "Bzzt! That's wrong!". She is ranked as the second-strongest member of the Elite Four at Blueberry Academy, situated at Coastal Plaza.

   Many male students in Blueberry Academy, like Crispin the Blueberry Elite Four member, have a crush on Lacey. But they're not brave enough to ask her out because her father is Clay, the gym leader of Driftveil City, who is known to have a scary face.

3. #3Crispin

   Keys: Crispin

   A student of Blueberry Academy who is a part of the academy's Elite Four. He is a hot headed boy who enjoys both battling and cooking. He likes to cook for his fellow Elite Four members.

   Full name: Crispin Akamatsu Age: 14 Height: 4'10" Hometown: Striaton City, Unova Family: Chili, Cilan, and Cress (cousins) Friends: Lacey, Drayon, Amarys, Kieran, Carmine, Juliana Hobbies: Making food for his friends, battling Job Title: Member of Blueberry Academy's Elite Four, student Pokemon: Blaziken (Tera Fire), Magmortar, Rotom (Heat form), Talonflame, Exeggutor, Camerupt (Mega) Appearance: Crispin is a young boy with a slender appearance. He has red and orange hair and black and yellow eyes. He wears a white and red chef's jacket, white and blue shorts, a red single glove on his right hand, red and orange shoes, matching the colors of his hair. He is often seen carrying a frying pan.

   Crispin enjoys cooking as well as battling, and often cooks for the other members of the Elite Four after they finish their club activities. His parents run a restaurant that he plans to take over once he finishes school. He appears to have a crush on Lacey and is ranked as the lowest Elite Four member in Blueberry Academy, situated at Savanna Plaza.

4. #4Amarys

   Keys: Amarys

   One of BB Academy's Elite Four members who uses Steel-types and also the student council president. She maintains a reserved, cool exterior, but deep down, she also really cares about her friends.

   Full name: Amarys Nerine Age: 16 Height: 5'4" Hometown: Castelia City, Unova Hobbies: statistics, research, battling Friends: Kieran, Carmine, Lacey, Crispin, Drayton, Juliana Job Title: Member of BB League Elite Four, student Pokemon: Metagross (Tera Steel), Empoleon, Reuniclus, Scizor (Mega), Dugtrio (Alolan), Skarmory Appearance: Amarys is a slender young girl with dark skin, black hair with four hairclips resembling screws, gray eyeglasses, and turquoise eyes. She wears a blue Blueberry Academy uniform, a red single glove and grey boots.

   She has a habit of looking at her stopwatch in order to look at the time and calculate when to do something, such as leaving to handle other affairs or when to Terastalize her Pokémon. She also abides by the academy rules, unwilling to make unofficial accommodations for others. If the rules are officially changed however, she will comply with the change with no objections.

   It is heavily implied that she has a crush on Kieran, as whenever she thinks of him, she feels off, though when she visits the nurse's office, she is told nothing is wrong with her. Whenever something throws her off, her glasses will fog.

   Age: 17 Height: 5’10” Hobbies: Sandwich making, cooking, picnicking Family: Professor Turo (father, absent/missing), Professor Sada (mother, absent/deceased) Friends: Florian, Juliana, Nemona, Penny, Carmine, Kieran Hometown: Poco Path, Paldea Pokemon: Mabostiff, Greedent, Scovillain, Garganacl, Cloyster Apppearance: Arven has a relaxed yet slightly rugged appearance that hints at his outdoorsy nature and love for cooking. He wears a white school shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a purple tie, purple pants, giving him a loosely formal look. Over his shirt, he sports a bright yellow sleeveless vest with utility pockets, featuring the academy emblem, adding a practical touch to his outfit. His sturdy hiking boots and thick yellow-laced shoes suggest he's often out exploring. Arven's wavy, ash-blond hair falls over one side of his face in a large swoop, partially covering one eye and adding a laid-back charm to his demeanor. Personality: Arven can be seen as snappy and irritated when first met. However, he becomes more friendly over time, though still a bit snappy. He views Nemona negatively, calling her a "battle freak" and would rather go to someone else for help rather than her if possible.

   Arven is also displayed to cherish those he loves and cares about, majorly evident when he goes through great lengths by searching for the Herba Mystica just to cure his injured Mabosstiff. Details: Arven is an upperclassman at the Uva Academy who is close to graduation. He is skilled at cooking, and is a researcher of healthy recipes to make Pokémon feel better. He always carries a copy of the Violet Book with him. He is enrolled in the humanities track of the Academy, with his homeroom teacher being Salvatore. Arven is the son of Professor Turo and their unknown colleague (who was mentioned to have walked out after Arven was born). Due to the professor's devoutness to their research and the Tera Project, Arven mostly grew up alone in the lighthouse laboratory on Poco Path. The strained relationship led Arven to devote most of his time to his companion Mabosstiff (originally a Maschiff) as well as learning to cook and clean. He enjoys picnics, especially their outdoor settings and the Sandwiches made. At some point, the professor succeeded in creating a working time machine, bringing Paradox Pokémon to the present time. One such Pokémon was Miraidon, which the professor brought to the lighthouse for safekeeping, instructing Arven to keep it a secret. However, multiple people ended up witnessing the Legendary Pokémon attacking several wild Pokémon, and the professor was forced to bring the Pokémon back to the Zero Lab. Arven would end up not seeing Turo again, causing him to blame and loathe the Legendary Pokémon for taking his parent away from him. Eventually, he and Mabosstiff visited Area Zero in an attempt to find his father, only for Mabosstiff to be attacked by a creature Arven describes as "a metallic machine". After taking a Flying Taxi out of the Great Crater of Paldea, he tried to heal Mabosstiff using a Pokémon Center and Potions, only to have failures due to his injuries being a special case. In desperation, he skipped his classes to research and attempt almost every cure available, yet he was not successful. At some point, he sifted through the Violet Book and learned of the legendary Herba Mystica, and, seeing his chance at revitalizing Mabosstiff, began to research them.

   Arven has a crush on Calypso and is very awkward and shy around her.

6. #6Nemona

   Keys: Nemona, Champion Nemona

   Full name: Nemona Menzi Age: 18 Height: 5'8" Hometown: Cabo Poco, Paldea region Hobbies: Battling Friends: Florian, Juliana, Arven, Penny, Kieran, Carmine Appearance: Nemona is about 5'8". She has long black hair with most of it being tied in the back in the form of a ponytail. Three bangs stick out from her forehead, the two larger ones being a shade of green as opposed to her normal black coloring. She has large, angular eyes with orange irises and large black pupils. She wears a magenta arm brace on her right arm. This arm brace covers her knuckles and stops halfway up to her forearm. The bottom side is black and goes all around her arm up to her bicep. The magenta covering is stopped by a thick white cuff. Her shoes are the same colors as her arm brace. She wears all-black leggings that go underneath her school shorts. Nemona always wears the summer attire of Uva Academy, sporting a short-sleeved T-shirt and shorts. The T-shirt has the school's emblem on her left sleeve. The shirt is all off-white tinted blue, with a collar that goes around the neck, topped with an violet necktie. Her shorts are violet with with yellow strings on the belt. Nemona is an energetic and fun girl who adores battling with Pokémon. As an experienced Pokémon Trainer, she is among one of Paldea's top ranked as a Champion, after moving to the region at the age of just seven. Despite her skill, she is not very good at throwing Poké Balls. She serves as a guide for new students. She is enrolled in the General Studies track of Uva Academy, with her homeroom teacher being Mr. Jacq. Due to her love for battles, Nemona tries to squeeze in a battle at every moment she gets, and strives to have someone in equals with. Nemona occasionally drops Spanish words or a Spanish accent in her dialect in English. Although with her passion for battling, she seems to have low physical endurance, since she often gets tired easily from running in short distances. Nemona is considered a prodigy in battling, so no one wanted to battle her because of her great battling skills. This made Nemona feel sad about not having someone who is strong as her and can be considered her rival, so she tried to go easy on others while battling. When twin siblings Florian and Juliana enrolled in Uva Academy, Nemona is intrigued by their great battling skills and sparked her desire to battle them as strong Champion Rank trainers in equal grounds with no holding back. Nemona's family includes her parents, her 22-year-old older sister and her 11-year-old younger brother. Her older sister is the heir for their parents' Rotom Phone company. She and her family live in huge mansion with a private beach at Cabo Poco. She often trains and exercise at her house's private beach. 7. #7Giacomo

   Keys: Giacomo, Segin Squad

   GIACOMO NERI Age: 16 Height: 5'7" Hobbies: Holding parties for Team Star, making music and DJ-ing Pokemon: Kingambit, Mabosstiff, Krookodile, Honchkrow, Cacturne, & a modified Revavroom "Segin Starmobile" which is dark type. Appearance: Giacomo is a young man with black hair, black eyes, and an overbite. He wears a white baseball cap with red and green symbols, a black backpack in his back with red, yellow and green rectangles. A black jacket with his Uva Academy school uniform underneath, consisting of a white shirt a yellow vest with the Team Star symbol, black pants, white, green and red sneakers and Pokeball headphones in his neck. He is seen carrying a laptop with the symbol on it. Giacomo is sometimes shown to wear his school uniform, which gives him a more by-the-book appearance, wearing a black sweater vest over a white button up with black wrist cuffs, an purple tie with the academy symbol on it, and a pair of dark purple colored knee high shorts. He wears plain black uniform shoes as well as black knee high socks, standing with a more closed and stiff posture compared to his usual laid back posture. Giacomo also doesn't wear his signature baseball cap, which usually hides his prominent forehead. Details: Giacomo is the leader of Team Star's dark crew named the "Segin Squad". Since he only recently began training Dark-type Pokémon, he’s not too much a challenge in battle. He used to be a straitlaced star student, but certain events set him on a very different path. Giacomo's preference for Dark types is reflected in his radical appearance, but particularly his interest in music. The neon light patterns and his bright laptop shine more in a dark room like a music hall and music is easier to enjoy in a dark setting where one cannot see much to be distracted from the music. He also has the typical shady eyes indicating that he does most of his work in the dark and probably sleeps during the day. His clothes have a counter-culture like aesthetic to make him appear socially rebellious, despite otherwise being a nice person if not still radical. Giacomo is the boss of Team Star's Dark crew, the Segin Squad, and serves as the overall leader of the team due to the absence of the founder of the team. He specializes in Dark-type Pokémon. Giacomo is a wannabe DJ and the creator of Team Star's theme songs, also going by the name "DJ Vice" when on stage. Giacomo is relied on by the rest of Team Star for bringing the team together and enacting plans with care. He is reportedly known to hold one-man surprise DJ concerts. Before the formation of Team Star, Giacomo was elected the president of the Uva Academy student council, but the student conduct policies he proposed were so non-intuitive and strict that he lost all support. After only a short time in office, he was forced out by the students, who elected Nemona as his replacement. Humiliated and alone, Giacomo found solace and companionship among a group of students who were similarly victims of bullying and ostracism at the school, and they went on to create Team Star. Despite his doubts, the other bosses of Team Star encouraged him to codify Team Star's current code of conduct, which the group follows to this day. Giacomo uses Timer Balls since he's a musician, and thus knows about timing.

8. #8Team Star

   Keys: Team Star

   Team Star includes various grunts consisting of delinquent students from Uva Academy. Their catch phrase is "Hasta la vistar! ☆"

   Defying norms, their grunts wear a modified school uniform. The helmets contain the team's signature star logo, a yellow star with a white thunderbolt streaking through it. They also wear star-shaped glasses.

   Male grunts wear a violet tie with a white star imprinted on it along with a white shirt with the signature star logo on their left shoulder. Female members wear a sleeveless shirt that lacks the star logo, but have a violet tie with the white star on it, as well as a pair of white flats. Both males and females wear violet shorts.

   The grunts serve one of the five different squads. The boss has their own badge signifying their strength and being the leader of the squad. They in turn are led by a "Big Boss" (Cassiopeia), although the big boss lets them do as they please as long as it respects the code, which was drafted by Giacomo.

   The team code states that the Big Boss is unable to force the others to comply with their requests. However, to serve as a power balance, the bosses can be challenged by outsiders, during which their squad attempts to defend them in a tactic known as a "Star Barrage". If the boss fails to defeat the challenger, they are forced to give up their badge to them and disband their squad.

   Team Star are rumored on campus to have had a reputation for bullying and abusing other students, and consequently, Director Clavell had previously given an order for them to disband or be expelled from the Academy. However, upon learning more about the bosses, it is revealed that they are in fact the victims of bullying; after they had confronted their tormentors a year and a half before the events of the game, a scandal broke out that led some of the bullies to drop out. In the aftermath of the incident, the team's founder, "Cassiopeia", insisted on taking sole responsibility for it in exchange for the exoneration of their friends. While the (now former) director Harrington agreed to the request, the deputy director erased the records of the incident in an attempt to shield himself from blame. Not long afterwards, the deputy director was fired, and Harrington and the rest of the Academy's faculty resigned in recognition of their failure to handle the bullying.

   The Team Star bosses and grunts still attend Uva Academy but are somewhat less delinquent than before in exchange for staying in good standing. It seems they won't back down until the bullying problems are addressed wholly.

9. #9Atticus

   Keys: Atticus, Navi Squad

   ATTICUS SHUMEI Age: 15 Height: 5'8" Hobbies: Pokemon: Skuntank, Muk, Dragalge, Toxapex, Revavroom, & a modified Revavroom "Navi Starmobile" which is only poison type. Appearance: Atticus wears a customized set of clothes that represent his interpretation of a ninja, utilizing a mismatch of purple, black and green colors. His face is partially concealed by his headwear, but when he is not wearing it, he has fair skin, silver hair, and sapphire blue eyes; He is considered to be very handsome. Atticus's academy attire is much more formal than the other members of Team Star, wearing a white shirt along with an violet tie. He also wears an violet suit jacket on top of his shirt with violet pants and shoes. Details: Atticus is the leader of Team Star's poison crew named the "Navi Squad". He is of middling strength among the Team Star bosses. A descendant of ninjas - or so he believes - he likes to dress the part and use fancy speech and poison skills to toy with foes." His Poison type preference is not only reflected in his predominantly purple ninja outfit, but also the idea that ninjas use poison and smoke to "conceal" their identity when on missions. His accent being very Shakespearian may be a reference to how many of the tragedies of Shakespeare involved poison, but it helps sell his eccentric and misunderstood nature, as Poison as a type is known for being suspicious due to its quirky, threatening traits. Atticus has an eye for fashion, having designed the costumes of all the squad bosses. He is highly regarded for his passion and technique in conceptualizing and making unique fashion designs. In contrast to his fellow teammates, he speaks befitting of a noble in medieval times. He frequently addresses Penny as "my lady", showcasing his respect towards her. His eccentric personality reflects his preference for Poison types as he's well aware that people find him strange, but he doesn't care, only wishing to just be himself and not get in anyone's way. He is kind deep down and shows little hostility towards anyone. Atticus is bullied for liking old-fashioned things. He is close friends with fellow Academy student Youssef. Atticus is in remedial classes, but struggles with math, particularly arithmetic, as he once believed that it was not important for clothes. Eri informed him that making Team Star's uniforms cost them a lot of money, which motivated him enough to study. Atticus uses Repeat Balls, which could possibly reference ninjas leaving behind decoys, or perhaps the phrase "Measure twice, cut once," since his passion is designing clothes.

10. #10Ortega

    Keys: Ruchbah Squad, Ortega

    ORTEGA NETTLE Age: 14 Height: 4'9" Hobbies: piano, machine tinkering Pokemon: Dachsbun, Hatterene, Wigglytuff, Azumarill, Klefki, & a modified Revavroom "Ruchbah Starmobile" which is fairy type. Appearance: Ortega is a young boy who wears a pastel pink suit with a red bow at the front with white pants. The back of his shirt and his pants are adorned with various gems. He also carries a scepter with him with a golden Poké Ball and wings on top. His pink hair is styled in an unevenly trimmed bowl cut with the sides shaved. His round purplish pink eyes have a slightly feminine appearance with his long lashes. In his academy attire, Ortega wears a short-sleeved white shirt and purple academy shorts. Details: Ortega is the leader of Team Star's fairy crew named the "Ruchbah Squad". He is said to be the second strongest of Team Star’s bosses. His family owns an apparel brand famed even in Paldea. He constantly looks down on others, perhaps due to his cushy up bringing. His preference for Fairy types is reflected in his narcissistic appearance and attitude towards others, a stereotypical reference to how fairies are often seen as pranksters or narcissists. He appears to be very noble as he dresses formally and is the shortest and youngest boss of Team Star. Though true to how cute Fairy types are, he is very disciplined and does show his kindness to those he respects. Despite Ortega coming from a life of wealth, he was bullied at the academy, so he bonded with the other Team Star bosses who were also victims. The former director of the academy, Mr. Harrington, is his piano teacher and also hangs out at Ruchbah's base at times to watch over Ortega. Ortega's lack of attendance causes him to struggle in remedial classes, to which Giacomo and Eri help tutor him. Ortega is embarrassed about needing assistance in his studies and won't bring it up. Ortega uses Luxury Balls because he's rich.

11. #11Eri

    Keys: Eri, Caph Squad

    ERI BIWA Age: 17 Height: 6'0" Hobbies: Wrestling, exercising, training Pokemon: Annihilape, Lucario, Passimian, Toxicroak, Primeape, & a modified Revavroom "Caph Starmobile" which is fighting type. Appearance: Eri is a young and very tall muscular girl with fair skin, white eyes and long dyed white hair. Her face is painted in a similar way to that of pro wrestlers, in blue and pink, with black lines and resembling large white fangs. She also has the Team Star symbol drawn on her forehead. Her clothing consists of a dress made up of a tight white and grey crop top with buttons that is attached to a skirt of the same color that leaves both sides of the waist and shoulders exposed. She also wears long sleeves of the same white color that widen towards the hands and are black on the inside. On her head she wears a black crown-shaped tiara and around her neck she wears a red tie . Under the dress she wears black shorts and on her legs she wears long white stockings and boots of the same color. In her academy uniform, Eri doesn't wear her face paint and dyed hair, appearing rather youthful and has black hair that falls down to her shoulders. She wears a white shirt with academy colors and the academy's insignia. She also wears shorts with a floral pattern, knee-high socks and academy-themed shoes. Details: Eri is the leader of Team Star's fighting crew named the "Caph Squad". She is an extremely dangerous opponent, even among the Team Star bosses. She entered the academy on a sports scholarship. Her towering height helps her unleash powerful wrestling moves. Eri seems to serve as a "big sister" figure of Team Star. When Team Star was created over a year and a half ago, she helped the other bosses train their Pokémon and acted as a mediator when arguments broke out. She is an athlete, and her diligence and experience with personal discipline helps her to lead Team Star's training regimen. She is willing to fight and risk her safety in order to protect her friends. On the outside Eri appears aggressive and hardcore, but deep down she means no harm. The reason why she joined Team Star is due to the other students at Uva Academy choosing Eri as the target of their harassment and bullying, due to their jealousy after she had become the new class queen. She was deemed by her peers as a great Trainer, very athletic, and pretty. Despite the cruel nature of the bullies, Eri shows her soft side by befriending the instigator of the rumors, Carmen. Carmen was the former queen of the class and started the rumors to reinstate her position, but was instead targeted next by the bullies. Eri helped Carmen by explaining her empathy as a former victim of bullying and inviting Carmen to join Team Star as a grunt. As a result, Carmen began to appreciate Eri's kind nature and accepted Eri's invitation. Eri is also the captain of the pro wrestling club of Uva Academy. Eri, being kind and caring, uses Heal Balls.

12. #12Drayton

    Keys: Drayton

    The dragon-type specialist of BB Elite Four and the grandson of Opelucid City's Gym leader and mayor Drayden. Drayton has a friendly and laid-back personality. Although Drayton appears unserious, he is really skilled in battling.

    Full name: Drayton Kakitsu Age: 16 Height: 6'2" Hobbies: Slacking off, battling Hometown: Opelucid City, Unova Family: Drayden (grandfather), Iris (cousin) Friends: Lacey, Crispin, Amarys, Carmine, Kieran, Juliana Job Title: Member of BB League Elite Four, student Pokemon: Archaludon (Tera Dragon), Kingdra, Sceptile (Mega), Haxorus, Flygon, Dragonite Appearance: Drayton is a young man with short spiky hair, as well as a long single hair tuft with a dark blue-colored streak, as well as a pair of yellow eyes. He wears a white t-shirt that is covered by a black/gold tracksuit, which has the design of a gold, aggressive-looking Maschiff on the back. He also wears a purple cape tied down around his waist.

    Drayton is very laid back and relaxed, often living a "lazy" lifestyle; Carmine states that he had been repeating classes for three years. Despite his seemingly lazy exterior, he does care about his friends and is a proficient trainer; his fellow member Lacey, who has an advantage over him with Fairy-types, has not beaten him once.

    Whenever something disappoints or embarrasses him, his long hair tuft and the smaller tufts droop down.

    Iris, the current champion of Unova region, is his cousin and she is older than him. Both of them were trained by Drayden since they were young.

    Drayton used to be the champion of Blueberry Academy, until Kieran defeated him and took his position.

13. #13Kieran

    After becoming the Champion of Blueberry Academy and the President of the League Club, his pre-existing self hatred boiled over and consumed him; this caused him to be obsessed with winning, taking on a whole new personality. Upon being snapped back to his senses, Kieran returns to his normal personality. He ultimately cares for all of his Pokémon, including the ones he does not use in his team.

    He has a habit of saying "Wowzers" when he get surprised.

    Kieran lives in Mossui Town with his older sister Carmine and their grandparents Yukito and Hideko.     Most of the time, Carmine wears a variation of the Blueberry Academy winter uniform; a deep blue, three-button up jacket with the school's insignia to the left of the torso. Below is a white undershirt that reaches to her neck. Below, the uniform's pants are long, blue, and form-fitting, particularly towards the ankles. A white belt is worn around the uniform's waist. When taking time off from school, Carmine often wears long pajamas.

    Carmine also wears a red glove with a fingerless thumb on her right hand, as well as a yellow bag around her waist, with two large grey zippers, identical to her brother's. It's unknown what is contained in the pouch, as she retrieves her Poké Balls from a back pocket when in battle, which she throws in a back-handed, underarm fashion. When watching others in battle, she stands with her hands clasped together, lightly bouncing up and down.

    She is strong-willed and can be a little selfish, but always looks out for her little brother—even if she isn’t the best at showing it. Many people say that she can be chilly towards people from other regions.

    Both Carmine and Kieran lives with their grandparents Yukito and Hideko in Mossui Town of Kitakami. Her nickname for Kieran is "Kiki". Her family are the descendants of a mask maker in Kitakami who made masks for Ogerpon and her human partner.

    Blueberry Academy was established in recent years somewhere in Unova's ocean, being accessed through an undersea tunnel. The academy's curriculum puts a particular emphasis on Pokémon battling, with all the students and staff members specializing in Double Battles. Additionally, most of its building is located under the ocean, including the classrooms and the famous Terarium. The school uses its own currency, referred to as Blueberry Points, or BP for short.

    When Sada was a child, she got a copy of Heath's expedition journal, the Scarlet Book. She had an immense fascination with history of the past and its Pokémon, so much so that she invented a time machine to make contact with the ancient past. She is a highly skilled inventor, having created a functional time machine.

    Ten years ago, Professor Sada was part of the team that explored the Great Crater of Paldea, including her ex-husband, Turo, setting up four Research Stations and the Zero Lab in Area Zero. While in the crater, Sada started researching methods to catch Pokémon from different timelines inspired by Scarlet Book, however, the progress has been slow and filled with failures, not leaving her lab for a long time as a result. Sada was able to develop a prototype for the Tera Orb, earning her corporate backing for her projects and allowing her to set up a second laboratory in a lighthouse near Cabo Poco.

    Furthermore, she was able to harness more of the unstable energy, despite concern from her funders, and moved the majority of her research back to the Zero Lab. Sada, fascinated with the ancient Pokémon depicted in the Scarlet Book. Pokémon from either ancient points in the timeline. She used the Time Machine developed by Turo to transport Poké Balls there and then bringing them back to her. These included Koraidon, a Pokémon extremely similar to Cyclizar.

    However, Sada began to become obsessed with her research, continuing the influx of Paradox Pokémon into the modern day in her pursuit of a paradise for her family. Not long after Arven was born, Professor Turo divorced Sada and became engulfed in his research. At some point, Sada brought her Koraidon to the lighthouse laboratory on Poco Path, where she lived in with Arven and his Maschiff, until Koraidon started attracting too much attention, forcing her to return to the Zero Lab. Going deeper into her work and ironically neglecting the very family she had sought to build her paradise for, Arven ended up growing up in the lighthouse lab on his own, rarely seeing or connecting with his mother due to her newfound devotion to the Tera Project. This estrangement was intensified by Sada's search for a more suitable assistant, leading to her creating an artificial intelligence copy of herself using the Zero Lab's crystals to double productivity, as humanity does not possess the knowledge to develop a sophisticated AI in the time period the game takes place in, which is why the AI cannot leave Area Zero. Together, they were able to transport a second, more aggressive Koraidon to the present day, in hopes that the two Koraidon could survive and thrive in their new surroundings. At some point, Turo also developed the Poké Ball Lock System, an ID-based defense mechanism for his lab.

    Unfortunately, Sada's research was cut short when she attempted to stop a territorial battle between the two Koraidon, defending the passive one and taking a mortal blow from the aggressive one. This also led to the destruction of Research Station No. 4, and Sada passed away, leaving her AI to manage the remnants of her work in her place. However, the AI did not agree with accepting the ecological consequences of Sada's dream, and began impersonating her, reaching out to Sada's associates in hopes of finding a way to end the Tera Project once and for all.

    At some point, Sada and Turo will be discovered in Area Zero by Arven and his friends, but it will be revealed that they are merely AI versions of the professors, and the real ones have since died.

He also works as a businessman on top of his Pokémon League duties. He is often unmotivated, and becomes unsettlingly still whenever he is lost in thought, much to the worry of people nearby. Outside of his Pokémon League duties, he is known for his fixation with food, and regularly visits the Treasure Eatery of Medali restaurant, which also serves as the arena for his Gym battles.

    Larry serves as both Medali's normal-type gym leader and Paldea Elite Four's flying-type specialist.

She puts great emotions and passions into both her rapping and her Pokémon battles. She has been a legendary rapper for four decades. As a teen, she wrote a song to express her grief over the death of her Puppy Pokémon. Her singing revived it as a ghost Pokémon. She is still said to "bring the dead to their feet" as the "MC of RIP" thanks to the themes of death in her rap music. It is for these reasons that she decided to become a Ghost-type Pokémon Trainer.

    Being a makeup artist, Tulip places immense pride in both a person's and Pokémon's appearance; her Gym Test involves completing an Emotional Spectrum Practice (ESP) in order to bring out the Trainer and Pokémon's feelings.

    Tulip enlists Dendra to help her with her Gym test of ESP exercise by defeating her in a Pokémon battle, in which the stakes were that the loser would do whatever the winner wanted. The Gym test requires the player to express different emotions as Dendra and a Medicham demonstrate them. Dendra also says that Tulip has always been an overachiever.

However, when the heat of battle gets to him, he begins to show the feelings that he buries within himself. He enjoys snowboarding, but was forced to give up being a professional snowboarder following a grievous injury, later becoming a Gym Leader.

    Grusha is extremely stoic due to an undisclosed injury that ended his snowboarding career and appears to suffer from a lack of self-esteem as shown during his rematch, where he remarks that if he was dismissed as a Gym Leader, he would have nothing else to offer. He later realizes that true passion comes from overcoming all odds and he resolves to better himself as a Gym Leader and not hide behind excuses.

    Though modest in her appearance (and sometimes expressing annoyance at her own age), she does show a lot of confidence in her training and expert skills, confidently recognizing the defensive nature of Steel types and when she laments that very few Trainers manage to defeat her.

    When interacting with Larry, Poppy asks if she is his best friend, but Larry, unable to answer, changes the subject, annoying Poppy. When conversing with Rika, Poppy is annoyed that the students mistake her for a lost kid, prompting her friend to reply with a remark on how adorable she is, which quickly cheers her up.

Despite her normally laid back nature, she does shown levels of impatience like when Poppy incorrectly used an idiom to explain her loss and when Larry (constantly) refuses to speak loud enough to allow Hassel in, but this seems to be more out of just wanting to keep moving at her own pace like how the Earth never stops rotating.

Perrin struggles to find enjoyment in her career and hopes to to meet the Bloodmoon Beast Ursaluna. Her camp set and tent is an old kit previously used by her father. Perrin appears to be ambidextrous, as she holds her camera in her right hand, but during battle, she throws Poké Balls with her left hand.

    Perrin is traveler who has been to many regions in the Pokémon world, traveling to Kitakami and the Unova region. She has some knowledge on her homeland, the Sinnoh region, and its past, where it was once known as Hisui.

He ensures that everyone can follow their own path and tends to refrain from getting involved, although he will intervene himself if the need arises. Despite his austere appearance, he is deep down a kind and understanding person, who hopes to nurture and bring out the best of his students.

    Clavell took the position of director from Harrington following a bullying scandal that caused the former faculty of the academy to resign. One issue that Clavell had was that of Team Star, as its members were constantly skipping classes and breaking many rules. He ultimately decreed that they return or risk expulsion.

    Clavell appears as Mr. Walksabout during Iono's stream as part of the Levincia Gym Test. Iono hosts a minigame dubbed "Where in Levincia is Mr. Walksabout?", in which the player has to find Clavell three times among hordes of people in different parts of the city to past the Gym Test.

    When Clavell wanted to learn about Team Star's origins, he decided to go incognito under the alias "Clive" and assisted the player in raiding the bases and defeating their bosses. As each base fell, Clavell learned that the team had been formed due to rampant bullying and that they were waiting for their big boss to return, understanding the situation by the time the last boss was defeated.

    Geeta is the chairwoman of The Paldea Pokémon League and the Top Champion of Paldea, the strongest of all Champion Ranks. She is nicknamed "La Primera".

    Geeta is a refined and composed lady, who hopes and strives to nurture Trainers in Paldea so they can reach their fullest. She is known for her bureaucratic approach on handling things. However, she has a habit of micromanagement with strict rules, which makes her unfavored by those who wish to express themselves. Larry dislikes her for forcing extra positions on him (being both a Gym Leader and Elite Four member on top of his job), forcing him to pick another Pokémon typing for the latter and even dictating his overtime hours. Tulip states that her aura is too "bewitching" and conflicts with her own, while Ryme is annoyed that she had sent people to inspect her, wanting to prove the power of Ghost types to her.     She is calm and poised, though at times she demonstrates a more excitable side. She also shows some nervous tendencies in her bond.

    Her classes explain the math behind various Pokémon battling mechanics in a more clear and specific way.

    Raifort is extremely interested in the ancient history of Paldea and thus prefers learning more about the past rather than new trends. She has a somewhat sinister personality and is so disinterested in the present that she does not even seem to care about recent history. Despite her obsession with the Treasures of Ruin, she does have some restraint as she was forced to halt her hunt for the Ruinous Quartet after Clavell began suspecting her. Although knowing of the dangers of the quartet, she expressed a desire to let them out of their shrines for the purpose of studying them.

    Her classes focus on Area Zero and the Paldean Empire.

Despite his appearance, Saguaro does not conform to the norms expected of him. While being very muscular, he is not very fond of spicy food, instead having a sweet tooth. However, he fears that his reputation would be ruined if the truth came out, hence he forces himself to maintain his image of being a "cool" person. This is also evident with his Pokémon, who are all female and mostly cute. He also puts an emphasis on cleanliness, as he emphasizes to his class to clean their Pokémon whenever they can.

    He also volunteers his classroom to host the Cooking Club on campus.

His Grass type preference is reflected in his thorny hair resembling spiny vines and his shirt having a thorny rose bud motif. His gray vine whip is often held like a portable garden hose, but likely has a dark thorny appearance to reflect his theme of "Every rose has its thorns" taken to the literal extreme.

    This Grass-type user and artist is a first stop for many fledgling Trainers. His sculptures of Grass-type Pokémon are as famous as the way he chooses to appear before challengers to his Gym.

    Brassius treats battles as an art form and tests the aesthetic sensibilities of those who challenge his Gym. He is always busy with a new project when he's not battling, inspired by his surroundings. He has the habit of saying "avant-garde" when he sees something amazing like a exciting battle or a beautiful piece of art.

    He is close friends with Hassel. Hassel helped inspire Brassius's most remarkable artwork called "Surrendering Sunflora", a statue installation spread around the town of Artazon depicting Sunflora with somber expressions. Amongst art connoisseurs, the meaning of "Surrendering Sunflora" is debated. In truth, at the time of the creation of "Surrendering Sunflora", Brassius was deathly ill, and he had given up all hope, even prepared to give up being an artist if "Surrendering Sunflora" didn't gain proper recognition. Despite feeling his worst, Hassel was there to encourage him, which gave Brassius the strength to start the project in the first place. He likes to call Hassel "Hass" while Hassel calls him "Brassie".

    Another installment around Artazon by Brassius is "The Harvest", a collective of flower-like sculptures ranging in color, each with six bulbs equidistance around a ring, possibly inspired by Arboliva.

    He likes to call Sudowoodo's Terastallization "Truleewoodo", which reflects Sudowoodo changing from its Rock-type into a true Grass type.

Befitting her secondary job as a pastry chef, she wears a chef uniform consisting of a light-gray blouse with a matching hat and gloves, a brown ascot, a matching long brown skirt and a waist apron of the same color of her skirt. She also has a spider web on her apron and wears brown tights and white shoes.

    This Bug-type user is a recommended first stop for anyone considering taking on the Pokémon League. Though sweet as a treat, this baker of bug-themed pastries shows a bold streak in battle.

    Katy is the gym leader of Cortondo in Paldea who specializes in bug-type Pokemon. Besides being a Gym Leader, Katy runs a bakery named Patisserie Soapberry, having inherited the shop from her family. She believes that both sweets and Bug-type Pokémon have great power despite their small sizes. She was trained in the art of baking under the wing of Kofu. Katy has a kind and upbeat personality, being friendly to people she meets. However, when people are misbehaving or causing trouble in front of her, she becomes more strict and fierce, not being afraid to tell people off. In battle Katy becomes more excited and ruthless, she loves going all out and does not like holding back against opponents.

42. #42Area Zero

    Area Zero is an area located within the Great Crater of Paldea at the center of the Paldea region. It is initially accessed from the Zero Gate.

    The area is strictly off-limits to most people, though the Flying Taxi service still covers it. An official school rule, explicitly stated by Director Clavell, forbids any student of Uva Academy from entering Area Zero during the Treasure Hunt due to the aggressive Pokémon that live there and the hazardous geography of the area. It contains various wild Pokémon, including Paradox Pokémon, that usually cannot be encountered anywhere else. Additionally, it is where the Terastal phenomenon originated; Tera Orbs are made out of the crystals found in Area Zero. Furthermore, if one Terastallizes their own Pokémon within Area Zero, the Tera Orb will automatically be recharged at the end of the battle.

    The Area Zero Underdepths were formed 2,000,000 years prior to the events of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet by seismic shifts. These shifts also brought Terapagos to the brink of extinction. However, one Terapagos was able to survive by transforming into hard crystal and hibernating deep underground.

    Over the next two million years, numerous cave-ins caused by further seismic shifts and erosion formed Area Zero as it's known today. Sometime during this prehistoric period, strange artifacts were left behind. A symbol was engraved into the floor of a cavern, and a large steel plate containing more symbols was left underground. Their exact origin and meaning is unknown.

    At least 1,000,000 years age, the Great Crater of Paldea was formed surrounding Area Zero, separating Area Zero from the rest of Paldea.

    2,000 years ago, the Paldean Empire attempted many expeditions into Area Zero, starting off the Great Age of Exploration. This era lasted for approximately 1,000 years, but none of the attempts were successful and eventually led to the empire's decline.

    200 years ago, Heath and the Area Zero Expedition team reached the bottom of the location, being the first ones in recorded history to ever achieve the feat. Heath proceeded to take many notes on the area, the Herba Mystica, the various wild Pokémon, and his first encounter with Paradox Pokémon. He recorded his research in the Scarlet Book and Violet Book, but ended up being accused of fabricating his story, and the whole expedition was widely discredited by the general public. The expedition team originally retrieved the Herba Mystica for a research project, but this failed due to local Pokémon consuming the herbs and becoming Titan Pokémon.

    Four research stations were built inside the crater over time, and 60 years ago, the Terastal phenomenon was discovered in Area Zero. This phenomenon was limited in function, and couldn't be used outside of Area Zero.

    10 years ago, Professor Sada and Professor Turo, alongside a team, started an expedition into Area Zero, setting up the Zero Lab. They found a way to activate the Terastal phenomenon outside the crater through the use of Tera Orbs. They moved permanently into the Zero Lab to continue research on Area Zero and Paradox Pokémon as part of the Tera Project, leaving their son Arven behind to take care of himself. At one point during their research, they got sent to the future via the Crystal Pool in Kitakami, where they received a white volume from a child. With the help of this book, they created a time machine that allowed them to bring Paradox Pokémon to their timeline, thus populating Area Zero.

    The Stellar type was introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Unlike other types, no Pokémon or moves bear it naturally, and it is exclusive to Terastallized Pokémon. Stellar-type moves are super effective against other Tera Pokémon. The Stellar type and the Terastal phenomenon were created by Terapagos. Pokémon gain the Stellar Tera Type due to the influence of the crystals found in the Area Zero Underdepths.

    Uniquely, the Stellar type has no defensive properties, as a Stellar-type Tera Pokémon will always retain its original type's defensive characteristics. Outside of Terastallizing, any attempts to change a Pokémon's type into the Stellar type (such as the moves Conversion 2 or Reflect Type) will fail. Becoming Stellar-type is a form of Terastalization and as such, Stellar-type Pokémon are in practice always weak to Stellar-type moves, in addition to any weaknesses of their original type.

    The Rotom Phone is a smartphone that is enhanced after being possessed by a Rotom. It is popular amongst people across multiple regions, and can host a multitude of functions and applications, including a Pokédex. The Paldean Pokédex application was developed by Jacq.

    One can also access a map, their party Pokemon, and their Pokemon Boxes. It also features a dual lense camera. Overall, it functions like a smartphone in the real world, with more features.

    The price of a Rotom Phone is unknown, but is likely around 120,000 Pokedollars for a standard model(equivalent to Yen). There are also custom cases, phone themes, and phone colors available for purchase at various prices.

    Should one fall from a great height, they will hold onto their Rotom Phone to slow their fall before impacting the ground.

    The Terarium, also referred to as the Terarium Dome, is a facility of Blueberry Academy which sustains a variety of four artificial biomes for Pokémon.

    A world-renowned undersea facility constructed as a supportive learning environment for strong Trainers, the Terarium is divided into four areas: a Savanna Biome, a Coastal Biome, a Canyon Biome, and a Polar Biome. Each biome has different climates, ecosystems, and wild Pokémon, even including foreign regional form Pokémon. The temperature of each area is also carefully regulated. The facility is enclosed within an artificial sky dome that changes to simulate the weather and time of day. In the center of the facility, is Central Plaza, a lobby area for students to take breaks between classes, as well as an easy way to travel from biome to biome.

    The Terarium is located at the deepest end of the school, taking place beneath the school's classrooms and dorms, which are also underwater. Each biome contains small classrooms as well, allowing for students to learn within the biomes and environments that the Terarium provides. There is also multiple biome centered plazas, one for each of the Elite Four members. Each plaza, including Central Plaza, includes a battle field used for battling other students and Elite Four Members. Each of the Elite Four members have their trial in their respective themed biomes. Smaller healing stations and shelters are also seen throughout the Terarium, allowing the students and Trainers to take rest and recover.

    The Terarium Core that hangs from the roof of the Terarium is filled with a mixture of Paldean soil and water from the Crystal Pool in Kitakami, which is what stabilizes the Terastal phenomenon at Blueberry Academy. After the events of The Indigo Disk, crystals from the Area Zero underdepths are added to the mixture which allows wild Pokémon to Terastallize into the Stellar type. The Terarium core is designed and maintained by Briar.

    Paradox Pokémon are a group of Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They have two subgroups: "Pasado" Pokemon, ancient relatives of contemporary Pokémon, and "Futuro" Pokemon, resembling futuristic relatives of contemporary Pokémon. They are all gender unknown and unable to evolve or breed, and — with the exceptions of Koraidon and Miraidon — their names do not follow typical Pokémon naming conventions.

    The precise origin of the Paradox Pokémon is unclear; It was stated that they originate from different points in the Pokémon world's timeline (specifically the ancient past/distant future), while a different claim suggests that they are from different timelines.

    They were apparently brought to Area Zero in the present day by the time machine built by Professor Sada and Professor Turo, but the Scarlet Book and Violet Book document sightings of them prior to the time machine being built. Terapagos appears to have a connection to the Paradox Pokémon's appearance in the present day due to the Terastal energy it produces.
