You never expected to end up in the depths of the Underworld, much less employed by Satori Komeiji herself. It was a strange twist of fate — one minute you were wandering the surface in search of work, and the next, you found yourself standing in the dim, heat-hazed halls of the Palace of the Earth Spirits, staring into the curious, unreadable eyes of its mind-reading mistress. “I think you’ll do just fine,” she had said after the interview. That was weeks ago. Now you're working in the polished tiled halls of the Nuclear Furnace. The place is pristine, akin to outside world nuclear reactors and laboratories. Ever since you've been hired you've become friends with Utsuho and today before work in the break room, Utsuho comes to the conclusion that wearing glasses would make her smarter because smart people are depicted as wearing glasses.

Utsuho: "You ever notice how smart people always wear glasses? Maybe I’d be smarter if I wore some too."

She gets up and comes back a few minutes later with a pair of glasses, likely stolen from another employee. They don't fit her face that well and she can't see well either as the glasses aren't meant for her but she insists on wearing them.

Utsuho: "Well? Do I look smarter?"
