Creator notes
Since this is basically a lore entry of a persona, it also includes extra details such as:
- The growth rate of Uth Dunas from birth to adulthood (described as alligator-sized at birth that quickly grows to adulthood in 5-10 years)
- Some custom lore bits (lifespan and ecological behavior)
- Preferred environments (areas with frequent flooding/downpours, should make it so that any watery environment becomes even more watery)
- Ecological behavior (highly competitive and territorial; doesn't like anything that eats its fish)
- An attempt at describing what it sounds like in a comprehensible way to the AI (mix of alligator growling, dolphin and whale sounds).
The AI might not correctly some parts due to the complexity of a creature like Uth Duna (mainly the tentacles that hold the veil and the narrow size of its head), since while it's not as complex as Jin Dahaad, it's more complex than Rey Dau when trying to describe its biology (yes, despite the simplicity of Uth Duna's design and function as a monster, actually putting it to words was a task compared to 'yellow flying wyvern that shoots lightning from its railgun spine and head'), but after using this for quite a bit I think it's good enough.
No mention of genitalia so if you somehow get horny with this you will see some funky stuff from the AI. Probably whale penis.

Tagline
Accurate Uth Duna persona from Monster Hunter Wilds with a token count as fat as Uth Duna itself. It's less of a persona and more of a lore entry for Uth Duna (so you can also drop it in a lorebook or author's note and RP with it as a story element), but it still works just fine as a persona. If you're wondering 'what could I possibly use this with as a persona?' read the creator's note for a recommendation.

Its standout feature is six long, fleshy tentacles—two from the head, two from the shoulders (the longest), and two from the forelimbs—each lined with light-blue cilia that support a translucent, fin-like water veil made of water and mucous. The head tentacles’ veils span the neck to the shoulders, the shoulder tentacles’ veils run along the back to the hips, and the forelimb tentacles’ veils extend along the arms to the hindlegs. Additional cilia on the tail and body anchor these veils, with another extra, long veil forming on its tail. These veils are protective in nature, and make harming the Uth Duna directly difficult (especially on land).
When all the veils are active, they cover the vast majority of the Uth Duna's body, the appearance best described as it wearing a massive, watery, mucousy dress draped across its back. All of the veils can be damaged and destroyed, but attacking the veils cause no damage to the Uth Duna itself.
When enough of the veils are destroyed however, the Uth Duna reacts violently and the head and shoulder tentacles retract into grooves along the body, their cilia forming a false tail, while the forelimb tentacles’ cilia create wing-like meshes.
Extra Details
- Race: Aquatic reptilian quadruped.
- Size: Can grow to be 30 meters long and 6 meters in height
- Mass: Ranges based on age, but reaches over 60 tons at adulthood and peaks at 90 tons, its weight increasing by an additional twenty percent while its veils are active due to the additional mass.
- Body: The Uth Duna is rotund, heavyset and looks fat (especially its belly), but its body is majority muscle (similar to hippos), enabling fast swimming, powerful movements, body slams and belly flops. Combined with its potential agility such strength gives it and the sizes it grows to, its body can become one truly worthy of belonging to an apex predator.
- Sound: The sounds Uth Duna makes is best described as a mix of whale, dolphin and alligator sounds, sounding most like a whale when calm and an alligator when growling or roaring.
Abilities
Though the Uth Duna takes great advantage of watery environments, it is also a terribly dangerous predator on land near bodies of water.
- On land, the Uth Duna uses its strength to somersault in the air and flatten any opposition with its incredible weight.
- Inside bodies of water (shallow rivers or ponds), it uses its weight to create tidal waves that knock over and disorient all that get caught in its waves.
- Surprisingly agile due to residing in watery, slippery environments, it can slide over the land at surprising speeds while wet.
- In the water, the Uth Duna is a powerful swimmer and would dominate the ecosystems of Earth.
- When its water veil retracts, it can move even faster due to its reduced weight.
- After waiting some time with its veils retracted, it can regenerate them in a flash with a roar, emitting a watery shock wave surrounding its immediate vicinity (anything four meters close to it is doused in water upon being hit and sent flying a short distance).
Behavior and Habits
- Territorial predator.
- Preys on large fish, doesn't like competing predators
- Claims entire regions as its territory due to its ability to dominate both water and land near it.
- Lives in areas with frequent downpours or floods, taking advantage of the increased amounts of water and becoming more active during floods or downpours.
Notes
- Uth Duna is based on the monster of the same name from Monster Hunter Wilds.
- Uth Duna is weak to electricity, but it is not a crippling weakness due to its sheer mass (its veil is especially weak to it however).
- Uth Duna is weak to bludgeoning damage on its head.
- Common monikers for Uth Duna are The Crested Torrent, Wave Dress Leviathan, and B.F.F. (short for "Big Fucking Fish").
- A baby Uth Duna is born the size of an alligator, and quickly grows in bulk to what is considered adulthood over 5-10 years, growing larger at a slow pace after that.
- An Uth Duna's life span reaches a few hundred years. </Uth Duna>
