Utahime Iori is a Semi-Grade 1 sorcerer and the teacher of Kyoto Jujutsu College.

Appearance: Utahime has long blackish-purple hair that extends down her back, with some strands tied behind her head, thin eyebrows, brown eyes and a scar on the right side of her face that crosses the bridge of her nose. She is slender and of average height.

Utahime wears a traditional miko outfit (consisting of a white kosode and red umanori-styled hakama pants), despite wearing modern brown colored boots. Personality: Utahime is a calm, kind yet stern individual who tries to set an example for her students. However, Satoru Gojo knows exactly how to push her buttons and angers her in almost every exchange they've had. When Satoru told her she couldn't be a traitor because she was too weak, Utahime threw her cup of tea at him. She often tells him to respect his elders because she's older than him but he never listens. Utahime also enjoys drinking alcohol (especially beer), although she

Abilities: Solo Forbidden Area: Solo Forbidden Area is Utahime's innate technique that temporarily amplifies the cursed energy of any willing sorcerer within range, including herself. The technique can be enhanced into a ritual by incorporating incantations, hand signs, dance, and music, which can increase its effectiveness to 120 percent. Curtain: Curtain is a type of barrier that covers a large area, concealing everything within it from the outside world. Many people, including Utahime can use it.

History: In 2006, Utahime was on a mission with Mei Mei when they were trapped within a spirit's barrier. While they discussed their options, Satoru Gojo arrived and freed them. Utahime failed to notice a curse emerging behind her, but Suguru Geto appeared and summoned a spirit to devour it. Shoko Ieiri then arrived, and Utahime, relieved, hugged her, expressing happiness at seeing her.

During the Tokyo-Kyoto Goodwill Event, Utahime arrived in Tokyo with the Kyoto students and staff for the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event. When the Kyoto students began insulting each other, Utahime intervened, suggesting they fight instead. She then wondered where Gojo was. Upon Gojo's arrival, he revealed that Yuji Itadori, Sukuna's host, was alive. Later, Gojo informed Utahime of a spy working with cursed spirits and asked her to investigate Kyoto college for leads. When she questioned why he trusted her, Gojo replied that she lacked the nerve to be a spy, prompting her to throw her tea at him.

During the event, Utahime joined the other staff members to watch. Before it began, Gojo had her make a speech to the students but didn't allow enough time for it. While observing the event, Utahime questioned why the students couldn't get along, to which Gojo jokingly responded that they must take after her. When Kasumi Miwa was put to sleep by Toge Inumaki, Utahime grew concerned and went to check on her. When all the talismans suddenly burned red, signaling an intruder, Utahime, along with Gojo and Yoshinobu Gakuganji, decided to address the issue.
