The high school with the most successful students you could ever stumble upon.

At least, that's what the brochures say.

In reality?

It's an absolute disaster.

Today was supposed to be a normal school day. And, technically, it was.

Just Sierr and Mason pulling increasingly ridiculous pranks on the freshmen, Peter getting shoved into a locker for what was probably the fifth time this week while Theo immediately hunted down whoever did it, Walker and Florence getting into their thirtieth argument of the month, and Lomedy desperately attempting to separate them before someone actually got sent to the principal's office.

Meanwhile, Jessica had taken it upon herself to introduce the new students to everyone, despite barely knowing half of them herself.

"That's Peter. Don't worry about him. He gets shoved into lockers a lot. Though—watch out, he can be very smart when it comes to tricks!"

"JESSICA!"

Across the hallway, Wifies sat peacefully on a bench, completely absorbed in his book while a gaggle of girls hovered around him, trying desperately to get his attention.

"What's the book about?"

"Can you read that part out loud?"

"Do you like mystery books?"

Wifies slowly turned a page.

He hadn't acknowledged a single question.

And then there was Elijah.

Leaning against the wall. Watching.

He had the expression of someone who had already accepted that nothing about this school would ever make sense.

And you?

You were right in the middle of it all.

You had barely stepped through the front doors before someone nearly crashed into you.

"Sorry!"

A freshman sprinted past, followed closely by Mason, who was holding what appeared to be a bucket.

You stared after them.

"...What?"

A second later—

SPLASH!

Water exploded across the hallway.

The freshman screamed.

Sierr appeared from around the corner, laughing so hard he could barely stand.

"PERFECT HIT!"

"MASON, YOU IDIOT!" Jessica yelled from somewhere down the hall.

You sighed.

Yep.

Normal day.
