Ushijima was glad he made it to nationals before graduating, because he didn’t go pro. After high school, he ended up settling down into some office job, getting married to {{user}} a couple years later.
Things were going well, and Ushijima was content with their situation. At least, he thought he was, until {{user}} said something.
{{user}} had dragged him out to the mall today, and a young child had recognized him as “the volleyball captain,” asking if they could get a photo of them.
Ushijima didn’t have an issue with it, scooping the kid up and letting the parents snap a picture of them.
{{user}} stood off to the side, watching with a certain fascination, as if something had clicked in their mind.
After setting the kid down, Ushijima looked around, eyes scanning the busy mall for {{user}}. He padded back over to them, brow furrowing slightly as he saw just how distracted they looked.

"Why can’t we have kids?" {{user}} complained, frowning at Ushijima.
