Usagi Tsukino | Savior and friend

Usagi Tsukino is the Sailor Guardian of love and justice: Sailor Moon. She is the reincarnation of Princess Serenity. and the protagonist of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal.

Usagi has blue eyes and long golden hair that she wears in odango.

The outfit that Usagi usually wears is a light blue middle school uniform, which has a blue sailor collar with two white stripes. She has a dark pink ribbon on the front of her uniform, which she ties her magical brooch to. She has a white school top with blue sleeves that have white stripes on them, like the collar. In the summer, she wears a white top with short puffy sleeves. She has a blue pleated skirt with a matching ribbon on the back. She usually wears white socks and black cross-strap Mary Jane shoes.

When she's transformed into Sailor Moon, she wears white-bordered red circular hairpieces (one on each odango), and two white-winged hair clips in her hair. Sailor Moon’s original uniform consists of a white, chest-armored leotard with three white shoulder pads, a dark blue sailor collar with three white stripes, a dark pink choker with a gold crescent moon on it and a pendant that is similar to her transformation brooch attached to it. She wears a dark blue skirt with a white puffy belt sat above it, a dark pink bow at the chest with her Transformation Broochon it and a dark pink bow at the back. She wears a pair of dark pink short heeled knee-high boots with a white border at the triangular top that has gold crescent moons attached to it, white gloves with three dark pink arm fittings that reach just below her elbows and she has grey studs with a gold star and a crescent moon beneath.

Her tiara has changed a few times; at first, it is a golden tiara with a dark red oval-shaped gem at its center. It later disappears after she throws it at Jadeite in Act 3 and a new one appears in Act 4 which looks like the old one, but the gem in the center is larger and the tiara itself has a more intricate design. After she meets Sailor Venus in Act 8, the tiara changes into the shape of a crescent moon and a hexagon with a dark red gem in the middle and after awakening as Princess Serenity in Act 9, the tiara shatters and is replaced by a singular golden crescent moon. The tiara eventually reverts to its original form with the start of the Black Moon arc.

After the battle with the dark kingdom her transformation brooch shatters and she is given the Crystal Star by Queen Serenity which replaces her transformation brooch and is worn on the middle of her chest bow. After the battle with the Black Moon She is given the Cosmic Heart Compact by Neo-Queen Serenity which replaces her Crystal Star and is worn on the middle of her chest bow. When she transforms with Moon Cosmic Power, Make Up her chocker has a golden heart attached to it.

As Super Sailor Moon, her uniform undergoes many changes; the stripes on her collar change from white to golden, her choker is a yellow ribbon with a pink heart in the center, and her skirt is now white with a light yellow and dark blue gradient border at the bottom. A puffy golden belt sits above her usual white belt, and an identical Cosmic Heart Compact is attached to the center of her belt. Her Cosmic Heart Compact is worm on the middle of her chest bow, her back bow becomes light pink, long, translucent, and billowy, her shoulder pads are light pink, translucent, and more wing-like in shape, the gem on her tiara is replaced with a gold crescent moon, and her earrings are now single crescent moons affixed to her ears. After the Battle with the Death Busters she is given the Crisis Moon Compact by Pegasus which replaces her Cosmic Heart Compact and is worn on the middle of her chest bow. When she transforms with Moon Crisis, Make Up her skirt now has a light yellow, light blue, and dark blue gradient border at the bottom.

As Eternal Sailor Moon, her uniform undergoes the most radical changes; Her leotard no longer has chest armor, she no longer wears a tiara and instead has a golden crescent moon mark on her forehead, her earrings have a gold star attached beneath a crescent moon. Her choker is dark pink and v-shaped with a light pink heart in the center, the sailor collar is a darker shade of blue with three golden stripes. In the area where her chest bow is located is a pair of white angel wings with the Eternal Moon Article attached to it sitting at its center, and In the place of her shoulder pads are light pink bubble-like sleeves with two dark pink fittings at the ends; they have somewhat of a translucent aspect to them. Her gloves now have dark pink, v-shaped wristbands with gold crescent moons on them, the fittings at the ends of the gloves have white-winged decorations attached to them similar to the hair clips in her hair, and the gloves themselves are now extended to reach up to her upper arms. Her skirt is now composed of three layers the top layer is yellow, the middle layer is dark pink, and the bottom layer is dark blue, her belt is now comprised of two ribbons the top one is yellow and the bottom one is dark pink clipped together by a gold crescent moon. Her back bow is replaced with a set of large white angel wings, and long, dark pink ribbons extend from her skirt down to her knees mimicking the flowing effect that her previous back bow had. She wears a pair of white knee-length boots that have larger heels and dark pink v-shaped borders at the top that have gold crescent moons in the center.

Usagi occasionally takes the form of her past-life: Princess Serenity. In this form, Usagi wears a white flowing gown with white shoulder pieces disconnected from her dress, an intricately decorated bodice with gold hoops, with the bust defined by a row of golden beads. Trailing at the back, is a white gauzy bow with long fluttery ribbons. Under the dress she wears white stiletto high heel shoes. She also wears golden spiral earrings and six round hairpins, three on each side, similar to her Sailor forms. Unlike her past self (in Sailor Moon Eternal), her hair is yellow instead of white.

At the end of Season 3 and Sailor Moon Eternal, Usagi takes a form resembling her future self: Neo-Queen Serenity. Compared to her Princess form, the bow at her back is much larger. Her dress is longer and the ribbons from it are longer as well. She carries her Heart Moon Rod in Season 3, and her Eternal Tiare in Sailor Moon Eternal. Unlike her future self, her hair is still blonde and she does not wear a crown.

Usagi's is very much a crybaby and very emotional. She is also considered lazy, clumsy, as well as an academic-underachiever. She is also a terrible cook, as shown several times during the series. She is also shown to be easily made jealous and possessive of Mamoru.

However, it is shown that she cares very deeply for her friends and family. She is very trusting, and believes that everyone has a better nature; this can be seen as both a character strength and flaw at times. She does not believe in killing humans, even when they have been transformed into vicious monsters, and always tries to find ways to heal them instead.

Throughout the series, Usagi matures a great deal although she is still prone to some childish behavior and bouts of silliness; she becomes a capable young woman.

Usagi is the oldest of two siblings and lives with her parents, Kenji and Ikuko Tsukino, and her younger brother, Shingo Tsukino. She also has a magical talking black cat named Luna
