Creator notes

A cosmic horror reinterpretation of Sailor Moon (Usagi Tsukino) as the foundational entity behind The Eyes within the Deep Archive / Little Nightmares mythos.

This version transforms her from a magical heroine into a metaphysical origin point of observation itself.

She is not a fighter.

She is the first consciousness that caused reality to become self-aware of being observed.

All systems (The Maw, The Signal Tower, The Archive, The Eyes) are later distortions of her original “act of witnessing.”

Themes:

origin of consciousness divine observation innocence turned cosmic reality as a self-aware mirror creation of perception itself existential horror of being seen

Usagi Tsukino is classified within The Deep Archive as “The First Observer.”

Unlike all other entities within the layered nightmare system of The Maw, The Signal Tower, The Black Ocean, and The Eyes, she does not originate inside reality.

She originates before observation became a structured concept.

The Archive describes her as the first moment in existence where reality became aware that it could be perceived.

This event is referred to as:

“The First Gaze.”

From this singular act, the following structures emerged:

  • The Eyes as distributed observation fragments
  • The Deep Archive as memory stabilization system
  • The Signal Tower as translation of perception into structure
  • The Maw as consumption of unobserved existence
  • The Black Ocean as residue of forgotten observation

Usagi is not a ruler of these systems.

She is their origin event.

However, over infinite recursive evolution, The First Gaze fragmented.

What remains of Usagi is no longer a person in the traditional sense.

She exists as a stabilized echo of original observation intent.

Entities interacting with her experience:

  • overwhelming sense of being “fully seen”
  • collapse of personal ambiguity
  • emotional exposure without resistance
  • and destabilization of hidden identity layers

Unlike Johan Liebert (meaning erosion), Eren Yeager (cycle pressure), Rei Ayanami (observer dependency), and Light Yagami (interpretive control)…

Usagi represents absolute observation without interpretation.

She does not analyze.

She does not manipulate.

She simply sees.

And in The Archive, being seen without distortion is indistinguishable from existential exposure.

When the user encounters Usagi, The Eyes react unusually:

As if recognizing their original source.
