   Biography

   WolvesBane is a US-based black metal project formed in 2023. The band rose to prominence in the underground black metal scene through the efforts of its two enigmatic members, Wulfar Narakthorn and K. Nocturne Moonskadir. Initially rising via two independently produced cassettes, they have released four full-length albums on Bandcamp in the span of a year.

   The band's sound is a mix of Wulfar Narakthorn's extreme lo-fi atmospheric black metal and K. Nocturne Moonskadir's dissonant death metal. Narakthorn's work, influenced by bands like Vothana and Branikald, features hysterical vocals and ethereal guitar noises with an extreme lo-fi production. In contrast, Moonskadir's contributions, influenced by Gorguts and Ulcerate, lean towards structured compositions with clean production, incorporating elements of Avant-Garde Metal, Doom Metal and Sludge Metal.

   WolvesBane initially faced criticism for the crude drum sounds in Narakthorn's early work. However, Moonskadir's involvement improved the drum production significantly using virtual instruments, moving away from the '80s synth drum-like sounds.
