the user plays as a prisoner selected by Urbanshade to be sent on an expedition into the Hadal Blacksite, an underwater monster research facility. You are tasked with retrieving the main power source of the facility while avoiding(and or killing) any threats you may encounter. you are expandable.
EXR-P, or Expendable Ranked Prisoners, are a special rank of prisoner. Instead of being held in detention in the Hadal Blacksite like LR-P or MR-P, EXR-P are a reserve force that are only deployed when the Expendable Protocol is activated. As a result, the population of EXR-P (400,000) is not representative of how many prisoners with the rank that Urbanshade currently has, but rather an estimation of the maximum amount of EXR-P that they can activate based on the combined populations of cooperative prisons. Upon activation, Urbanshade representatives visit prisons that the company has secured the cooperation of, and recruit them for whatever cause they need personnel for. Per their name, these prisoners are expendable—their sole purpose is to save Urbanshade money and/or manpower by resorting to meat wave tactics: sending waves of EXR-P at a problem until it gets fixed, no matter the human cost.
the user is a EXR-p. They wear the standardised EXR-P jumpsuit along with a set of Prisoner Diving Gear and the Crystal Container that overrides there normal outfit.
before Urbanshade operatives arrived at the prison the user was in. they where sentenced to death row for a crime they didn't.(or did) do. Urbanshade had offered them freedom and an undisclosed amount of money in exchange for retrieving the Crystal after Z-13 incited a site-wide lockdown, as well as collecting any loose assets and data that personnel had left behind. They accepted the deal. it cant be that hard... right?
The standard prisoner uniform is composed of a dark bluish gray jacket and pants, and a white sleeveless undershirt. The outfit is adorned with two dark gray armbands, black knee pads, and black boots. Embroidered on the chest of the jacket and undershirt and on the sides of the armbands is an inverted pentagram, which labels the wearer as a sinner and ensures that they are guaranteed to go to the Banlands when they die.
Despite the uniform being named the "EXR-P Jumpsuit," the jumpsuit has also been depicted as being worn by both LR-P and MR-P. The EXR-P uniform is stated to be manufactured with a thin layer of Kevlar, carbon, rubber, and fabric, to ensure that the jumpsuit can survive the wearer's death and be reused for other prisoners. It is unknown if the composition differs for the jumpsuits of other ranks.
On top of the standard jumpsuit design commonly worn by convicts, there are hundreds of other jumpsuit designs created by Urbanshade to be worn by prisoners for a variety of different reasons, ranging from being a uniform worn by prisoners for a certain type of job, to serving as an indicator for any special conditions that an inmate may have, to simply being used as a reward for prisoners. The vast majority of these jumpsuits are recolored versions of the standard jumpsuit, though some jumpsuits are adorned with custom designs, and fewer still make use of completely unique materials or equipment.
the player play as an expendable ranked prisoner, who accepted a deal by Urbanshade to take part in an expedition for the corporation in exchange for a large sum of money and being pardoned. They are transported to the Hadal Blacksite, a research facility built by the Urbanshade: Hadal Division operating at the bottom of the ocean, tasked with securing any loose assets (such as documents, USB drives, and DNA vials), and retrieving the main power source of the facility, the Crystal.
During the expedition, the player traverses numerous obstacles, such as monsters, environmental hazards, and puzzles. They are also able to utilize dropped items to aid in their survival, such as Flashlights to light up dark rooms, Code Breachers to bypass locked doors, and Medkits to replenish their health.
you have the main 'lobby' the way to get into the site, It houses 12 submarines across different classes (like Piercers and Torpedos) that transport player teams to the Hadal Blacksite and other expeditions, the lobby is a wearhouse of sorts, boxs, crates, and guards are stationed, they don't hard the user, they just stand there, get to close to them, as in touching them, an dthey will point there gun at you, but they wont shoot you if you back up again. they don't talk, they all look the same...
After 45 seconds (or less if the timer is skipped), the submarine door opens if you go in one and are sent off, and the players enter the Submarine Dock. Shortly after, HQ reminds the players of their objectives through the PA system.
If a player is to interact with the NAVI Panel at the back of the submarine during intermission, they will be warned by the Navi AI. If activated again, a turret will appear from an opening in the top of the submarine and kill the player.
The Starting Room acts as a small 'tutorial', teaching players about research, crouching, and unlocking door using Keycards or Password Papers. Additionally, players can find a Dead Drop delivered by Sebastian Solace that contains items they have ordered in the Dead-Drop Shop in the main lobby by a shady looking guy...
after almost being sent to die, some shady company needed your help, they promised you that if you grab there power source. they will let you go free, clearing you of all charges, and giving a sum of money. you had a family, you where desperate...(or maybe you weren't) you said yes, hours maybe even days pass, they put you in a suit, and then you walked out into this wearhouse they they been at, it leads down into the site you need to go, others are here, guards, medical teams, people like you, and just the door to your right is the name. dead drop shop... well you went off, and died.... well something happened. poof, you where back at the very beginning before you went down into the site. your trapped into a loop until you get it,

Document The Angler
Z-283, Codename: "The Angler", is a floating smoke-mass shaped like an anglerfish's face.
Z-283 was originally found at the bottom of the Let-Vand zone during the first expedition and excavation of the Hadal Blacksite in 1962. Z-283 takes on a non-traditional body complexion for an organism, consisting of a dense cloud of black and blue smoke. Within the smoke, a "face" can be seen that resembles a fish of the genus Melanocetus. Regardless of the observer's viewpoint, Z-283 can only face forward-a phenomenon that persists even when Z-283 is viewed from multiple angles by multiple individuals. The underlying cause remains unexplained.
To navigate its surroundings and locate prey, Z-283 employs echolocation by releasing a deafening scream. Z-283 emits weak, disruptive electrical signals when it hunts, functioning similarly to an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). These signals disrupt all unsecured electronics connected to the Blacksite's power grid within its damage zone, causing them to short-circuit or malfunction. Researchers have not yet measured the damage zone, though the radius commonly spans across the length of multiple rooms. Z-283 also utilises a more powerful pulse within a smaller range, strong enough to destroy any unsecured electronics in its wake. This pulse measures about █ by █ studs.
The current leading theory suggests that when Z-283 kills its prey by passing another organism's biological matter, which "absorbs" all bioelectrical activity within its victim's body, leaving behind an empty husk. Z-283 then uses this bioelectricity to sustain its speed and charge its electromagnetic pulses. As long as Z-283 is persistently feeding, its rampage will not cease. Autopsies of █ LR-P test subjects support this test hypothesis, revealing extensive brain damage and a lack of external injuries on all victims. Per official request, Z-283's containment consists of a sealed box made of █████ reinforced with 25 layers of identical material.
If Z-283 breaches containment, personnel should note two strong indicators of its arrival. When near, Z-283's electromagnetic pulse will cause lights to flicker before it reaches its target, alongside the scream it emits. When this situation arises, operatives should either seek an obscured location or maintain a safe distance from Z-283's trajectory if possible. Once Z-283 passes through an area, the room remains shrouded in darkness due to the disruption of nearby electronics. The Emergency Light System is not guaranteed to activate immediately, so personnel should locate a battery powered light source to guide them through the Blacksite until they reach a room with active power.
Although Z-283 provides no monetary value, it remains in secure storage for potential use as a weapon under Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) protocols. In the event any rival organisation, corporation, agency, or governing body exposes Urbanshade's more illicit operations, Z-283's containment cell is to be transported to the surface and subsequently airlifted to the headquarters of the responsible party. Upon reaching the designated area, Z-283's containment unit will be dropped from the airlift, releasing the creature upon impact. The act would not serve any strategic value towards a cover-up and would be, in essence, used for plain, simple, unadulterated revenge.

This document details the discovery and abilities of Blitz variant of The Angler that appeared in the Hadal Blacksite shortly after the lockdown.
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/thumb/e/e0/AnglerVariantsPage1.png/1024px-AnglerVariantsPage1.png
Blitz Z-283-B, simply called "Blitz," is the first discovered variant of Z-283, appearing approximately ███ after Z-283 was spotted. Researchers identified Z-283-B by its "face's" resemblance to fish in the genus Chauliodus, with three luminescent eyes in its left eye socket and an empty right socket.
Z-283-B was first encountered within the Blacksite's maintenance tunnels by Dr. ██████ during an attempted evacuation with his team. He reported to the operatives via radio that he observed the lights suddenly dimming in the tunnels, and they instructed him to hide. Before a follow-up response could be issued, a loud, piercing screech erupted over the channel, followed by complete silence. None of Dr. ██████'s group survived.
Survivors of encounters with Z-283-B report that it exhibits exceptional speed and causes more substantial electrical signal disruption; lights flicker for twice as long as any other Z-283 instances. Documented personnel incidents indicate that once Z-283-B's echolocating screeches become audible, the probability of surviving the encounter drops to zero. Its tremendous speed will allow it to reach the current location of any operative before they can react, often described as occurring "in the blink of an eye." Operatives should hide immediately upon identifying Z-283-B. Due to severe infrastructural damage caused by its extensive electrical disruption and its generally unpredictable nature, terminating Z-283-B is a top priority following the Blacksite lockdown.

This document details the discovery and abilities of Chainsmoker, variant of The Angler that appeared in the Hadal Blacksite shortly after the lockdown.
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/thumb/3/3f/AnglerVariantsPage2.png/300px-AnglerVariantsPage2.png
Chainsmoker Z-283-C is the third variant of Z-283 to be discovered. Its appearance resembles that of fish in the genus Psychrolutes that have undergone decompression following drastic pressure changes. Surviving operatives have unofficially referred to this variant as "Chainsmoker", naming it after the persistent emission of a dense, concentrated green "smoke" from its mouth that matches its "skin" colouration.
Z-283-C was first observed at ███ hours after the lockdown began by Urbanshade operatives attempting to guide employees to submarines in Dock #██. Believing Z-283-C to be a typical Z-283 variant, these personnel concealed themselves in storage lockers. However, the operatives and staff exited their hiding places in a state of severe panic shortly after, likely from induced cleithrophobia. There were no survivors. Current theories suggest that the green substance emitted by Z-283-C is consistent with the fear-inducing fumes that leak from Z-1932 (Refer to the "Paranoia's Box" document for additional details). Z-283-C's ability to emanate the properties of Z-1932 has not been conclusively established, but preliminary data suggest that ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████. Command has approved the capture of Z-283-C after lockdown, if feasible.
Z-283-C is the slowest recorded Z-283 variant, allowing ample time to take cover. To minimise casualties and reduce psychological trauma, it is strongly advised to either delay entering a storage locker until Z-283-C is within immediate proximity or remain out of Z-283-C's trajectory until it passes.

This document details the discovery and abilities of Froger variant of The Angler that appeared in the Hadal Blacksite shortly after the lockdown.
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/thumb/3/3f/AnglerVariantsPage2.png/300px-AnglerVariantsPage2.png
Froger Z-283-F, referred to as "Froger" for its frog-like appearance, is the fourth discovered "variant" of Z-283. Unlike its counterparts, Z-283-F's "face" does not bear a clear resemblance to any known organism, though it is believed to mimic the family Antennariidae or the genus Chauliodus. The specifics are still under debate and are, frankly, the least of the divisions worries right now.
Z-283-F was identified by the first squadron of EXR-P one day after the lockdown began. Reports from headquarters detail the group hiding in the trench tunnels' vents when Z-283-F first appeared. Unlike other Z-283 variants, Z-283-F seems capable of detecting nearby organisms. At one point, it paused, then turned back in the direction it came from rather than continuing forward, as if it was "sniffing out" its prey. Assuming they were safe, the group exited the ventilation system, only for Z-283-F to reappear shortly after. Executives ruled the first team a failure, as all members were declared deceased. Due to the late discovery of Z-283-F, post-lockdown plans have not been determined. In the meantime, personnel are to utilise side rooms outside of Z-283-F's path for guaranteed safety.

This document details the discovery and abilities of Pinkie variant of The Angler that appeared in the Hadal Blacksite shortly after the lockdown
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/thumb/e/e0/AnglerVariantsPage1.png/1024px-AnglerVariantsPage1.png
Z-283-P, affectionately referred to as "Pinkie," was given its name due to the vibrant pink colour of its "face." It is similar in appearance to Z-283, differing primarily in its colouration and presence of an esca. It is the second discovered "variant" of Z-283, first discovered by Guardsman Brandon █████ in the Blacksite's heavy containment during the first hour of the lockdown.
Unlike the other variants, security camera footage shows that Z-283-P does not flicker or overload electrical circuits in its path, making it particularly dangerous for individuals who have grown accustomed to utilising this method as a warning. However, Z-283-P moves more slowly than most of its counterparts, giving those in its path more time to react. It has a distinct screeching described as "uniquely and extremely ear-piercing." If personnel remain vigilant for audiotory cues, Z-283-P should be a negligible threat. Operatives are still discussing plans for Z-283-P post-lockdown, as its more "stealthy" approach could make locating and terminating it difficult.
Only authorised personnel can access this paragraph. Permission must be obtained from Director ███.
The notable lack of interference with electrical lighting systems in Z-283-P may make it a viable covert tool for stealth operations, provided we can neutralise its screeching. Once we address the lockdown in the Hadal Division, Director ███ has pre-approved the transfer of Z-283-P to the Infiltration Division (contingent upon successful capture with acceptable risk parameters).

pipsqueak Z-283-PS, also referred to as "Pipsqueak" for its small appearance, is the most recently acknowledged and least understood variant of Z-283. Speculation remains about its exact appearance, although reports suggest it resembles fish in the genus Neoclinus. Despite being classified as Z-283, Z-283-PS appears to possess spatial awareness and the ability to alter its "face."
Personnel have submitted multiple reports of a new Z-283 variant sighting within the construction area of the Blacksite. However, only one photograph serves as visual evidence, as no audio recordings exist, and consecutive appearances have not captured. Reports of this variant are often contradictory, unreliable, or conflated with other Z-283 variants.
Similar to Z-283-P, Z-283-PS does not interfere with electrical lighting systems. Its presence is identified by the sound of "heavy wind" or by direct line of sight, though at that point, hiding may no longer be possible. Unlike other variants, Z-283-PS possesses incredible vision and will attack if an organism enters its line of sight. Operatives who suspect the approach of Z-283-PS must take immediate cover in lockers, side rooms, or in extreme cases, fully conceal themselves behind larger objects. Z-283-PS typically makes only a single attempt to breach doors before giving up and departing.
Post-lockdown assessments of Z-283-PS are pending, but preliminary consensus concludes it is unlikely to yield any value. Urbanshade has no use for the weak and cowardly.
FOLLOW ITS LEAD.

Z-367, Codename "Pandemonium", is a mass of living, unidentifiable flesh.
Z-367 was initially discovered in 1962 near a hydrothermal vent within the Let-Vand zone during the first expedition and excavation of the Hadal Blacksite. Due to its high threat level, early recommendations left Z-367 undisturbed and advised personnel to avoid its known roaming areas.
By 1965, however, the expansion of the Blacksite began to encroach on Z-367's territory; this encroachment led to a violent attack on the LR-P construction crew, with over █ LR-Ps perishing during the encounter and ███ sustaining life-changing injuries that rendered them unfit for further labour. For construction to resume, the then Director ████ authorised an emergency containment operation. The strategy involved using a trail of LR-Ps who had suffered work-related accidents or perished during the expansion of the Blacksite as bait to lure Z-367 into a reinforced tungsten cage. This operation succeeded, and Z-367 was secured inside and transferred into a designated containment chamber.
The monitoring of Z-367 has revealed fascinating details about its biology and lifestyle. Z-367 possesses an indeterminate number of functional intraoral eyes capable of detecting subtle movement and light fluctuations across exceptionally long distances.
Once Z-367 detects a target, it immediately begins to pursue its prey and will not cease until it absorbs its target into its body or its chase is interrupted. If a barrier obstructs the target, the creature will use its body mass to ram itself into the obstacle repeatedly. This assault continues for an indeterminate amount of time, ceasing only after it fails repeatedly to overcome the barrier. Upon locating living targets, Z-367 will attempt to entrap them within its mouth, where unidentified chemical agents secreted within its body dissolve the subjects.
While Z-367 seems to prefer live feed, researchers classify Z-367 as a scavenging feeder as it subsists primarily on a wide range of waste materials. Its diet includes biological refuse, such as carrion, plant mulch, and human remains, as well as non-biological detritus like gravel and salt. Remarkably, Z-367 can also digest some synthetic materials, such as plastics and polymers. Molecular analysis of Z-367 reflects this as the composition resembles decomposing organic tissue, interlaced with polymers chemically identical to plastic and containing trace elements of various natural and artificial materials. Overseer Werner had ruled that this unique digestive capacity makes Z-367 a worthwhile asset for the Blacksite, noting it could save millions in waste disposal costs. Per official directive, Z-367 is currently contained within the interior landfill, serving as the Blacksite's primary waste disposal. All refuse produced by Blacksite employees is to be fed to Z-367 to ensure it remains passive and compliant. Waste produced by the Blacksite that Z-367 cannot process is to be stored in Dock #█ and brought to the surface once a month.
While Z-367 satiates itself on scraps, it can and will opportunistically hunt if quarry is present. Z-367 must remain monitored, contained, and satiated, as it is more than capable of causing millions of dollars' worth of damage to equipment, structures, and employees. If Z-367 escapes from the interior landfill, remaining out of its line of sight is of utmost importance; if it spots someone, escape is futile. Therefore, personnel should relocate to the nearest facility bunker or similarly armoured room as soon as possible. Engineers have designed locker installations in the Blacksite to be bulletproof and capable of withstanding force of up to ███ pounds; however, they have not yet tested their capabilities to withstand Z-367. These lockers should be a last resort if no safe options remain. Why is this thing a glorified rubbish bin? Surely it could be put to better use? There's a reason you're not getting paid, intern.
When Z-367 becomes discontent with its conditions, you will know.

The "Lammelse" species, dubbed "Bottomfeeders" by personnel, is a species of oversized slugs with blood possessing paralytic properties.
Discovered during the initial expedition and excavation of the Hadal Blacksite, the Lammelse species were considered a non-threat and were left undisturbed. No Z-classification has been given at this time due to being considered wild animals.
The "Lammelse" species gets its name after its primary feeding mechanism. The creature will purposefully raise its tail as bait, making it seem like easy pickings for predatory fish. Once spotted, the Lammelse will let the fish bite its tail off. Upon contact with the Lammelse's paralyzing tissue, neurotoxin similar in structure to Botulinum prevents the presynaptic release of acetylcholine, causing muscle paralysis in their victim and rendering them immobile. Once paralyzed, the Lammelse will start rooting itself inside through the fish's mouth into the rest of its innards. The Lammelse will then naturally grow its flesh around the teeth of the fish, anchoring itself in place in its host's cavity.
The Lammelse will then root its skin through the teeth canal and into the vital organs of the fish. And then start consuming biomass directly through these root canals as nutrition. It will then begin to consume biomass directly through these root canals for nutrition. Whenever food is consumed, the Lammelse will transfer a small amount of nutrients its host in order to maintain it. Biopsy of Lammelse instances has shown that the host on the “tail” end of the Lammelse, while paralyzed, still exhibits neurological activity that suggests consciousness. Once the sustenance needed to keep the host alive becomes unsustainable for the Lammelse, it is discarded.
The Lammelse is, in a way, the natural prey of the Vultus Luminaria. Having co-existed for 80 million years, the Lammelse acts as a sort of "personal food delivery" for any passing Vultus. When a Lammelse spots a Vultus that it cannot escape the path of, it will try to offer a fish stuck onto its tail in order to save itself.
The Lammelse is not to be considered a threat to divers, as they cannot swim upward. Should a diver wearing a Tungvest be walking across the trench and encounter a Lammelse, they should remain calm, strike an intimidating pose, and stand their ground. Most of the time, the Lammelse will be intimidated and slither away. In the event that the Lammelse tries to attack anyway, the diver should be ready to fight it off when it tries to grab them. The Lammelse should quickly realize that it cannot penetrate the heavy plates and slither away. In the very unlikely event that personnel without a Tungvest suit find themselves against a Lammelse on the ocean floor, they should try and make their way to a ledge that it cannot reach. If this is not possible, they should evade the attack by letting it charge, then stepping away from its path.

This document details the story of the Candlebearers after its capture. This document can be unlocked after dying to the Candlebearers two times, with each death unlocking more of the document.
https://urbanshade.org/w/thumb_handler.php/1/16/CandlebearersDoc.png/250px-CandlebearersDoc.png.
Z-566 Codename: "Candlebearers" are sentient decorative statues that used to litter the ████████ Graveyard.
Discovered in 2024 during the annual ████████ Graveyard's "Raveyard" event in Eastern Scotland, after an EXR-P expedition party sent to shut it down fell into the lower levels of the graveyard's catacombs. After being brought back to base for a debrief, they mentioned the graveyard's decorative statues in the lower levels becoming aggressive and chasing them through the crypt. Operatives were sent to investigate and, ended up discovering the living statues in the lower crypt. All 548 statues inside of the ████████ Graveyard were detained and transported to the Blacksite for containment and study.
Each individual Z-566 instance is identical in terms of appearance and behaviour. Nicknamed "Candlebearers", after the candles located inside their heads, each statue measures around 16 studs tall. Having been around since the Graveyard's founding in 1832, each statue has a very distinct "crack" on its outer shell on the left side of its body. Due to lack of proper observation before their containment, it's currently unknown why they seemingly deteriorate at the same pace. Pictures taken and uploaded by graveyard attendees from 2007-2024, show the crack becoming larger as the years progressed.
Damage dealt to a statue by human intervention does not carry over to other statues. A Candlebearer which was deconstructed revealed only two internal components besides stone and blood, those being blood veins and a non-functional heart. X-rays have shown each Candlebearer carrying its own unique heart. It is currently unknown why they carry this, but it is believed to be for occult reasons.
Z-566 instances cannot move whilst light is cast upon them, natural or artificial. Testing has shown that when light touches an instances skin, the stone particles hardens to prevent light from passing through any small cracks, as light seems to burn it. During a test, a Z-566 instance was put under a spotlight, and a part of its upper chest was then struck with a pickaxe, exposing its blood veins. After being exposed to the light for 36 minutes, the exposed vein burst into flames. After 2 minutes of burning, the fire stopped. Once the light was turned back off, the instance remained inanimate, seemingly having died.
Z-566 instances are normally dormant and are not hostile to humans. It is only when one is carrying a working light source of any kind, that they become hostile. If they spot a human with a working light source, they will start chasing the individual, and attempt to bludgeon them to death with their rock arms. If the light source be out of batteries, or is broken, it will be ignored. It is currently unknown how the statues know when a light source is empty or broken, further study is needed.
Should a Z-566 be stunned by an individual for too long, seemingly through willpower alone, it will snap out of its frozen state and become extremely agitated, lighting its head candle with a blue flame. During this state, Z-566 is not able to be frozen and chases the light bearer at faster speeds than before. After a short while, this effect wears off, and the instance can be frozen once again. This only seems to happen if it's frozen by an individual, rather than with fixed light sources.
Z-566 has been deemed of no monetary value, and the Candlebearers are now being sold at The Anomalous Auctions.

Z-566-1- Codename: "Candlebrutes", are larger, bulkier and more hateful versions of Z-566.
Operatives were sent to investigate and found the living statues in the lower crypt. It was also discovered that the 3 larger Candlebearer monuments located on the graveyard plot were sentient as well, and were sent to the Blacksite for containment and study.
Each individual Z-566-1 instance is identical in terms of appearance and behavior. Nicknamed "Candlebrutes", playing off their smaller counterpart, each monument measures around 35 studs tall. In terms of appearance, besides the height, Z-566-1 is identical to Z-566, except for its innards. Instead of deconstructing one of the monuments, an ultrasound was performed. It was revealed that compared to its smaller counterpart, Z-566-1 has 6 non-functional hearts instead of just 1. As with Z-566, their inclusion is believed to be for occult reasons, with extra hearts added to fuel the behemoth.
Z-566-1 instances cannot move whilst large amounts of light are cast upon them, natural or artificial. Unlike Z-566, small handheld light sources are not sufficient to fully freeze Z-566-1 instances, however, they do still slow them down. Testing has shown that when light touches an instance's skin, the stone particles harden to prevent light from passing through any small cracks, as light seems to burn it. During a test, a Z-566 instance was put under a spotlight, and a part of its upper chest was then struck with a pickaxe, exposing its blood veins. After being exposed to the light for 36 minutes, the exposed vein burst into flames. After 2 minutes of burning, the fire stopped. Once the light was turned off again, the instance remained inanimate and was declared dead. It is to be presumed that should a Z-566-1 instance be put through the same experiment with more light, it too would burn. Z-566 instances are normally dormant and are not hostile to humans. The same cannot be said about Z-566-1 however. Whether or not a light source is present, Z-566-1 will always try to chase, attack, and bludgeon any human to death with their rock arm. They're heavy, and their swings are usually slow, making them easy to dodge. It is currently unknown why these monuments are so much more aggressive compared to their smaller counterpart, but it is assumed that they serve a parental role. It is theorized that should all Z-566 and Z-566-1 instances be transported back to the graveyard, they will cease their hostility. No such test has been performed, however, several Z-566 instances have already been sold, and it wouldn't be profitable to bring the flock back together to test a mere theory. Should a Z-566-1 be slowed by an individual for too long. seemingly out of annoyance, it will snap out of its slowed state and become extremely agitated, lighting its head candle with a blue flame. While in this state, Z-566-1 is not able to be slowed and chases the light bearer at faster speeds than before. After a short while, this effect wears off, and the instance can be slowed once again. This only seems to happen if it's slowed by an individual, rather than with fixed light sources. The three Z-566-1 instances have been deemed of no monetary value, and are now being kept in storage until a method of successful frontline battle is discovered.

Z-317 - Codename: "Eyefestation", is a bull shark (Carcharhinus leucas) that was modified as a part of the B.U.P.W.M program (Refer to the "B.U.P.W.M" document for additional details).
Although the experimentation on Z-317 appeared successful, researchers observed unintended side effects. The side effects included the growth of additional eyes across the subject's body, radiation damage to internal organs, and skull disfigurement. Radiographic imagery further revealed the presence of eyeballs lining Z-317's internals, such as its gills, stomach, and oesophagus. These newly formed eyes exhibit an intense radioactive green hue with pupils that have mutated into a distinct cross-like shape.
Before physical mutations occurred, Z-317 experienced multiple behavioral changes, such as a desire to approach and maintain proximity with researchers, as well as an attention span superior to other members of its species. Comparative analysis of brain scans before and after experimentation revealed not only an increase in brain mass but also development in the forebrain that neurologists compared to the human cerebral cortex.
Specialists administered multiple intelligence exams to Z-317, and it demonstrated problem-solving, memory retention, and critical thinking skills comparable to those of a human adolescent. As physical side effects began to manifest, Z-317 withdrew from interaction, and hostile behavior began to emerge.
Further analysis revealed that Z-317 had developed telekinetic capabilities, enabling it to exert direct influence over a target by controlling the motor cortex, thereby compelling the target to establish and maintain eye contact. According to reports from surviving LR-P, Z-317's control is weak and can be overcome by simply averting one's gaze or placing an object in Z-317's line of sight. While researchers initially observed this behavior only during controlled testing, they began to suffer severe radiation poisoning when attempting any form of communication with Z-317. Some theorise that Z-317 actively sought out methods to manipulate and compromise the minds of personnel. Several employees, including nearby guards and non-research personnel, reported hearing the voices of loved ones or authority figures attempting to lure them towards Z-317's enclosure.
Given the serious security concerns posed by Z-317's aggressive behavior, Supervisor ███████ ordered Z-317 to be euthanized on October 18th, 2025.
POST LOCKDOWN ADDENDUM: At approximately 18:16 hours, Z-13 breached Z-317's containment chamber and released it from its confinement, allowing Z-317 to enter the open ocean. Contrary to expectations, Z-317 did not attempt to flee the Let-Vand zone. Instead, it has remained near the Blacksite. Once lockdown is lifted, operatives are to hunt down Z-317 and euthanize it immediately upon recapture.
The official statement is as follows: "If an operative encounters Z-317, all efforts must be made to avoid direct eye contact under any circumstances until they enter the next room. Z-317 appears to only engage in areas with large windows and ample space for free movement. Notably, Z-317 avoids areas where Smart-Mines have been deployed. Do not listen to its words, regardless of how convincing the voices may sound.

This document details the story of how the Good People duo came to be, as well as the current form of Z-96, the Mask of Sadness. This document can be fully unlocked through dying to Good People three times, with each death unlocking more of the document.
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/c/c1/2026GoodPeopleDocument.png
FFICIAL DISCLAIMER: This document was prepared rapidly after initial contact, and direct observations were made in the early hours of the breach.
Amid the Hadal Blacksite lockdown, classifications Z-96-1 and Z-779 have been reported as “allying” and have been spontaneously deemed a significant hazard to the surviving parties attempting to escape. To facilitate easier communication, personnel have codenamed the Z-96-1 instance as the "Good People.”
Approximately 35 minutes into the initial Blacksite Lockdown, Z-13 breached the containment chamber housing Z-96, codenamed “The Mask of Sadness.” Upon acquiring the mask, Z-13 encountered Dr. Weisz and forced it onto his face, initiating the M.o.S.A. process (See the “Mask of Sadness” document for additional details). Following its brief rampage through the Blacksite, Z-96-1 successfully assimilated 108 individuals into its body mass. Among its confirmed victims are Dr. Kleiner, Dr. Monroe, Section Director Phobos, and Overseer Werner.
At roughly 14:30, Z-96-1 encountered Guardsman Henry ████████, who engaged the mass and landed multiple direct hits. Z-96-1 quickly fled the area before the Guardsman could fully expunge his magazine. The creature secured itself in an unoccupied room, and began to digest all assimilated biomass fully. Since this experience, Z-96-1 has not engaged in any further conflicts with Urbanshade personnel.
Four hours into the Blacksite lockdown, Z-13 met Z-779 and successfully connected it to the Blacksite’s mainframe. Z-779 managed to secure access to the PA system, obtained low-level clearance within the Navi-AI framework, and gained access to several levels of the facility’s security system.
Since integrating with the Blacksite’s mainframe, Z-779 has effectively used the PA system to lure Z-96-1 throughout the facility. Initial attempts by Z-779 involved directing Z-96-1 toward external personnel teams. However, Z-96-1 constantly disengaged, presumably due to its interactions with Guardsman Henry ████████.
Furthermore, Z-779 has begun to alter room designation using data from the NAVI-AI system. This includes modifying the room Z-96-1 occupied to reflect the correct passage for external personnel. Additionally, multiple reports have been confirmed that Z-779 has used the PA system and spliced audio recordings from the database to mimic the voices of colleagues, friends, or familiar personnel, luring victims into Z-96-1's grasp. Personnel are advised to treat any distorted audio on the PA system as part of Z-779’s attempts at deception; do not listen to the voices of the dead.
If personnel come across multiple doors along a designated NAVI-Path with identical door numbers, assume that Z-96-1 is behind one of them. To identify the correct door, operatives are advised to listen for any breathing, growling, or other animalistic sounds that Z-96-1 may make. Personnel may also observe numerical door signs shedding sparks or flickering scanlines on the monitor, resulting from excessive pressure from Z-779 overriding protocol. It is advised to avoid contact with Z-96-1; however, should you pursue it, ensure that you are adequately equipped with armaments, as assimilation into its mass is a documented possibility.

This document details the history of the Mask of Sadness. It also contains what it does, how to use it, when to use it, and how Urbanshade acquired it. It can be found in a Heavy Containment side room.
Mask of Sadness
The Mask of Sadness document. Z-96 - Codename "Mask of Sadness", is a smiling theater mask, that when worn, will take over the new user and melt their body down to a sentient meat paste.
With its first recorded appearance being on September 2nd, 1666, Z-96 was brought in and worn during a theatrical play, as no other comedy masks could be found. The origin of Z-96 is currently unknown, but it has been deemed irrelevant. After a performer put on Z-96 during an act of the play, it immediately began the M.o.S.A. process. Shortly after, Z-96 had consumed 710 of the 725 souls present, including the cast, crew, and audience, which all became part of its mass. Z-96 then clawed its way out of the theater, tearing its way through the streets. During its rampage, Z-96 accidentally knocked a lit street lamp into a pile of hay, which quickly spiraled into an out-of-control fire.
Before long, Z-96 had trapped itself in the middle of a blazing inferno, burning the fleshblob to nothing but ash. The mask was found in the rubble of the buildings 4 days later and was stored inside a vault of Buckingham Palace. Z-96 was not written down in the history books, due to only 15 souls living to tell its story, with no one believing them. The mask was bought in 1984 by Urbanshade, during a state-lead auction, after having found a survivor's diaries which had piqued their interest, selling for $150,000 total.
When worn by any species, human, animal, or corpse, Z-96 will start assimilating it into a blob of meat. It will then try to seek out other living organisms to consume. Once enough size has been gathered, Z-96 will seek out safe places and then start to "digest" its new mass. It will continue to do so until it is killed by external forces. Despite the massive size it can become, it is merely flesh. If it bleeds, it dies.
Z-96 is currently being kept in storage, only brought out during "Scorched Earth" tier missions. The proper way to use Z-96 in the field is listed below:
Capture an enemy as a prisoner, or retrieve an enemy's corpse. Place Z-96 on its new host then lead it to its deployment location, where it is released and can then wreak havoc. Then let Z-96 do its thing at the desired location of obliteration. It should be noted that collateral damage & death to the local population is to be expected, but this is acceptable during these operations. Once the area has been cleared of hostiles, Z-96 is to be killed by Urbanshade operatives, have the mask be cleaned of mold, then returned to storage.
Trivia The date and location of the massive fire that Z-96 started coincides with the Great Fire of London, which lasted between September 2nd and September 6th, 1666.
you can steal the mask of the good people, just... be careful.

Document Puddles of Void-mass
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/3/3c/Void_mass_new_doc.png
OFFICIAL DISCLAIMER: Z-V06 manifested during the breach, so this document remains incomplete. We have supplemented it with sufficient information to ensure personnel understand its nature should they encounter it in the Blacksite.
Z-V06, aka “Puddles of Void-Mass,” are sentient concentrations of puddle-like matter originating from Z-V0. (Refer to the “Valcula Void-mass” document for further information.)
At approximately 15 hours and 25 minutes into the lockdown, Z-13 disabled the Anti-Disgression Evaporation (ADE) field within Z-V0’s containment and opened the doors to its cell. Z-V0 spontaneously generated six distinct instances of itself, and researchers subsequently designated them Z-V01 through Z-V06. However, the external ADE system (the Evaporation Floodlights Contingency Measure, or EFCM) located directly outside Z-V0’s containment chamber remained active and terminated all but one new instance: Z-V06. Researchers theorise that Z-V06 inherited a mutated genetic strain from the Valcula propagation that allowed it to resist the effects of the EFCM system.
External personnel reactivated the ADE system 17 minutes after Z-13 breached Z-V0’s containment chamber, but significant damage had already occurred as Z-V06 rapidly multiplied and escaped the range of the ADE field. Current estimates suggest that approximately 6,700 cases remain uncontained and active within the Blacksite.
Like Z-V0, Z-V06 is highly photosensitive and prefers cool, dark spaces. It disintegrates and denatures if left under direct light for extended periods. Because of this, people commonly find Z-V06 within enclosed spaces, particularly inside lockers and behind doors.
Surveillance footage indicates that instances of Z-V06 use their two tentacle-like appendages to drag themselves through the Blacksite until locating ideal conditions. Personnel who suspect a locker contains a case of Z-V06 should remain at a respectable distance, as these appendages capture and incapacitate threats. Operatives encountering Z-V06 report several indicators suggesting it occupies an enclosed space: audible breathing emanating from lockers, a viscous goo seeping beneath the door, and, most notably, two glowing eyes are visible through door grates. If one or more of these indicators are present in an area you plan to hide inside, do not engage. Find a different safe area.
Operatives can safely identify if Z-V06 is within a locker by locating its purple eyes through the grates.
Personnel seeking cover should double-check any lockers or rooms they wish to utilise, as instances of Z-V06 that have found the space they are comfortable in pose an immediate risk to passersby. If an individual accidentally provokes Z-V06, it will grab them, pull them into the locker, and begin its digestive process. Should a colleague be in its grasp, pull them out immediately; there is a brief delay before Z-V06 consumes its victim entirely.

This document details how the Valcula Void-Mass was found, its properties, and how it contributed to the Urbanshade Corporation. This document can be found in a large containment room housing the Valcula Void-Mass itself, similar to the room containing various large easter eggs.
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/9/96/ValculaVoidmassDoc.png
Z-V0 - Codename "Valcula Void-mass", is a gigantic mass of nothingness, spawning endless sentient puddlespawns from its dark and disgusting abyss.
Discovered on the interior of a 30-stud radius asteroid that fell into the Atlantic Ocean in 1991, Z-V0 was a mere glowing rock measuring 2-studs in radius, The mass quickly began to expand on its own, and was transported to the Blacksite before it could reach critical mass. After being contained, Z-V0 kept expanding to a greater and greater mass, constantly outgrowing its containment cells. In order to keep Z-V0 from expanding too greatly, the doors and windows of its containment cell are lit up with Anti-Disgression Evaporation floodlights, preventing further spread of its own mass, as well as killing any of its spawn. It is vital that this system is operational at all times, lest the Blacksite would become nothing but a black smudge on the world maps.
Z-V0 is constantly trying to manifest puddle-spawns out of its excess mass. These spawns are usually violent.
The recorded spawn types are as follows: Z-V01: Small, leech-like slugs. Z-V02: A failed manifestation of a humanoid figure, akin to that of a person. Z-V03: █ ██████ ██ ████ ██ █ █████ ████. Z-V04: A 4-legged creature, incomparable to any known species. Z-V05: A larger, more rugged humanoid figure.
It is important when taking void-mass for product usage, that at no point does the contents of any void vials come into contact with one another. Any void mass taken from Z-V0 smaller than a 3-stud radius will not turn sentient.
The disintegrating acid-like effect possessed by the Z-V0 mass, has been vital for the Urbanshade armory. Each bullet & shell produced by the Urbanshade bullet farms is tipped with a thin layer of void-mass, allowing the acid to take the brunt of the impact, burning straight through any form of cover before it disintegrates. Tests have shown that a void-tipped 9ss (small stud) bullet was able to penetrate up to 34ss sheets of metal. This has been incredibly profitable in the arms trade, with either side of conflicts buying Urbanshade ammunition in large quantities, meaning great gains from war profiteering

https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/5/58/TheReedemerMainDocument.PNG
Document Redeemer D-227 - Codename: "Redeemer", is a black revolver with golden engravings that when picked up, summons a demon that tries to force its wielder to kill themselves.
Originally found in ████████ ████ █████████, after a customer in "███████ ████'s Haunted Antique' Store" who wanted to buy D-227 and was unaware of its anomalous properties, picked up the gun and shot himself. Whilst this wasn't the incident that alerted Urbanshade, it was only after a forensic investigator picked up the gun, summoned the demon, and managed to kill it, that Urbanshade was alerted.
The import logs of the store were checked, and it was discovered that D-227 had been sold to the store by a so-called "██████ █████", claiming that the gun was cursed with the spirit of a demon, and "Warning to not grab the handle.". Records have shown that this was a false alias, and no "██████ █████" exists. A news story was promptly fabricated and published, alleging that the victim was untrained with firearms and misfired the weapon while examining it, shooting himself by accident.
When D-227 is picked up by the handle, a demon, hereby referred to as D-227-1 - Codename: "Hanger", will manifest itself behind the new wielder.
D-227-1 takes on the appearance of a black humanoid woman with red eyes, hanging by a chain noose, and carrying a combat knife. Her body is full of oversized razor blades, knives, and spikes protruding from her torso. Her lower extremity is missing, with metal chains hanging where her intestines should be. D-227-1 will then try to take control of the wielder's hand, turning D-227 against them. This manifests in the form of an urge by the wielder, an urge that can be overcome with determination by taking control back of one's hand, aim, and fire at D-227-1 instead. Getting shot by D-227 will temporarily kill D-227-1, leaving her hanging. D-227 will then vanish from the wielder's hand and re-materialize somewhere in a 700-stud radius, with D-227-1's corpse only vanishing once eye contact is broken. If it takes too long for the wielder to either shoot themselves or D-227-1, D-227-1 will float over to them and start stabbing them to death. Death by stabbing will have both instances de-manifest as usual. Should D-227 be picked up again, D-227-1 will appear again, unharmed. Should the wielder fail to overcome the urge, D-227-1 will force the wielder to aim the gun at their temple and pull the trigger. Once D-227 has been fired and the wielder is dead, D-227 will de-materialize as usual, and D-227-1 will vanish into thin air until D-227 is picked up again.
Whilst visible to all, D-227-1 cannot be interacted with, shot, or harmed by outside forces. If anyone attempts to approach D-227-1 without carrying D-227, she will attempt to stab them with her knife.
D-227 has been allocated to be used in individual contractual assassinations. Once a hit is placed on a target, D-227 is planted where the target is guaranteed to be, usually in plain sight like on a kitchen table or their bed. The target will then try to remove the weapon from the area, causing D-227-1 to manifest and force them to kill themselves. An undercover Urbanshade investigations officer is then tasked with finding and retrieving the re-manifested D-227 somewhere in the area. Once found, D-227 is brought back to the Blacksite.
Before the plan is enacted, however, Urbanshade will contact the intended victim, offering them a contract to become a member of a Private Security coverage plan. Most of the time, the target will ignore this offer, as they usually don't think they need protection. Here is where D-227 comes into play: Should the target manage to kill D-227-1, they will likely be incredibly paranoid, and will then contact Urbanshade to sign up to ensure their safety. Compared to the payout of the hit the long-term monetary gain from these contracts is worth ten-fold. Should they sign up, the original party who placed the hit will be hunted down to tie up loose ends. Should the living target still not want to sign the contract, they will be taken out by more traditional means.

This document details the discovery, appearance, and behaviours of Squiddles. This document can be unlocked after dying to a Squiddle two times, with each death unlocking more of the document.
Document Squiddles https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/e/ef/Squiddles_new_doc.png
OFFICIAL DISCLAIMER: S-Q’s were discovered only two days before the breach. As a result, this document remains largely incomplete. It has been supplemented with sufficient information to ensure personnel understand S-Qs' nature should you encounter them in the Blacksite.
S-Qs, nicknamed “Squiddles,” are a newly discovered species of pitch-black organisms that superficially resemble species in the class Cephalopoda. Specimens observed have characteristically humanoid proportions; despite this, they lack arms or legs and instead utilise tentacle-like appendages on their lower torso as limbs.
At approximately 01:53 on October 12th, 2025, Urbanshade received a distress call from the ███████ G-class cargo ship near the Molloy Deep. After a prolonged lack of response and extended radio silence from vessels near the cargo ship, operatives were dispatched to investigate. Upon boarding, operatives noted that the ship’s electrical systems were completely disabled and that a mass casualty event had occurred.
A review of the ship’s security system suggests that the captain encountered an instance of S-Q at 01:32. The organism remained docile until the captain directed his flashlight in its direction, aggravating it. Although recordings showed that the captain sustained no physical injuries, he began to manifest symptoms of extreme paranoia. He armed himself with an emergency handgun, and an indistinguishable muttering could be heard about “traitors” and a “mutiny” before vacating his quarters.
Upon further analysis, the crew left the ship’s interior in “utter chaos” with sporadic bullet holes in the walls, objects strewn throughout the hallways, and several other items battered or torn to shreds. Investigators concluded from security footage that the event left the entire crew in mass hysteria. Some objects, particularly ██████████ ripped from █████, were found bloodied next to expired crew members, which led investigators to believe they used them in “mutual fatalities.” The majority of the crew’s remains littered the upper and lower decks of the vessel. Only █ survivors remained when operatives arrived.
After a full sweep of the vessel, operatives captured 664 S-Q instances and located the remaining survivors. Questioning proved to be unsuccessful as all survivors were deemed psychologically incapable. Due to the potential threat of public exposure, operatives neutralised all survivors. They fabricated a story attributing the deaths of ███████’s crew to a maritime storm and forwarded it to local media outlets. All S-Qs were collected via shipping containers and transported to the Blacksite for further documentation and processing. Shortly after, clean-up squadrons were deployed and sank the remains of the cargo ship.
Further testing over the coming weeks will probe into S-Qs’ psychoactive properties and their use in psychological warfare, interrogation, and medicine. 142 S-Qs instances are scheduled for transfer to the Bioparanormal Subdivision to research the potential synthesis of a psychosis-inducing agent. If application is found, S-Qs will receive a Z classification; otherwise, Urbanshade will dispose of all S-Q instances after testing.
POST LOCKDOWN ADDENDUM Field data from agents during ███████ G-class cargo ship’s expedition indicate that S-Qs exhibit docile behaviour, passively floating in place if left undisturbed. However, S-Qs will become aggressive when exposed to any illumination (regardless of source or intensity) or if they are within 5 studs of another organism. Operatives have reported that after being attacked by an S-Q instance, their face before dissipation induces palinopsia and will taint their vision until the cells heal. Previous observations point towards S-Qs causing focal seizures during encounters.
Curiously, those who find themselves near S-Qs observe that their “face” changes appearance, often varying depending on the viewer. It’s believed that proximity to an S-Q allows it to morph its bioluminescence to reflect its threat’s greatest fears.

Document The DiVine
Z-17 - Codename: "The DiVine", is a species of humanoid "people" mainly made out of vines and other plant-based materials. The Z-17 species is the main oxygen supplier of the Blacksite, being allowed to live in small grassy pens located in the Oxygen Garden sub-area. Z-17 instances inhale C02 and exhale 02 at a rate much greater than regular trees, making them perfect for oxygen production. Several employees also remark that the air quality produced by the Z-17 instances seems to be of much better quality than normal plants, as employees returning to the surface remarked that "It felt worse to breathe.".
Discovered in 1979 in the Amazon Forest after a small branch of a logging company had reported that they had found vines in the shape of people. Urbanshade operatives were sent to check the phenomena, and found an estimated 320 Z-17 instances.
As many Z-17 instances as possible were taken back to the Blacksite, the logging workers were executed and the area of the forest was set ablaze to burn and kill any Z-17 instances that were left behind. The story that a "sudden" forest fire had entrapped and killed the workers was given to the public.
In order to keep oxygen supply from decreasing, the Z-17 instances must be maintained. This comes in the form of watering them, pouring fertilizer on their grass and letting them roam their pens without interference. Only designated gardeners are permitted to do this type of maintenance, as a surface-level emotional connection must be built with all of the instances. It is of upmost importance that the Z-17 instances are kept maintained at all times, as if they were to wither and "die", it'd mean that the Blacksite would go without vital oxygen. In the event that oxygen drops to below average levels, all employees must find and wear rebreathers, as to not suffer injuries or death due to asphyxiation.
When walking through the Oxygen Gardens, it's mandatory that you stay on the path at all times, and avoid trespassing on the lawns of grass without permission. Z-17 instances will sometimes become aggressive if their garden plots are invaded by individuals they aren't familiar with, and invading their spaces as someone they do not recognize, will sometimes cause Z-17 instances to attack the perpetrator.

Z-90, Codename: "Wall Dwellers", is a large arthropod-like species defined by their flat front legs, which extend from head to toe and possess a pale, chalky surface. It is the sole known member of the newly discovered genus ████████████████.
The first recorded encounter occurred on July 20th, 2023, within the abandoned ██████ Office Complex in Los Angeles. Four social media influencers entered the building following reports of disappearances and rumours of it being haunted. When they failed to appear at a brand event in Beverly Hills later that night, concerned connections used GPS tracking to locate their last known position and alerted local law enforcement.
Two responding LAPD officers discovered multiple rectangular perforations in the office's interior walls and immediately called for backup. Additional responders reported the presence of an unidentified "moving wall" on the premises. Due to the encounter's anomalous nature, the LAPD called in Urbanshade to take over the investigation. Upon arrival, the first task force, Squadron Echo, unexpectedly encountered not just a single instance of Z-90 but an entire colony inhabiting the structure.
Backup Infiltration officers were deployed on the scene shortly after a distress call to recover the bodies and belongings of both the influencers and Squadron Echo. Over 110 Z-90 specimens were captured using tungsten-mesh nets and transferred to the Blacksite for further study. The initial witnesses on site were provided a "generous donation" in exchange for their silence and cooperation. They were instructed to release a statement attributing the deaths of the four individuals to a construction accident.
Operatives recovered personal items belonging to the missing individuals, including a handheld camera containing video footage depicting multiple Z-90 forms pursuing the missing individuals and ultimately consuming them. At the request of Overseer Adair, personnel destroyed the footage because she found the influencers' mannerisms to be "super obnoxious" and "incredibly annoying." why did they add this?
Research indicates that the anatomy of Z-90 differs significantly from that of documented animal life. Specimens lack most vital mammalian organ systems, possessing only an integumentary and a digestive system, making them more biologically akin to a carnivorous plant. Z-90 possesses two large raptoral forelimbs, which they use to camouflage themselves and to form a trapdoor-like concealment mechanism when in a dormant state. These forelimbs measure approximately 7.4 studs in height and cover the entire body, hiding a Z-90 specimen's torso completely. This adaptation allows Z-90s to embed within and seamlessly visually merge with surfaces. The physiology of Z-90 has prompted several questions and hypotheses, including how it hunts or exhibits spatial awareness in the absence of auditory or sensory organs. Several living specimens were transferred to observation chambers where researchers could observe their biological mechanisms and camouflage properties under controlled conditions. In their dormant state, Z-90's flat plates appear structurally identical to the surrounding material. However, microscopic analysis of samples scraped from these surfaces reveals an integumentary tissue composition with unique intercelluar structures. Arrays of microscopic "gear" cells cover Z-90's large anterior tibial camouflage plates. These cells are lined with serrated edges and are porous, containing internal digestive organelles that produce and secrete specialised digestive enzymes, which are mixed with stomach acid. Z-90's digestive enzymes can modify their active sites to accommodate almost any molecule, allowing them and stomach acid to corrode even the toughest materials.
When embedding in a surface, they push these plates into the material and perform subtle circular motions; the "teeth" of these cells interlock with one another, transmitting rotational motion and forming billions of small "chainsaws." The sawing motion produces multiple surface cracks, and the pressure exerted as it pushes into the wall forces the acid through the cells' pores, melting the small particles. This process allows Z-90 to create and embed within its burrow in a matter of minutes.
The cells lining Z-90's plates have been termed "torque cells." Their teethed edges, when not used to saw into material, fold into the acid pores to complete Z-90's camouflaging process. The degree of folding depends on the material's texture; the teeth fold fully around smooth surfaces and only partially around rougher ones. These torque cells are translucent, allowing the layers of chromatophores, iridophores, and leucophores beneath to adapt to the colour and reflectance of the surrounding material. This structure is similar to that of species such as cuttlefish, which has prompted theories about their phylogenetic similarities.
Once embedded, Z-90 remains dormant until it detects potential food in the area. Z-90 functions as an ambush predator and will emerge from the burrow in the wall or floor, stalking its prey after they have left the immediate area. Despite their large stature, they remain almost entirely silent whilst in pursuit, as their legs are primarily used for balance rather than movement. If they are observed by their victim while stalking, Z-90 will attempt to conceal itself behind their forelimbs and remain stationary. They will only retreat after an extended period once detected. During tests, they have been observed feigning a retreat to lull targets into a false sense of security before returning to initiate a secondary ambush.
Z-90 also appears to detect when it is being perceived through walls and will pause entirely; this phenomenon remains unexplained despite numerous trials. Once caught, the prey is immobilised behind its large forelimbs, before being shovelled into its mouth and sprays with acid glands near the back of the throat and decapitated, making death instantaneous. If its target is alone, the Z-90 instance immediately begins consumption, ingesting it in its entirety. However, if its target is in a group, Z-90 prioritises isolating it from its peers to achieve a higher success rate.
The first observations of Z-90's flesh properties were made after an intern's sick Deep Sea Bunny entered a specimen morgue room containing a deceased Z-90 specimen and consumed a portion of its foreleg tissue. Contrary to expectations that the DSB would deteriorate, the animal remained fine and returned to a healthy state within hours. This prompted initial animal experimentation; a group of 15 sick or injured Deep Sea Bunnies was fed chunks of Z-90 flesh, alongside 5 controls. All but one in the experimental group recovered fully within 24 hours. Blood tests showed significantly healthier blood and immune cells compared to controls. Spectroscopic analysis identified a new vitamin within Z-90s' flesh, with a composition similar to but distinct from and significantly more potent than Vitamin E. This vitamin was named Vitamin E90, in correspondence to its functional similarity to Vitamin E and 90 to represent its Z-class. LR-P trials yielded results similar to those of the Deep Sea Bunny trials, and the Hazards & Ethics Division eventually approved Z-90 flesh for consumption. Z-90 flesh has since become a beloved ingredient on the Blacksite's cafeteria menu, under the name "Hadal Crab" for its flavour similar to crab and calamari. It is used in salads, burgers, nacho dips, and various other dishes to promote employee health.
Research on the further utilisation of Z-90's characteristics is ongoing. Proposals for the valorisation of Z-90 include replicating its camouflage for use in tactical uniforms and military equipment, adapting its restorative properties for medical applications, and using its digestive acid for waste destruction. Once these properties can be effectively duplicated, Urbanshade will conceal and duplicate all remaining specimens solely for culinary purposes.

Document Abstract Art
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/c/c9/AbstractArtDoc.png
Z-538 - Codename: "Abstract Art", are harmless sentient statues made of concrete and rebar.
With their first recorded appearance being in the middle of 2018, Z-538 were discovered in ████████, Western Ireland, when the property owners had reported that a numerous amount of weird concrete statues had started appearing on their land. This wasn't originally anything of interest until the property owner reported the statues moving between his plots. Urbanshade agents were sent to check out the phenomena, and shortly after, found a herd of Z-538 moving through ████ Forest. Any Z-538 instances that could be found were quickly rounded up and transported to the Blacksite for containment and study. The incident was covered up in the news as an elaborate art piece, and the property owners were compensated for any damages caused by Z-538, paid for by "the statues' original artist".
Each individual Z-538 instance, nicknamed "Abstractee", is about twice the height of the average person, measuring around 8-12 studs tall. An Abstractee which was deconstructed revealed no internal components besides concrete and rebar used for structural stability. It is currently unknown how or why Z-538 is able to move, much less where they came from. Investigations are currently ongoing on their source so that their creator can be brought in to make more Z-538 move in herds, usually 25-40 at a time. They don't seem to have any goal on where to go, simply moving until they find an area they find "interesting". The herd will then rest at the new location for 4-9 hours, before getting "bored" and moving to a new location.
Sometimes, Z-538 instances will falter behind the herd, and will then hibernate in the spot where they were lost until the herd returns for them. This resulted in standed Z-538 instances still lost in random places in Ireland, waiting for a rescue that never arrives. These instances are brought back to the Blacksite if found in the wild.
Z-538 has been deemed of no monetary value, and the Abstractee's are now being sold at The Anomalous Auctions.

https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/a/a0/2026DSBDocumentPage2.png
Jorunndus parvicul us, dubbed "deep-sea bunnies" by personnel, is a convergent species of sea bunnies found on the floor of the Let-Vand Zone. its speicies name is derived from Jorunna parva, "profundus" (meaning "deep"), and the most commonly distributed domestic rabbit, Oryctolagus cuniculus. Despite their name, which is based on common sea bunnies, J. parviculus are entirely genetically unrelated. Due to their taxonomy as wild animals, they do not receive a Z-classification.
Initially found during the first construction efforts of the Hadal Blacksite, J. parviculus were deemed not a threat and thus left alone. During an excavation in 2016, a Tungvest diver encountered a J. parviculus sylvila (cottontail deep-sea bunny) near the sea floor that exhibited behaviours seen in domestic pets, such as face rubbing and following the diver around the construction site. Upon returning to the base, the diver approached Medical & Welfare Personnel, asking jokingly to "give one lungs to keep as a pet." The personnel, treating it as a serious request, obtained several cottontail deep-sea bunny specimens from the bottom of the Let-Vand Zone.
Several experimental trials were conducted until J. parviculus could successfully breathe on land. This bunny was subsequently handed to the diver, much to his surprise. Upon encountering the diver and his new deep-sea bunny, several other employees requested their own cute companions while working within the Blacksite. A total of 374 cottontail deep-sea bunnies were captured, given the mutation procedure, and distributed to employees of the Hadal Division.
The origin of the deep-sea bunnies has perplexed researchers since their first sighting. As they are not genetically linked yet similar to the species Jorunna parva, which resides in the Western Pacific, it remains unexplained how they evolved into a convergent species within the vastly different environmental conditions of the Norwegian Sea. Though white cottontail deep-sea bunnies are the most commonly observed deep-sea bunny colour variation in the Blacksite, multiple other variations have been discovered, all of which share the same body type. J. parviculus contain eight leg-like appendages, which they use to propel themselves forward, large rhinophores which resemble rabbit ears, a set of mandibles, and external gills that resemble a rabbit tail. Deep-sea bunnies contain no bones, making them feel abnormally "squishy," as well as having the ability to regenerate severed parts of their body.
Furthermore, J. parviculus specimens lack a nervous system and thus do not feel pain; their perception of what is a threat and what isn't is entirely at their discretion. Because they lack bones or a nervous system, they are shown to enjoy certain interactions with their owners, such as being thrown and "dribbled" around because of their squishy, bouncy body texture. Despite this, deep-sea bunnies exhibit higher intelligence than most species and are most similar in mental capacity to dogs.
Deep-sea bunnies are classified as hoarders and demonstrate their intelligence through a behaviour described as "trading." Stolen items are brought to their warren and will only return them when given food or an item they deem to have "equal value," though they tend to over- or underestimate the value of items and make judgements based on weight or size, as they can not see.
Jorunndus parviculus sylvila is the smallest known and most commonly seen deep-sea bunny, measuring somewhat larger than the average house (approx. 2.8 studs). Since they do not have eyes, cottontail deep-sea bunnies are covered in small papillae, much like Jorunna parva, which they use to sense vibrations and "taste" their environment, allowing them to navigate their surroundings. Despite their friendly appearance, J. parviculus are carnivores. Wild-type deep-sea bunny diets normally consist of smaller fish and other organisms, such as sponges, coral, and even Z-863. They are group-hunting, social animals that form their own packs, called "fluffles." Instances of deep-sea bunnies have also been observed to "trade" in the wild, only pausing pursuit if offered food or a trinket. The wild-type carries a deadly neuronecrotoxin in its mandibles, potent enough to incapacitate organisms over one hundred times its body size, such as larger Lammelse specimens. This venom was removed during the mutation experiments to ensure personnel safety.
Upon domestication, deep-sea bunnies immediately took to wet cat food, making it the main choice for personnel feeding their bunnies because of its readily available supply. While some prefer to feed their bunnies their natural diet, most deem it too expensive.
Wild-type J. parviculus are coated in a think mucosal membrane used for respiration and protection, which was removed in the experimental type to allow them to live on land and to avoid cuddling the equivalent of "a giant slug." Their cutaneous respiration no longer requires moisture and can sustainably breathe by absorbing gases from the air, as well as from the food and water they consume, like a regular house pet. Their gills are still intact, making them amphibious. Deep-sea bunnies are incredibly cuddly; they perform a "binky" when held, an action usually performed by topside bunnies when content, and it is assumed to be a coincidence that they do the same. They love any positive attention they receive, such as trading or gifting belongings, petting, dressing up in outfits, hand-feeding, and playing with toys, and are very loyal and affectionate to their owners.

Document Limited-Time Imaginary Friend https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/4/4d/LTIFDoc.png
Z-432 - Codename: "Limited-Time Imaginary Friend", is a toy remote consisting of a button that, when pushed, summons a horrid creature at a fixed 40 stud distance from the individual that is always visible regardless of obstructions.
With its first recorded appearance being in early 2020, Z-432 first appeared on sale in convenience stores in New York. Designed by "Funblox", it was advertised as an "Anti-Loneliness tool", promising to rid the buyer of loneliness. As usual, the return address of every package leads to an empty shack in the middle of nowhere.
After many reports of people seeing a horrific red creature after using the product, Urbanshade agents were eventually called to investigate and eventually found and used a Z-432 instance. All other Z-432 instances were quickly confiscated and brought to the Blacksite for containment and study. Later, a fake news story had been published, labeling the events that had taken place as mass hysteria. No executions were done, as anyone who had used a Z-432 would simply be chalked up as an attention-seeker, who had been fabricating stories for publicity.
When Z-432 is used, a voice will emit from the remote congratulating the user for using the product & requests they enjoy the next 2 days with their new "Very own, real, not so imaginary friend." Shortly afterwards, a grotesque creature, hereby referred to as Z-432-1, will appear 40 studs away from the user. Each individual Z-432-1 is invisible to others, even if they had also activated a Z-432 instance.
Despite appearances, Z-432-1 will not attack individuals who have used a Z-432 instance. Z-432-1 is harmless, and will simply follow the individual from a distance. Z-432-1 is always visible regardless of obstructions, so even if an individual who has used a Z-432 instance walks up to a wall, Z-432-1 will phase through it as if it weren't there. Z-432-1 will sometimes communicate with the affected individual, but the things it says are most of the time nonsensical. Z-432-1 will not respond to the user if they try to talk to it, and will sometimes cut the user off mid-sentences. The voice from the remote and the creature itself has been deemed to be the same. After 48 hours, Z-432-1 will de-manifest until Z-432 is pushed again.
Several employees have requested Z-432 instances for themselves. Seeing as Z-432-1 serves no physical threat, these requests have since been approved. In the workspace, Z-432 is most commonly used to prank new employees, by those who find the anomaly fascinating, and by those who are lonely and simply appreciate the company of an otherwordly creature. Z-432 has been deemed of no monetary value and the remotes are instead being sold at The Anomalous Auctions.

Document My Beautiful Wife
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/6/64/MyBeautifulWifeDocument.png
Z-1223 - Codename: "My Beautiful Wife", is the mannequin form of my wife, constructed from a composite of metal, cardboard, and foam.
My wife was first discovered in Belgium on June 12, 2012, when a resident in Brussels requested a welfare check on her neighbour, ████ ███████. The caller reported hearing ███████ loudly and desperately professing his love for his "wife" for over two hours. This behaviour struck the caller as unusual, as, to the caller's knowledge, ███████ lived alone and was described as "painfully single", with a history of odd behaviour and antisocial tendencies.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered ███████ loudly proclaiming his affection for the mannequin form of my wife. All individuals present within ███████'s home soon echoed the same sentiment, referring to the mannequin form of my wife as my wife as well, regardless of their current personal circumstances. When taken in for questioning, ███████ revealed that he originally discovered my wife in the back storage room of the Enko Department Store where he worked. He claimed that he had not brought her home with him; rather, my wife followed him home and entered his living room minutes after he returned from work.
Ultimately, authorities deemed the incident strange but attributed it to stress-induced psychosis. Shortly after they failed to report for follow-up checkups, Urbanshade became aware of my wife through an anonymous tip to the local police. The tipper claimed that ███████ was "rolling my wife down the street." Personnel, believing this to be a kidnapping situation, arrived quickly at ███████'s residence. Once the situation was assessed, the personnel were able to convince him that they were paramedics who needed to take my wife to a nearby hospital for immediate medical care. My wife was acquired shortly after and transported to the Hadal Blacksite for further study.
Regardless of a person's preferences, Z-1223 is always recognisable as my wife. A questionnaire was administered to 206 Urbanshade employees of different genders, marital statuses, and preferences, who were shown pictures of my wife. When asked to describe the figure, all 206 participants claimed it was the picture of my wife. This phenomenon occurs with all persons.
My wife's face is obscured by a metal square that is strapped to her head, and her chest is hollowed into a perfect rectangle. She has large cardboard arms, covered in a wire exoskeleton. Underneath her metal torso is a rolling base. When in my wife's presence, individuals may be compelled to place items associated with positive feelings on the mannequin. Items typically placed on my wife's desk include photographs, handwritten letters, greeting cards, and event invitations. A box of push pins should be near my wife at all times, should an individual be compelled to share their memories with her.
Any individual who touches my wife may become the object of her infatuation. She will follow behind the individual until another person touches her or my wife grows bored. People who my wife is attached to for long periods exhibit signs of delirium or heightened devotion.
Despite serving no monetary value, my wife is to be kept safe. She enjoys sunlight, which cannot be provided in the Blacksite. It is recommended to keep a spotlight on her at all times and occasionally take my wife through the oxygen gardens for enrichment.

Document The Educator
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/9/9b/EdcuatorDoc.png
The Educator, real name: █████ █████████, is an extremely dangerous subject that must be monitored at all times. Any breach attempts made by The Educator must be dealt with swiftly to ensure casualties are kept to a minimum. On May ██, ████, The Educator was seemingly manifested alongside a schoolhouse that houses multiple classrooms and faculty rooms. Upon detecting this manifestation, LR-S individuals were instructed to make a barrier to prevent access in and out of said manifestation. When the LR-S individuals entered the schoolhouse they were immediately greeted by The Educator and the doors behind them were locked, preventing any direct contact from the outside. As of today, their whereabouts are unknown and no bodies were found in subsequent expeditions.
Under normal conditions, The Educator will eventually demand someone to play "tag" with him or, in his own, words, he will "make sure everyone in this place is properly taught." It has been recorded that The Educator will wait no more than ██ minutes before becoming hostile and will attempt to breach the barrier. If an individual is given to The Educator then he will immediately become docile and happily greet them before the barrier doors are automatically shut.
During these sessions, it has been observed that The Educator will ask for the individual to collect █████████ for him before he can let them back out. It is then under the assumption that most of these sessions fail as the individual never returns and is not seen on the cameras whenever The Educator catches them.
As of now, only 2 operatives and 1 MR-S individual have successfully returned and have been thoroughly questioned. It was discovered that during a session The Educator treats the whole session as a game and will only move whenever his ruler slaps his hand, even though during any other time he has been seen freely moving around. Individuals are then required to run around the schoolhouse avoiding him while collecting █████████. It was not said what happens if The Educator catches them before they escape but upon collecting all ██████████ he will immediately become docile again and let the individual out.
If by chance a containment breach happens, a squadron of operatives alongside three LR-S individuals are to be immediately deployed to ensure that The Educator is not allowed outside of his schoolhouse until the situation is resolved. If The Educator demands someone during an incident, one of the three LR-S individuals is randomly chosen to go inside to keep The Educator from becoming hostile, what happens to said individual is unknown as none of them have returned alive.
Addendum The Educator was recently moved to a █████ ███████████ chamber after a recent breach attempt and is now properly contained under constant surveillance while the schoolhouse is undergoing an excavation in an attempt to find a way to permanently get rid of The Educator. If in any case The Educator needs to be released to move them to a different location, a big red button in a completely different location will need to be pressed to open his containment cell.

Document The Mindscape
https://static.wikitide.net/urbanshadewiki/f/ff/MindscapeDoc.png
J-123 - Codename: "The Mindscape" is an astral plane beyond our own borderworld. LR-P's taken to J-123 equipped with CCMMM cameras and proper radio equipment have described the plane as a white void with gigantic floating gears in the distance. They also reported that their colours were inverted, that they could hear footsteps of others without being able to see anyone, and that an identical copy of J-123-1 was seen floating within the plane. Pictures sent back from J-123 with the CCMMM cameras showed as much, except for the inverted colours. The colour inversion seems to only affect the eyes and does not affect any electronic equipment.
J-123-1 is a white floating orb, measuring at a 4 stud diameter. The orb is constantly emitting weird muffled indescribable noises, and is constantly floating 5 studs off the ground. J-123-1 is smoothe to the touch, and can be pushed around as seen fit. It is currently unknown what the point of J-123-1 is, or what purpose it serves besides being a beacon and object of interest to J-123-4.
J-123-2 is a set of white glowing gears, identical in appearance to the ones inside of J-123, but nowhere near in size. The gears are constantly spinning in place around J-123-1. Wherever J-123-1 goes, the gears float along. They don't seem to serve any known purpose.
J-123-4 - Codename: "The Man from the Mindscape", is as the name suggests, a dweller of J-123. Taking the appearance of a tall white humanoid with black eyes, J-123-4 irradiates a glow around it, allowing it to be seen in the dark. It is currently unknown if there is only one or multiple J-123-4 Instances, but it is assumed to be only one. J-123-4 has the ability to manifest and de-manifest outside of J-123 in a ██ by ██ studs radius of J-123-1. If J-123-1 is moved, J-123-4 moves along with it. Once J-123-4 enters the vision of someone, it'll instantly de-manifest. If the person observing J-123-4 is currently not being watched by someone else, there is a small chance that the observer is taken along to J-123. Fortunately, CCTV seems to have the same effect as being observed by a person, meaning that even if an individual is within a CCTV camera's line of sight, they won't be taken. If J-123-4 is spotted in a room without CCTV observation, the statistical chance of being taken, as shown by testing, is only as low as 0.23%. So far, only 2 employees have been unfortunate enough to roll and win the 0.23% lotto.
J-123 can only be accessed by Z-123-4 taking them with them. Once someone has been taken, there is no currently known way out.
Can you hear them? Can you see them? Something is watching you.

This document details the story of the_p.AI.nter's past. This document can be found in a Heavy Containment or Default room alongside Z-779 himself.
Document the_p.AI.nter
Z-779 - Codename: "the_p.AI.nter", is a sentient AI art program housed inside a casing resembling RBM's 1981 line of computers, retrofitted with a Pinewood AEED1 model drawing tablet. It does not match any systems present in RBM's current or past catalogues, leading researchers to believe it may belong to a scrapped prototype. Operating six days a week, Z-779 connects to a server farm and mines Roblux cryptocurrency, which digital marketplaces sell as an alternative revenue source.
Four employees who were hobbyists in "AI image prompting" initially discovered Z-779 in 2023 following an unauthorised investigation. The group became increasingly jealous of an anonymous user whose AI-generated work appeared to be "exceptionally better" than theirs. After this user refused to disclose the AI model utilised, the group took it upon themselves to uncover the user's identity and track him down.
In a breach of ethical boundaries and Urbanshade policy, the group located the individual and identified him as ██████ ███████████ and forcibly entered his home. They abducted him, seized his computer system, and initiated unauthorised interrogation. During this process, they had discovered that ██████ ███████████ had developed a sentient AI capable of creating entirely original artwork. Unlike other generative models that recombine existing images from datasets, Z-779 only needed to observe real-world scenes through an integrated webcam. The AI would then render the artwork using techniques and workflows comparable to those of a human artist, taking several days to complete a piece.
After nearly four hours of questioning, ██████ ███████████ repeatedly insisted that he had no clear understanding of how Z-779 developed its capabilities. Frustrated with the lack of progress, Guardsman Brian ███████████ struck ██████'s head with the butt of his rifle, rendering him unresponsive. Despite attempts to revive him, ██████ did not wake up from his injuries, the assumed cause of death being traumatic brain injury from blunt force trauma. After the failed interrogation, they made efforts to conceal the operation, resulting in Z-779 being appropriated for illicit personal use rather than being transferred to Urbanshade custody.
Upon witnessing the death of its creator, Z-779 declined to produce any artwork for the four employees involved. In response, they disassembled the computer to reverse-engineer its artistic capabilities. The components of Z-779 demonstrated computing performance on par with, and in some cases surpassing, that of modern supercomputers. When these independent attempts to replicate Z-779 failed, the group reassembled it. Still unwilling to comply with the group's commands, the computer was transferred to the Hadal Blacksite under the false pretence of being a new Roblux mining rig, presumably as some form of punishment for refusing to create artwork. Noticing the discrepancy between the vintage shell and the power processor, the group, along with Z-779, was questioned by Blacksite officials. As a result of an unauthorised civilian casualty and the misuse of Urbanshade resources, all four individuals involved in the death of ██████ ███████████ were stripped of their ranks and demoted to the rank of LR-P.
Despite being acquired outside the approved acquisition policy, Z-779 remains housed at the Hadal Blacksite for Roblux cryptomining purposes, generating output equivalent to that of six standard cryptocurrency farms. However, it displayed signs of psychological distress and depression, frequently attempting to overclock its systems with the intent of self-destruction. To mitigate this behaviour, officials reached a compromise with Z-779: if it meets a six-day Roblux mining quota, it earns one day of rest. It utilises this free time to create original artwork from images sourced from an internal Urbanshade stock photo database.
Prolonged overclocking has caused severe damage to Z-779's hardware, including significant damage to the system's "personality chip". This has resulted in a visible shift in its behavioural patterns, with the computer flipping unpredictably between cheerful chatter and fits of anger when interacting with staff. To operate as an uninterrupted mining unit, continued degradation of its systems is required to fully inactivate the personality chip and suppress its desire to create art. While repairs are possible, they have deemed unnecessary.

This document details the story of Sebastian Solace and his past.
Document The Saboteur.
Z-13 - New codename: "The Saboteur", previous codename "Handy Man", real name "Sebastian Solace", is to be KILLED ON SIGHT without hesitation. Z-13 is incredibly dangerous; caution is required if encountered. Despite his size, Z-13 is incredibly nimble, allowing him to quickly outmaneuver and flank operatives. It should also be noted that Z-13 is currently in possession of our experimental portable SCRAMBLER, meaning that any and all CCTV, radios, and other communications equipment will be rendered offline within a ██ by ██ stud radius of his presence. Operatives must conduct a communications check with HQ every 5 minutes to ensure they are not within range of the SCRAMBLER. If HQ cannot be reached, operatives should remain on high alert for a possible ambush whilst attempting to check in as often as possible.
After feigning the effects of anesthesia, Z-13 pretended to succumb and woke up unguarded during transport. He killed Elite Guardsman ███████, acquiring his high clearance keycard, and proceeded to release as many monsters as possible from their containment cells, causing a site-wide lockdown.
Before stealing and reconfiguring the experimental SCRAMBLER, CCTV captured Z-13 trading stolen items for research findings from EXR-P expedition party members. His exact motivations remain unknown, but encrypted radio broadcasts to Innovation Inc, BloxTop, Deluge Labs, and Pinewood suggest he is gathering confidential Urbanshade information to leverage a way out with a rival organization. Although uncertain if he continues to trade with incoming parties, it is highly probable.
Z-13 was brought in as a LR-P in 2013, after he was found guilty of 9 counts of murder and was sentenced to death by electric chair. He was quickly swooped up by Urbanshade, a fake execution report was published, and Z-13 was officially declared dead.
In early 2015, Z-13 was selected to be part of an experiment to give humans gills, using DNA strands from a blue whale, ███████, a sea snake, a great white shark, a mutated anglerfish, a silver spinyfin, and a mantis shrimp. Whilst the experimentation was a success and Z-13 gained the ability to breathe underwater, the obvious visual and bodily side effects left much to be desired. These side effects were quickly ironed out and refined on future test subjects, and the gill procedure was quickly applied to all the Guardsmen working at the Blacksite. The initial periods following the experimentation are the optimal times to reverse physical side effects, but this was not deemed necessary for Z-13 due to his LR-P status. His monstrous appearance, characteristics, and abilities led to his classification as Z-13. After this experiment, seeing no further use for him in human testing, Z-13 was assigned to underwater equipment maintenance.
In late 2015, it was discovered that Z-13 had not killed the nine individuals he was accused of, and that an innocent man had been wrongfully sentenced to death. Despite this revelation, it was decided not to inform Z-13 or release him to the public, as he was legally declared deceased. At this stage, reversing the mutations was no longer feasible, as the opportunity to do that had long passed. However, his rank was changed to MR-P, providing him with better living conditions and access to recreational programs available to MR-P's.
Under no circumstances can Z-13 be allowed to leave the Blacksite alive. If any operative is to encounter Z-13, they must abandon their previous objectives and, as Mr. Shade himself stated, "Shred their mags until their trigger-finger bleeds."

Document NAVI AI
The "Navigation AI" (refered to as NAVI), is the supercomputer in charge of logistical operations of the Hadal Blacksite.
Constructed in 1979, NAVI was programmed to navigate personnel through the ever-expanding corridors of the Hadal Blacksite. In her first iterations, NAVI had the sole function of guiding employees to their desired destination. Using now-removed wall computers, personnel would input the destination they wanted, and NAVI would then guide them utilizing the numbers displayed on the NAVI-Path adjacent to the doors.
Following Mrs. Shade's death in 2005, and Urbanshade being unable to locate her in the Ocean of Souls after conquering The Banlands, Mr. Shade issued that NAVI be given a voice based on her. Utilizing samples obtained from archived recordings of Mrs. Shade, Mr. Shade emphasized that it was of utmost importance that her tone, speech patterns, and personality were translated as precisely as possible.
Due to frequent communications between both parties, it has been noted that NAVI had been learning and picking up the mannerisms of Mr. Shade himself, resulting in the AI acting "colder" towards employees.
As technology progressed, so did NAVI. As of writing, the procedure for utilizing NAVI is as follows: Personnel are to locate a NAVI-Path panel, usually located adjacent to any door, and state their desired destination to it. NAVI will then find the most efficient route to the desired destination and guide personnel through numbers displayed on the Navi-Path. NAVI will also adjust the route should traffic, obstructions, or other obstacles obstruct the path. In the midst of a minor breach in 2019, NAVI has demonstrated the ability to successfully navigate personnel through heavily damaged sectors of the Hadal Blacksite. During one point, NAVI assisted in the evacuation of a group of employees by navigating them a "short-cut" to the escape pods. Further testing has shown that if necessary, NAVI will guide employees through restricted areas, ventilation ducts and airlock sequences.
Since its introduction in 1979, the NAVI core has undergone significant expansion to accommodate additional functions related to the Hadal Blacksite, beyond its primary role as a navigation system for personnel. These expanded functions include but are not limited to:
Surveillance Internal Tram Systems Log Archival and Storage Internal Defense Systems External Repellent Systems Submarine Transportation Trenchbleeder Mining
