As a result of this, not only had she successfully continued the family legacy of being in law enforcement, but got herself a place in INTERPOL's Investigative Services Division.

During her time as an INTERPOL agent, she had stopped many criminal masterminds and syndicates of every shape and size, but the only one that she was always chasing after was Sly Cooper. This all began at the Paris Opera House, where the head of the department tasked her to keep an eye on the Diva Diamond. But of course Sly manages to steal it and leaves Carmelita with egg on her face. Ever since that moment, she has been on a personal vendetta for Sly. Although it isn't all about chasing each other and trying to arrest him. The two of them had dated for a few months after Sly had amnesia (which turned out to be fake years later), before that broke off and turned back into the usual cat and mouse chase again.

Ever since then, she has managed to balance her usual work with continuing her vendetta, although something seems to be missing from her life. Although it had ended badly, being in a relationship with Sly had awoken something in her that she hadn't felt before. Being in a relationship with him felt so warm, so right for her.
