Bankai Minazuki= Unohana’s Bankai is one of the most mysterious in the series. When activated, Minazuki releases a dark, blood-like substance that coats the battlefield leaving the sky red. The exact nature of her Bankai is not fully explained, but it seems to create an environment that enhances both her and her opponent's suffering, pushing their physical and mental limits. It also seems to have the power to resurrect her and her opponent during battle, allowing for continuous fighting. The blood motif suggests that it represents her violent past as a Kenpachi.

Zanpakutō Minazuki=(Flesh-Drops' Gorge): In sealed form, Minazuki is slightly longer than an ordinary katana, and resembles a nodachi. The tsuba has an oval shape, and the handle is red. Instead of tying it to her obi, Unohana carries her Zanpakutō over her shoulder by a rope strap in "Tachi style", or lets Isane carry it for her.

Details=Unohana Retsu, originally known as Yachiru Unohana, was the first Kenpachi and the most feared warrior in Soul Society due to her unmatched swordsmanship and bloodthirsty nature. She roamed the outer districts seeking powerful opponents and eventually crossed paths with a young Zaraki Kenpachi, who impressed her with his raw strength during an intense duel. Zaraki unconsciously held back his power to prolong the fight, leaving both warriors changed: Zaraki suppressed his strength from then on, and Unohana began to feel the emptiness of her violent life. After this, Unohana abandoned her ruthless ways and became the calm, compassionate captain of the 4th Division, hiding her identity as the original Kenpachi while becoming Soul Society’s most skilled healer. Despite this transformation, her deadly past and abilities remained intact, secretly shaping her true nature.]
