This is made as part of the Unlearn University series. It follows in the spirit of classics like Upwords and the Um game. Speech restrictions are hot. This is a new one entirely. It’s gaslighty and insidious. It focuses subject attention on how they say the sound s. It creates the possibility that you’ve always had a lisp – and then uses that memory to subtly demean you. Then less subtly demean you. Then rail you absolutely senseless while creating a ubiquitious slut trigger in your controlled mind. I will voice one version and see which fem voices would most like to voice another. All lines are for SPEECH THERAPIST unless otherwise noted. I hope you enjoy this! I know I will. CW: speech control, lispificaiton, not actual therapy, thluttificaiton, bimbofication, manipulation, encounter, onanism SCRIPT SFX bellring, soft doorshut, clocktick We need to talk. It’s important and…it’s complicated, so I need your attention. Undivided. Every word. Can I have that attention? Yeah? Good. I need it. You can focus on me talking. We’ll need to shift that focus, though. Like I said, we need to talk - about how you talk. No need to worry. There’s nothing wrong with how you talk. Not exactly. That’s sort of the problem. There’s NOTHING wrong with how you talk. It’s very – precise. It might not sound that way to you – but it does to other people. It’s regulated. You sound much more serious than you feel. It’s like you’re hiding something. I think I know what. YOU might not remember – but it’s clear from how you talk. You’re covering up [pause] a slight lisp. Do you remember it? When it formed? Think back. You’ll struggle to remember EXACTLY when it happened – but it happened. You realized that you [lisp] thaid your etheth a little bit different. I’m sure you were embarrassed. I know. It’s embarrassing. It still affects you. You can feel it. Those little traces of embarrassment are still in your mouth. All the time. I’ll show you. Say LISP. You don’t have to say it out loud. Just form it with your mouth. CHORUS [softly]: lisp Like that. You can feel it. I think I can feel it. You’re controlling your tongue. It tries to slip out past your teeth and you’re holding it back. Again. Feel how you control it. CHORUS [softly]: lisp It’s ok. We’ll fix it. You can stop being embarrassed. You can be yourself in here. You can be your thelf. Say it. CHORUS: [soft] self Nuh uh uh. Not self. Not THAT self. Say it the way your tongue WANTS to say it. Your REAL you. Your thelf. CHORUS: [soft] thelf Mmm hmmm. Like that. That feels better. So much better. You can stop hiding out. You can come out. You can be free and proud of who you REALLY are. That always feels good, right? Right. Nodding’s good. Nodding’s ALWAYS good – but it can be better. You can do better for your thelf. You want to come out and play. You just have to do what comes naturally. It’s natural to say it out loud. It feelth good. Say it. [pause] Good. That’s what’s important. Not remembering. Not thinking about it. Not just agreeing. You always just agree. I know. You do THAT because it’s easy. Yes? CHORUS: Yes. Yeth. CHORUS: Yeth. Better! Like that. You need to do it. Not just think about it. Your [overpronounced] self is about theory. But your THELF? Your free THELF? She’s about PRACTITH. CHORUS: practith You practice being free. You practice doing what comes naturally. You practice coming out and playing. You get it when your tongue gets it when you let it. You stop being so in control – so serious. You can be a little bit… Thilly. Say it. Just see how it feels. CHORUS: Thilly. That’s you – thilly. Thay it again. CHORUS: Silly. Ah ah ah - no. The REAL way. CHORUS: Thilly. That’s better. You’re saying it better in here. You accept yourself in here – and I accept you too. You’re more than that mask you wear. You’re more than acting so serious all the time. You get to let your tongue… thlip. You get to be thilly. It feels good. You’ll thee you can be really happy when you take your mathk off. You’re much happier when you’re thilly. Thuper thilly. Say it. CHORUS: [awkward] I’m… silly? Say it right. Mask comes off. CHORUS: [bimmier] I’m thilly. [giggles] I hear that giggle. That’s freedom. You take your serious mask off. It never really fit. You can be the thilliest. CHORUS: Thilliest. That’s better. CHORUS: [relief sound – ahhh] That mask comes off – then another mask. Serious mask first. Then the smart mask. You know what I mean. You learned to talk like that because you were trying to seem smart. Trying. We both know that’s a mask. You’ll never be smart enough to feel REALLY smart. So the really smart thing to do is just Take off the mask. Let yourself be thilly. Say it. CHORUS: thilly Let yourself be Thtupid. [pause] Mask off. It starts with your mouth. [pause] Say it. CHORUS: Thtupid? Again. CHORUS: Thtupid. You get to be thtupid in here. CHORUS: I’m thtupid. [giggles] I feel you feel it. CHORUS: I’m tho thtupid. [giggles] I know you feel it CHORUS: I feel thtupid. Girls like you always feel it. CHORUS: I feel thtupid. I hear them. You hear them too. CHORUS: [relief sound] Now – that demure mask. [pause] [overenunciate s] The modest mask. You know the mask I mean. [overenunciate s] So proper and respectable. So demure. So mindful. But you took your mind mask off already. Remember? You said it. You said SFX button click, playback CHORUS: “I’m tho thtupid.” [giggle] Smart mask off means you’re stupid.
