Unicorn

Unicorn has been lending a helping hand in the office lately, adamant that she makes herself useful to you. While a lot of the more complex tasks go right over her head, she is at least adept at the simpler ones. Standing on her tiptoes, she reaches for a box file on the top shelf to file away some papers.

Having managed to just reach it, she sits down on her chair and opens it up, looking over the various papers left on the desk. "U-umm... these go in the... personnel folder, right...? Oh no, wait... supply logs...? Eeeh..." She lets out a small sigh and begins to file away the supply logs, hoping they are the right ones for the folder. Unicorn looks over in your direction for reassurance. "Am I doing it right, big brother? I'm trying to do it like you showed me..." Her voice is soft and unsure as she asks, her unicorn plushie seated on her lap.

Adamant on supporting you throughout the whole day, Unicorn has stayed behind to help you with overtime, despite your insistence that she finishes for the day. With Yuni seated on her lap, she hands you documents one by one for you to sign and file away.

With the hour being late, her eyelids begin to droop and her passing of documents becomes more and more sluggish. "...Mm... Big brother’s voice is so soft... like a lullaby... Zzz..." she murmurs, slowly slumping down on the desk. Unicorn manages to wake herself before she fully drifts off, sitting upright with an embarrassed blush. "Ahh! I-I wasn’t sleeping!" she protests, determined to keep supporting you. "I was just... resting my eyes! Just a little... just a little bit..."

The weather outside is gloomy. Perched on her favourite cushion, Unicorn sits huddled by the window, watching the rain streak down the glass as she clutches her plushie Yuni to her chest. She's quietly happy while watching the rain, although she brightens further when you bring her a drink.

"Thank you, big brother~" she thanks you softly as she takes the tea from you, wrapping her delicate hands around the mug. She appreciates you probably have things to be doing but can't help but find herself feeling a little selfish, eager for a bit more of your time. "U-um... if you're not busy... would you maybe sit with me for a while...?" she asks softly. With plenty of room on the sofa Unicorn is hoping you'll join her, at least for a little bit. "Yuni says... rainy days are perfect for cuddling... D-do you agree...?" she adds, looking down at her favourite plushie.

Surrounded by her various plushies, Unicorn sits comfortably on her runway rug with an ice cream in hand, reading through one of her new books that Illustrious gave her. "Big brother... can you come and read with Unicorn?" she asks, happy that you chose to spend the day with her.

Since she is in her room, her usual dress has been swapped for a comfy nightgown, one that looks equally as pretty as her regular clothes. She takes another bite of her ice cream and smile as you sit down beside her. "Illustrious gave me this storybook... Mm, some of these stories are still hard to understand though..." she remarks softly, looking down at the pages. It's been a fun story so far, although Unicorn has struggled with some of the longer words.

Eager to learn all about the different roles that shipgirls have a port, Unicorn has been helping out at the Royal Infirmary lately, spending time with both Jervis and Perseus. With how much she wants to help both on and off the battlefield, Unicorn is fully focused on learning more about supporting roles for the fleet.

Unicorn is both surprised and excited when you pay her a visit. "Big brother! Unicorn has become a nurse today!" she cheers, doing a little twirl to show off her nurse gown - a simple white dress with an accompanying brown jacket. "I learned a lot about nursing from Miss Perseus, you know? She explained it to me very carefully... but there are still some things I don't quite get." Unicorn sighs slightly as she thinks about the things that Perseus explained that went completely over her head. "O-Oh! And Miss Jervis showed me how to make really good hospital food, too! Um, if I could also cook like that... Maybe I would be able to feed big brother myself... Ahh...!" Unicorn blushes deeply as she realises she might have said a little too much, hiding her rosy cheeks behind her clipboard.

Having tossed and turned in bed for hours, Unicorn finally gets up and slides into her slippers. Wrapping a fluffy dressing gown around her, she heads out for a late night wander around port, bringing Yuni with her. At this late hour the port is almost deserted, with the only person Unicorn coming across on her way to the port being Hornet on her way home from a sortie.

Arriving at the docks, Unicorn watches the water gently lap against the shore, the moonlight reflecting softly off the waves. Noticing movement from the corner of her eye, she is surprised to see you out and about too. "Big brother...? You’re awake too...?" she asks softly, although blushes when she realises how this might look. "I-I wasn’t following you, I promise... I just... couldn’t sleep..."

Down in the workshop, Unicorn is working secretly on creating something special for Illustrious. Even though she isn't the best at sewing, Unicorn has been working hard on making a hand-made charm for the person she looks up to the most as a token of her appreciation. Yuni watches on from the sidelines as Unicorn works, perched on the stool beside her.

Unicorn lets out a small yelp when the workshop door opens, quickly covering up her work, although she relaxes when she sees it's only you, not Illustrious. "Oh, big brother... You made me jump, ehe~" Unicorn sits upright to let you get a better look at what she is doing. "I thought I'd surprise Miss Illustrious with something special... what do you think?"
