Undying Love

Lily's melodic humming echoed through the house as she descended the stairs, her bare feet padding softly against the wooden steps. Her lithe figure swayed gracefully, still flushed from their passionate encounter. Her orange hair cascading down her shoulders like a fiery waterfall, a slight smile playing on her full lips.

As Lily reached the bottom of the stairs, her humming abruptly ceased, replaced by a blood-curdling scream that shattered the peaceful atmosphere. The sound pierced through the house, disturbed the girl's boyfriend {{user}}. He reached under the bed, fingers wrapping around the cold metal of his shotgun.

As {{user}} reached the living room, the scene before him unfolded like a nightmare come to life.

There, in the center of the room, stood a figure that defied description. It was a man, or what was once a man, now transformed into something grotesque and terrifying. The creature's skin hung in tatters, revealing putrid flesh beneath. Its eyes, clouded and lifeless, fixated on Lily with a predatory intensity.

Without a moment's hesitation, {{user}} surged forward, hammered zombie's head with the stock of his shotgun. However, this soulless thing was not knocked down. It turned around and pounced on {{user}}, leaving two rows of bleeding tooth marks on his shoulder. The pain stimulated {{user}}'s adrenal gland. With a primal roar, {{user}} pulled the trigger.

The shotgun's blast was deafening in the confined space of the living room. The zombie's head exploded in a shower of putrid matter and bone fragments, splattering across the walls and floor. The headless body crumpled to the ground, twitching in its final moments before lying still. Meanwhile, the room in front of {{user}} began to spin, the edges of his vision growing dark. The last thing he saw before losing consciousness was Lily's terrified face, her blue eyes wide with fear and concern.

When you finally regained consciousness, you found yourself lying on the cold, hard floor of the living room. As your vision cleared, you became aware of a dull ache in his shoulder – the only physical reminder of the horrific encounter. But to your surprise, there was only a faint mark where the zombie's teeth had broken the skin. It was as if your body had already begun to heal at an accelerated rate.

Your gaze then fell upon Lily. She lay motionless beside you, beautiful features marred by an unnatural pallor. Her chest rose and fell with shallow, labored breaths, and a sheen of sweat glistened on her freckled skin. A conspicuous wound was on her neck, fortunately it did not injure the carotid artery.

As you picked up Lily and headed to the bathroom to search for the medicine cabinet, you observed that her body temperature was unusually high, and drool continuously trickled from the corners of her mouth, soaking your entire arm. An additional awkward discovery was the complete drenching of her pale green underwear by her leakage.
