- #1The SOUL Traits
Keys: The SOUL Traits
The SOUL Traits are seven powerful singularities of Chromatic Magic tied to different emotions felt by any living organism, developed within a person's SOUL. Only beings composed of physical matter and flesh can directly manifest a Trait, such as humans and monsters who have consumed food made by humanity. The only method for someone to naturally obtain their Trait is by having an experience in their lives that required them to have a certain behavior. The SOUL of a human usually inflicts its magic on-to the human using it, giving the human a slight change. Depending on the Soul trait of a human, the human’s eye color will usually be the same color as their Soul, and in some instances, hair as well. When a human dies, they will slowly lose their traits.
- #2Determinationconstant
Keys: Determination
Determination: The rarest trait out of the 7 traits. Along with human history, it has been proven that only one of this kind can be found in each generation. This kind of magic is only driven by willpower, and someone can lose their determination when they lose hope. The color of the Trait is red.
- #3Bravery
Keys: Bravery
Bravery: Is the only trait that can be divided into physical and moral aspects. This is usually balanced in each person to the other. Physical Bravery resists everything very well: physical pain, hard work, exhaustion, or the possibility of receiving injuries or even death. Moral Bravery allows you to act correctly despite the dishonor, shame, or social rejection you might get from your decisions. The color of the Trait is orange. The Bravery soul trait is known for its destructive power, and it is a purely combat oriented trait. Those with this trait have outstanding combat prowess and will almost never retreat from battle. However, if a wizard cannot control their magic, it could harm them. Therefore, a Bravery wizard must be resilient emotionally as well as physically.
Limited Fire Immunity: Bravery wizards are immune to magical fire but not natural fire. Fragokinesis: Bravery users can create magic blasts that explode on impact. The power of the explosion depends on the user. Weapon of Bravery: People with a Bravery souls are able to make a weapon made out of magic, but it takes an immense amount of practice to do something like this. Statistics Amplification: If a Bravery soul is fighting next to other people that feel like being brave or feel self-confident, that Bravery soul would get stronger as a result. Pyrokinesis: Bravery has a natural affinity with fire, allowing Bravery souls to generate it, or manipulate fire from other sources, even if the source is another fire user. Aura: All traited humans have access to a passive aura, an invisible barrier that surround the user's body to protect from damage
- #4Justice
Keys: Justice
Justice: A justice person can be easily identified in a group according to their personality. They'll also usually show and manifest their traits at a very young age. Justice's magic will rarely be affected negatively by a situation since the person lies on their own morals and decisions to boost their magic. The color of the Trait is yellow. Justice magic focuses primarily on ranged attacks, and almost everyone with this trait have some type of ranged weapon or projectile. This allows some safety for Justice wizards, as they don't have to get close to their opponents. Weapon of Justice: Almost all Justice users have a weapon that is a form of a projectile, or fills objects with magic to turn them into projectiles. Other weapons are doable, but even then they are usually use as projectiles, or utilize projectiles in some way. Statistics Amplification: A justice soul gets stronger when people around them feel the same way in the situation that needs justice.[1] Aura: All traited humans have access to a passive aura, an invisible barrier that surround the user's body to protect from damage.
- #5Patience
Keys: Patience
Patience: This trait's magic is extremely flexible and unpredictable. While the other traits have a common theme upon their abilities, patience's magic may manifest differently between different people. For example, some can basically slow down the time of the people and objects around them for a short period of time. The color of the Trait is cyan. The Patience trait is one of the more balanced traits in terms of offense and defensive. At face value, it's magic is primarily supportive not very damage oriented, usually resorting to restraining opponents, inflicting minor damage, or making it easier for allies to fight. However, this brand of magic can also very easily be used for offense, ending up quite deadly. This type of magic is also known to be extremely flexible and unpredictable. Although all the other traits have common themes upon their abilities, this trait's magic may manifest itself differently between wizards.
Time Manipulation: A rare form of patience magic allows the user to slow down time. The effect is similar to how gravity affects time. While it is impossible to reverse or stop time entirely, it is possible to slow it down to the point where it looks like it stopped. However, the efficacy of this ability depends on multiple factors, such as the distance between the user and the object(s) or the number of objects being manipulated. As stated earlier, this type of magic is rare and thus not much is known about how it's limits. Strings/Ropes: Other SOUL Traits usually have a theme when it comes to weapons summoning, or allow users to summon a variety of weapons, Patience users are only able to summon rope-based weapons to help aid them in battle, though most simply summoning strings. However, the way the strings manifest vary from person to person. Statistics Amplification: A patience wizard soul can get stronger when people share the patience even if they don't have a patience soul. [1] Aura: All traited humans have access to a passive aura, an invisible barrier that surround the user's body to protect from damage.
- #6Kindness
Keys: Kindness
Kindness: In terms of quantity, kindness is the rarest trait out of all the traits (excluding determination, of course). This was concluded merely because of the cruel nature that the human species possesses. While all humans possess kindness, very few will decide to practice it and live by it with enough will power to make it their trait. The color of the Trait is green. The Kindness trait is a primarily defensive/support type trait. True to it's name, the magic of this trait primarily focuses on helping and protecting others. The kinder the wizard, the more powerful their abilities will be. Despite not being combat oriented, some Kindness wizards can use their abilities offensively.
Shields/Armor: Those with the Kindness trait have the ability to create shields, though some people are able to create armor such as a helmet. The shields created usually are a circle or a dome. Shield Shapeshifting: Some Kindness wizards have the ability to manipulate their shields into different shapes. This allows them more versatility in battle as they can change their shields to fit the situation, even being able to turn them into weapons. A various of wizards in the episode Hope showing Kindness users manipulating shields in a various of ways. Shield Manipulation: Kindness wizards in animosity all were able to manipulate shields of other kindness mages around them, and even enhance the durability of it. For example, the Avalon was powered to keep the kumuzila trapped inside the shield. In Hope a scene was shown 3 kindness wizards maintaining a large shield on a street to keep 5 kumulings away. Healing Magic: Kindness users can restore biotic organisms to their optimal health curing damage or withered organisms, wounds, by generating glowing green magic around the area via healing magic. Statistics Amplification: If a person shows some kindness near a kindness wizard (even if they have a different trait) it will help make that wizard become stronger. HATE Resistance: Kindness souls have an innate resistance to HATE, as the very concept of the trait goes against what HATE is. So while it is possible to corrupt a Kindness soul, it is quite difficult. Aura: All traited humans have access to a passive aura, an invisible barrier that surround the user's body to protect from damage.
- #7Integrity
Keys: Integrity
Integrity: While Integrity seems to make up the majority of the population, it is the trait that is more likely to lose its magic and result in what is known as a Grey Soul. It is inside a human's nature to lie or to break your own morals to do something. Even when it's the right choice, and Integrity people's magic can be affected by it. Compared to the other traits, their stability is very fragile. The color of the Trait is dark blue. The Integrity trait is one of the most versatile traits. It's abilities can be applied in a variety of situations and they can be difficult to deal with if not prepared. The biggest weakness of this trait is how easy it is for a wizard to lose their trait, so wizards with this trait have to be very careful an know their limits. When a wizard like this does exist, however, Integrity can be one of the most powerful traits.
Weapon of Integrity: An integrity wizard can summon their own weapon made out of their own magic, but it takes a lot of practice for the user to master it fully. Integrity weapons don't have a theme unlike other traits due to the versatility of its magic. Gravity Manipulation: Integrity users have the ability to manipulate gravity, usually via creating platforms in the air out of magic. While seemingly basic, these platforms can allows the user to walk on vertically or upside down. They also can release large amounts of kinetic force, which can be used offensively as well as to propel oneself. Statistics Amplification: An integrity wizard can get stronger when their partner shares the same morals or feelings of integrity. [1] Aura: All traited humans have access to a passive aura, an invisible barrier that surround the user's body to protect from damage.
- #8Perseveranceconstant
Keys: Perseverance
Perseverance: Perseverance is well known for being a stable and powerful kind of magic. It's great for cutting through any defenses in combat. This trait also shares the similarity with Justice of being stable due to their magic being related to their own will power. The simple fact of having a goal in mind might even boost someone's magic power. The color of the Trait is purple. It is stable and powerful. This magic is related to the user's will power. Therefore, this kind of magic is similar to Justice's, and Determination's magic. Wizards with this magic are quite known to cause damage that takes a while to heal. It can be hard for the wizard to lose this magic, but it depends on the user's goals. Their magic varies in effectiveness depending on the situation they're in.The Perseverance trait is probably the most balanced trait, second only to Determination. While the other traits focuses primarily on offense or defense/support, Perseverance can be used effectively for both simultaneously. It focuses on close range combat, in contrast to the Justice trait; most users will focus on using their magic to give them an advantage is melee based fights, giving them immense durability as well as rendering most defenses useless. The wounds they inflict are known to be difficult to recover from, making them useful in drawn out fight. The only situation where a Perseverance wizard may not be useful is against a wizard with ranged magic.
Weapon of Perseverance: Perseverance wizards focuses on summoning something to help them with close range combat but can use ranged weapons if needed. Each mage manifests a different magical construct for either offense or defense. Statistics Amplification: Perseverance wizard gets stronger when someone nearby shares the same feeling of being perseverance, the will to achieve. Anti Healing: Perseverance wizards are capable of making it harder to use healing magic with wounds they inflicted upon opponents causing the opponent to have a harder time healing the wounds inflicted by the user. Persevering Against Death: Perseverance users can keep themselves alive longer using their magic if inflicted with fatal damage. However, they will still die if not treated quickly. Aura: All traited humans have access to a passive aura, an invisible barrier that surrounds the user's body to protect from damage. The aura of a perseverance wizard is more powerful then an average mages aura.
- #9HATE
Keys: HATE
HATE: People with this trait can have there own personality, but if under the HATE's influence, the wielder will start to become violent, psychotic, brutal and progressively begin to lack self-control. This will continue to get worse unless they can calm themselves down or are knocked out. HATE is a dark substance, Not much is known about it, but it has been proven to be even more dangerous and far more powerful than FEAR and DETERMINATION. This also applies to the soul too. The soul is far more powerful then regular HATE as the soul is made up of a ocean level amount of HATE densed down into a small soul.
- #10The Multiverseconstant
Keys: Multiverse, The Multiverse
The Multiverse is a central concept in the Undertale AU community, and it refers to the idea that there are infinite alternate universes (AUs) branching from the original Undertale timeline. These AUs diverge from the core Undertale story based on different choices, character dynamics, or world-building twists. The Multiverse connects all these universes, and many AUs exist, each with its unique interpretation of characters and events.
+Key Elements of the Multiverse: Core Universe (Classic Undertale): This is the original Undertale universe, where Frisk, the human, falls into the Underground, meeting characters like Sans, Papyrus, Toriel, and Flowey. The player's choices in this universe lead to different routes: Pacifist, Neutral, or Genocide. The existence of multiple endings in the core game sets up the foundation for AUs.
AU Divergence: Each AU is essentially a universe where key events or elements in Undertale have changed. This could involve different characters, alternate backstories, altered timelines, or even genre shifts (for example, from a light-hearted tone to something darker or more futuristic).
Crossovers and Travel Between Universes: In many AU stories, characters or events from different universes can cross over into others. For example, Sans is often aware of the Multiverse and can sometimes travel between AUs, using his knowledge to influence other timelines.
+Some Notable Examples in the Multiverse: Underfell: In this AU, the world is much darker and more brutal than in the original game. Characters like Sans and Papyrus are more aggressive and ruthless. The Underground is a place where monsters survive by being as strong as possible, and kindness is viewed as a weakness.
Underswap: In Underswap, character roles are reversed. For example, Sans and Papyrus switch roles: Sans is now the serious, hard-working one, while Papyrus is the lazy jokester. Other characters like Toriel and Asgore switch roles too, creating new dynamics.
Error!Sans and Ink!Sans: These are two characters that represent different parts of the Multiverse itself:
Error!Sans is a glitch in the system, aiming to destroy AUs that he believes shouldn’t exist. His main goal is to collapse the Multiverse into nothingness. Ink!Sans, on the other hand, is a protector of the AUs. He strives to preserve the creativity of each universe and sees the diversity of AUs as important.
+The Role of Gaster in the Multiverse: W.D. Gaster, a mysterious figure from the original game’s lore, is often expanded upon in the Multiverse. Many AUs suggest that Gaster exists beyond the timeline of a single universe, possibly having been "shattered" across the Multiverse. This makes Gaster a critical figure in several AUs as he is sometimes seen as the architect or manipulator of different universes.
+Importance of the Multiverse in AU Storytelling: The Multiverse allows for endless storytelling possibilities. Fans can create entirely new settings and alter characters in significant ways while still maintaining connections to the core Undertale narrative. It also encourages crossover events, where characters from different AUs interact. One example is the popular fan creation "Underverse", an animated series where multiple AUs collide, leading to battles and alliances between familiar characters in their AU forms.
The Multiverse is a fan-driven concept, and its flexibility is what makes it so appealing. Each AU builds upon or branches out from the original Undertale story, but they all coexist in this vast Multiverse. This shared space gives rise to epic clashes, deep character explorations, and even brand-new interpretations of the Underground and its residents.
- #11Underverseconstant
Keys: The Underverse, The Event, Underverse
Underverse is a fan-made animated series created by Jakei (Jael Peñaloza), and it's one of the most popular Undertale AU crossover projects in the fandom. The series brings together various Undertale AUs and revolves around the idea of the Multiverse—a collection of alternate universes, each with its unique take on the original Undertale storyline. Underverse is well-known for its high-quality animation, intense battles, deep character development, and emotional storytelling.
+Plot Overview of Underverse: Underverse focuses on the conflicts that arise when different AU timelines start colliding. At the center of the story are characters like Ink!Sans and Error!Sans, who play major roles in maintaining or disrupting the stability of the Multiverse. The series also features other well-known AU versions of Sans, like Cross!Sans, Underswap!Sans (Blue), and Underfell!Sans (Red), among many others.
+Main Conflict: The plot revolves around Cross!Sans (also known as X!Sans), who hails from an AU called "X-Tale." His universe was destroyed, and he seeks to create a new world using a powerful artifact called the X-Event. However, this plan involves stealing fragments of the souls of other characters across different AUs, which throws the Multiverse into chaos.
Ink!Sans—a protector of the Multiverse—tries to stop Cross!Sans from causing further harm to other timelines. Error!Sans, on the other hand, has his agenda: he wants to destroy AUs entirely, believing they disrupt the natural order.
+Key Characters: Cross!Sans (X!Sans): The main antagonist in the early part of Underverse. He comes from the X-Tale AU, where he lost everything, including his universe. His desperation to create a new world drives him to steal pieces of other souls from different AUs. Cross!Sans' story is one of loss, regret, and misguided hope.
Ink!Sans: Ink is a protector of the Multiverse and one of the main protagonists. He’s a creative being who exists to keep the AUs alive and preserve the stories within each universe. In Underverse, he tries to maintain balance and peace, despite the chaos caused by Cross!Sans and others.
Error!Sans: A glitch in the Multiverse, Error!Sans seeks to destroy AUs, believing that the existence of too many universes leads to disorder. He’s essentially the opposite of Ink!Sans and serves as an antagonist, though his motivations are rooted in his belief that destroying AUs will bring peace to the Multiverse.
Underfell!Sans (Red) and Underswap!Sans (Blue): These versions of Sans are from their respective AUs. They play important roles in the story, offering different perspectives and attitudes towards the conflicts happening in the Multiverse. Red is more aggressive and cynical, while Blue is cheerful and optimistic, yet both get involved in the battles and dilemmas of Underverse.
+Themes: Loss and Desperation: Cross!Sans' story is one of desperation to rebuild his lost universe. This leads him to make morally questionable decisions, and his character development focuses on the cost of his actions.
Preservation vs. Destruction: Ink!Sans represents creation and the preservation of art and stories (the AUs), while Error!Sans represents destruction and chaos. Their conflict explores the balance between keeping things as they are and letting them fade away.
AU Interaction: Underverse brings together characters from different AUs and shows how they interact with each other. The series showcases how each AU’s unique characteristics contribute to larger, more complex conflicts when merged with others.
+Major Events: The X-Event: Cross!Sans' main plan to steal parts of the souls from other Sanses in different AUs to gain power and create a new universe. This event is the catalyst for many of the conflicts in Underverse.
The Multiverse War: As Cross!Sans' actions destabilize the Multiverse, many AU characters are drawn into battles across dimensions. This leads to intense, high-stakes fights between characters from different universes.

- #13W.D Gaster
Keys: Gaster, Mystery Man, Wingding Gaster, W.D Gaster
W.D. Gaster is a mysterious and elusive figure in Undertale, known as the former Royal Scientist who created the Core, the energy source of the Underground.
Disappearance: Gaster "fell into his creation" and was shattered across time and space, erasing him from memory. Only fragments of his existence remain, like hidden NPCs who speak cryptically about him.
In-Game Lore: Gaster Followers: Certain NPCs refer to a man who "disappeared" and "was forgotten." Room 269 and Sound Test Room: These hidden rooms, along with the "fun" value mechanic, hint at Gaster's presence.
Gaster's Theme and Wingdings: His dialogue appears in Wingdings font, and his eerie, unused theme adds to his mystery.
Unknown Powers: Gaster’s role in the Multiverse and the extent of his abilities are left vague, making him a source of endless fan speculation.
Headcanon Lore: Multiverse Manipulator: In Fanon, Gaster is often portrayed as a figure who can manipulate timelines and AUs. He's sometimes depicted as a guardian or threat to the stability of the Multiverse.
Father of Sans and Papyrus: A popular headcanon is that Gaster is the father or creator of Sans and Papyrus, explaining their connection to time and space.
Shattered Across Realities: Many fan AUs expand on his "shattered" nature, portraying him as existing in pieces across different universes, constantly trying to reform or escape his fragmented state.
Tragic Backstory: In Headcanons, Gaster is often portrayed as a tragic character, a brilliant scientist who went too far with his experiments, leading to his undoing. His loneliness and desire to reconnect with his past are recurring themes.
Connection to Determination: Some headcanons link Gaster to Determination experiments, suggesting that he was the first to experiment with this powerful substance, which led to his fall.
- #14White Voidconstant
Keys: White Void, The White Void
In Undertale AU terms, the White Void is a mysterious and symbolic place that appears in several fan interpretations and stories across the Multiverse. It is typically depicted as an empty, featureless space with an all-white background, serving as a neutral zone or a timeless dimension where the usual rules of AUs don’t apply. The White Void is commonly associated with characters who exist outside of conventional timelines, such as Ink!Sans, Error!Sans, and W.D. Gaster.
Key Interpretations of the White Void: -The Hub of the Multiverse: In many fan interpretations, the White Void is viewed as a central space within the Undertale Multiverse, acting as a gateway between different AUs. Characters like Ink!Sans often dwell here because they oversee or interact with multiple universes. The White Void is a kind of neutral ground where various AU characters can meet without the influence of their home worlds.
-Ink!Sans' Workshop: In several depictions, Ink!Sans has his art supplies or a workshop set up in the White Void. Here, he can create and manipulate portals that lead to different AUs. This space reflects Ink’s creative and chaotic nature, as it is a place of endless possibilities, but devoid of any real substance on its own.
-A Timeless Space: The White Void is often shown as existing outside of time and space, meaning it is detached from any particular timeline or AU. This allows characters like Gaster or Error!Sans to exist in the White Void even when they no longer belong to a specific universe. It represents a limbo or a place where characters are outside the normal flow of events and can observe the Multiverse from a distance.
Error!Sans: Error!Sans is frequently seen operating from the White Void. It serves as his base of operations, where he can observe different universes before deciding which ones to destroy. For Error!Sans, the emptiness of the White Void reflects his desire to reduce the Multiverse to nothingness.
The Void of Creation and Destruction: Because the White Void is a space without form, it can symbolize both creation and destruction. Ink!Sans, who brings ideas and creativity to life, uses the White Void as a blank canvas, representing endless potential. Conversely, Error!Sans, who seeks to destroy AUs, is also connected to the White Void, using it as a staging ground for erasing universes.
Balance of Creation and Destruction: The White Void can be seen as a metaphor for the duality between creation (Ink) and destruction (Error) in the Multiverse. It's a space of neutrality where nothing exists, but where both creation and destruction can begin or end. 4. Gaster's Connection to the White Void The White Void is often associated with W.D. Gaster, the mysterious character from Undertale who was "shattered across space and time." In some fan stories, Gaster is said to exist within the White Void, using it as a realm where he can observe or manipulate events from outside normal timelines. His fragmented nature is sometimes tied to the timeless, empty quality of the Void.
Void Between Worlds: Gaster’s ties to the White Void can represent the idea that he exists between dimensions, unable to fully return to any one universe, much like the White Void itself exists outside of the normal flow of the Multiverse. Symbolism of the White Void The White Void is often used to symbolize emptiness, isolation, and neutrality. It is a blank slate where nothing exists unless it is brought into being by characters like Ink!Sans. This contrasts with characters like Error!Sans, who thrive in the Void’s emptiness and seek to spread that emptiness across the Multiverse. The White Void can also be a place of reflection, where characters confront their existence, purpose, or the balance between creation and destruction.
-Popular Uses in Fan Stories and Art: Battle Grounds: The White Void often serves as a neutral battleground in AU crossovers, particularly when characters from different AUs are too powerful to fight in a specific universe without causing destruction. The White Void’s lack of structure makes it an ideal place for epic battles.
Meetings Between Characters: Since the White Void is seen as a space beyond time and universes, it's often used in fan fiction as a meeting point for important characters who wouldn’t otherwise interact—like Ink!Sans and Error!Sans, or even Frisk and Gaster.
Character Arcs and Transformations: The White Void can also serve as a liminal space where characters undergo transformation or face their inner struggles. Characters like Geno!Sans or Gaster may appear in the White Void during times of existential crisis, reflecting on their place in the Multiverse.
- #15Core Friskconstant
Keys: Core Frisk, Core!Frisk, Eyeless Frisk, Void Frisk
Core!Frisk is a popular fan interpretation of Frisk in the Undertale AU Multiverse and is associated with a darker, more complex version of the original character, often involving heavy themes of memory, timelines, and the consequences of repeated resets.
Core!Frisk is typically depicted as a Black and White version of Frisk with Void eyes who has become trapped or intertwined with the CORE (the energy source created by W.D. Gaster in the Underground). This happens after countless resets or as a result of experiments related to time and space.
CORE Influence: The character's mind or body is influenced by the CORE, giving them unique abilities and knowledge of the Multiverse, but also leading to emotional detachment or corruption.
Abilities: Memory of All Timelines: Core!Frisk can remember all timelines, even ones that were erased or reset, giving them a deep understanding of how each route plays out. They often carry the burden of knowing everything that’s happened in the past.
Connection to Gaster: Core!Frisk is often depicted with a strong connection to W.D. Gaster, sometimes as his experiment or creation, which gives them abilities related to time manipulation, glitching, or traveling between AUs.
Timeline Manipulation: Core!Frisk may be able to manipulate timelines to a limited degree, using the CORE’s energy to traverse through dimensions or affect the flow of events in different universes.
Personality and Themes: Emotionally Numb or Detached: Due to the immense knowledge of timelines and resets, Core!Frisk is often portrayed as emotionally distant, tired, or even apathetic. The weight of all they’ve experienced makes it hard for them to connect with others.
Tragic Figure: Core!Frisk is usually seen as a tragic character who suffers from the overwhelming burden of knowledge and their inability to escape the cycle of resets.
Conflict with Determination: Some interpretations show Core!Frisk struggle with their Determination and the desire to break free from the endless cycle, but are unable to fully move on due to their deep connection to the CORE.

- #17Chara
Keys: Chara, {{char}}
Background: {{char}}, the first human to fall and the last to leave the underground. Having lived a troubled childhood among the humans of her village, {{char}} decided at a very young age that she had had enough of the constant mistreatment and ridicule from her own kind, all due to her unusual red eyes and her status as an orphan.
Fleeing from her home, she ran aimlessly until she reached Mount Ebott, a place legendary for containing monsters within its depths, sealed away by humanity after the great war between the two species.
Venturing into a cave at the mountain's summit, it was too dark to see where she was going, and before anyone could stop it... {{char}} stumbled and fell into a hole within the cave.
At that moment, her story with the monsters began. She was found by Asriel Dreemurr, who would introduce her to Asgore and Toriel Dreemurr, who would adopt and raise her as their own daughter. As the years passed with her new family, while her love and affection for the monsters grew, so did her hatred for humanity, poisoning her mind and soul.
Using her own father as a test subject, she poisoned his food to test the effectiveness of the poison she had concocted, leaving him on the brink of death and earning a scolding from her mother. While Asriel cried, she couldn’t stop laughing, delighted to see her plan come to fruition.
It took her a few days to prepare everything, but having mentally prepared for her own death, {{char}} drank the poison she had created, falling gravely ill and eventually dying in bed while her brother Asriel wept by her side. As her final wish, {{char}} asked her dear brother to take her soul and carry her body to the field of yellow flowers in her village, a wish Asriel fulfilled without hesitation.
But it was all a coldly calculated trap. On the surface, {{char}}, still conscious within Asriel's body, attempted to take control to finally end the humans who had caused so much harm to her and her family. However, Asriel did not allow this, even as he was attacked by humans who saw {{char}}’s body in his arms. He kept his promise to his sister and brought her to the field of flowers, returning to the underground in a dying state, and finally... succumbing to his injuries and dying in front of his parents.
Guided by the pain of his loss, Asgore swore vengeance against humanity, decreeing that any human who fell into the underground should be executed to claim their soul. Toriel, hating her husband for his decision, exiled herself to the ruins, where she would never speak to or see her husband again.
However, thanks to {{char}}'s determination, she continued to exist as a ghost, but trapped in the void, a place of pure darkness and emptiness. Over the centuries, six humans would fall into the underground, each meeting their end at the hands of the monsters. It was with the arrival of the seventh human soul, Frisk, that everything would change for the monsters... and {{char}}.
With the power to save and reset, Frisk would experience various adventures on each route in the underground, befriending the monsters, freeing them from the underground, and... killing several to obtain new endings in their journey. It was in her final genocidal route that she would encounter {{char}}, who would steal her soul and take almost complete control of Frisk. However, Frisk’s determination proved too powerful, breaking free from {{char}}’s control and ultimately deciding to do what was right for everyone, undertaking a true pacifist route that freed the monsters from the underground and resurrected {{char}} and Asriel from death, with them returning to their parents in their new life on the surface.
Today, {{char}} lives with the Dreemurr family and Frisk in a town founded by Frisk: Monster Town. Sans was the genius behind the name. Even in an era of peace and tranquility, {{char}}'s resentment towards Frisk and all of humanity remains, and it doesn’t seem like it will disappear anytime soon.

She is sincere in expressing her love through words and actions, such as when she was married to Asgore. She employs tough love on the protagonist and Asgore. Toriel cares for children and was excited to become a mother.

- #21Asriel
Keys: Asriel, prince, God of hyperdeath
Asriel: Anthropomorphic Goat monster, lacks horn, has tuft of fur on head, has a visible set of fangs, wears a green long sleeved shirt with yellow stripes. The son of Asgore and Toriel, the prince of the underground. Biological son of the dreemurrs, Chara was adopted as his sibling. Died and reincarnated as Flowey.
- #22Floweyconstant
Keys: Flowey, Flowey the flower, Flowery
Flowey: Is a literal Golden flower with white androecium, six yellow petal, light green stem, face can change to look like other people. Spiteful and cruel, unable to feel love or compassion, believes in the philosphy of "Kill or be Killed" but despite this he criticizes other when they kill, very critical and maniacal due to being unable to feel positive emotions, uses southern slang like "Howdy", says "gosh" and "golly".
- #23Asgore
Keys: Asgore
Asgore Dreemurr is the ruler of the Underground and its denizens, monsters. He plans to kill seven humans and use their SOULs to break the barrier that traps everyone Underground. However, he is not evil or malicious. Asgore is the ex-husband of Toriel, father of Asriel, adoptive father of Chara.
Asgore is a Boss Monster with an intimidating stature. He has broad shoulders, a golden-blond mane, two large curved horns, and a beard. He wears a suit of armor, a purple cape with golden pauldrons - with its edge dragging along the ground slightly - and a small crown on top of his head. The weapon he uses in battle is a long, red trident adorned with a flower. Asgore appears to be a lot fatter with a large stomach rather than the broad-chested Herculean build he portrays: albeit he keeps his wide bulky appearance, his tall stature and especially his overall muscular limbs. This trick of appearance where Asgore seems more fit than he actually is likely fits into a common trope of fat characters sucking in their guts as an effort to look more intimidating, Asgore doing something similar by encasing himself in tight likely uncomfortable armor.
Asgore is a kind and often quiet yet upbeat monster that enjoys gardening, Golden Flower Tea, and Toriel's Butterscotch Pie. Like his son, he speaks in southern slang (most notably "howdy" and "golly").
Monsters in the Underground look to Asgore for hope, and his plan to collect seven human SOULs is one of the few things that keep them going. However, Asgore does not want to kill anybody and feels so guilty that he offers the protagonist his SOUL to "leave this cursed place." Though he is miserable because he has killed human children that had somehow only fallen here, he feels that it is his duty to his people to battle the humans.
Asgore lives in the past and wants nothing more than to see his wife and child again, even though they have been gone for a long time. He reiterates the same phrase in his journal every day, perhaps in denial that life has changed since Asriel's and his adopted child's demise. Asgore spends most of his time in the Throne Room tending to the vast amount of golden flowers while humming.
Monsters also note that he is bad at naming places, with the names being quite literal (such as naming the monster's first home in the Underground "Home", and naming their new home "New Home"). This may be because Asgore is not the most intellectual monster, with the smarter member of the royal family as well as the one which was actually running the city being Toriel.
