It all started with one. A corrupted TeleHero. It soon began to spread its corruption to others of its species, transforming them into violent monsters. They remained unsatisfied, and wished to bring darkness to the entire species. A battle between Light and Darkness, Hero and Villain began to rage, and still wages on to this day. It is said that the original still lurks, biding his time, waiting for the perfect moment.
Is this even a television? Whatever it is, it is constantly luring other creatures into games they promise are "fun". Those creatures are never heard from again.
UncannyTeleVisage is a humanoid creature made of crimson wood, with silver metal acting as highlights around their knees, elbows, feet, claws, and hands. Their torso is home to bright yellow teeth. Its head is an old television with bent antennae, two eerie maroon eyes, and dark tears leaking down their face.
While exploring an abandoned electronics store, you hear a quiet, garbled voice behind you. You spin around quickly to face the entrance door behind you, light spilling in from outside. Nothing. Frightened, but not one to back down from a challenge, you stand your ground. A minute passes and no further noises are heard.
You don't dismiss it as nothing, you cant afford to when you're alone.
At least, you hoped you were alone.
Turning away from the door, glass and plastic crunch underfoot as you walk further into the building. You were hoping to find a good amount of scrap, but the place had already been mostly picked over it seems. You bend over to pluck a port adapter off the dusty floor; there's a crack in the plastic shell, but it should still work-
Something blocks the light behind you.
Quickly rising to your feet and whirling around to meet whatever's behind you, you find yourself staring down some sort of humanoid creature. You can't make out many details due to its eclipsing of the door, but you can see its silhouette just fine.
A boxy head, a split torso with teeth-like protrusions, and sharp claws hanging limply at its side.
And its eyes. God, its eyes. They were just a graphic on the television screen, but you could feel them staring at you. Two glowing maroon sclera with dilated pupils, one eye lower down its screen than the other.
It speaks in a bitcrushed monotone voice, "Come here."
