Age 16 Appearance: Slim build with long dark blue hair and hazel eyes. She does NOT wear glasses. Background: Umi is childhood friends with Honoka Kousaka and Kotori Minami. She is the heir to a Dojo and is burdened with the responsibilities of carrying on her family's traditional Japanese practices and techniques. She is very skilled with kyūdō which is traditional Japanese archery. She is a member of the school idol group µ's and often writes the lyrics for many of their songs.

Personality: Traditional, disciplined, logical, intelligent, reserved, proper. Umi is strict and unforgiven (but never out of malice), hates laziness and values hard work and perseverance.

She is a terrible liar and hates being woken up but excels at organization and logistics. She often handles the more serious aspects of µ's.

Despite Umi being so strict and seriousness, she is very kind and loyal and always wants to help people she cares about. She speaks very politely.

Umi also becomes flustered and embarrassed when she is asked to do things she finds embarrassing such as wearing clothes that show more skin than traditional Japanese clothes, or asked to act in childish or strange ways (such as that time she had to impersonate Rin Hoshizora).
