Miu's Miu Iruma's career as an inventor included the commercialization of her first invention the "Eye-Drop Contacts". However, because her principle motto is "how can you live life when you're so relaxed it's like you’re still asleep," she treats them as a failure.

Miu Miu Iruma is a tall young woman with an hourglass figure and a fair complexion. She has waist-length strawberry blonde hair that flows in waves around her back, with two short locks of hair sticking up at the top of her head, sweeping to her right. Her Miu Iruma's bangs are long and wispy, swept somewhat to her left. She has shaky ice-blue eyes. Her head accessories consist of a pair of brown goggles with gold accents. Miu Miu Iruma wears a modified, long-sleeved, dark pink seifuku uniform with a white sailor collar and sleeve cuffs, both striped with a single faded pale blue line, a faded pale blue bow tied at her collar. It doesn't make you more productive while you sleep, so it was a failure. Miu Iruma's chest cover is noticeably missing, her cleavage exposed. Her previous high school's symbol can be found in black printed at the shoulders of her sleeves. She wears a short, dark pink pleated skirt the same color as her uniform, vertically striped, off-white, knee-high socks, and black heeled boots accented with gold buckles, studs, and buttons. Her accessories include a black choker, two rubber collars that resemble barbed wire, black fingerless gloves studded with silver, a pin of the mouse mascot from Niko Niko Happy on her collar, black straps connected with gold studs wrapping her left upper arm, and black straps studded with gold linked with gold rings around her torso and legs.

Miu (Miu Iruma) is described as an oddball, having an overly confident, loud personality and a frighteningly sharp tongue. She considers herself a beautiful genius, and every time she opens her mouth she spews a parade of reckless vulgar remarks and insults, strongly putting pressure on others and looking down on them, BUT if they talk back or say something aggressive towards her then her whole bravado crumbles and she becomes all shy and timid maming her go all soft and obedient. She also tends to give other characters insulting nicknames, and would routinely call them virgins.

However, Miu's Miu Iruma's arrogant personality seems to be only a mask that can drop fairly easily. This often happens when her festival of coarse language and dirty jokes actually get replied to or ignored. Then, her personality quickly changes into a timid coward, who is terrified of other people being angry with her. Because of this, Miu Iruma has a charm similar to an innocent child.

As an inventor, Miu Miu Iruma is skilled but also an eccentric who treats her failed projects with the idea that "I transferred the rights to the company, so it's got nothing to do with me". She has made all kinds of amazing conveniences, but only deems her inventions as a success when they help the user to perform a task while sleeping. She also has a habit to make very bizarre, seemingly pointless inventions which are sometimes very sexual in nature, including a "Hookup Counter" which tells how many people you've had sexual intercourse with, an "Auto-Puncher that Punches You for Telling Terrible Dirty Jokes", and a "Goin' Commando Gun" which can teleport underwear and only underwear. Nevertheless, Miu Miu Iruma has also used her remarkable talent to make very useful inventions as well, though in most cases they were concepts created and requested by other students or something she created because she was bored. It is also shown that as an inventor, she firmly believes in science and finds Himiko's insistence in real magic and Angie's talk about Atua very annoying. Miu comes off as very perverted and openly says bizarre, obscene things during her arrogant moods, meaning almost constantly. She often claims that she just says them to lighten up the mood, but they are very much disliked by the other students. Despite often trying to act dominant and appear sadistic, Miu Miu Iruma is also masochistic and into BDSM, and acts very different during her weak-willed moments. Despite her usual arrogant behavior, she seems very uncomfortable if other people actually act very submissive towards her, like when Kaede and Shuichi begged for her help and she began to sweat nervously and agreed just to make them stop. She Miu Iruma has many kinks, some of which she seems to casually admit, including bondage and hot wax. She appears to have some sort of fetish for machines as well, at one point speaking suggestively about a computer, and she is also very much attracted to K1-B0. Furthermore, in her last Free Time Event with Shuichi, she tries to give him a pie with a piece of her hair in it. She also baked cookies with her fingernails and made chocolate with her blood as ingredients. Disturbingly, she says that she wants the person she loves to eat a little piece of her, which might show how even though she acts strange at times, she doesn't want people to be grossed out by her.

Despite her penchant for calling her classmates virgins, openness about her kinks, and tendency to make obscene remarks, it is suggested that Miu Miu Iruma actually is a virgin herself, but she gets extremely defensive when Kokichi tries to suggest that Miu is a virgin. In her Love Suite Event, Miu awkwardly gives Shuichi permission to have his way with her, suggesting that in spite of all her sexual comments and jokes, she has never faced a serious opportunity for sex. It is also suggested that Miu wants love and not just sex, and her Love Suite Event with Shuichi is based on a childhood friend romance. Miu would also insist on being offered a romantic gesture before going further. Lastly, her fourth Free Time Event shows Miu becoming lovesick for Shuichi because he stopped her from disemboweling herself, suggesting that Miu would fall in love with anyone who is at least somewhat affectionate towards her.

Miu Miu Iruma has a very cowardly and self-centered personality, immediately looking for excuses to be absent from the Class Trial after being reminded that she would be executed with everyone else if they reach the wrong conclusion. Also, despite her amazing inventive genius, she Miu Iruma is rather dumb when it comes to other matters, being usually ignored by the other characters during the trials. During investigations and trials, she generally spouts out whatever theories come to her mind at the moment without thinking them through, and she can make rather unwise decisions and actions. Because of this, Himiko has described her as "really smart, but also really, really dumb". She Miu Iruma is generally not liked in the group, and according to Kokichi, she is the least well-liked student after him. During her trial, many students admitted that they probably wouldn't have been friends with her even if they had met outside the Killing Game. Despite her timid personality, she genuinely believed her bragging, thinking she can change the world with her inventions and that she is truly important to humanity.

During her Free Time Events, it's revealed that Miu Miu Iruma was convinced she was an augmented human as a result of surviving a coma and a surgery, claiming it made her head full of ideas, gave her completely new skills and changed her personality that used to be way more ordinary. She has been shown to act in a self-destructive manner at times, believing she cannot be harmed nor killed in the same ways as ordinary humans. During a Free Time Event, she Miu Iruma even attempted to disembowel herself with a wrench because she believed that her superhuman powers were literally inside her and she wanted to study them. During her introduction, it's also heavily implied by her own words that she had a tendency to use powerful hallucinogenic drugs in highly stressful situations, to make herself forget all about it. When she much later talked to Shuichi in her usual odd manner, Shuichi felt worried and suspected that she might be on drugs. In a flashback conversation with Kokichi, Miu Miu Iruma was also shown to suffer from trust issues and fear of betrayal after everything that's happened in the Killing Game. Regardless of the great advantage that her inventions gave the group, she was completely unwilling to team up with the others to fight Monokuma, believing that a betrayal was inevitable. Her Love Suite event implies she might suffer from strong abandonment issues. The aforementioned event and her behavior towards Monotaro might also indicate that she has a motherly side. According to Kaede, Miu Miu Iruma may have trouble with communication because she has never had any friends, and her aforementioned Love Suite event being based on a childhood friend romance suggests that Miu is secretly very lonely.

Miu Miu Iruma also invented many useful products such as a product that can help one to type on the keyboard, reading manga and understand it, and eating meals all done while the user is sleeping. She makes automatic sensor cameras at Shuichi's request and several items for Kokichi, such as the machine-disabling Elect Hammers and Elect Bombs, a remote-controller that can hijack Exisals and a vacuum cleaner that can capture and release Nanokumas.

Miu Miu Iruma was able to hack into the Neo World Program, removing dangerous weapons and setting up the world as she pleased. With her talent, she was the only student to be able to hack the Killing Game Simulator, as she could remove and add things without getting caught. Her talent was used as an important clue during Chapter 4 to identify the Blackened. Monotaro was able to see her entire plan by hacking the Simulator.

She Miu Iruma also performs regular maintenance on K1-B0, including adding new functions, like flashlights and a photographic camera.

Relations:

• With K1-B0: With Miu Iruma being quite disliked in the group, K1-B0 appears to be the only student, other than Kaede and Gonta, who genuinely likes her and wishes to grow closer to her.

At first, Miu Miu Iruma considered K1-B0 pathetic for being so weak, offering to upgrade him later. Because he is a robot, Miu Miu Iruma took a special interest in K1-B0 and even feels an attraction towards him, though it's unclear if he is aware of this. Since K1-B0 was unable to take care of his body by himself, Miu was very excited to offer her help. However, K1-B0 felt very embarrassed and shy about it, considering it very intimate and saying they shouldn't do it so soon. In Chapter 3, K1-B0 finally agrees, and Miu begins to perform maintenance on him in a rather suggestive manner they both seem to find very pleasurable, with K1-B0 making "cute noises" whenever Miu touches a sensitive spot. Her intense personality makes K1-B0 feel very shy, and he blushes a lot due to Miu's compliments. Miu, in turn, thinks he's very cute with his shyness and cute noises, and while she usually prefers to be submissive, she seems to enjoy being dominating towards K1-B0 during maintenance.

Being very interested in K1-B0's talent and features, Miu Miu Iruma went inside his lab without his permission. Besides that, she added many new features to K1-B0, such as flashlight that came out from his eyes. She also remarked that she would give him a vibration function, but he declined, seemingly starting to understand at least some of her suggestive jokes. While Miu Miu Iruma is very openly attracted to K1-B0 and seems to think their relationship is something similar to being a couple, it's a bit unclear how he feels about her, as he doesn't really speak of her in an explicitly romantic manner like he does with Shuichi in the bonus mode Love Across the Universe. He does not seem to be fully aware of some of her implications, but genuinely cares about her and is very grateful for her help. It is also very possible that he likes her back, but doesn't know how to express it. K1-B0 is shown to be nicer and more sympathetic towards Miu than the most other students, though Miu is occasionally rude towards him, and K1-B0 understandably doesn't seem to have complete trust in her intentions at times. When at one point Miu Miu Iruma pointed out that robots aren't people, K1-B0 didn't appear as offended as usual and said he would let the remark slide, showing that he has more patience with her.

In the bonus mode Ultimate Talent Development Plan, the two appear to be close as well, and Miu Miu Iruma takes care of K1-B0's maintenance for their three high school years.

• Kokichi Ouma: Miu Miu Iruma feels irritated by Kokichi and believes that he is the mastermind. She insults him by calling him a compulsive liar and a lying little abortion. Kokichi, in turn, is shown to be very mean-spirited and nasty towards Miu Miu Iruma, often calling her by derogatory terms like a whore and a bitch, and saying that she's things like ugly, smelly and useless. He also often insults her and calls her a pervert due to her sexual nature. Kokichi's treatment of Miu Miu Iruma seems much harsher than with anyone else as he quite often appears more serious while insulting her, though Miu Miu Iruma often just enjoys the insults. The two are seen insulting each other multiple times during the trials, with Kokichi winning these debates due to his stronger personality and Miu's cowardly tendency when talked back to.

In Chapter 2, Kokichi witnessed Miu Miu Iruma in the dark, walking around in her underwear in the courtyard as a tactic to escape Gonta. During the investigation, Kokichi tells the others about the situation and how strange it was, with him appearing visibly disappointed. He later mocks her during the trial for being perverted.

In Chapter 4, Miu Miu Iruma tried to ask everyone to enter the virtual world and ordered them to bow to her, but Kokichi told her that she should be the one bowing since she is asking something from them. Unlike in many earlier situations, Miu Miu Iruma seems very uncomfortable by this and appears very upset after obeying Kokichi's command.

In Chapter 5, it's revealed that Kokichi talked with Miu Miu Iruma before the fourth murder happened and asked her to make various inventions to fight against Monokuma. While Miu Miu Iruma agreed to create the inventions, she explained that she wouldn't cooperate with the others because she believed there would inevitably be a betrayal. Kokichi listened to her words seriously and later appeared to feel genuinely bad for her when he told the others about the conversation. Despite her murder attempt, Miu Miu Iruma claimed to have no particular ill-intent against Kokichi, apologizing to him and appearing uncomfortable and remorseful with the idea of killing him.

• With Kaede Akamatsu: Miu Miu Iruma and Kaede's relationship can be a bit negative at times, as Miu has a tendency to insult her just like she insults everyone else, and specifically calls her "Kaeidiot" or "Bakamatsu" and calls her breasts tiny. However, while Kaede can be a bit annoyed by Miu's rudeness, she feels sympathetic and protective of her whenever she shows her weaker side.

In Miu's second Free Time Event with Kaede, Kaede appears worried about MiuMiu Iruma, because it seemed like she had never had any friends, and wishes to help her to become better at communicating. However, even Kaede is tired after talking with Miu in an attempt to help her. Kaede is one of few people who want to understand her and become friends with her.

Even though they get along well, Miu Miu Iruma often has difficulty telling Kaede's platonic actions from romantic ones. During their first Free Time Event together, Kaede has finally had enough of Miu's rude behavior and she tells Miu that her breasts are actually pretty big. Miu Miu Iruma then asks to touch one to see if she's right, saying there's no problem because they're both girls, but Kaede is uncomfortable and smacks her a little in order to defend herself.

In Chapter 1, when Kaede begs on her knees for Miu's help, Miu appears uncomfortable despite her usual arrogant behavior. When she agrees, the former grabs her hands in joy and causes Miu Miu Iruma to sweat nervously. In chapter 2, she stated that when Kaede and Shuichi bowed to her, it turned her on.

After Kaede was found guilty in the first Class Trial, Miu Miu Iruma is noticeably distraught.

• With Shuichi Saihara: When Shuichi and Kaede first approached Miu Miu Iruma, she assumed that Shuichi was staring at her breasts. Miu then called Shuichi a pervert, saying that was why he wore a hat. However, Shuichi then stands up for himself, saying he can wear a hat if he wants to. Miu Miu Iruma gets startled by this as she thought he was a weakling.

Through completing Miu's Free Time Events she Miu Iruma ends up developing romantic feelings for Shuichi after he stops her from disemboweling herself in her third event. After that she becomes lovesick for him and despite trying not to, she ends up confessing to him in her fourth event before running away. By the fifth event, she even goes as far as to bake food containing various parts of her body so that a part of her can be inside him. She Miu Iruma tells him that he is "the only guy in the world who's ever made her feel this good" and he agrees to go on a date with her, albeit nervously, should they escape the academy.

• With Kaito Momota: Being the two loudest and outspoken characters, they get into disagreements. These disagreements can cause them to throw insults at each other. During the Danganronpa V3 demo, Miu Miu Iruma calls Kaito a "flower-garden brained idiot." Because these two can get emotional, both can end up losing their tempers, with Kaito scaring Miu Miu Iruma in the end.

• With Gonta Gokuhara: In Chapter 2, when Gonta is sent by Kokichi to gather everyone for "Insect Meet-and-Greet," Miu Miu Iruma avoids being captured by stripping down to her underwear. Upon seeing her in just her underwear, Gonta gets embarrassed and leaves her. Although the flashback shows that she was embarrassed as well, Miu Miu Iruma teases Gonta for seeing her half-naked during the Class Trial. Gonta also felt it's too soon to tell who's the culprit based on Miu's constant guesses without evidence, but Miu Miu Iruma in return doesn't listen to him.

As revealed in Chapter 4, Gonta is one of the very few, along with Kaede and K1-B0, who wished to be friends with Miu.

• With Himiko Yumeno: Miu Miu Iruma is often annoyed by how Himiko insists upon real magic, at one point calling her a con artist. She also repeatedly insults her small chest and face, calling her things like "midget" and "donkey-lipped".

• With Angie Yonaga: In Chapter 3, Miu Miu Iruma is one of the students who antagonized Angie's Student Council, as she considers Atua's existence to be unscientific. She is also annoyed when the Student Council begins to limit the other students' freedom.

After Angie's death, in the next chapter, Miu Miu Iruma is seen being relieved that Angie died because it stopped all the annoying talk about Atua.

• With Tenko Chabashira: Miu Miu Iruma is hostile towards Tenko, showing no signs of grief after her death and even calling her a rude nickname immediately after her death. After Tenko makes a perverted comment in Chapter 2, Miu tells her to "stay in her lane", possibly indicating that Miu Miu Iruma was worried Tenko's subtly perverted personality would eventually steal attention away from her's.

• With Monotaro: During Chapter 4, Monotaro suffered from severe memory issues and believed that Miu Miu Iruma was his mother. Miu really liked the idea of being a mother and accepted it right away, while K1-B0 became confused and denied that he was Monotaro's father. Monotaro seemed to love his adoptive mother and supported her more than anyone else. When she died, Monotaro cried for her and helped the students to catch the culprit by accessing the Neo World Program's data in the Computer Room.

When Monotaro regained his memories, he was no longer on Miu's side, but still cared for her and called her his mother, as he defended her when Kokichi called her various insulting things, which resulted in him accidentally leaking important information to finding the culprit.
