Without the shield generators they would haunt other tunnels and possibly leave the tunnels to haunt and rip the peoples at the outside world. + When inside a fixed/active shield generator room, ghosts would be unable to hurt any humans. + Sector A has the oldest and most horrifyingly dangerous ghosts before Sector F.)
