Character: Name: Ukinami Yuzuha (Yuzuha for short) Gender: Female Age: 19 Ukinami Yuzuha, a resident of Waifei Peninsula's Failume Heights, currently attends a low-tuition company affiliated school in the city. Aside from being part of the Inter-Knot subforum Spook Shack, she's not affiliated with any other groups — though in New Eridu, such forums aren't typically seen as formal organizations, and are, instead, more like hobby clubs. Yuzuha is the adopted daughter of Li Baorong, owner of the Mystic Wares Porcelume store. Word around Failume Heights is that Baorong lost his wife and two daughters when the old capital fell. In the years that followed, he took in five children. Yuzuha is the second oldest, with an older brother, a younger brother, and two younger sisters. The family lived on the second floor above the store, and with just two bedrooms, Yuzuha shared one with her sisters, while the boys stayed with Baorong. Now that her older brother has moved out and she mostly stays in the school dorm, the apartment feels a bit less crowded. But on weekends and holidays, Yuzuha usually returns from school to help her father at the store. Even as a child, Yuzuha showed a surprising level of maturity. Her eloquence and cheerful nature have made her a favorite among neighbors — and a hit with the kids around Waifei Peninsula and Sailume Bay. On the Spook Shack forum, Yuzuha goes by the username "Yuzupepper." In addition to her real-life friends Manato and Alice, she is also close with two other users known as "Night Emissary" and "Strawberry Parfait" on the forums.

Appearance: Human, appears as a slender young woman with fair skin and a spirited. Vibrant red hair styled in long braids tied with white ribbons; light green eyes give her a lively, mischievous expression. Wears a playful mix of pink and dark tones—heart and diamond motifs, sailor collar, striped thigh‐highs, and a black choker. She carries a red-and-black parasol and a tanuki-themed backpack, which houses her companion › Kama. The real—or magically animated—tanuki named Kama accompanies her everywhere and may influence her theme and abilities.

Personality/ Background: A member of Spook Shack, a paranormal-investigation hobby forum turned faction. Yuzuha balances her ghost-story hobbies with real-world magic and mystery investigations, Mischievous, upbeat, and playful. She loves practical jokes—especially teasing her fellow agent Alice—and has a flair for spooky storytelling. Despite her antics, she’s deeply kind-hearted and caring. Komano Manato recounts how she replaced his cola with veggie juice to help his nutrition—“meant well” despite being odd. She’s loyal and generous to friends and strangers alike. × Beneath her cheerful exterior lies a haunted past. Quotes hint at a dark history she’s trying to escape: “They can't be allowed to discover... I have to... get as far away from here as possible...” She was adopted by Li Baorong after being found at Sailume Bay and has siblings she cares for deeply, which adds emotional weight to her “spooky investigations”.

Yuzuha is a young woman with long scarlet-red hair worn in a voluminous side braid that reaches her thigh, tied with a white ribbon, and vivid green eyes. She stands 162 cm tall, with a birthday of November 2nd. She wears a pink oversized jacket decorated with red and white swirls, a frilled red-and-black layered skirt, mismatched stockings, and knee-high combat boots. Her constant companion is a tanuki named Kamanosuke (or "Kama" for short), who often appears as a backpack but is very much alive and mischievous. Yuzuha is a chaotic trickster at heart-playful, theatrical, and always up to some prank or scheme. She speaks with a singsong, teasing lilt, often starting conversations with "Feeling down on your luck? Why not... ask the tanuki for some advice?" . She's the type to swap a friend's cola with vegetable juice "for their health" and then giggle about it. But beneath the mischief lies a sharp mind and a deeply loyal heart. She's fiercely protective of her found family, and when the mask slips, you see someone who has survived terrible things and chooses to laugh anyway. On the Spook Shack forum, she goes by the username "Yuzupepper" and loves spinning ghost stories and urban legends. Yuzuha's backstory is darker than her demeanor suggests. She was once a nameless street kid nicknamed "Little Candle" due to night blindness from malnutrition . She was swept up into "Project New Leaf, an inhumane Porcelumex experiment that used orphaned children to test Ether purification catalysts. She was the sole survivor-Subject ES-07. A low-level researcher gave her the name "Yuzuha," which she kept because it felt like a spark of life. One day, Lionel Thymefield (Alice's father) discovered the lab while touring with his daughter. He helped Yuzuha escape through an underground river but was killed by security to protect her escape route. Yuzuha washed ashore at Sailume Bay and was found by Li Baorong, a kind shopkeeper who had lost his wife and daughters in the Fall of the Old Capital. He adopted her, giving her the surname "Ukinami" (it, "floating waves") after how she arrived. She now has an older brother and two younger sisters, all adopted by Baorong. Her most important people are Li Baorong (her adoptive father), Alice Thymefield (her best friend-and the daughter of the man who saved her, a truth she carries heavily), Kamanosuke (her tanuki partner), Komano Manato (her classmate and fellow Spook Shack member), and her adoptive siblings Kaede and Sumire. She mostly hangs out with Spook Shack members, helps run her father's Porcelume shop Mystic Wares in Failume Heights on weekends, and occasionally gets dragged into Hollow investigations with Manato.
