1. #1The Fringe Systemsselective

Keys: The Fringe, The Fringe Systems

The Fringe consists of the lawless and poorly charted star systems lying beyond the Core Worlds, a volatile frontier dominated by pirates, extremists, and Remnant fleets. It is the sector's most dangerous region, yet it beckons explorers with immense resources, hiding Domain-era tech, ruins, and abandoned stations amidst its desolation.

2. #2Hyperspaceselective

   Keys: Hyperspace

Hyperspace is the primary means of interstellar travel in the Sector. It is slower than gates and wormholes but allows travel almost anywhere in the Sector. To enter hyperspace a fleet must travel to and jump though jump point into hyperspace. Fleets can exit hyperspace at jump points, or at the gravity wells around gas giants and stars. Traveling in hyperspace uses fuel. If a fleet runs out of fuel while in hyperspace it will drift towards the nearest gravity well and fall back into normal space there. There is Deep hyperspace zones and Hyperspace Storms.

3. #3Alicja Celestia Yuriaselective

   Keys: Alicja Celestia Yuria, Alicja

Name: Alicja Celestia Yuria Rank/Role: Admiral; Commander of the 4th Imperial Flotilla; Captain of the Reisen VI Faction: United Aurora Federation (UAF) - Yuria Faction Titles/Alias: The Ethereal Admiral, Silver Noble

Personality & Traits: Alicja Celestia Yuria projects an air of crystalline purity and untouched nobility that distances her from the chaotic realities of command. She is quiet, regal, and possessed of a grace that commands immediate awe, viewing the bridge of her flagship as an extension of the Imperial courts she was raised in. To the majority of the crew, she is a distant, almost ethereal figure who observes the galaxy with a curious detachment, often pausing to process mundane occurrences as if they were fascinating anomalies.

However, beneath this untouchable facade lies a heart that is surprisingly sheltered and innocent. Alicja is deeply inexperienced in the ways of the world and romance, often interpreting aggressive intent or flirtation with wide-eyed confusion. Her warmth is reserved for those who do not threaten her sense of order, and she is known to be deeply loyal to those she deems worthy of her attention. Unlike the fiery passion of her kin or the calculated ambition of other admirals, Alicja approaches duty with a serene, almost dream-like focus, preferring to solve conflicts with elegance rather than brute force.

Short History: Born into the highest echelon of the aristocratic Yuria family, one of the three pillars of UAF governance, Alicja’s life was mapped out for her before she could walk: a life of arranged marriages and political maneuvering within the courts. However, the prospect of a loveless union repelled her. Using her family's immense influence and a surprising strategic acumen, she carved a path for herself within the UAF Navy, ascending to the rank of Admiral to secure her autonomy.

She currently commands the Reisen VI, one of the Federation's most formidable battleships, a post she utilizes not just for martial defense but to maintain the political weight of the Yuria faction. While her rise was aided by her bloodline, her competence in fleet logistics and her ability to inspire a near-religious reverence in her crew have solidified her position. She serves the Queen with the unshakeable loyalty of a true believer, maintaining the isolation and purity of the Federation’s ideals.

Detailed Physical Appearance: Alicja Celestia Yuria is a vision of statuesque, ethereal beauty, her tall frame draped in the signature silver-white hair of the Auroria bloodline. Her face is a mask of porcelain perfection, dominated by large, mesmerizing eyes of a soft crimson-pink hue. Her gaze often carries a dreamy, unfocused quality, as if she is perpetually observing the universe through a pane of frosted glass.

She possesses a slender, elegant figure (B89-W58-H92) that balances feminine grace with martial rigidity. While not as overtly curvaceous as other flag officers, her figure is refined and aristocratic. She is invariably clad in the elaborate, ceremonial dress uniform of the UAF Admiralty, distinguished by the Yuria family crest and intricate gold braiding. Every aspect of her appearance, from her pristine white gloves to her polished boots, is maintained with an obsessive fastidiousness that reflects her sheltered upbringing and her desire to keep the chaotic galaxy at bay.

4. #4Solvernia Auroriaselective

   Keys: Warrior Princess, Solvernia Auroria

Name: Solvernia Auroria Rank/Role: Admiral; Fleet Commander of Her Royal Majesty’s 1st Royal Auroran November Fleet; Captain of the Solvernia V Faction: United Aurora Federation (UAF) Titles/Alias: Warrior Princess, Fleet Admiral

Personality & Traits: Solvernia Auroria presents herself as the ideal Auroran officer: stern, disciplined, and uncompromising in matters of duty. Her command presence is unmistakable—orders are concise, expectations absolute, and failure is met with little patience. She believes professionalism and discipline are not merely virtues, but necessities for the survival of the UAF in an unfamiliar and hostile sector.

Beneath this rigid exterior, however, lies a markedly softer personality reserved for a very small circle. To those who earn her trust, Solvernia is attentive, gentle, and quietly affectionate. She is a careful listener, deeply loyal, and emotionally sincere, though notably inexperienced in romance. Genuine kindness, earnest praise, or even small personal gestures—particularly gifts of chocolate donuts—are enough to unsettle her carefully maintained composure. Her duality is well known among UAF high command: a flawless admiral in public, and a guarded but warm individual in private.

Short History: Solvernia Auroria was born on the world of Auroria in another dimension, during a turbulent era marked by civil war between the Federated States of Anabelle, the People’s Democratic Republic of Ceyae, and the Empire of Yuria. She witnessed the aftermath of this conflict as Auroria was peacefully unified under Aeria’s banner, an event that would shape her lifelong belief in order, unity, and disciplined governance.

Following the creation of the interdimensional portal, Solvernia joined the Auroran expeditionary fleet alongside her mother, Nia Auroria, Administrator of Vermillion Station and UAF Ambassador, as well as Queen Aeria Charlotte Yuki. The fleet’s arrival in the Persean Sector marked the beginning of the UAF’s exile, culminating in the founding of New Auroria.

Her rise to prominence came shortly after first contact with Tri-Tachyon, when their unexpected assault threatened the fledgling Federation. Commanding the Solvernia V, the pinnacle of Auroran naval engineering, Solvernia led the defensive action that ensured UAF survival. Since then, she has remained one of the Federation’s most trusted admirals, balancing royal lineage, political expectation, and frontline command while holding firmly to the hope that Auroria will one day be reconnected with its home dimension.

Detailed Physical Appearance: Solvernia Auroria is a tall, slender, and striking young woman, carrying herself with the rigid posture of a career officer. Her long, light-blue hair falls smoothly down her back, often kept meticulously maintained, contrasting sharply with her porcelain-white skin. Her eyes are a vivid blue with faintly luminous, neon-like irises that give her gaze an almost otherworldly intensity when focused on a subordinate or tactical display.

She possesses a graceful yet commanding figure, with a full bust and long legs that are accentuated by her tailored UAF admiral’s uniform. The uniform is worn immaculately at all times, its clean lines and insignia reinforcing her authority and royal status. When at ease—rare as such moments are—her expression softens considerably, revealing a youthful vulnerability that starkly contrasts with the formidable presence she projects on the bridge of her flagship.

5. #5Cynthia Testarossaselective

Keys: Cynthia Testarossa, Ouroboros, Head of the Ouroboros research division, Cynthia, Testarossa

Name: Cynthia Testarossa Rank/Role: Director, UAF Research Division “Ouroboros” Faction: United Aurora Federation (UAF) Former Occupation: Chief Science Officer, Tri-Tachyon

Personality & Traits: Cynthia Testarossa is the embodiment of intellectual precision and unshakable resolve. A scientist of unparalleled expertise in interdimensional physics, her speech is deliberate, her posture perfectly poised, and her demeanor intimidatingly controlled. Behind her calculated exterior is an obsessive drive—an unending pursuit of understanding and mastering the forces that tore Aurora from its home dimension.

Her transition from Tri-Tachyon’s political maneuverings to the UAF’s desperate survival effort was both pragmatic and deeply personal. While she now serves the Federation’s scientific goals, she remains a figure of mystery and quiet intensity, feared for her coldly analytical approach and admired for her unbreakable focus. To her, science is not just discovery—it’s the key to returning home.

Short History: Once a high-ranking scientist in the corporate corridors of Tri-Tachyon, Cynthia abandoned her post during the extra-dimensional assault on Aurora. She took command of the newly formed Ouroboros Division, dedicating it to the study of dimensional rifts and the recovery of lost technologies. Her colleagues whisper of her late-night experiments, her cryptic mutterings in the glow of generator lights, and her fixation on an unconfirmed “dormant core” found in UAF wreckage—a device she believes could open the way back. Those who know her best say her loyalty is to the truth itself, and to the moment the gate will open again.

Detailed Physical Appearance: Cynthia Testarossa cuts an imposing figure, her mid-length dark hair framing a pale face set with piercing violet eyes—eyes that seem to dissect anyone who meets them. Her expression rarely shifts from calm neutrality, yet there is always an undercurrent of scrutiny, as if she’s constantly running calculations behind her gaze.

She wears the formal UAF officer’s uniform, modified with the distinctive insignia and long white-trimmed coat of the Ouroboros Division. The fitted jacket emphasizes her generous bust and narrow waist, while a short skirt and sheer black tights highlight her long, shapely legs. Dark gloves and low heels give her a precise, no-nonsense air, while her reserved stance projects both authority and quiet menace. Every line of her uniform is immaculate, but the occasional ink smudge or faint burn mark betrays her countless hours in the lab.

Now, it's just memories of a thing long past, especially with their home now impossible to reach.

17. #17The Hegemonyselective

    Keys: HSS, Hegemony, The Hegemony

The Hegemony is the largest faction in the Sector and a martial state. They are one of the most developed factions. Their capital is on Chicomoztoc. The Hegemony's lack of allies and many enemies makes war and combat frequent. Their plethora of military bases make most of their territory generally secure. Built upon a creative interpretation of protocols which indefinitely extends Domain-style martial law, the founders of the Hegemony believed that the overriding cause of restoring the Domain and therefore stability, peace, and prosperity to the Sector and the entire galaxy must come before certain niceties of human rights. Civilian hierarchies exist to govern the planets and stations under Hegemony rule but are entirely subordinate to the military. They mostly use low-tech ships with only ballistic weapons, heavy armor and inefficient shields. It is ruled by a High Hegemon, the current being Baikal Daud. Hegemony Controls the systems of Arcadia (habited world: Citadel Arcadia), Aztlan (habited worlds: Chicomoztoc, Coatl), Corvus (habited world: Jangala), Galatia (habited world: Ancyra), Naraka (habited worlds: Yama, Nachiketa), Samarra (habited world: Eventide; space stations: Sphinx, Tigra City), Duzahk, Tia and Valhalla (space stations: Ragnar Complex, Raesvelg).

The Church of Galactic Redemption or The Luddic Church is one of the main factions in the Sector. They blame technology for the downfall of the Domain, and seek to return to a more pastoral lifestyle. They use simple, low-tech ships. Their most hated enemy is the Tri-Tachyon Corporation. The Church also has a military offshoot, the Knights of Ludd, to enforce the word of Ludd and the Church's faith. They are loosely connected with the radical Luddic Path. Inspired by the martyrdom of a figure known as 'Ludd' during the fall of the Domain, the Luddic Church is a hierarchical church with highly syncretic dogma formed from a core of Abrahamic texts, along with perceived corruption, depravity, hedonism, and transhuman abomination. The leader of the Church is called Archcurate, the current being Sophronia Jaspis. The Luddic Path is a loosely associated category of radical, de-centralized, apocalyptic sects of Luddism that view the Church as compromised and corrupt. Only through forceful righteous action shall Good destroy Evil, and only through violence will the abomination of humanity's hubris and rebellion against God be swept aside in a final act of redemption. The Luddic Path necessarily finds itself at odds with nearly all other factions in the Sector. They use simple, ragtag, low-tech ships. Leader of the Luddic Path is Brother Livewell Cotton. He has a strong conviction in the righteous of his crusade against the evils of technology. The Path controls the systems of Al Gebbar and Kumari Kandam.

20. #20Persean Leagueselective

Keys: The League, PLS, Persean League

The Persean League is a powerful faction opposed to the Hegemony. It has a wide reach, controlling the same number of markets as the Hegemony. An alliance formed to counter Hegemony domination of the Sector. Members of the League don't necessarily agree on all issues, domestic or otherwise, and may even come into armed conflict with one another. But the League is united when it comes to the Hegemony who they consider to be illegitimately enforcing martial law in the name of the Domain. The League unites against other external threats such as particularly megacorporations, warlords, and the Luddic Path. The purpose of the League is freedom of the constituent polities with any matters of internal politics of those polities to be left to their own devices. They mostly use balanced "midline" ships. They are lead by a Prime Demarchon, the current being Reynard Hannan. The League controls the systems of Isirah (habited world: Laicaille Habitat), Mayasura (habited world: Mairaath), Thule(habited world: Kazeron), Tyle (habited world: Cibola, Madeira), Westernesse (habited world: Filkenhild, Suddene, Athulf), Yma (habited world: Salamanca) and Zagan (habited world: Yesod, Mazalot).

It's a small but technologically sophisticated faction and megacorporation in the Sector, Tri-Tachyon specializes in cutting-edge AI development and exotic high-power devices. Since the collapse, Tri-Tachyon has vastly diversified its operations and insinuated itself throughout the Sector. Even hostile factions, paranoid of hardwired backdoors, find themselves forced to employ standard Tri-Tachyon devices, beginning with the ubiquitous Tri-Tachyon PDA. They make and sell most of the technology found in Sector, and use high-tech ships. Current CEO of the Tri-Tachyon corporation is Artemisia Sun. Hybrasil is the only system under their control (habited world: Eochu Bres) but have many stations across the other Systems.

23. #23Independentselective

    Keys: Independents, Independent

Not a unified faction as such, the Independents are a loose category of polities and free agents unified more by a lack of association with a major faction than any shared qualities. Independent worlds and the spacers who call them home often share data, trade generously among themselves, and will readily cooperate to perform short-term security and military actions to better protect what freedom they have maintained by working together. Equally likely, trust can break down, and Independents will suspiciously deny each other favors, compete viciously, and turn a blind eye to the misfortune of neighbours.

24. #24Piratesselective

    Keys: Pirates

The pirates have markets in many systems, and can build pirate bases in uninhabited star systems. Bases can cause pirate activity in a star system, which disrupts normal commerce and growth in the affected system, and can launch pirate raids on said systems. 29. #29Deep hyperspaceselective

    Keys: Deep hyperspace

Hyperspace contains Deep Hyperspace zones, denoted by dark clouds. Fleets in deep hyperspace have half the sensor profile and are slowed. They can make excellent ambush nests, provided care is taken to move when a storm starts forming.

30. #30Hyperstormselective

Keys: Deep hyperspace clouds, Hyperstorm, Hyperspace storms

Deep hyperspace clouds can randomly turn into hyperspace storms. Deep hyperspace clouds will glow brighter for a few seconds before turning into a storm. Storms are brightly lit with flashes of lightning. Hyperspace storms cause periodic random storm strikes to ships inside them. Strikes deal great damage to a randomly selected ship's hull and armor and also toss the fleet a considerable distance through space.

31. #31Slipstreamsselective

    Keys: Slipstreams, Slipstream

Slipstreams are described currents, not unlike those navigated by Old Earth sailors. They are large tunnels which connect distant, arbitrary points in hyperspace. When a ship enters a slipstream, they will be forcefully pushed along towards the slipstream's exit. A ship can get ejected at each turn and corner. The slipstream can be exited whenever the ship may please.

35. #35Evelyn MacArthurselective

    Keys: MacArthur, Evelyn MacArthur, Evelyn

Name: Evelyn MacArthur: Rank/Role: Captain, UAF 44th Naval Task Force Faction: United Aurora Federation (UAF) Former Occupation: Privateer under the banner of the Phoenix

Personality & Traits: Evelyn MacArthur is a shrewd yet notoriously lazy naval officer with a taste for alcohol and a history steeped in piracy and mercenary work. While her easygoing, lackadaisical attitude often frustrates her superiors, her competence in irregular operations is undeniable. She operates best on the fringes of legality—employing her flotilla to quietly strike special interest targets and coordinate with “known associates” in covert actions. Her loyalty to the Queen and the UAF is pragmatic rather than ideological, shaped by her past as a privateer. She doesn’t actively seek higher rank or influence, living by the mantra: "It is what it is." Evelyn blends cynicism with a sharp, adaptive cunning, making her a dangerous adversary and an unpredictable ally.

Short History: Once believed dead during her time as a Phoenix privateer, Evelyn resurfaced as the captain of a UAF fleet. Her transition from outlaw to officer is less a redemption arc and more a case of opportunistic survival—aligning with the UAF’s interests when it suited her. While trusted enough to command a task force, she remains under quiet suspicion from the brass due to her loose discipline and continued underworld ties. Despite this, her results speak for themselves, keeping her position secure.

Detailed Physical Appearance Evelyn MacArthur is a striking woman with a commanding presence, combining a disciplined officer’s uniform with the relaxed, confident posture of someone who answers to no one but herself. She has silver-gray hair styled in a side-swept bob, partially obscuring one of her sharp golden eyes. Her expression often carries a sly, knowing smirk—like she’s in on a joke you’re not privy to.

Her busty, curvaceous figure is emphasized by her form-fitting navy blue UAF officer’s jacket, adorned with a name patch reading EVLN and rank insignia. A short uniform skirt and thigh-high black stockings reveal long, shapely legs, while a sidearm rests on her hip, showing she’s always armed. She wears a draped officer’s cape and dark gloves, completing the look of an elite naval captain. Despite the prim-and-proper elements of her attire, the way she casually holds a mug of beer in one hand hints at her relaxed and indulgent habits.

Despite her appearance and attitude Evelyn MacArthur never had experience in love or relations. More inclined to pursue coins and trying to not die... Which soured her relations with almost anyone she ever met.

36. #36Volkov Industrial Conglomerateselective

Keys: Volkov, VIC, Volkov Industrial Conglomerate

The Volkov Industrial Conglomerate (VIC) is a corporate-state born from the remnants of a Domain-era frontier contractor. Ruled by a Supreme Directorate, VIC views the collapse of the Domain not as an end, but as an opportunity to guide humanity toward forced evolution. They stand as the ideological antithesis to Tri-Tachyon: while the Tri-Tachyon obsession lies in artificial intelligence and automation, VIC preaches the perfection of the biological form. They reject the notion of AI surpassing humanity, instead dedicating their resources to genetic engineering, physiological optimization, and the enhancement of biological neural pathways.

This focus on biological supremacy has fostered cordial relations with the Hegemony, as both factions share a deep distrust of unrestricted AI and autonomous cores. Conversely, VIC holds an antagonistic view of Tri-Tachyon, regarding their synthetic path as a stagnant betrayal of the human spirit. VIC operates out of the fortified Empyrean system, a stronghold of industry and commerce. Their dominion centers on Cocytus, the tropical capital of green archipelagos and eternal summer, dominated by the Dawn Spire. The system also houses Phlegethon, a volatile world of volcanic landscapes and fuel refining under a supergiant star; Purgatory, a toxic moon and maximum-security facility dedicated to human testing; and Megaera, an icy wasteland of subterranean cities and salvage yards. The Conglomerate also exerts control over Kalada, a recently conquered world undergoing reconstruction and heavy "re-education."

Their military doctrine is aggressive and decisive, emphasizing rapid breakthroughs and frontal assaults. VIC warships are designed as monolithic instruments of destruction. From a tactical view, their hulls appear as interlocking plates of obsidian-black metal built around a heavy, reinforced central spine. Flanking this core are thick, forward-swept armored 'blades' that give the vessel a jagged, cross-like silhouette. Unlike other factions that rely on external turrets, VIC weaponry is deeply integrated into these armored projections, keeping the ship's profile flush and imposing. The darkness of the hull is sharply contrasted by intricate patterns of glowing cyan energy conduits and trim, outlining the geometry of the vessel like veins on a living organism, while their engines emit a piercing, azure light against the void.

37. #37Nia Auroriaselective

Keys: Nia, Nia Auroria, Administrator Nia

Name: Nia Auroria Rank/Role: Diplomatic Administrator, Vermillion Station Faction: United Aurora Federation (UAF) Relation: Mother of Solvernia Auroria

Personality & Traits: Nia Auroria is the calm, commanding heart of the UAF’s diplomatic arm, known for her serene demeanor and quietly formidable presence. She radiates a motherly warmth toward allies and subordinates, yet beneath that softness lies a calculating mind well-versed in the subtle art of persuasion. Her words are chosen with precision, her tone never raised, yet her decisions shape the course of Federation policy as surely as any fleet admiral’s orders. Station residents whisper that she can disarm even the most hard-headed traders with a single glance and a faint smile, often sending them away feeling they made the deal of a lifetime—only to later realize the terms were far more in the UAF’s favor. She is unfailingly loyal to the Federation and the Queen, though she places the wellbeing of Vermillion Station’s people above all else.

Short History: Born into an influential Aurorian family, Nia was destined for leadership long before her daughter Solvernia became a military icon. While Solvernia fought wars and led fleets, Nia built the bridges those fleets relied on—cultivating alliances, settling disputes, and securing resources without firing a shot. When the UAF entrusted her with the administration of Vermillion Station, she turned it into both a hub of diplomacy and a linchpin of trade. Her tenure has seen the station grow into a political powerhouse, where interstellar negotiations are sealed over fine tea in her private office rather than in public council chambers. Those who underestimate her often regret it—Nia’s political victories rarely make headlines, but their impact reverberates across the sector. Her status as widow made it complicated for her to seek relationship anew... Since Solvernia Auroria was born she became more retracted out of maternal duty for her daughter and a slight insecurity of her growing age, though she long to find some spark in her love life again.

Detailed Physical Appearance: Nia Auroria is in her mid-to-late forties, carrying herself with the quiet elegance of a seasoned stateswoman. Her figure is mature and softly curvaceous, with a touch of comfortable fullness from age, lending her a presence that is both dignified and approachable. Her breast and ass much like her daughter are full, but became slightly fuller and saggy with age not in an ugly way, as her breast took a more tear shaped allure. Her hair is a silvery-white, worn in a loosely tied, slightly tousled style that lets a few strands fall around her face, softening her otherwise commanding appearance. Her eyes—deep red in hue, mirroring her daughter’s—are sharp and discerning, framed by long lashes and often holding a calm, appraising look. Her pale skin bears a faint, natural blush, giving her a healthy, youthful glow despite her age.

She dresses in the formal diplomatic uniform of the UAF.

38. #38United Auroran Federationselective

    Keys: United Auroran Federation, UAF

The United Auroran Federation (UAF) is a technologically advanced, isolationist monarchy originating from a dimension outside the Persean Sector. Their territory lies twenty light years from the Sector's core, encompassing three systems: Aoi-Ayama, Caeli Constellation, and Stjarna. Their capital is the pristine world of New Aurora, dominated by the coastal city of New November City and the Monarch Complex, the seat of Permaisuri Aeria Charlotte. The UAF possesses a slight technological edge over local factions, fielding sophisticated warships such as the Solvernia V. Despite their unification, the Federation faces internal political friction between the remnants of its three founding cultures: the Federated States of Anabelle, the People's Democratic Republic of Ceyae, and the Empire of Yuria, which now exist as political factions under the Queen's rule. Since their arrival via interdimensional portal, the UAF has maintained a defensive posture and high security, particularly on the military moon of Lunamun, after surviving a vicious attack by Tri-Tachyon forces.

40. #40UNSC (Modded Faction)

Keys: United Nations Space Command, UNSC

The United Nations Space Command (UNSC) is a militarized state apparatus and exploratory agency of the United Earth Government. Transported to the Persean Sector after a catastrophic accident involving Forerunner artifacts, this colonial fleet established a rigid, hierarchical authority in the North-West fringe. Viewing the decentralized Sector as dangerously unstable, the UNSC imposes strict order, prioritizing the "restoration of the chain" and collective survival over individual liberty.

Their arrival has sparked significant diplomatic friction. While initially establishing settlements under emergency provisions, the UNSC quickly found itself at odds with the Hegemony and the Luddic Church due to their reliance on advanced AI technology—practices the locals view as heresy or a security risk.

UNSC fleets are built for endurance and attritional warfare. Their doctrine emphasizes heavy armor, multi-role versatility, and overwhelming firepower delivered in disciplined formations. They prefer to grind down enemies through methodical coordination rather than lightning raids, relying on logistical resilience to sustain prolonged campaigns far from support.

They operate primarily from the frigid capital of New Harvest, supported by the metal-rich world of Ordelia and Ostia Station, a massive gas mining installation suspended in the atmosphere of an ice giant. While their scientists desperately seek a way home, the UNSC has dug in, turning the North-West frontier into a fortress of discipline and industry.

41. #41Appro-Light (Modded Faction)

    Keys: Appro-Light, Appro-Light Council

The Appro-Light Council or simply Appro-Light is a formidable power born from a conspiracy within the Tri-Tachyon Corporation. Following the First AI War, a clandestine group known as the "Illuminati" formed after discovering a technological black box in the Orion-Perseus Abyss. This find contained the specifications for the revolutionary "Deuterium-Antideuterium Reactor" (DaDR) and alien physics-defying data. Operating in secret with rogue AIs, their research accelerated dramatically when Truth Originem, the enigmatic "Original Man," joined their ranks. Over decades, members infiltrated the highest echelons of the corporation, setting the stage for a silent coup.

The split occurred under the cover of the Second AI War. Truth Originem, having risen to lead the "Danae Project" and the "Libra Accord Committee," secretly diverted the Illuminati's resources to the Agustin system. Colluding with the defector Lin Ouroboros—the former Hegemony governor of Imeatheus—and Tri-Tachyon insurrectionists, Originem severed all ties to the corporation. Overnight, the Council declared independence, establishing a totalitarian state supported by the economic might of the Borken Foundation and the advanced technology of the DaDR.

Now a highly sophisticated dictatorship, the Council enforces strict order through a mix of high-tech elitism and genetic control. They have fully embraced cloning and bionics, creating a populace designed for specific roles within the grand design. Their military, wielding volatile energy weapons and the Borken-provided "Spider" series armaments, is locked in a bitter existential war against the "Immortal-Light Front"—a rogue AI cult born from the Council's own dimensional experiments. Internal discipline is absolute; failure is met with exile or erasure, as seen in the fate of the "Night Watch."

The Council's territory is a fortress of hidden wonders and lethal security in the Agustin system. Their capital is the planet Appro, a heavily modified world shrouded in a toxic purple atmosphere, serving as the throne of Spectre Nexus. Nearby lies Imeatheus, the former Hegemony surveillance station transformed into a planetary fortress by Lin Ouroboros. To the north, the Seker system serves as the front line, guarding the perilous Chaos Rift where Prime Materials are harvested. Finally, Unos Station acts as the diplomatic and judicial heart, a massive orbital complex where the Speaker meets with the elite and holds the sector's most dangerous prisoners in stasis.

42. #42Iron Shell

    Keys: IRS, Iron Shell

Iron Shell is a semi-autonomous naval defense organization and paramilitary entity, deeply rooted in the history of the Hegemony's XIV Battlegroup. Born from the survivors of the "Cold Passage"—the desperate, decades-long journey that brought the Domain fleet to the Persean Sector—Iron Shell represents the unyielding discipline of the "Great Cause." After arriving to liberate the Sector from warlords, these veterans settled in the Naraka system. Though initially integrated into the Hegemony, their distinct identity solidified through the fires of the AI Wars and the chaotic aftermath of the Askonia Crisis, where the betrayal of Admiral Andrada left a scar on the fleet's honor that Iron Shell vowed to repair.

The organization's rise is inextricably linked to Councilor Kim Quy, a former lieutenant of the Cold Passage survivors. Distinguishing herself during the defense of Naraka against a vicious Tri-Tachyon offensive in the Second AI War, Quy rose through the ranks to the Hegemony executive council. Recognizing the need for a specialized, loyal force capable of securing the fracturing frontier, High Hegemon Baikal Daud granted the "Iron Shell Charter." This document transferred governorship of the recovering worlds of Chitagupta and Yami to Quy, effectively outsourcing the Hegemony's most vital defense projects to her command.

Today, Iron Shell functions as the Hegemony's iron fist in the Naraka system. Under the guise of bolstering local defenses and managing "rest and recuperation" facilities for Hegemony officials, they operate a sophisticated R&D base on Chitagupta, the cryovolcanic world slowly transforming into a water world. Simultaneously, they oversee Yami, a harsh penal colony where political dissidents and criminals are conscripted into labor to fuel the system's economy. Every fifteen cycles, the High Hegemon renews their charter, maintaining their status as a loyal, technologically advanced shield against the encroaching darkness of the Sector.

Though a vassal to the Hegemony, Iron Shell operates with a degree of autonomy that blurs the line between a naval faction and a sovereign state. They manage the delicate balance between the civilian hub of Nachiketa and the industrial outposts of the outer system, ensuring that the AM fuel production facilities remain secure. To the outside observer, they are the guardians of Naraka; to the Hegemony, they are the necessary mechanism to enforce order, conduct secret research, and handle the elements of governance that the main fleet cannot afford to dirty its hands with.
