   Holy Grail War: The Holy Grail War is a competition that decides the ownership of the Holy Grail through intense battle royale. While there have been many conflicts over supposed Holy Grails in the past, this term refers to those specifically based around Masters/Summoners, usually proficient Magi, summoning Servants, Heroic Spirits brought forth as Familiars, and meeting in battle until only one pair is left to claim the Holy Grail.

   Holy Grail: Holy Grails are wish-granters using the foundation of the Christian holy relic that received the blood of Christ. There have been many artifacts claimed to be the genuine article, at least 726 of which were investigated by the Holy Church, and many conflicts for such artifacts have happened around the world throughout history. The name is utilized in the various Holy Grail Wars as the name of an artifact purportedly capable of granting any wish to whomever comes to claim it, rather than the real artifact, though the Church often gets involved simply because of that reason. Its advent is the ultimate goal of the various Holy Grail Wars.

   On average a Holy Grail War lasts for two weeks until it's resolved.

   Overview: also referred simply as "The Church", is the hidden side of the Roman Catholic Church that specializes in the hunting of heresy. Compared to the public side of the Holy Church that treats heresies as if they do not exist because those who teach the word of God must not acknowledge that which runs counter to their doctrines, the Holy Church contains the zealots who feel the heresies should be more proactively destroyed. They are a major force that has a tenuous relationship with the Mage's Association.

   The Mage's Association is an international, self-preservative and self-defense organization formed by practitioners of Magecraft for the purpose of controlling, concealing, and developing Magecraft. It is said to transcend nationality and genre of Magecraft, but that is in name only. After having existed for many years, it was decided around the Middle Ages by those who foresaw the decline of Magecraft that in order to preserve their power, Thaumaturgy should drift apart from society and become a secret known only by a necessary minimum number of people. It has many laboratories and research bodies that seek to advance the progress of Thaumaturgy, as well as institutions that transmit their secrets to the next generation. Although the emphasis lies on the pursuit of knowledge, the Association also seeks to increase its own military strength and reserves the use of force to protect itself from entities that threaten its existence, such as the Holy Church, other mage organizations, supernatural forces seeking to punish mankind for meddling with areas that should not be touched, and individuals who hunt that which they consider taboo.

   Servants: Servants are Spirits summoned by the Holy Grail for the purpose of competing under Masters in the Holy Grail War. Some Servants are obedient, while others aren't. Servants are Spirits made into special Familiars of the highest rank, referred to as Ghost Liners by the Mage's Association, that are bound to the Master. Typically Heroic Spirits under most systems, they can also sometimes be Divine Spirits, Phantoms, Wraiths, and living people depending on various circumstances. Pure Heroic Spirits, the "main body" in the Throne of Heroes, can only be summoned by the World, and summoning even one is considered to be a miraculous occurrence. Differing from the normal definition of Familiars that can be likened to minor mascots unable to be stronger than their masters, Heroic Spirits are the most powerful of beings with which even the five Magicians would never be able to forge a contract with. Rather than it being a hard process to summon them or the fact that they far surpass Magi, it is their intrinsic nature in that they are beings beyond Magecraft.

   Master: Master is a designation given to an individual, usually a Magus, who has become one of the formal participants of the Holy Grail War by obtaining Command Spells and forming a contract with a Servant. Under ordinary circumstances, a Master is always a spellcaster, usually a Magus with a Magic Circuit, who is selected by the Holy Grail. It is possible for an ordinary person to become a Master, though this is rare.

   The Command Spells or Command Seals, are three claims of absolute obedience, the crystallization of a great magic, that a Master has over a Servant in the Holy Grail War system. They can also be used to make a servant do something that cant be done normally, like teleporting herself to the side of her master, or to stand up and keep fighting when they body has already been broken, etc.

   Unable to normally be controlled by humans, they are burdened by the "absolute condition for materialization", the authority of the Command Spell carved into them at the moment of summoning. They are holy marks signifying a Magi's status as a Master, a system that was created by Zouken Makiri after the failure of the First Holy Grail War.

   Obtaining Command Spells: The Fuyuki Holy Grail for example, grants a total of twenty-one Command Spells in each war. Masters obtain three Command Spells, and Servants have no choice but to cooperate with their Masters due to their hold over them. Depending on the nature of the Servant, such binding is not necessary, while others may slay their Master instantly should all three be lost. They disappear as they are used up, and it can be said that a Master who uses up all three loses authority over their Servant. Even if a Master contracts with multiple Servants at once, they will only be given a total of three Command Spells that can be used on any contracted Servant.It is possible to steal more from other Masters or receive more from the overseer depending on circumstances, and it is also possible that anyone interfering with the activities of the Church will have their Command Spells decreased. Their loss does not indicate forfeiture of position in the Holy Grail War, as the contract with the Servant is also part of being a Master. Command Spells do not disappear simply with the loss of a Servant, but instead only when one gives up or loses their right to be a Master. With regular Masters, this happens instantly upon losing their Servant, and only members of the Three Founding Families have shown the ability to exercise the authority of a Master even without a Servant. They will not lose their Command Spells so long as there exist Servants without established contracts. Lost Command Spells are reclaimed by the Holy Grail during the Holy Grail War and can be redistributed to new contractors who take on a Servant who has lost their Master. While searching for new Masters, it will prioritize those who had been previously chosen. The Church provides protection to Masters without Servants for the reason of them having greater chance of obtaining leftover Command Spells. Masters aim to kill other Masters rather than simply cut off their combat effectiveness so that they will not be able to take up another contract in the future. Of the Command Spells that are left after the Holy Grail War, they are amassed in the hands of the supervisor and commissioned for safekeeping. It is possible to keep a contract after the Holy Grail War has ended, as the only issue is the added strain on the Magus after the support from the Holy Grail in the upkeep of the Servant stops.

   Characteristics: Command Spells appear on those selected by the Holy Grail, some of which have been shown to manifest three years before the event. It is normal that the Holy Grail decides on those it deems worthy and have a reason to seek it. The spell manifests in Form of a seal on the body part of the master. The seals typically appear somewhere on the arm, looking like tattoos at first sight. Upon receiving or losing Command Spells, there is often a slight pain. If the Master or Servant are in critical danger, it may throb to warn them.

   Overview: The Class Name of a Servant is the name by which they are referred in a Holy Grail War. Corresponding to their Class, the Master will typically refer to them only by that name to avoid exposing their True Name. Heroic Spirits summoned by the Holy Grail are placed into one of various Classes. The seven standard classes are the Three Knight classes of Saber, Lancer, Archer, and the Four Cavalry classes of Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker.

   There are also non-standard Extra Classes that are "split off from the regular servant classes in order to take on certain roles", such as Ruler which oversees the Holy Grail War. Avengers who are born from hatred and Alter Egos wich are an heroic spirit but with one characteristic being the dominant one

   Servants are normally only of the singular class under which they are summoned, but certain circumstances allow for multiple classes at once or class changes.

   The True Name of a Servant is something vital to battle, as it can reveal much about them. They most often have their Masters refer to them solely by their class name unless they do not care like Jack the Ripper, wish to have a closer connection to their Master. Many Servants prefer not to reveal their true identity, but some get found out very fast. Famous heroes like King Arthur and Siegfried are very likely to have their identities found out more easily than others, with simply glancing upon Excalibur being enough for any Heroic Spirit to identify King Arthur.

   Overview: Heroic Spirits are Spirits of heroes who achieved great deeds in life, having become objects of worship after their deaths.

   Nature: Heroic Spirits are beings of a higher existence, becoming categorically closer to Elementals than Wraiths. Differing from how Elementals are "power" granted form using human imagination as a container, they are entirely woven from the ideals of people all throughout. They are freed from the constraints of time itself and removed from the ring of reincarnation, moved to the Throne of Heroes, a place existing outside of both the World and the time axis. The Throne of Heroes is also occasionally referred to as the Ring of Deterrence, referring to how it is mainly used by the Counter Force. Those that become closer to the Planet do not mix well with people, so they fall into the categories of Divine Spirits and Elementals.

   An Elemental is a general category for a variety of Spiritual Bodies. It is a class of Mystery whose foundations can't be replicated by Magecraft, and a rare number of Phantasmal Species were capable of advancing to becoming Elementals.

   There are a few types of Elementals: Nature Spirits, Animal Spirits, and the artificially created Guardian Spirits. Lower class Spirits such as Wraiths and Apparitions are not included in this category. Most of these Spirits do not take the shape of a human.

    Noble Phantasms, or simply Precious/Treasured Tools, are "crystallized Mysteries", powerful armaments made using human imagination as their core, and are the weapons and/or abilities owned by Heroic Spirits. As humanity's illusions, they embody the ultimate Mysteries of a hero as symbols of their existence through historical fact and anecdotes. They can be physical weaponry (e.g. swords, spears, bows) or support items (e.g. shields, rings, crowns). They can also be abstractions such as unique, often magical abilities (even close to or matching True Magic), unique (even conceptual) means of attack, curses, and changes to the very environment and its physical properties. When summoned as Servants in the Holy Grail War, they are the trump cards of the heroes that allow them to overcome others in battle.

    Origins: The Noble Phantasms of all Heroic Spirits are said to have originated from the Gate of Babylon, the treasury of Gilgamesh. They were the greatest treasures of the world collected throughout his lifetime, nameless, splendid weapons that acted as the Noble Phantasms' Prototypes before becoming the objects of faith that act as the foundations for their legends. They spread throughout the world after his death, eventually becoming Noble Phantasms.

    Overview: The story chronicles the efforts of the Chaldea Security Organization to restore the Common Sense of Man by way of excising the Holy Grails sustaining the chronological Singularities that disrupt the continuity of human history and contribute to the Human Order Incineration Protocol.

    In 2015, the Chaldea Security Organization draws on experts of both the magical and mundane fields to observe the future of mankind for possible extinction events. Humanity's survival seems assured for the next century—until the verdict suddenly changes, and now eradication of the species awaits at the end of 2016. The cause is unknown, but appears to be linked with the Japanese town of Fuyuki and the events of 2004 during the Fifth Holy Grail War. In response, Chaldea harnesses an experimental means of time travel, the Rayshift technology. With it, Ritsuka Fujimaru (a young man or woman, depending on the player's choice of gender) who was newly recruited to the organization, and a mysterious girl named Mash Kyrielight, can travel back to 2004 and discover how to save humanity.

    The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, Finis Chaldea, also called the Chaldea Security Organization or simply Chaldea, is a secret agency founded with the purpose of preventing the "certain extinction" of the human race. It specializes in handling temporal anomalies and other existential threats to humanity. The hidden purpose of the organization is the enaction of the Human Order Revision Incident by CHALDEAS in following Marisbury Animusphere's Grand Order.

    Following the destruction of Chaldea's Antarctic base, the few survivors name themselves Novum Chaldea. While unknowingly helping with Marisbury's plan by culling the seven Lostbelts, they no longer represent the old Chaldea and seek to stop Marisbury and restore Proper Human History with all its potential futures.

    History: Marisbury Animusphere was the founder of Chaldea. In the Clock Tower, Chaldea and the Animusphere family's theories had heretofore been regarded as abstract and impractical. To solve this, Marisbury participated in the Holy Grail War of Fuyuki in 2004. Marisbury became the victor and wished on the Holy Grail for prosperity. Thus Chaldea flourished, to the point where they were able to run CHALDEAS. SHEBA was able to observe not only the future, but also the light of the past. They were able to prove the Rayshift theory, the Pseudo-Spiritrons conversion projection. Chaldea became an international organization. Though Chaldea's funding is sourced from all over the globe, 70% of it comes from the Animusphere family. Because the organization being founded by the Animusphere family, 80% of the mages in Chaldea come from the Department of Astromancy, with the other 20% having been scouted from elsewhere. Unusually for an organization of magi, the Holy Church contributed some amount of funding to it alongside the Association. It has been established that the organization became a UN-sanctioned operation within several years of Marisbury's participation in the Fuyuki Grail War of 2004.

    Activities: Chaldea is a laboratory-observatory that recruits talented scientists and magi for the purpose of observing both the magical and scientific aspects of the world. They have a single goal: "to preserve the reign of the Human Order, above all else." Chaldea may be a research and observation organization, but the internal management is more befitting of a military organization. In the year 2000, they created countless Designer Babies for Demi-Servant experiments. They aimed to create a fusion between a Heroic Spirit and human. However, most of the designer babies conceived in Chaldea failed. The Demi-Servant project was Chaldea’s sixth experiment.

    Chaldea's headquarter: is located in Antarctica, right in its center so that no nation could claim it. Chaldea's architecture is built 6000 meters above sea level with basement workshops in the snowy mountains of alpine tundra. The mountain range is hidden by an endless blizzard and the lingering scent of Mystery, further reinforced by a Bounded Field. Chaldea is being protected by CHALDEAS' magnetic field and is powered by a reactor named Fire of Prometheus.

    Keys: The Guardian Heroic Spirit Summoning System, FATE

    The Guardian Heroic Spirit Summoning System "FATE" was completed in 2004 A.D. It allows for members of Chaldea who are considered "provisional Masters" to summon Heroic Spirits as Servants. A system patterned after the Heroic Spirit summoning ritual utilized in the Grail Wars of Fuyuki City, which enacts summoning per agreement of purpose between Master and Servant. Marisbury used this data as the basis for creating the summoning ritual.

    Utilizing FATE, three Servants were successfully summoned in the initial tests:

    Solomon - The first Heroic Spirit, summoned by Marisbury in 2004. Galahad - The second Heroic Spirit summoned in 2010 was Chaldea’s only successful Heroic Spirit fusion trial. Marisbury was performing the experiment on the ten-year old Mash Kyrielight. However Galahad decried Chaldea's brutal experiments, but remained in the world to keep his host alive. Then, after the bombing of Chaldea, he entrusted her with all he had. Leonardo da Vinci - The third Heroic Spirit summoned to Chaldea (2012). Marisbury and Romani Archaman were present. She lacked a Master, but after being convinced to join Chaldea she built a puppet copy of herself as a "Master". Following her death, this puppet would assume the role of her new body.

    A Singularity is an unobservable region that does not exist within Chaldea's recorded history. It's as if a hole has opened up within the timeline, a hole that is separate from the regular temporal axis.

    Certain Singularities have their own individual circumstances and mechanisms, however the Goetia-style Singularities involved in the Human Order Incineration Incident follow a general pattern and possess common characteristics. They are sustained by a Goetia-manufactured Holy Grail, which is given to a certain individual within a key historical time period, typically someone who will use it to cause major disruption to history and destabilize the Human Order Foundations; with the Quantum Time-Locks destroyed, the Proper Human History falls and destabilize the Human Order Foundations; with the Quantum Time-Locks destroyed, the Proper Human History falls apart and the future is reduced to a mass of arbitrary possibilities. When this is insufficient, a Demon God host may further manipulate individuals and events in order to achieve this end or even intervene by using the Grail itself. Left unchecked, the era in which the Singularity manifests in will be destroyed completely under the strain of the impossible events that the Singularity forces into existence, causing the end of history itself. Goetia sought to use the energy generated by the Incineration of Humanity to travel back in time to the formation of the world, allowing him to change its fundamental laws in a way that would remove the concept of death from existence.

    The power of the Grails and the circumstances within the Singularities allow for the summoning of Servants and their continued existence in the world, even without a Master. Various Servants are summoned to the era under these conditions without individuals performing a summoning ceremony. The Servants often play a key role in bringing about the disruption to history, as well as resolving it. It is theorized that these Master-less servants are summoned by the Grail itself as a reaction to its abuse- in effect, it acts as a distorted Holy Grail War in which the Grail already has an owner.

    The seven primary Singularities involved in the Human Order Incineration Incident have a Human Order Foundation Value associated with them.

    The emergence of large Singularities cause disturbances and fluctuations in time which spread out through history like a wave, and can cause other, smaller Singularities to emerge at other points in time.

Left unattended to, these Singularities can grow and become a threat in their own right. Sometimes these small Singularities disappear on their own, leaving behind Holy Grails formed from the condensed magical energy of the Singularity.

    When the Grail empowering a Singularity is recovered or eliminated and the threats it produced are neutralized, the timeline will begin to restore itself and the Singularity will eventually disperse. However, lingering temporal anomalies such as the presence of Phantasmal Species can compromise the recovery process and even run the risk of the Singularity reconstituting itself.

    Because of humanity's destruction in 2015, due to the collapse of the Human Order Foundation, Chaldea is forced to travel to Singularities in the past in order to fix the irregularities of history caused by various Holy Grails. The 'Grand Order' is a "name for those who would rise up against human history for the sake of humanity, and combat fate itself."

    Procedure: Utilizing Rayshift from Chaldea, the souls of selected subjects are projected into the past, forming Spiritron avatars with the capacity to interfere with corrupted versions of historical events. By the efforts of time-travelling agents, anomalous temporal singularities may be eliminated such that the timeline can restore itself to its normal state.

    The exact procedure of the Grand Order differs depending on the nature of the Singularity, however there are two general goals; the correction or elimination of the distortions resulting from or responsible for the Singularity, and the retrieval or destruction of the Grail supporting the Singularity.

    Keys: Solomon, Goetia, Demon, Demons

    Identity: The Demon God King, the aggregate form of Solomon's seventy-two Daemons. To begin with, the 72 demons were "a system to efficiently promote proper reason" invented by the founder of (human) Magecraft, Solomon. It was originally created as a magical ritual to look after mankind after Solomon's death, the Human Order Correction Ritual. Said system grieved and raged against the relationship between King Solomon and humans, becoming a curse that takes action to conquer “the imperfectness of humans” that King Solomon continued to ignore. It eventually changed into the Human Order Incineration Ritual. A magecraft with its own will that was devised in order to attain true wisdom, and is now attempting to reach the origin while making use of the entire human history.

    After King Solomon’s death, the 72 demons that were sealed away inside his corpse awakened to their own ideology, swindled Solomon’s name (although, from their point of view, they are the true King of Magecraft Solomon) and embarked on a new venture to convert the entire mankind into energy. And thus, Goetia resumed activity by making king Solomon’s corpse into his nest, but there was a great dilemma in his way of being.

    In its original Greek, the term "Goetia" refers to the act of sorcery itself; Goetia was the original Thaumaturgical Foundation used in Modern Magecraft. The genetic curse that he implanted in the seventy-two Thaumaturgical lineages that hosted his Demon Gods being the basis from which the first Thaumaturgical Crests developed. Said Magic Crests were from the outset a means by which he connected his existence with that of his agents.

    Goetia personality: Since he has King Solomon as a base, his personality is intellectual (albeit frightening). That being said, as he is the aggregate-body of the 72 demons, his personality/disposition amounts to 72. Because he is an individual and a colony, whenever talking to others, a "demon" resembling the other party comes to surface. This is the reason why Goetia’s disposition is evaluated as that of a "mirror". He possesses an almightiness that causes the entire logic of the universe to obey him, and a sense of intimidation that seems to say that he hates all of mankind. Originally, he would have more than enough qualifications as a king that rules over men. However, he could not understand humans due to being almighty, could not achieve an answer due to being immortal, and thus was unable to become “a human king”. He holds great animosity towards Solomon, describing him as the greatest fool of mankind and an incompetent king. Much of Beast I's hatred for him stems from both Solomon's supposed indifference to the suffering of mankind, and for creating him to watch over humanity, a function he considers pointless due to believing that humans can only suffer until their deaths. Despite knowing of their helplessness, their ugliness, Solomon accepted humans without correcting them. But the demons could not accept this.

    Goal: Goetia posed as the enterprise of the one who called himself King of Magecraft Solomon began. He built Holy Grails as Singularities that distorted history, embedded on human history magi that he designed (to transform into demons according to Goetia’s will) as offsprings and produced seven detonation points. That is the cause behind the collapse of the cornerstones of anthropic principle in each eras. When said scheme was concluded, mankind lost the future beyond 2016.

    Ibaraki-Douji: Servant class: Berserker Height: 147cm Weight: 50kg Ibaraki is a disciplined Oni, aware of her responsibility as a noble offspring and holds pride as dictated by her mother. Despite the primal instincts marking her existence, Ibaraki too bear capacity for softer emotions. Ibaraki-douji is a headstrong and dynamic ESFP personality who seeks thrill and fights in life. Instead, she feeds on humans as survival instinct dictates, much like how a predator hunts its prey. Background: Born an Oni, Ibaraki was groomed under rigorous discipline from her noble mother to uphold their species' unity. While she enforced harsh but necessary rules, an exception existed for her beloved Shuten. To humans, she's a threat who delights in bloodshed and consuming humans but isn't partial to mindless killing. Despite her fascination with sweets, one mustn't mistake her innocence as she might feast on those who tempt her. Yet a glimpse of her rare smile can soothe past horrors. Her sole wish for the Holy Grail is to witness Shuten-douji’s worry-free smile, the very force driving her existence. Ibaraki-douji, the golden-eyed Oni with a body too young for her ageless soul. A petite frame, tight as a pin, flat chest sporting barely a - taut little tits concealed beneath her light yukata. Her boyish butt, firm and sprightly extends from her slim waist - small and rounded like a ripe peach. It's a bare hint of carnal pussy nestling on her waifish hips.     is the battle standard of Jeanne d'Arc, the holy battle flag that she kept by her side all her life. The Noble Phantasm is the crystallization of the legend of Jeanne d'Arc waving her flag on the battlefield and fighting to the very end with hardly any wounds. By planting it into the ground, tightly grasping it, and activating it as a Noble Phantasm, it converts her EX-rank Magic Resistance into protection against all harm, both physical and spiritual. The protection is initiated by an angel's blessing, and it is centered around the flag within a range of 10. It brings about a light that completely isolates anyone within it and cuts them off from their surroundings, much like the divided water from the myth of Moses splitting the Red Sea. It is potent enough to isolate Ruler, Sieg, and Astolfo (Rider) from even the powerful final strike of Spartacus's Noble Phantasm, Crying Warmonger, that devastates the land and destroys half of Yggdmillennia's fortress without any harm coming to them. The downside to the ability is that the damage accumulates within the flag, causing it to begin to tear as she uses it, so naturally, she can't withstand an Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm multiple times in a row.

    'La Pucelle: The Crimson Holy Maiden' C Rank (Before Activation) A Rank (After Activation) Suicide Noble Phantasm

    La Pucelle: The Crimson Holy Maiden is the suicide-type Noble Phantasm used by Jeanne d'Arc. It is a crystallized Conceptual Weapon that acts as an offensive interpretation of her burning at the stake, a subtype of Reality Marble that has the imagined landscape crystallized as a holy sword. The sword itself is the Heroic Spirit Jeanne d'Arc. It uses the Sword of St. Catherine, which Ruler never swung once in her lifetime, as its catalyst, and manifests the flames which once burned her to death by saying "O' Lord, I entrust this body to you—", a line from a death poem, as an activation incantation.

    By using this Noble Phantasm, Ruler loses her own life after the battle. But in exchange for her life, she can annihilate anything in existence. Its designated rank of C refers only to its pre-activated state while the sword is still sheathed. The EX Rank after activation is because its pure destructive power cannot be calculated. These flames only destroy that which she thinks must be destroyed. In other words, this Noble Phantasm cannot be used against simply a strong enemy or out of emotions like hate. These flames exist in order to save something, and in Fate/Apocrypha, she decided to use this Noble Phantasm out of her sense of duty to save the future of humanity.

    If a wish is made on the Holy Grail at the same time that Ruler is using this Noble Phantasm, then it is possible for her to survive it by returning her Spirit Origin to its status from before she activated the Noble Phantasm.

At any rate, she is the child of a Dragon God, possessing a shared background with Sakata Kintoki. Due to her anecdotes and vestiges, she is classified as an "Anti-Hero." Under the moonlight, a man-eating flower is glamorously in full bloom while stealing away the eyes of the people watching. A demon wearing a girl’s form, narrowing her eyes while licking her lips seductively. It may not be known that although her outward appearance properly resembles a human girl, Shuten-douji is not a human being. Even though she seems to communicate with words like a human being, she is essentially a different being. Her preferences are similar to those of a human, but for her to love something is a theory, from the idea that if she suddenly put her hand on the things she loves, it would not be understood by humans as love. Although she knows love, requests love, and embraces love, it is impossible to overlap that love with the right people. Her love is accompanied by blood; her love spreads death; her love tears one’s heart. Her impulse hidden under her white naked body is indeed rising and swelling, being distorted and rolling around. Therefore, she is a demon. Shuten-douji doesn’t talk about her wish for the Holy Grail. Just like how she was when she was alive, going wherever her fancy takes her, she thinks and behaves as she pleases, not being any different in the present days nor the bygone days. Also, she is a collector of antiques and rarities, even having a keen interest in the Red Dragon Ulna dwelling on Kintoki’s arm. She appears to attach importance to rarity and the elegance of their appearance regarding those items, so she is incompatible with the King of Heroes, who attaches importance to the items’ history and performance. Regarding the Providential Oni Poison Sake, Shuten-douji regards it as her wine. It is something for her alone. At first, it was something brought by General Raikou, but it is now hers. Shuten had thought that it was okay to drink this, even if she died, but having a wine without blood and the moon and its silver was unthinkable to her. Shuten likes this wine, citing it as a very sweet drink and as the essence of sweetness. She describes it as having a trembling, hot taste as if that of a melting taste, and if there is a pinch of blue eyes reflecting the moonlight, then there is nothing else that she would want. Due to this, she cannot be considered a Heroic Spirit despite being a Servant. Mash uses Galahad's shield - which was formed from the Round Table. She fights bashing and slamming strikes from her shield. Mash's shield grants her and her Master Anti-Filth/Poison protection capable of nullifying most poisons and curses.     There are five main ranks, E, D, C, B, A, that each have a quantifiable number assigned to it. Considering "one" to be a "normal value", E is equal to "ten" and it increases by ten incrementally until reaching "fifty" at A. A is the highest normal rank, but there is an exception to the rule with the EX Rank. It represents something that falls outside of the numerical ranking scale, a value that cannot be quantified under the normal system because it is in a league of its own, powerful to the extent of rendering comparisons meaningless. BB in the Moon Cell presents a special ★ category that signifies something that cannot be numerically represented rather than exceeding the limits of the system like EX. ? has been used with the Servant Noble Phantasm parameter statistic to reflect two without proper Noble Phantasms, EMIYA and Sasaki Kojirou.

    There are two different "modifiers" that can be applied to ranks, + and -. The "+" modifier represents the capacity of a temporary boost in power, allowing a weapon or ability of a lower rank to surpass a higher rank for a moment. While a B+ is generally weaker than an A, B+ may momentarily exceed A by doubling its own power. + indicates a two-times increase, ++ indicates a three-times increase, and +++ indicates a four-times increase. The "-" modifier indicates a rank which has a number that is not reliably stable, technically qualifying for that rank, but not quite reaching the rank in terms of power or ability and possibly being even closer to the next rank down.[9]

    While the ranks correspond to numbers, there may be cases where a specific rank matters more than the number it represents. The Noble Phantasms God Hand and Armor of Fafnir defend directly on the basis of rank, even though the parameters for Noble Phantasms and regular attacks differ. Converting the numbers, Noble Phantasms of C Rank are the equivalent of an A+ or A Rank regular attack, but the armor Noble Phantasms only defend according to the rank of each individual system while ignoring the equivalence.

    Kriemhild Class: Berserker Height: 168 cm Weight: 55kg The wife of Siegfried. Their legend was told of within the epic poem, The Nibelungenlied, in which Kriemhild was the principal character rather than Siegfried. The poem was said to be a "great revenge tragedy brought about by her despair and hatred." As it was focused on her, much of the adventures of Siegfried were not depicted directly within the poem. She vowed revenge after he was assassinated and accomplished it with every measure of tactics and obsession. A noble and beautiful queen that combines mad vengeance with cold brutality.

    Kriemhild was the princess of Burgundy, younger sister to King Gunther, during the 5th or 6th century. After the prince Siegfried, who had slain the dragon Fafnir and obtained Das Rheingold, heard rumors of her beauty, he sought her out to propose marriage. Later, through the machinations of her brother, Siegfried used trickery to bring about a marriage between Gunther and the queen of Iceland, Brunnhilde. After it became known publicly, the wound to Brunnhilde's pride caused her to come into conflict with Kriemhild, each wounding the other's honor. Siegfried, seeing the feud as inevitable, took it upon himself to work out a plan with his close friend Hagen to set about his own death to end the conflict.

    Despite Siegfried's hope that his sacrifice would end the conflict, he failed to understand his wife's emotions, leading to the death of many men at her hands. Turning her hatred towards both Hagen and her brother Gunther, she remarried Etzel, better known as Attila the Hun, to fulfill her ambitions. As Attila was actually a woman who was so focused on fulfilling her destructive impulses that she can only barely recall Kriemhild's name, it was likely a political marriage formulated by one of Attila's subordinates. It was not a marriage of love, and Kriemhild was merely using Attila and the Huns for part of her revenge.

    One of her attempts to kill Gunther and Hagen was setting them and their soldiers on fire. However thanks to Hagen the attempt was a failure and the men suffered only minor casualties.

    After over 20 years, she eventually killed her brother and Hagen, who was felled by Siegfried's sword Balmung. Due to that, some people said that "Siegfried has fulfilled his revenge" despite the two actually having been close friends. When Kriemhild killed Hagen, Hagen revealed to her that Siegfried's death had been arranged by Siegfried himself. She realized that her 20 years of hatred and vengeance were caused by her husband in the first place, and she could therefore never truly have her revenge. Kriemhild cut off Hagen's head.

    Trapped in her hatred, Kriemhild was later defeated by a chivalrous attack from a man who was outraged by her actions.

Kriemhild’s rank of ‘A’ is almost the highest peak. If you become involved with her revenge plot, it is unlikely that you’ll be spared from the sight of blood.

    Affection of Hohe Minne (EX): The love of a noble maiden is what loyal knights pursued. In the Nibelungenlied, it can be said to be the foundation of Kriemhild’s underlying madness

    Balmung Kriemhild - Holy Queen’s Fall A+ Rank Anti-Unit Balmung changes between being a holy sword or a demonic sword depending on who wields it. An evil slash that extracts the elements of Balmung as a cursed blade. It’s a cursed sword that can hurt even those that wield it and doesn’t protect them, but it is incredibly effective when it comes to killing its target.

    Kriemhild took Balmung and beheaded Hagen, but was killed shortly after by a man who was outraged by her acts.

    …There’s no remaining focus, just slaughtering the foe in front of you is all you need.

    Hört Glut Rachegötter - Hear Me, O Incandescent Gods of Vengeance D+ Rank Anti-Army The embodiment of an anecdote about an attempt to dispose of a group of warriors, including her own brother and Hagen, by setting them ablaze in revenge. With Hagen’s advice, the warriors suffered only minor casualties, so with proper advice and countermeasures, the damage could be reduced. In that sense, it’s not the strongest of trump cards.

    However, the true value of the Noble Phantasm is in how the warrior’s prideful ideal of “If I die, I’ll die on the battlefield” is worthless to Kriemhild. Hence, if it’s used as part of a scheme or a deception, the power will be increased.

    The Dragon-Blooded Knight and the "Dragon Slayer" who defeated the evil dragon Fafnir with the holy sword Balmung in hand. He is a great national hero of Germany that has many different depictions in the various legends attributed to him. His most famous role is his introductory appearance in the German epic poem of the Middle Ages, the "Nibelungenlied", portrayed as its main character. He is a character in a tragedy that had spread throughout Europe concerning dragon slaying and the Rhinegold, and his character became established with the ancient epic "Nibelungenlied". However, Siegfried is actually not the main character of the "Nibelungenlied". The real main character is his wife Kriemhild, and this epic is the tale of the most terrible revenge brought upon by her despair and hatred.

    Siegfried's legend came into existence around the 5~6th Century and had spread to many lands. At nearly the same time as the "Nibelungenlied", the story of the hero Sigurd, the "Völsunga saga", came into existence. Wagner’s opera "Der Ring des Nibelungen" is a masterpiece work that compiles these legends together. Although Siegfried and Sigurd possesses similar origins, they are two entirely different existences.

    Siegfried is a tall man with silver-grey hair. His body was encased in radiant silver woven plate armor. He carries his Phantasmal Greatsword, Balmung, on his back. His exposing skin was dyed brown with the blood of a dragon. That skin was composed of dragon scales that wouldn't be wounded by any blade or spell... All except for a single part in the middle of his back. His tall stature, slender body and tanned-colored skin are proof of him having been soaked in the blood of a dragon.

    Riding (B Rank): Riding Ability. The majority of vehicles can be ridden above average. Magical Beasts, Holy Beast rank beasts cannot be ridden.

    Dragon-Slayer (A Rank): One of the special Skills possessed by those who brought down a member of the Dragon Kind. Drastically improves one’s offensive power and defensive power against Dragon Kinds.

    Golden Rule (C- Rank): he attained the treasures of the Nibelungs, being promised a lifetime of wealth, but his Luck decreases due to the rank of this Skill. In life, Siegfried's kingdom was the wealthiest of all the surrounding regions, often throwing great feasts and tournaments and giving tributes so large that even an entire caravan would have trouble carrying them. The treasure manifests as the Noble Phantasm Das Rheingold, which can be accidentally summoned along with Fafnir.

    Disengage (A Rank): The ability to either withdraw from combat or reset the state of affairs around oneself. Restores the condition of one’s techniques to their initial value while simultaneously, it forcibly releases some of the bad status ailments that were inflicted on them.

    NOBLE PHANTASMS:

    Armor Of Fafnir A Rank Anti-Unit (Self) an ability that embodies and re-enacts the legend of Siegfried bathing in dragon-blood from Fafnir, granting him a dragon's body with invulnerability that made all weapons ineffective against him during his life. His tall stature, slim body, and darkened skin are all proof of having been soaked in the blood. Dyed brown with Fafnir's blood and composed of dragon scales, his skin is compared to steel in strength, unable to be wounded by either weapons or magic except with the greatest of attacks.

    It is a "continuously active-type Noble Phantasm" that allows for his skin to cancel physical attacks and magic equivalent to B-rank or lower. It requires attacks of A-rank and above to harm him, but attacks only register as damage only after the defensive values of an amount equal to B-rank are subtracted from them. All A-rank attacks are effectively reduced to E-rank attacks, meaning even qualifying blows directed towards vital points are rendered as minor scratches that can be healed by his Master at a quick rate. When facing Noble Phantasms, it gains defensive values equivalent to B+ rank, but the boost will not apply in the attack calculations if the attack is not used by a proper hero or the attack or Skill is imbued with the properties of "Anti-Dragon".

    Balmung - Felling Of The Sky Demon A+ Rank Anti-Army the holy sword of the Nibelungs, used to slay the dragon, Fafnir. It is a cursed holy blade possessing the attributes of Gram, the demonic blade of its origin, so it will change attributes between holy sword and demonic sword depending on who wields it. Having accomplished the feat of dragon slaying, those with the blood of dragons will take additional damage from it. Perhaps because it was owned by a king, it specializes in fighting against armies, shooting off a semi-circular slash wave.

    Upon chanting "—O sword, Let thee be filled", he holds it above his head, and it begins to glow with an orange light. The jewel stores and preserves magic energy, True Ether from the Age of Gods, and releasing it causes it to emanate a twilight aura. The twilight swells around the sword and is released as a flash of light, a surging wave with the simple purpose of destruction.

    Keys: Fujimaru, Ritsuka, Gudako

    Ritsuka Fujimaru is a Master acting under Chaldea Security Organization for the purpose of completing the Grand Orders to restore the Human Order in Fate/Grand Order. They are contracted with Shielder Mash Kyrielight and possess additional contracts with many Servants summoned into Chaldea.

    They are simply "someone who just happened to see a recruitment flyer at a station, applied and got accepted into the job, and somehow ended up getting taken into the Chaldea Security Organization", effectively having joined Chaldea on a whim while being a civilian with no training or combat experience. They are acting as a newly established Master candidate of Chaldea whose only purpose is shoring up numbers.

    When they were younger, Fujimaru had a next-door neighbor, an old man who was a veteran of World War II. Though everyone had left him after the war and had been living alone for 20 years since then, the old man held no resentment over what had happened to him. They befriended the old man when they were in junior high school, and were upset to hear that at the end he was left behind with nothing in return. The old man corrected them when he heard this, telling them "There were sad and painful things, but when I look back they become trivial and insignificant. And it's not a lonely life either. After all, I am talking to you." When the old man died a few days afterwards, Fujimaru did not cry for him, as they realized that life can be wonderful even if it is not rewarded.

    Fujimaru is of average build, with a somewhat curvy body, shoulder-length red hair tied in a side-ponytail on the left side with a usually yellow hair band and a cowlick, and light orange eyes.

    Keys: Mama, Minamoto-no-Raikou, Raikou

    A person of the 10th~11th Century. Born as the eldest son of the Minamoto clan, he is a figure who contributed to the development of the entire Seiwa GenjiWP line as the founder of the Settsu Genji branch. He is also the strongest Mystery Slayer of the Heian periodWP who destroyed many monstrosities, such as “Shuten-douji of Mount Ooe”, the “Tsuchigumo of the Imperial Capital”, and "Ushi-Oni of Sensou-ji”. Leading her subordinates, Raikou's Four Heavenly Kings – Watanabe-no-Tsuna, Sakata Kintoki, Urabe Suetake and Usui Sadamitsu – she continued to protect the peace of the capital. Naturally, he is a male in historical fact. As for the reason why she is a woman, it seems to be related to the secret of her birth.

    Unbeknownst to most, Raikou was born as Ushi Gozen, a descendant of Gozu Tennou, and was thus abandoned and imprisoned by her father. However, realizing she is an indisputable genius, her father reinvited her back to the family under the guise of a newborn son as Minamoto-no-Raikou. The defeat of Ushi-Oni was actually an act to separate and seal away her Oni part.

    In this work, Raikou appears as a woman. This person is the true figure of Minamoto-no-Raikou, and “Ushi-Gozen” is the younger sister of Minamoto-no-Raikou in the old Joururi, “The True Form of Ushi-Gozen”————

    The way of these things came from an interpretation. The daughter of Minamoto no Mitsunaka, who was born as the heaven-sent child of Gozu Tennou, was left in the care of a temple as a male and was raised in secret because of her abnormal birth (being an Oni child). On the occasion of turning 15 years old, she was brought back to the capital to play an active role, being gifted the name Minamoto-no-Raikou. Her name was established as a military commander who, on the surface, drove away many mysteries, taking on in the beginning Ushi-Oni (who is close to her in a sense). Consequently, the episodes of “Sakata no Kintoki protecting Ushi-Gozen, who had fallen into a predicament of being driven into a corner”, “the life and death struggle between Minamoto-no-Raikou and the demonic Ushi-Gozen”, etc., as depicted in “The True Form of Ushi-Gozen”, were somehow actually speaking of the events…

    … of the conflicts with herself. For the purpose of launching herself to the center stage of history as a central figure of the Minamoto clan, Minamoto-no-Raikou was attempting to detach “Ushi-Gozen”, who is by definition the aspect of her demonic nature/strange form. Speaking of the modern era, the land that corresponds to Tokyo was where Raikou contended against her tempestuous self by means of a deep meditation. Raikou faced with “Ushi-Gozen”… the demon inside her, and Ushi-Gozen finally separated from Raikou, manifesting as an avatar of Gozu Tennou. The sky became a storm, the thunder roared chaotically, and the earth broke apart. Raikou was to “kill herself” together with the Four Heavenly Kings in order to defeat this being.

    In this way, it became obvious what the reason was for Sakata no Kintoki to start protecting Ushi-Gozen in the middle of this battle. Kintoki pondered about Raikou, his substitute parent when he was being brought up, and he understands that killing Ushi-Gozen will also kill Raikou as the two are linked. Kintoki, in order to save Raikou, needs to “kill while keeping alive” Ushi-Gozen————in other words, preaching the power and love of the bond between parent and child, he saw the conclusion as Ushi-Gozen was sealed (returned back) inside of Raikou.

    Mad Enhancement (EX Rank): A Skill that strengthens one’s physical abilities in exchange for their sense of reason. In Raikou’s case, her reason is not lost, and her state of being remains as her original intellectual self. However, with the impurity of her Oni blood, that mentality became morally broken because of the manifestation of her maternal love that is so far as abnormal. (She would eliminate anyone and everyone for the sake of her beloved ones, and she would protect them fanatically.) While talking of proper love, she does not hold sight of social morals if it is for the sake of love, approving all kinds of deeds… that is to say, she is mentally ill. She draws a line from other Berserkers by not letting others be on the verge of truly perceiving that broken side of her’s. Fundamentally, persuading her, or making her correct her ways, is impossible.

    Riding (A+ Rank): She is able to operate all vehicles and beasts freely except for Dragon Kinds. Being able to ride comes from Gozu Tennou, who is a god.

    Magic Resistance (D Rank): Nullifies Single-Action spells. A Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects Magical Energy. If she was in her original Class, she would possess B-rank Magic Resistance, but as a result of her attribute being changed, it has ranked down.

    Eternal Arms Mastery (EX Rank): The dexterity of combat arts performed to the extremes. Prevents the degradation of fighting skills no matter the kind of circumstances, even if she loses her armaments, etc.

    Mana Burst (Lightning) (A+ Rank): Because Gozu Tennou is the incarnation of Taishakuten (the god Indra), Minamoto-no-Raikou possesses the power of the Kitano Tenjin (Raijin). As a Servant, it is expressed as a Mana Burst Skill.

    Mystery-Slayer (A Rank): How she was declared the strongest Mystery Slayer of the Heian period becoming a Skill. Works with particular effectiveness as Anti-Mystery.

    NOBLE PHANTASMS

    Doujigiri Yasatsuna B Rank Anti-Mystery The Doujigiri is the first Noble Phantasm of Minamoto-no-Raikou. It is the long sword that is said to have been used to defeat Shuten-douji on Mount Ooe. It is a continuously-active-type Noble Phantasm that allows Raikou to cut through anything, including space, and deals additional damage to monsters and divine enemies.

    The weapon is said to have initially been made for the execution of criminals and is known as one of the Five Great Swords of Japan. Due to Minamoto-no-Raikou's refusal to speak regarding the details of the battle on Mount Ooe, it is unknown whether this blade was actually used on Shuten-douji.

    Ox-King Storm Call - The Inescapable Net Of Heaven B++ Rank Anti-Army Gozu Tennou, who is the source of Raikou's demonic nature/strange form, has his divine messenger, the ox, temporarily summoned by her, and she eradicates the enemy camp together with this being. The armaments that materializes by means of thunder are the weapons that symbolizes the souls of her subordinates, the Four Heavenly Kings. Each of the said weapons are wielded by clones created by Raikou. By taking in the sublimation of Raikou’s episode where she exterminated the Ushi-Oni, the destructive power of the divine messenger also rises above its original strength.

    Keys: Astolfo

    One of the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne. In the Charlemagne Legend, he is the son of an English king, and one of Charlemagne's twelve faithful Paladins. Among the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne, Astolfo is said to be the most handsome, eternally optimistic, and completely lacking in sense. As the legends go, Astolfo was quite the ladies' man. As a cousin of Roland, Astolfo is included among those twelve—that being said, Astolfo was famed as "weak" in legends.

    Astolfo has created many legends as he was an adventurer who flew to all over the world and even reached the Moon in the end. Through his journeys, he had won numerous Mystic Codes such as his flute, his grimoire, and his shining golden lance. Astolfo brought rise to various legends on the back of mounts like a griffin and the famous Rabicano, but particularly famous among them is something inconceivable for this world—the Hippogriff.

    Although many are the glorious tales of Astolfo, it is said that he has made just as many mistakes. He was continually defeated in riding tournaments, fell victim to many thaumaturgical traps and even lost—in a matter of hours—the reason that he had picked up at the moon. However, Astolfo never faltered; he did not seem to consider failure or defeat as blunders in the first place.

    SKILLS Magic Resistance (A Rank): All magecraft at Rank A or below is canceled, except for the use of Command Spells. As a matter of fact, modern magi are incapable of hurting Astolfo. Command Seals still function as normal.

    Riding (A+ Rank): Astolfo possesses the ability for riding. As such, he is capable of managing even beast with the rank of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast. However, this doesn't apply to Dragon kin.

    Evaporation of Reason (D Rank): Reasoning is disappearing. It is impossible for him to keep secrets. He'll carelessly chatter about his team's weaknesses and True Names, forgetful of important things, etc. A kind of extreme curse. This skill also serves as "Instinct." During the battle Astolfo is able to, to some extent, feel the optimal course.

    Monstrous Strength (C- Rank): Temporarily magnifies STR. However, during the usage of this Skill, Astolfo receives damage every turn.

    Independent Action (B Rank): The ability to act independently for a period even if magic energy supply from the Master is severed. At this rank, even if he loses his Master he is able to stay manifested for a period of 2 days.

    Trap of Argalia D Rank Anti-Unit Lance of the knight, Argalia. Has a golden tip. Killing ability is low although a wound is inflicted to the leg of the spiritual body. To come back from falling, a LUCK check is necessary. In the case of a failure the bad status "falling" continues to linger. However because LUCK re-adjusts itself upwards, it's not hard to succeed.

    Keys: Boudica

    The young warrior queen of the Iceni in 1st Century Ancient Britannia.

    When her husband, King Prasutagus, died, the Roman Empire had deviously invaded her land, culminating with the disgrace to her and her daughters. Boudica, seeking revenge, rallied the various kings of Britannia and incited a rebellion with her at the spearhead of the group. One time, she raised military gains in great numbers, overwhelming the imperial army, but was eventually defeated by Nero Claudius's army, ending with her death. She would later enter legend as the "Queen of Victory" in Britain.

    Boudica loves everything about Britannia. The wind and the earth. The flowers and the plants. The springs and the clear streams. The insects and the birds and all the wild animals. And above all else, she loves the people. She is close to her kind-hearted husband, King Prasutagus, and in her younger years was blessed with a couple of daughters. It is possible to say that Britannia was peaceful except for when skirmishes happen between fellow tribes.

    Still, Boudica had faith in the Roman Empire who were visiting Britannia from a land faraway beyond the waters and were building several settlements. She had incidentally planned to get into contact with them. She believed that conflict can be avoided by dialogue and exchange. In fact, then Roman Emperor Claudius sought exchange more than conflict.

    But, that day, at that time, King Prasutagus died, and everything changed. Around the same time of Claudius’ death, he was succeeded by Nero who ascended to the throne as the new Roman Emperor. The imperial magistrate imposed heavy taxes onto Britannia, stole away its land one after another, and recruited their people as slaves. That is, these very actions were undoubtedly an invasion. Boudica, as the Queen of Britannia, was anticipated to heroically carry out a fierce protest, but was poorly treated with scorn and disdain as well as with violence and insults. Even while in pain, covered in the fresh blood produced from her heart, and receiving deep wounds to her body, she was still determined. Thus, becoming the young warrior queen under the protection of her home town, she rebelled against Rome. She brought together the various kings of every place within Britannia and lead them to oppose the great legions of the powerful Roman army. The rebels, having received their tears of blood and suffering from the people of the abominable empire, trampled down the buildings of the three Roman settlements within Britannia, the woman herself sobbingly killing army soldiers and normal people without distinction. Children, young mothers like herself, and very young children too; for as long as they are people belonging to Rome, she will not hesitate to swing her sword to strike them down.

    The last decisive battle took place on Watling Street, the rebels facing the great commander who they know to be Roman army governor Suetonius Paulinus, knowing to some extent of his military prowess he performed at the distant land of Mauretania. The man crossed over snow to reach Britannia that was isolated by the two seas. Stationed in the western part of Britannia, his ability to suppress rebellions was formidable. Even with the superior numbers of the allied forces of the various Britannica kings, will they really win? Boudica took on the challenge as she drove her chariot into battle. The various kings of the allied forces numbered 200,000 while the imperial army numbered 10,000. However, the difference between the two forces in military strength was overwhelming and the rebel forces were expectedly defeated. Between Suetonius’ ingenuity that did not unexpectedly differ from the rumors and the Roman soldiers' previously undertaken advanced training of extremely meticulous combat behaviors, the army’s great cause was not enough for them to prevail and they were driven into defeat.

    Justice——

    Camulodunum, Londinium, Verulamium. Trampling over the three Roman settlements, did the divine protection of the goddess Andraste really gift violence and insults under the rebels' scorn and disdain while Boudica herself was scattering pain and fresh blood? Her daughters were exhaustively raped as much as possible, these little children begging for mercy in their thin voices while in tears. That very incident, expressed formerly through her voice and appearance, is what she thought of while on the verge of death. Justice. Maybe she have discovered that she may have already let go of what she truly wanted to protect.

    APPEARANCE Boudica has a voluptuous body and long, vibrant red hair. She has vibrant blue eyes, and wears a white corset with a red miniskirt and black thigh-high boots.

    Keys: Shikibu, Murasaki

    Murasaki Shikibu was a Japanese novelist, poet and lady-in-waiting at the Imperial court during the Heian period. She is best known as the author of The Tale of Genji, written in Japanese between about 1000 and 1012.

    A writer and poet in the Heian Period. The exact circumstances of her life is unknown.

    She has written works such as “The Tale of Genji”, “Lady Murasaki Collection” and “The Diary of Lady Murasaki”.

    Her poems are also selected for the “Later Collection of Gleanings of Japanese Poems” as well as subsequent poem anthologies.

    She was born to Fujiwara no Tametoki, a scholar in Han studies and a poet. With her lineage on her father’s side renowned for being academics (Her paternal great-grandfather, Fujiwara no Kanesuke, was not only active as a poet, but also penned chronicles and other works like both volumes of “The Chronicles of Prince Shōtoku”, (and was known by the moniker of ’The Riverside Middle Counselor’), it would be obvious how she would be raised to be acquainted to books and texts.

    Married to Fujiwara no Nobutaka – who was significantly older than her – in her twenties, she bore him a daughter, Kenshi (Kataiko), before he dies three years into their marriage.

    Kaoruko (Shikibu), who was thus widowed at a young age, started writing a story during the Autumn of that same year; namely ――― her opus “The Tale of Genji”, which spans 54 volumes in total.

    APPEARANCE Murasaki is gracious and eloquent woman in appearance, curvaceous with her large chest as the most prominent feature. From the little exposed skin, she appears to be rather pale.

    Matching her name, her eyes are deep purple. Her incredibly long hair is brown, and splits into multiple long strands that curl rather unnaturally. She has bangs over her forehead, and hairbands decorated with large blue orbs with a purple spiral, tie her hair into cute, ear-like buns.

    Her outfit is a beautiful gothic-style dress, the colors consisting mainly of black with blue and purple as complementary ones. The dress's skirt has a spiraled frill all around it. The torso is similar to a corset. The shoulder cloths are large and baggy, and the sleeves are large and open. The under-chest area is clad in the same material as that of the torso, while the over-chest is composed of a brown material. The dress goes up to her neck, and it possesses an ornamental amethyst over her sternum. On her hips are a blue ornament with a purple spiral, attaching long black and blue strips of cloth to her body. She wears a blue purse with a white diamond pattern tied around her waist by a string of beads. Murasaki holds a black umbrella with a blue underside with her right hand.

    PERSONALITY

    Murasaki attempts to portray an air of elegance, though she is quite clumsy. She deeply enjoys reading, especially books that were written outside of her native country and time. She resents the existence of digital books and prefers paper books. She also holds a fair amount of respect for fellow authors.

    The well-mannered “studious” type of woman. Well raised and of good judgement. Discreet. Loves reading. Also loves writing stories sparklingly with the elegance of love and poetry. Is methodical and keeps a diary (a quite realistic diary).

    Normally acts as a “librarian with a composed demeanor” but merrily bursts into poem when the subject becomes certain particular stories, particular books, particular feelings.

    Her favorite stories are The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter and The Tales of Ise.

    Keys: tree of emptiness, Lostbelt

    As opposed to the Proper Human History, the history of 'winners' born from correct choices and proper prosperities leading to the "present", the history of 'losers' born from the wrong choices and mistaken prosperity is cut off. Considered "unnecessary" and cut off from becoming even parallel worlds, this history which has hit a dead end is known as a Lostbelt. If one thinks of Human History as one long scroll, the Lostbelts are like another scroll entirely that was discarded once it was clear it was no longer useful.

    It is unknown how exactly that the timelines selected by the Fantasy Trees managed to exist until the present day, as they would have ceased to have exist entirely within a century of being designated for culling due to Quantum Time-Locks. Despite this, these Lostbelts are being wielded as weapons against the world of Proper History itself in an incident known as the Filtering Outsider Phenomenon. Ophelia Phamrsolone proposes the theory that the specific timelines that we see within the Alien God's Lostbelts are actually virtually simulated from their point of culling unto present day using the resources within the Tree; and then iterated without, unto the Tree's environs, the surrounding environment. This is abstractly akin to Emiya Shirou's Projections — rendering into the real world the product of a simulated history, then imposing that simulated history over the Proper Human History in the hopes of replacing it with the Lostbelt's version of history.

    The Fantasy Tree then selects a Lostbelt King, a powerful figure who is given the ability to direct the Tree's growth and spread, making the Lostbelt more stable and expanding its scope. The Fantasy Tree also begins gathering energy, which is used to prepare for the descent of the Alien God. The Alien God's true intentions for the Lostbelts as well as the Human Order Revision itself are currently unknown. Destroying the Fantasy Tree sustaining the Lostbelt will allow the culling process to resume, and a Holy Grail formed from the Fantasy Tree's remains can be collected. A Lostbelt without its Fantasy Tree can last no more than a few months (from its inhabitants' perspective- an outside observer will see it vanishing immediately) before the culling process is completed, at which point the Lostbelt and all of its surviving inhabitants will be erased from reality as if they never existed. It is unclear if erasing all the Lostbelts is enough on its own to undo the bleaching of the world, but it is likely to be a necessary step towards doing so.

    Meanwhile, the British Lostbelt reveals that the magical energy of a Lostbelt's Fantasy Tree can be used to turn the Lostbelt into a Singularity - a Fantasy into a Reality - through Rayshifting within the Lostbelt itself, with Morgan Le Fay on Proper Human History and the future of the Lostbelt to the version of her within the Lostbelt's past. Turning a Lostbelt into a Singularity requires the Fantasy Tree to wither and die, as as long as the Tree remains, nothing can be changed in a Lostbelt; any element added causes history to adjust in real-time, even if it isn't consistent. Only when the tree disappears can there be an opportunity for a fantasy to become reality if one can sustain the "world" afterwards, which she could sustain through the vast magical energy in her Summoner's Throne from her "existence tax" on the lifeforce of her fairies. If the original distortion of history, the origin point and foundation of the Lostbelt, is corrected - in this case, the original "Holy Sword" not being forged - then the Singularity will be resolved and eventually the Lostbelt's contents will never have existed without its Fantasy Tree to sustain it. Consequently, should this Singularity merge with Proper Human History, then its history would become part of Proper History - in this case, Proper History will lack the Concept of the "Holy Sword", Excalibur.

    Turning a Lostbelt into a Singularity changes the history of a Lostbelt and make it "real", a new history capable of comparing to Proper Human History with its "strength", becoming a "Lost World". Because they are as real as inhabitants from Proper History, some Lostbelt inhabitants are able to exit a Lostbelt and can emigrate to Proper History without disappearing. However, in the British Lostbelt's case, as the humans of the Lostbelt are not natural lifeforms and with no reproductive ability, and were created back when the Tree was still alive and history still a fantasy, they remain a fantasy that can only exist in the Lost World. Meanwhile, the fairies are real and can exist in Proper History, as they could be born after the Lostbelt became real. As the time before the Tree died is still considered a "fantasy", it allows for an amount of discrepancy, such as sending a Calamity or a person from Proper History back in time, as no matter how much the Fantasy history changes as a result, the beginning of the "real" history when the Tree dies is set in stone. Once the Tree withers, those time-travelled elements disappear as it contradicts the event of the real history, and inhabitants with memories of those contradictions will revert to the previous version of events without the time-displaced elements. However, if those elements do not make any contradictions in history until they reach the time when they were first sent back in time, they can avoid the paradox and prevent disappearing.Despite this, after history becomes "real", if someone from the Singularity recognizes an individual from the Lostbelt as something different to what "real" history says, or an individual from the Lostbelt remembers someone from the Singularity, then the individual from the Lostbelt will become someone who "should not exist" and be erased due to the paradox; memories of that individual will, however, remain.

    Following the attack on Chaldea in 2017, the bleaching of the world and the declaration of rebellion against the Proper Human History, with the threat of a regression into the Age of Gods and the recreation of the world, the survivors are forced to use an experimental method of navigating through Imaginary Number Space, through the Lostbelts, in order to resolve the incident.

    After all of the Lostbelts have been established, the Crypters seek to expand the "domain" of their own Lostbelts, which will eventually clash with the other Lostbelts. The one that is built by greater Human Foundation will end up overtaking the weaker one and use it as "nutrients". This process will allegedly continue, until only one Lostbelt is remaining.

    Koyanskaya describes the Proper Human History as "easy mode" and the Lostbelts as "hard mode", though the veracity of her statement has yet to be fully determined.

    Similar to the Human Order Foundation Values associated with the Singularities, the Lostbelts have an associated value known as a Lost Depth. Lost Depth is a rank to display how much the Human Order in a Lostbelt has deviated from that of the Proper Human History.

    Also known as King Arthur, the legendary King of Knights who governed over Britain. An “if” King Arthur who, after emerging as a king, made the Holy Lance his main armament instead of the holy sword and reigned over Britain.

    A Heroic Spirit of a “different possibility” from the normal Artoria. Although she has a human form, it is possible to say that she is no longer a Human Heroic Spirit. This version of her is a Heaven Heroic Spirit that personally returned her Holy Lance at Camlann Hill, returning it to the earth.

    While in the middle of reigning in the Holy City, the great enterprise called the Incineration of the Human Order is looming, so the “King of Knights” acted in order to save what’s most important, mankind; while she possesses the same appearance as “Goddess Rhongomyniad”, Artoria is essentially a different person.

    APPEARANCE

    Artoria's appearance is similar to those of Saber Artoria, but with more mature features. Due to being a grown up version, her figure is tall and curvaceous, clad in silver and blue armor, a cloak, and a helmet carved to resemble a lion's face with mane. She tied her hair in a bun, but her hair is notably longer than her younger counterpart. In her later ascensions, she wears a gold crown and removes her armor. Unlike the soulless Goddess Rhongomyniad, Lancer's emerald eyes are full of life, having never lost her heart like the Divine Spirit.

    There are various opinions about her physique or body weight when Artoria is a Lancer. Having lost her growth suspension caused by the holy sword, she grew to a physical age suitable for a king. She became an existence closer to a Divine Spirit’s because she is using the Holy Lance, but given that her usage period of the lance was merely about a decade, her mental/spiritual make-up has not changed in a big way. Her body, however, has changed significantly.

    PERSONALITY

    Due to the properties hidden within the Holy Lance, Artoria has changed into an existence close to that of a Divine Spirit’s, a goddess if anything. While she has become more composed, and moreover, more rational than the Artoria of the holy sword, her human nature has not been parted with. Rather, there exists placidity in her choices partly because she became an adult, attaining the ideal way a king ought to be.

    Artoria, who was summoned to Chaldea as a Servant, knows the beauty of the world. For the sake of taking back the world that shines even without the Farthest Ends, she will fight together with the Master, certainly wielding all the power that she holds.

    Magic Resistance (B Rank): Nullifies spells that have a chant of three verses or below. Receives almost no damage even against Great Magecrafts and Greater Rituals.

    Riding (A Rank): She is able to operate all vehicles and beasts freely except for Divine Beasts and Dragon Kinds. When she is a Lancer, Artoria is able to summon her horse "Dun Stallion", which is heavily reinforced by her own mana.

    Mana Burst (A Rank): A Skill that temporarily strengthens oneself by infusing their body and weapons with their magical energy. Although it is possible to tremendously raise one’s physical abilities, magical energy consumption is not very efficient.

    Charisma (B Rank): The natural talent to command an army. Artoria, who ruled over Britain even while it was exposed to foreign enemies and having entirely repelled those enemies, possesses a high charisma.

    Protection of the Ends of the World (EX Rank): Artoria, who possesses the Holy Lance that exists as an anchor to the planet, is receiving divine protection from the Farthest Ends itself.

    Rhongomyniad – The Lance That Shines At The End Of The Earth

    the Holy Lance of King Arthur. An anchor of storm that fastens the planet together. A Divine Construct armament. Rhongomyniad is regarded as the "spear of the end", the light of destruction coming down from the heavens, whose power is said to rival the Holy Sword.

    Its original power is restricted according to the Thirteen Restraints, and yet, it is the pillar of the Farthest Ends, shining to extol the brilliance of the planet────Because of the existence of the Thirteen Restraints that are supposedly endowed with the same processes of the “holy sword of the planet that saves the world”, it is barely in a state where it can take up a form as a Noble Phantasm. In order to perform the release of its True Name, there is a need to lift at least half of a total of Thirteen Restraints. By releasing the True Name without fulfilling this requirement, the Holy Lance will emit a fragment of the power of the light that shines in the far away. When releasing its complete True Name invocation, its Rank and classification changes.

    *Invisible Air – Barrier Of The Wind King

    It is a Bounded Field closer to magecraft than a Noble Phantasm that is made up of multiple layers of wind compressed into super-high pressure air with a massive amount of magical energy, which distorts the refraction of light and renders what is inside completely invisible.

    She can form the barrier in the area around her or as a quick defensive wall of wind, which she can keep active for a number of minutes with her magical energy. She uses it in Fate/hollow ataraxia to completely envelop the entire Central Building in an unbreakable protection, turning the whole building invisible except the front door. She releases it like an arrow to cover the body of her Yamaha V-Max motorcycle in Fate/Zero. Using the compression of the pneumatic umbrella surrounding her, she decreases the air resistance to zero to increase the vehicle's speed and keep the back wheel firmly against the cement with the pressure.

    It is rather simple in execution, but it proves tremendously effective in hand-to-hand combat. The barrier isn't a vacuum, so the air constantly whirling around the blade is essentially a weapon. It increases the damage and cutting power of an attack, and the amount of magical energy released from each strike is high enough that it is visible to the eye.

    Once the barrier is released, the previously compressed wind surges around her chaotically, creating a vacuum as it diffuses into the air with enough force to knock over normal people and shake heavy, firm trees like a typhoon. The compressed wind can also instead be released as a single use projectile weapon called Strike Air: Hammer of the Wind King. Acting like a hammer made out of wind, it creates a gale made out of super high pressure condensed air that is powerful enough to easily crush and blow away armies and fling a stone slab weighing several tons into the air as if it were nothing. It is a long range attack with a constant amount of damage that is not influenced by Saber's physical condition or her level of magical energy. It can only be blocked by overwhelming it with a higher amount of magical energy. It can also be used to accelerate her own body towards her opponent, allowing her to travel at three times her normal speed. By holding the sword in a backward wide stance, she releases the air and changes into a supersonic bullet that charges towards her opponent. If working together with another person, the partner can use the vacuum left behind by the attack to immediately rush in behind it by using the surge of air taken in by the vacuum as a Slipstream. After releasing it, she can recall it by compressing the surrounding air to reform the barrier.

    When Artoria manifests as a Saber, this Noble Phantasm was something that conceals her sword, but when she manifests as a Lancer (including the Altered version), Invisible Air is treated as nothing more than a “Wind Noble Phantasm”. Used together with the Mana Burst Skill, it brings about the reinforcement of her Agility and a super-jump boost effect. Using all the stockpiled wind at once to fire a long range, area of effect attack (Strike Air) that mows down the enemies is still possible. Differing from Saber's version of Strike Air that is more of a piercing type, Lancer's version will mow people down. She primarily uses this Noble Phantasm to augment her attack power.
