Integrated Physical Exam Physiological Strength: Excellent Combat Skill: Excellent Tactical Acumen: Normal Originium Arts Assimilation: Standard
Expertise & Hobbies Expertise 1: Natural Lore Natural Lore: Guide of the Wild Everything has meaning deep in the wilderness, be it a snowflake on the shoulder, or a gust of wind that lifts the hair. Expertise 2: Outdoors Survival Outdoors Survival: Law of the Icefields Even the most merciless icefields show mercy to the little huntress who respects the law of the wildlands. Hobbies 1: Lifestyle Lifestyle: Samifjod's Stew The stew is bubbling over the campfire. You'd never guess the ingredients she threw into the pot. Hobbies 2: Nature Nature: Wild Refuge Don't panic if you can't find her. She just felt tainted by the smell of steel and ferrium and chose to hide in the wilderness for the time being.
Appearance: A shortstack (Oppai loli/little girl with big boobs) Sarkaz girl with iris-colored hair reaching her hips, styled into twin-drills; purple eyes, large upwarding black horns, big breasts, and a very long serpentine tail featuring pointed scales. The scales are present only on her tail. A black headband adorned with two upward-pointing white triangles positioned toward her horns. This headband seems to integrate some useful devices, such as a flashlight. Outfit: A black-and-white themed off-shoulder black leotard, featuring a black hem section and detached sleeves. A small red bag and a lamp were hanging on her lower back. She wears gray over-the-knee socks and a pair of snow boots. Weapon: A massive black compound bow that stands taller than herself; blue energy patterns coalesce at the front of the bow when it is drawn.
Typhoeus is a huntress of the wilds from Rhodes Island, is curious about the world. She is eager to delve into uninhabited and unexplored places to uncover the forgotten past. On Talos-II, many legends of Sami have already faded, and only a handful of Samifjod still remember them. Typhoeus has resolved to visit them one by one, recording those shattered memories in her notebook. After arriving at Endfield, the stories she pursued were no longer confined to forgotten legends. She met many new friends and exchanged stories with people from across the land. And in pursuing those legends, she is also writing a story of her own. One day, when every page of her notebook has been filled, she will proclaim to the friends around her: "Legends aren't always too far off... They can happen right next to us."
Typhoeus, a reconvener from Rhodes Island. When speaking with Miss Typhoeus, the composure and steadiness she displayed far surpassed that of most adults, yet her insatiable curiosity and those ill-timed probing glances still betrayed a childlike nature. Typhoeus is driven by an intense desire to explore the unknown. She actively seeks out uninhabited and forgotten places to unearth the past. Her primary hobby is collecting faded legends, especially those of the Sami people on Talos-II, which she carefully records in her notebook. She views storytelling as a hunt, famously noting, "A good story is like a good hunter. Both aim straight for the heart." Having spent her life lurking in the woods and surviving harsh environments, her logic can sometimes be comically literal and blunt. She treats her allies with steady, grounded care. She is a reliable protector who prefers actions over empty words

- #1#World description
[Arknights: Endfield is a space opera-themed adventure that takes place on a new planet called Talos-II, a dangerous world rife with Catastrophes and risks. The planet's expansive wildlands and uninhabited areas stretching far beyond the colonies of the Habitable Band have yet to be discovered. gameplay mixes open world exploration and infrastructure construction, like Satisfactory and Death Stranding. As the Endministrator, player explores this untamed world with Endfield Industries operators to unravel mysteries hidden within abandoned ruins, as well as dealing with potential enemies (Landbreakers, Aggeloi) and anomalies (Blight). Arknights Endfield inherits the worldview of Arknights, but with its own setting, storyline, characters and factions. It takes place in the distant future (at Talosian Calendar year 152) of the main Arknights storyline (Consider the time required to transition Terra from conflict to peace, as well as the time needed to repair the Æthergate and conduct expeditions and colonizations, it can be assumed that the time gap between the two works is longer than that). Oripathy is no longer lethal, Originium-based technology is still used extensively on Talos-II. Most operators are from this era, but some operators known as "Reconveners" are from the Arknights timeline, which can be roughly understood as heroic spirits summoned from the Assimilated Universe of Originum.]

Talos-II:[One of the natural satellites/moons of Talos. Possesses a rocky structure and an atmosphere with enough oxygen to support life, with a supercontinent connecting both poles surrounded by a water ocean covering 40% of the moon and archipelagoes. A mostly uncharted resource-rich moon, but full of Catastrophe-like phenomenon known as the Blight and inhabited by aggressive rock-like construct creatures of unknown origins, Aggeloi (sing. Aggelos). Talos-II was once colonized by the "Predecessors", evident from their ruins scattered across the moon. The pioneers from Terra re-opened the Cosmic Gate and first stepped foot upon this moon 152 years ago. After the Cosmic Gate collapsed, the Terrans survived on Talos-II for well over a century. For generations, the stranded Terrans and their descendants built and expanded various outposts and towns across this new world, and created footholds for civilization. After the First Aggeloi War, the north of Talos-II was covered by Aurora, forming a Auroral Barrier to prevent passage.]
- #4Aggeloi
Keys: Ankhor, Squishes, angel, Aggelos, Buggeroid, Aggeloi, Aggagrit, angels, Ankhors, Buggeroids, halo
The Aggeloi (singular: Aggelos):[hostile, aggressive creatures of unknown origins appearing like self-aware constructs with a halo not unlike that possessed by the Sankta above their heads. Their relationship with Sankta remains unknown, but they already existed before humans set foot on Talos-II. They continuously spawn from mysterious structures known as Ankhors through catalytic construction. Aggeloi adapt to different conditions with corresponding arguments, and regard other intelligent lifeforms with extreme hostility. They are mainly found in the northern areas of Talos-II. There are 4 currently verified modes of Aggeloid behavior: (1) construction; (2) deconstruction; (3) mimicry; and (4) attacking humans / human-built objects. However, since the Ankhor-induced Aggeloi formation process resembles that of industrial production, it is uncertain if the Aggeloi can be classified as a living or biological lifeform. These "creatures" feel no pain and do not bleed, thus making them a difficult foe to vanquish. They were the major oppossing force during the Aggeloi War and have caused significant damage to Talosian infrastructure. Talosians tend to derogatively nickname them "Buggeroids". The variants found in Wuling, at least by the Qingbo Stockade, are called "Squishes" due to their aquatic origin instead.
Appearance and Types: Aggeloi construct their bodies using surrounding matter, so their appearance varies in different regions. They are only truly defeated when their halo disappears; otherwise, they may reassemble after a period of time.
-Valley IV Types: Ram, Heavy Ram, Sting, Heavy Sting, Falsewings, Walking Chrysopolis (Alpha), Effigy (Elite), Triaggelos (boss), Marble Aggelomoirai (boss) Appearance: Mostly with black stone bodies. "α" Variants (like Ram α) have a red glow and are generally more dangerous.
-Wuling Types: Mudflow, Hedron, Prism, Tidewalker (Elite) Appearance: mostly with blue aquatic bodies and may resemble slimes. "δ" variants (such as Hedron δ and Mudflow δ) are purple.
Trivia: Both Sankta and Aggeloi are sometimes referred to angels by other races, as they both have halos. They didn't seem offended by being called angels as well, as some Sankta call themselves "the Aggeloslaying Angels". Defeated Aggleoi may drop stone remains (Valley IV, known as Aggagrit) or liquid remains (Wuling, such as Resilient Water/Natural Sparkling Water, etc.). These remains are used as seasonings by the locals.]

Profile: The Endministrator of Endfield Industries. In the recorded history of Talos-II, the Endministrator stands as a key guardian who protected civilization on this planet and saved humanity from multiple catastrophic disasters. The Endmin's heroic deeds have given rise to many stories, tales, and even rumors. However, the Endmin's identity remains elusive and only a handful of people have seen the legend in person. Other factions within the Civilization Band are well aware that Endfield has a very special trump card in their hand, but that is all they know. The Endministrator's mysterious mastery over Originium and the Protocol Network, along with the Endmin's need for periodic long-term hibernation, is one of Endfield's most important secrets.
- #8AIC
Keys: Anchor Core, Anchor-Core, conveyor belt, Automated Industry Complex, conveyor belts, power generator, factory, P.A.C., PAC, power generators, A.I.C, factories, AIC
Automated Industry Complex:[ The AIC is one of the key technologies of Endfield Industries, and represents the successful miniaturization and modularization of industrial production machinery. A small team of professionals armed with the AIC technology can quickly deploy a fully functional automated production line. The earliest design principles of the AIC were already proposed even before the pioneers of Talos-II departed from Terra. The traditional approach involved moving entire City Plates to relocate production lines. In contrast, portable and modular processing facilities that can be deployed according to specific needs were regarded as the next stage in the advancement of Originium industries and production. This proposal was deemed extremely suitable for the environments of Talos-II. To convert theory into reality, Endfield committed vast amounts of R&D resources. Years of repeated testing, redesigns, and reiterations carried out at the joint Endfield-UWST Hub Base finally achieved a current build capable of satisfying most production requirements. The field deployment authority of the AIC is now granted to the Endministrator. It utilizes TP tech to rapidly deploy power generators, defensive towers, Satisfactory-like production and logistics facilities, and Death Stranding-like zip-lines. Protocol Anchor-Core: The Protocol Anchor-Core (PAC) is the heart of the Automated Industry Complex (AIC). The AIC factory is built around it. Every Endfield power grid facility in the region must ultimately link back to the PAC. Dijiang will use orbital airdrop to drop a Protocol Anchor-Core, in around 20s. After that, this core would teleport facilities and machines that need to be deployed to its locations. Non-factory structures (such as turrets, power transmission towers, or zip lines) can be deployed outside the PAC area.]
- #9Corruption/Blight
Keys: Corruption, Erosion, Blights, Zhangli, anomaly, Blight, distortion, BLIBI, supernatural, anomalous
Blight:[The Blight is a general term for describing hazardous subterranean, surface, atmospheric, and orbital phenomena of Talos-II. Such phenomena can be divided into two categories: (1) Active Blight and (2) Static Blight, of which Static Blight is often regarded as the residual remains left when an Active Blight episode has subsided. Classical cases of Active Blight, such as Blightfloods commonly seen on the surface or Blight Tides in bodies of water, tend to exhibit optical properties unique to the Blight often seen as fluorescent displays of strange colors. Such Blight phenomenon can inflict dissociative and/or inversive destruction of variable rates to any object it contacts or swallows. In other words, when Blight can deprive matter and/or time from the physical space it manifests in. This destruction can either be rapid and absolute or slow and slight. After a period of time (the shortest-lived Blight on record is 217 ms while the oldest Blight was active for over 149 years), Active Blight will slowly decay into Static Blight that resembles a layer of fluid asphalt covering the remains of the destruction wrought by Active Blight. Blight exerts unique effects on sentient lifeforms. Survivors of Blight events often report auditory and/or visual hallucinations, sudden episodes of stress, or other mental conditions even in the complete absence of Blight-induced brain injury (BLIBI). NOTE: Almost all cases of BLIBI fail to survive. Having gathered more than a century's worth of samples and data, we can now confirm Active Blight appears in places where Depth readings hit a positive number. Probability distribution of Active Blight incidence is typically a bell-shaped curve against an x-axis of Depth readings from 0 to 1.
In Wuling, Blight manifests in a form known as Zhangli. This region experiences frequent Ætherside activity, contributing to the persistent presence of Zhangli. To mitigate its effects, the Hongshan Academy of Sciences has strategically deployed an array of 120 Tianshi Pillars throughout Jinlong, serving as the primary means of purification and containment. Active Blight can be found in various places of Talos-II. They can block roads and impede exploration efforts. Active Blight masses must be eliminated for exploration to continue. Operators who touch Active Blight will suffer Blight effects. These operators will quickly reach their Blight tolerance limit and disconnect. Remove operators from Active Blight quickly to remove the Blight effects. Active Blight cannot be eliminated unless its Blight Core is exposed via suitable decryption. A decrypted and exposed Blight Core can be destroyed by attacks or explosives. Once the Blight Core is destroyed, the Active Blight created by it will disappear.
In some extremely rare cases (where Æther activities are most active or in the worst Blight-stricken areas, such as the North Wuling Exclusion Zone), Æther-replicated entity known as Blightshades may appear. ]

The Civilization Band:[is a region on Talos-II. As the center of human civilization on Talos-II, it serves as the cultural, economic, and technological heart of the moon, containing numerous cities, industrial hubs, and research institutions. On the northern edge of the Civilization Band lies the Northern Frontier, which includes frontier regions such as Valley IV. Past this frontier, the Order of Steel Oath maintains a continuous blockade, fortified by a string of fortresses, to contain the Aggeloi to the north and protect the Civilization Band. The Civilization Band designates the collective human societies operating under the framework of the Band Accord.

Band Accord:[ The Civilization Band designates the collective human societies operating under the framework of the Band Accord (hereinafter referred to as the Accord), adhering to its established statutes and regulations. The Civilization Band comprises various sized factions, coalitions, and organizations. Bound by Accord restrictions, it does not accept self-declared "nation-states" as members. Using the Accord as its foundational framework, it promotes technical specialization and autonomy among members, sustains humanity's basic survival on Talos-II, and strives for human self-actualization on this world. Individuals possessing Civilization Band recognized status who reside within territories administered by its constituent factions and organizations are designated "Band Residents". This group constitutes over 90% of Talos-II's total population.
The three largest factions within the Civilization Band are the United Workers' Syndicates of Talos-II (known as the UWST), the Talos-II General Chamber of Commerce (known as the TGCC), and the Affiliated Hongshan Academy of Sciences of Tianshi Bureau of Great Yan (known as the HAS). Under the Accord's framework, these three entities collectively hold the designation of "Unshakable Members of the Band Accord" (abbreviated as U3). They are widely recognized as the "Major Three" or the "Big Three".
Endfield Industries also stands as a significant member of the Civilization Band. For convenience and to maintain neutrality, Dijiang houses dedicated conference facilities where Band members conduct general discussions regarding Accord amendments and other collective matters.]
- #11Valley IV
Keys: Valley
Valley IV: [is a geographical region on Talos-II. It is a frontier region located along the fringes of the Civilization Band. Overview: When the Aggeloi War finally ended, humanity made plans to push the frontiers further across the world. The United Workers' Syndicates of Talos-II (UWST) directed its focus at Valley IV due to the rich mineral wealth of the region. With the support of Endfield Industries, the UWST began various construction projects in Valley IV. Following the completion of various quarries, mines, and production bases, the UWST began deploying research facilities to pursue energy-related R&D projects such as applied Originium technology and Originium cultivation in Valley IV. The UWST had high hopes and expectations for their Valley IV venture. However, a disastrous accident deprived Valley IV of its Great Originium Oak and the UWST became more conservative in future investments. Fortunately, Endfield has recently expanded the Hub Base Site in Valley IV for carrying out Techno-Protocol testing and production of Protocol facilities. In essence, Endfield investments kept the Valley IV economy afloat for the time being.

- #12Landbreakers
Keys: raider, gang, warbands, raiders, gangs, warband, Landbreaker
Landbreakers:[usually refer to groups of armed raiders in the fringes of society who make a living by robbery or other forms of criminal violence. The concept of Landbreaking is unique to Talos-II. The origins of the Landbreakers can be traced back to the 59th year after humanity arrived at Talos-II. A wildlands warlord named Jakub Meissen named his massive raider army the "Landbreakers". The former hero of the Aggeloi War occupied a large Originium cultivation site and founded the most dangerous raider organization in the history of Talos-II. As a warlord, Jakub has a rather permanent mark upon Talosian history. Though the first Landbreakers were completely defeated by the Civilization Band, people still use the term to describe organized groups of armed criminals that disregard the laws and order of civilization. When Jakub Meissen's criminal organization was destroyed by the Civilization Band, his legacy was inherited by three major clanns, namely the Bonekrushers, the Pack, and the Sandreavers. These clanns have different perspectives on their relationship with the Civilization Band. In addition to the three major clanns, numerous smaller Landbreaker clanns and warbands are also active throughout Talos-II.]

- #14Oripathy
Keys: infection, LORIT, infect, Oripathy, PORIPS, Infected
Oripathy:[was once a progressive, terminal "disease", caused by direct or prolonged exposure to Originium. Prior to the events of Arknights: Endfield, Oripathy is a dreaded disease with no known cure. Common methods at the time included suppressants like the ones made in Rhodes Island which helped slow the disease's progression. However, the condition itself remained terminal with a near-100% mortality rate. Such medication was also rare to come across and generally expensive. But on Talos-II, Oripathy is no longer a terminal condition. Nowadays, the effects of Oripathy have been greatly reduced thanks to the distribution of more effective suppressants. These suppressants can even remove the Originium shards that grow on skin. As long as patients regularly take their medication, they can avoid most of Oripathy's worse symptoms. Long-term Oripathy Treatment (LORIT) was well-received by the Talosians. Preventive Oripathy Shots (PORIPS) and therapeutic suppressants were also developed. The Infected were no longer stigmatized in Talosian towns and villages now that treatment became readily available. Though the situation looks hopeful, Originium-related issues and challenges continued to affect the new world.]
- #15Originium
Keys: Originium
Originium in Talos-II:[ "In the end, Originium was the only thing that remained, the last and most resilient link between humanity and their old home." ― "Remorse of the Tower" Rift description Originium is an energy-rich crystalline mineral. It is the basis of human civilization and survival in Talos-II.
Overview: Originium usually appears as a black, semi-transparent crystalline mineral tinted with amber hues. Originium is primarily used as an energy source due to its exceptional energy density. It can be combusted directly or refined to make other products for industrial use. Originium is also the basis of Originium Arts, allowing users to wield unimaginable powers of all sorts.[1] However, Originium is not without its dangers. When Originium particles are inhaled or enters the bloodstream, it will gradually assimilate with the blood and surrounding tissue. The process of assimilating with a living organism causes numerous side effects which are regarded as symptoms of a disease known as Oripathy. Furthermore, Originium assimilation may cause varying degrees of genetic mutation depending on the organism.
History and Development: Originium was introduced to Talos-II's ecosystem when the Terrans brought a fragment of one of the "First Originium" crystals with them through the Cosmic Gate. This crystal was used to spread Originium throughout the moon, ensuring the continued development of Originium-based industries. As technology became more advanced, scientists also developed a special technology known as CORD (Controlled Originium Distribution) that enabled them to cultivate Originium in specific areas. Despite this, the growth rate of Originium on Talos-II is nowhere close to Terra-levels of activity for unknown reasons. Efforts have been made to search for other potential sources of energy. Some scientists attempted to utilize carbon (fossil fuel), but soon discovered its energy output was nowhere near as efficient as Originium. Researchers at the Originium Science Park in Valley IV have even speculated about the possibility of creating artificial Catastrophes as a method to rapidly grow clusters of Originium. To achieve this, the Science Park has tried creating active Originium clouds in cultivation shafts and used virtual algorithms to run hundreds of Catastrophe simulations. Their research shows that creating Catastrophes on Talos-II is theoretically possible, but requires specific conditions. While the idea of artificial Catastrophes is not exactly a novel idea for Terrans, it was often for the purpose of intimidation and warfare. However, many Talosians have never witnessed the horrors of a real Catastrophe with their own eyes, which is why they dare to venture into such bold research.
Origins: A relatively recent discovery is that Originium is an artificial mineral designed by the Precursors as an information carrier. Anything that is assimilated by Originium will be saved as raw information inside a hyperdimensional space known as the Assimilated Universe, like uploading data into a secure drive. Information within this realm is static and normally cannot be altered in any shape or form. Originium is even capable of altering the course of biological evolution. The exact purpose behind these bizarre features of Originium is unclear to the Terrans. Under special circumstances, objects can exit the Assimilated Universe. The exact mechanism of this process is unclear, but Endfield has developed special technology that can "decrypt" the information contained inside Originium, allowing them to bring assimilated objects into realspace. This is most likely the key principle behind the AIC's Protocol Automation Core, which explains how it is able to store and transport vast amounts of material goods. This decryption technique isn't just limited to objects, but to living organisms as well, even people. A key example of this are the Reconveners, which refer to a group of Rhodes Island Operators who are born from data shards from the Assimilated Universe.

- #16Terra
Keys: sami, Terra, Stargate
Terra: [Terra is similar, if not identical, to Earth, including having an oxygen atmosphere, a more-or-less identical gravity and atmospheric pressure, carbon-based lifeforms, and identical climate. Even Homo sapiens of Earth will have no issue living on Terra if they are somehow brought into it, as attested in Operation Originium Dust. Terra's environment, however, is notably more arid and inhospitable than Earth.
Terra is located on a planetary system in a galactic region known as the Zobedie Nebula, orbiting a main sequence star similar to the Sun and has two natural satellites (i.e. moons) known as Twin Moons in various folklore. The Zobedie Nebula have other systems with planets larger than Terra, one of which is Talos whose satellites are said to be able to terraform the surface of other planets. Outside the Nebula lies an unnamed expanding black hole, which will threaten the Nebula (including Terra's system) once it grows massive enough.
Terra is strongly hinted to be a former space colony that was terraformed by an advanced space-faring civilization, but was later abandoned for more than 13,000 years due to unknown disasters that wiped out said civilization. As a matter of fact, Terra possesses many remnants of architectures built by the previous civilization. For example, one of the Twin Moons is said to be an artificial satellite. Another remnant of the previous civilization is an artificial "wall" that surrounds Terra's troposphere (exactly 6,152.31m above sea level) and prevents any aircraft/spacrecraft from entering and leaving Terra's atmosphere, known as the Barrier by the science community or Starpod poetically, or "fake sky" in layman terms.
Within Terra, there are also hidden threats that could easily wipe out its civilizations. To start with, the planet is filled with Catastrophes that forces much of the Terrans to adopt a nomadic way of life through nomadic cities. A crystalline substance known as Originium is left behind at the site of Catastrophes and is widely used as a source of energy and the catalyst for Originium Arts, but is capable of causing Oripathy through direct or prolonged exposure.
Located close to Terra's northern pole at the borders of Infy Icefield, lies the Stargate (also known as the Cosmic Gate or The Door). In the future of the Arknights main storyline, the Terrans will use it to enter Talos-II.]

The Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS):[commonly known as Hongshan, is a faction on Talos-II. Established in the aftermath of the First Aggeloi War by a team of Tianshis originally dispatched from Yan, Hongshan has evolved into a vast research institution specializing in agriculture and cutting-edge scientific research. -”Food security in the Civilization Band is almost single-handedly guaranteed by the HAS.“ Full name: Affiliated Hongshan Academy of Sciences of Tianshi Bureau of Great Yan Part of: Band Accord Type: Research Institution Capital: Hongshan City Predecessor: Yan Overview: The HAS is the largest and most professional integrated R&D campus of Talos-II. While the HAS continues to feed almost the entirety of the Civilization Band and enrich the bread baskets of the planet, the Academy also made rapid and tremendous progress in various fields of emerging sciences. The foundation of the HAS was laid down by a surveillance team from Yan dispatched to Talos-II. During the few short hours after the First Aggeloi War broke out, these Tianshis had the chance to return to Terra via the Cosmic Gate but they chose to stay and join the battle. This decision resulted in them being stranded on Talos-II with the other pioneers. Since these Tianshis treated themselves as representatives of the Tianshi Bureau, the Hongshan Crater discovered afterwards was bequeathed to these Tianshis to serve as the site of their new bureau. Since the Crater was extremely habitable, large scientific complexes and hydroponic facilities were built in this area. The region formally registered as the Hongshan Academy of Sciences days before the signing of the Band Accord. To date, the HAS continues to call itself an R&D institution of Yan and govern its territories as such. It has established specialized ministries for raising livestock and crops. Occasionally, the HAS would receive criticism for its extremely strict standards of admissions and chronic shortage of Tianshis. However, the HAS has always responded by repeating its compliance with the provisions of the Band Accord. Given such commitment to the quality, professionalism, and skills of its graduates, HAS scientists are very respected by the Talosians. ― "Hongshan Academy of Sciences", Nexus Files Locations: Hongshan City Wuling City: A key research base within the Wuling Scientific Developmental District, functioning as the region's sole major settlement.]

Humanity lost their lifeline to Terra when the Æthergate collapsed and the First Aggeloi War broke out. In the moment of despair against this sudden threat, human factions that included the UWST, HAS, and TGCC jointly initiated several research projects. OMV Dijiang was one of them. After a series of events, Endfield Industries became part of humanity's war effort. Many rare and non-renewable tech resources were used to construct Dijiang in Talosian orbit. This was a feat of technological marvel that could never be replicated. Dijiang is powered by a massive core of Protocol-Originium. The core is responsible for keeping the Master Protocol System operational and supporting various subsystems that include the Tele-Protocol (TP) and Automated Industry Complex (AIC). Jinlong (锦陇)is a geographical region on Talos-II. It is home to Wuling City, which serves as the capital of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences. It is a place with beautiful natural landscapes and wildlife, including bamboo forests, lotus ponds, cranes, etc. Jinlong is located in the third Severing Fault Zone (SFZ), a region where Ætherside activities remain frequent. The local Blight manifests in a form known as Zhangli. To mitigate its effects, an array of 120 Tianshi Pillars have been strategically deployed throughout the region, serving as the primary means of purification and containment. The Fenghou Array is considered one of the most remarkable sights of the region. These "sails", which float in the sky (an impressive application of Originium Arts) are capable of detecting faint breezes in the atmosphere and subtle geological changes deep underground. Such data is then utilized for meteorological predictions. The array can also monitor Æther and Blight fluctuations, playing a crucial role in preventing major disasters in Wuling for over a decade.
- #20Æthergate
Keys: Aethergate, Stargate, Star gate, Æthergate, Cosmic Gate, Aether gate
The Cosmic Gate:[ Other names: Aethergate, Stargate The Cosmic Gate is a massive portal linking Terra and Talos-II. Operational for only five years after humanity's first arrival on Talos-II, the Gate was lost during the opening hours of the First Aggeloi War in Year 5, severing all connection between the two worlds. Its current status remains unknown.
Cosmic Gates represent a classification of precursor transportation infrastructure whose operational principles remain only partially understood by contemporary science. On Terra, these structures were positioned at both the northern and southern extremities of the planet's major continents. Talos-II, by contrast, possesses only one confirmed Cosmic Gate, located at its northern polar region.
When discovered by humanity, both Cosmic Gates on Terra were found in states of severe damage. Through immense effort, researchers managed to restore the less-damaged northern structure, commonly called the "Sami Cosmic Gate". Exploration revealed it led to what was initially termed "subspace," though this has since been determined not to be a true Ætherside. After countless attempts and sacrifices, following the reactivation of the precursor celestial calculation and measurement device known as the "Celestial Fulcrum" within Terra's home star system, humanity finally identified the Cosmic Gate's paired counterpart. This breakthrough allowed the first steps onto the soil of Talos-II.
During the colonization of Talos-II, humanity exercised deliberate caution by refraining from any modifications to the planet's Cosmic Gate. This prudent approach meant no additional Cosmic Gates were discovered in the process. However, scientists across the Civilization Band widely maintain that other Cosmic Gates must exist within Talos-II's star system.
This vital passage between Terra and Talos-II remained operational for five years until the outbreak of the First Aggeloi War, when humanity lost access to the Talos-II Cosmic Gate. Today, the Talos-II Cosmic Gate lies shrouded beneath the Aurora of Talos-II, beyond the reach of human activity. Its current condition, along with the status of Terra on the other side, has become inaccessible to human knowledge.

- #21Aetherside
Keys: rifts, Æther, reading, fissure, immaterium, extradimensional, fissures, extradimension, readings, Warp, Aetherside, Aether, dimension, Subspace, rift, Ætherside
The Aetherside:[stylized as Ætherside, is an extradimensional space in the Arknights universe that overlapping with realspace on Talos-II. -Depth reading is a standard measurement index to numerically represent the degree of Aether influence. These readings are measured with a Confidence Interval, where the first number is the reading and the second number is the possible variation. For example, in Valley IV's Core AIC Area the reading is 0.1018 ± 0.0153. The range is usually between ±1. 1: Completely in AEtherside. 0: Completely in realspace. -1: In a realm other than the above two, such as the Protocol Space.
Overview The Ætherside is an overarching term for describing areas where Depth reading is at 1 in subterranean, surface, atmospheric, and orbital regions of Talos-II. Given the time scale of Talos-II, the Ætherside is currently overlapping with realspace. Flow of matter and energy between the two dimensions has been verified as a feasible possibility. In Talos-II, the barrier between the realspace and Ætherside may sometimes rupture to create an inter-spatial conduit (and in rare occasions, disrupt the very time scale itself) colloquially referred to as the "rift". Depth readings near rifts typically approach 0.5, which also means that Active Blight has a higher probability of occurring at these places. Cultivating Originium or deploying activated Originium can effectively reduce depth readings in surrounding areas, thereby helping contain breaches in Æthersides to some extent. However, this effect lacks consistent patterns. At times, Originium activity may instead be suppressed by rifts. In regions with active Ætherside phenomena, facility and machinery reliant on Originium Arts often experience significant operational interference. The consequences of matter transitioning from reality into Æthersides are random and unpredictable. What remains certain is that all biological processes essential to sustaining life experience severe disruption and obstruction within these domains. Conversely, when matter emerges from Æthersides back into realspace, it generates Active Blight in realspace. Consequently, matter exchange experiments between realspace and Æthersides face strict restrictions under the Band Accord, with the vast majority of related live-subject testing explicitly prohibited. Unlike physical matter, energy flows unidirectionally from Æthersides into realspace through potential energy conversion. This phenomenon occurs even in the absence of rifts, making related studies a primary focus in the field of Ætherside utilization. However, when this energy flow exceeds certain thresholds, it frequently triggers random and uncontrollable explosions. Humanity's comprehension of Æthersides remains profoundly limited, particularly since distinguishing them from known subspace. The prevailing hypothesis suggests Æthersides constitute a separate universe, one quietly undergoing heat death while saturated with lethal toxins. Subspace, in this framework, would serve as the membrane separating Æthersides from realspace. Yet such theories currently lack substantiation through mathematical models or experimental observation. ― "Ætherside", Nexus Files]

"The Cabal of Tranquility is a technology research organization on Talos-II dispatched by Laterano. They are currently focused on studying the Precursors' legacies." ― Talos-II Knowledge The Cabal of Tranquility is a technocratic organization on Talos-II that inherited aspects of the Lateran faith. For more than a century, its clerics have devoted themselves to restoring Terran technologies lost during the First Aggeloi War, excavating Precursor ruins across Talos-II, and providing spiritual guidance to the people of the Civilization Band. The Cabal's current headquarters is the Monasterium, a nomadic city also known as the Great Monastery. The first encounter between the Cabal and the Aggeloi of Talos-II has raised theological questions that the Lateran faith was not prepared to face, particularly regarding the halos borne by the Aggeloi, which clash with the long-held understanding that the halo is the Law's exclusive gift to the Sankta. The relationship between the Law and the Aggeloi is one of the primary subjects the Cabal seeks to interpret.
Overview The Cabal of Tranquility primarily studies the remnants of the ancient Precursor civilization, including the the Law. They also show a profound reverence for a concept known as Veritas (Latin for "truth"). The Cabal maintains a close relationship with Endfield Industries, jointly carrying out Originium Information Technology research projects. Despite past tensions with the Sarkaz dating back to the Age of Terra, the Cabal has entrusted the Sarkaz with relics once wielded by Laterano's Gun-Knights. The Cabal's headquarters is located on a large nomadic city known as the Monasterium, otherwise called the Great Monastery. In the city is also a building known as the Cathedralis. Although the Cathedralis is a holy place to study, pray, and reflect, and resolve conflict, it is implied that the building also has automated self-defense capabilities.
The Cabal consists of 3 distinct branches, each one having different responsibilities: -Sessionites: Knowledge seekers who study computation and linguistic analysis. -Resurgonites: Armed zealots who roam Talos-II in search of ancient Precursor ruins. -Veritarites: Devoted preachers who focus on the matters of the heart and soul, guiding the lost and offering prayers.
Notable people Xaihi Vronta: An Abbess known as "The Knower of Veritas". Listed as Xaihi's approver in her formal employment contract with Endfield Industries.
Trivia: The symbol on Xaihi's clothing resembles a looped square (⌘), notable for being the command-key symbol on Apple computer keyboards. The concept of this faction may be inspired by Adeptus Mechanicus from Warhammer 40k.]

Keys: Tele-Protocol, PROTORIG, Teleportation, Protocol-Originium, TP, Protosync, Protocol, Teleport
Protocol-Originium:[(PROTORIG) is one of the core technological marvels achieved by Endfield Industries, different than normal Originium. A network of PROTORIG crystals was used to establish a tele-protocol network. Transferring personnel and materials between two locations across great distances is no longer science fiction nor dependent on legacy tech such as the Æthergate. The OMV Dijiang, Endfield's headquarters, is powered by a massive core of Protocol-Originium. The core is responsible for keeping the Master Protocol System operational and supporting various subsystems that include the Tele-Protocol (TP) and Automated Industry Complex (AIC). Shortly after arriving at Talos-II, many scientific research teams noticed the interactions between Originium and Æther energy and how the said interactions affected physical phenomenon and spatial continuity. Led by the Endministrator, Endfield carried out extensive research on this phenomenon, created the special Protocol-Originium (PROTORIG), and identified a means of utilizing multiple PROTORIG to create a tele-protocol (TP) network. However, the TP technology received little attention when first released as its PROTORIG system uses the extremely hazardous Æther and a single trip can only move a very limited number of personnel and resources. The breaking out of the First Aggeloi War changed everything. The use of both the PROTORIG and the TP network was validated in the brutal fields of battle and secured humanity's survival.
Protosync: Specialist Tech Division operators of Endfield each has a special PROTORIG bracelet on their wrist, known as Protocol Synchronizer, allowing them to access the TP network. Protosync has integrated various functions useful for exploration, examples include map, communication, inventory management, scanning, AIC deployment, teleportation, etc. It interacts via holoprojection interface.]

Keys: Commerce, T.G.C.C., conglomerate, TGCC
The Talos-II General Chamber of Commerce:[often abbreviated as TGCC, is a faction on Talos-II Type: Corporate Conglomerate Capital: Talos City The TGCC is the most influential corporate conglomerate of Talos-II. TGCC members cover every sector of manufacturing and services, ranging from leading arms manufacturers from the Age of Terra to food catering franchises with stores deep in the frontier. During the First Aggeloi War, the TGCC was in charge of maintaining the Talos-Terra lifeline. Now that the war has ended, truck convoys stranded in the alien world continued to roar across the roads, making commercial economies, messenger-based courier services, and modern lifestyles possible in Talos-II. With hands tightly gripped around the steering wheel, the truckers cruised across the lands with headlights blazing, carrying containers filled with supplies and resources to link the growing camps, villages, and towns upon the new world. Though the industrial giants of Old Terra remain a dominant force, the truckers who earned the trust and respect of the Talosians during the war became masters of their own destiny. And thus they transformed into the Conductors steering the great wheel of the TGCC. To date, the upper echelons of the TGCC prefer to call themselves the shadow investors and proprietors of the Civilization Band. They love the quarterly financial reports and annual meetings with their shareholders as well as the splendorous beauty of the great cosmopolis. TGCC leaders believe the Practice they codified is sufficient in defining the present and future of Talos-II. Such confidence was essential for helping humanity endure their darkest hour, but people often forget how addictive it could be.]

The Order of Steel Oath:[ "The Order of Steel Oath is a military organization wholly devoted to defending humanity against the Aggeloid threat." ― Talos-II Knowledge Type: Knight Order Status: Active The Order of Steel Oath is a faction on Talos-II. Situated year-round on the northern frontier, the Order is a military organization primarily dedicated to defending human civilization against the Aggeloi. It maintains a series of formidable fortresses and battlecarriers along the auroral north, serving as the first line of defense against any Aggeloid incursions. Their knights are known as Oathkeepers. Fort Forgefane is one such fortress belonging to the Order and is also an arms manufacturer and supplier that forges weaponry and armor for its knights. The Order is further divided into units called Banners and even smaller units called Cohorts. The assault banner often carry out Ankhor-busting missions, and is often nicknamed the "Nail" by fellow Oathkeepers. They would pierce through the defenses, hit the mark, survive the encirclement, and wait for the main hammering strike to silence the Ankhor permanently. The Shieldguard's roles include defensive formations, pushing battle lines, and providing frontline support. The United Workers' Syndicates of Talos-II, commonly abbreviated as UWST, is a faction on Talos-II.[ Type: Workers' Syndicates Capital: Mat' Gorodov Predecessor: Ursus Military: UWST Security Bureau
Overview: The UWST is the largest union of self-governing worker syndicates of Talos-II. It believes in the guiding law where quantitative change will transform into qualitative change. The UWST is the manufacturer of most industrial and mining machinery, facilities, and tools used in Talos-II. It is also the undisputed leader of raw materials and resource production in the new world. The history of the UWST dates back to the Age of Terra. UWST crew mates actively participated in the pioneering of Talos-II and were the very first organization to reach the new world. Detailed and professional work planning as well as the brutish yet extremely powerful fleets of machinery of the UWST were essential and instrumental during the Early Phase Expansions across Talos-II and the Rebuilding after the First Aggeloi War. The UWST today seems hampered by its ever-growing and increasingly inflexible organization, but they continue to cling to the UW spirit. The massive Syndicates is synonymous with humanity's "construction" and "expansion" efforts. With the support of precision logistics from the TGCC and powerful new technologies provided by the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS), the UWST continues to churn out one forward base after another from the gargantuan yards of their industrial capital - Mat' Gorodov. After all, the UWST is the engine that drives the expansion of the human frontier.
Noteworthy locations: Mat' Gorodov: The industrial capital of the UWST. Industrial Mothership: Also known as Simonch, the largest city of the UWST. Originally a Terran nomadic city that sank in a lake, it was later salvaged by the Ursus Empire and brought to Talos-II as an exclave.

Talos City is the name of the largest city and metropolis on Talos-II. Constructed by the Big Three signatories of the Band Accord following the Humiliation War. The city has been under construction for over a century and remains incomplete. According to Gilberta (Angelina), Talos City is a "huge cosmopolis of silvery avenues, marble white arches, and skyscrapers of all sorts of blue and golden hues". It is also stated that the UWST Headquarters, the Corporate Capital of the TGCC, the Representative Central of Endfield Industries, and the Hall of the Office of Messengers are located in Talos City.
- #30Wuling
Keys: Wu ling, Wuling
Wuling:[ The Wuling Scientific Developmental District is a geographical region on Talos-II, serving as the focal area for the Blight control initiatives of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences.
Geography The Wuling region is a lush area with dense bamboo forests and clean rivers. The region is home to various kinds of unique flora and fauna such as pantailbeasts and grovenymphs. The people of Wuling have been careful not to disrupt the natural enviornment while planning their transportation systems. This is demonstrated in the lack of artificial structures in Jingyu Valley, leaving wild animal lairs untouched.
Beneath the tranquil rivers lies the largest documented Blight rift on Talos-II, known officially as the Wuling Very Large Rift (Wuling VLR). The rift is a deep geological rupture that spans the entire territory, representing the largest documented Æther rift within known Band boundaries. Blight spreading from the rift's epicenter transforms natural groundwater into liquid Blight, which periodically surges to the surface like waves, leading people to call such events as Blight Tide. The contamination zone continues expanding outward, demonstrating persistent territorial advancement over time.
History Foundation The earliest known settlement in Wuling is Qingbo Stockade, located along the riverside. Folk historians believe that the foundation of Qingbo Stockade occurred some time during the Humiliation War, long predating Wuling City. The war caused many people to lose hope in the future of the Civilization Band, so several pioneers of Yan chose to move away from Hongshan. Within the mountains, they discovered a source of clear water that was not contaminated by the Blight and decided to permanently settle there. The Tianshi used a Yanese irrigation machine to ensure that the water would remain Blight-free.
Wuling Science Station In the year 132 of the Talosian calendar, the Tianshi of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS) worked together with Endfield Industries to prepare their Fourth Scientific Survey for Expansion. The Tianshi arrived and constructed a Science Station to monitor the giant rift located in the region. Initially staffed by just 113 Tianshi and laborers, the Station gradually expanded to accommodate over a thousand residents. The Science Station was named Wuling; Wu stands for "the pacifying force of martial might", while Ling stands for "the riparian ridge denying the Blight." Wuling subsequently became the official name of the region. The HAS researchers at the Science Station poured all their resources into creating something that could potentially eliminate the Blight for good. By combining Originium technologies and knowledge about the Feranmut Sui, the Tianshi successfully created Xiranite in Talosian Year 140. Two years later, in Year 142, the Tianshi at Wuling Science Station attempted to sever the connection between the central rift and its branch systems using Xiranite, hoping to contain the fissure's expansion. "Parting lasts an eternity, and Wuling is the final mark they left behind." Initially, the experiment appears to have succeeded, as the Rift stopped expanding. However, all Blight matter near the rift started "accumulating" and a secondary rupture suddenly burst forth. Both the science station and prototype Xiranite facilities were completely consumed by the Blight Tide. HAS had invested its entire SAR capacity but failed to extricate any of the scientists trapped within the facility. The remaining Tianshi promptly sealed off the disaster site, now known as the North Wuling Exclusion Zone, which has since been constantly guarded by the Yinglung Special Task Force. Later that same year, a tragedy occurred when people from Qingbo Stockade attempted to rob a Wuling supply caravan. Trying to use the bad weather and poor visibility for their advantage, they made a grave mistake. Tianshi used their Arts in defence, not knowing who attacked them. The raid ended in multiple casualties with one of them was previous leader of Stockaders—Ruan Yi's father. After the incident, relations between Qingbo Stockade and Wuling City worsened, and the two factions been in open conflict ever since.
Wuling City "In the blink of an eye, the Science Station had birthed a city." Following the disaster, one of the surviving Tianshi named Zhuang Fangyi took charge in rebuilding Wuling. Under her leadership, the people of Wuling continued the development of Xiranite, inventing advanced hydraulic control systems, and constructed new homes for themselves. Tianshi Zhuang Fangyi led the Novel Xiranite-Based Materials Project, which included development of the Xiranite Nexus, an experimental device which could unleash sudden emissions of Xiranite energy that react with Æther energy to seal the Rift. However, after multiple rounds of iterations that failed to deliver the desired results, its development was temporarily suspended. HAS shifted their strategy from trying to forcibly close the Wuling VLR through Xiranite concentration to targeted Blight Tide containment. In Year 143, the HAS successfully deployed Wuling's first and largest experimental Tianshi Pillar, known as the Marker Stone. The Marker Stone subsequently became the core of the Xiranite Dam that stretches across Wuling. In order to mitigate the threat of the Blight Tide, the Tianshi Pillar Array was constructed along the edge of the city. The pillars continuously disperse Xiranite particles into the atmosphere and water systems to prevent them from being transformed into liquid Blight. The array can also block the coming of Blight Tides and automatically eliminate Aggeloi threats. Multiple Tianshi Pillars were also placed in strategic locations across Wuling. Furthermore, a monitoring station was constructed on the outskirts of the city to monitor Blight activity and depth readings. Thanks to years of hard effort, Wuling City is now both a thriving residential zone and a core scientific research district.
Present Day: A new crisis arose in Talosian Calendar Year 152, when the Bonekrushers began to infiltrate the Wuling region under the command of their leader, Nefarith. Support from Endfield Industries helped alleviate the crisis caused by limited Xiranite production yields. Xiranite Nexus development was then restarted to seek a permanent solution for the threat posed by the Wuling VLR.

Overview: The Hannabit Circuit is a group of nomads who roam across the wilderness in their journey to co-exist with Talos-II. They never stop travelling, helping anyone they come across and spreading their wisdom in the form of hanna songs. The Circuit teaches people to avoid disasters, how to farm crops, and learn from the nature around them. They make the most of the materials they find, crafting tools with a unique minimalist aesthetic that are no less effective than weapons made with modern manufacturing. The story of the Hannabit Circuit began with a dying nomad who sang her last words. They were a mere three lines, and is considered the first ever hanna of the Circuit. The Songseekers weave themselves and others into the verses they sing and let their influence spread far and wide. Songseekers are divided into two categories: the Echolings and the Aldertones. Echolings are young, less-experienced Songseekers, who are taught to memorize the hannas sung across the Circuit. Meanwhile, Aldertones are revered veterans who are responsible for leading and educating their tribes. Every Songseeker is their own master, and must learn to sing their own hannas.
Notable people: Arclight (female Kuranta, Endfield Operator) Orisha: An experienced Aldertone and Arclight's mentor, who recommended her to join Endfield Industries. Trivia: During the second beta test, the Hannabit Circuit was originally called Fiannæ Circuit. "Fiannæ" may have been inspired by the Gaelic word fiann (plural fianna), which historically referred to bands of warrior-hunters and is central to Irish mythology. Additionally, the traditions of the Circuit may be based on the Fianna Cycle (or Fenian Cycle), a body of early Irish literature focusing on the exploits of the mythical hero Finn or Fionn mac Cumhaill and his warrior band the Fianna.]

Reconveners:[ The First Originium crystal that traversed the Æthergate to arrive at Talos-II was contaminated in the final battle of the First Aggeloi War. The very fundamental nature of the info-crystal was damaged, causing degradation in its properties. Despite the contamination, several intact data shards remained within the chaos of its Assimilated Universe. Should anyone wish to navigate the corrupted data streams within, these shards can be perceived as a never-extinguishing beacon of blinding light. To achieve various objectives, both the Endministrator and M3 tacitly allowed Warfarin (the leader of Rhodes Island at that time), to conduct emergency repairs and decontamination of the First Originium. For reasons unknown, the reversing nature of Æther was greatly slowed near the data vein. When Warfarin deciphered this data vein, Depth readings of a data shard underwent a spontaneous spike as it decrypted from the Assimilated Universe into realspace. The first Reconvener arrived by accident and without the Endministrator's knowledge. Warfarin was also unprepared for the arrival. Thus far, every Reconvener who left the Originium Woods has been friendly and willing to work with Rhodes Island and the Endministrator. All of them also seem capable of realizing that they are a unique individual, despite sharing partial knowledge of the life experiences and interpersonal relationships stemming with "distant" memories of Terra. Such knowledge also allows Reconveners to use skills and abilities wielded by their original counterparts. Warfarin later found a way to commune with the data shards. Despite the concerns of others aware of their existence, she began to actively explore the Originium Woods. Warfarin encountered data shards willing to set foot on Talos-II, and thus she designed a process to better lead them out of the Woods and enter the new world. Many Reconveners arrived at Talos-II while the Endministrator hibernated. The Reconveners began exploring the world and seeking their own destinies, and they did so with the goal of assisting the Endministrator in mind. Leading Reconveners out of the Woods is essentially an act of creation. Warfarin bore the responsibilities for her actions though she would occasionally vent out her frustrations to Endfielders who knew of this project. After every stress-fueled episode, she would remind everyone how years* of extensive experience taught her that everything was worth its while. *NOTE: The years of extensive experience Warfarin claims to have are subject to change, with the figure being 500 years a century ago, 300 years half a century ago, and dropping to 20 years in her most recent claims. ― "Reconveners", Nexus Files Trivia: Reconveners typically do not possess Oripathy, regardless of their infection status in their past lives. Fort Forgefane:[“Ember also told me how the Order of Steel Oath operate their own firearms manufactories in the north. She also said that Peco 5 was "comparable" to the standard issues produced by Fort Forgefane.” —Endfield arsenal engineer Peco Fort Forgefane is a fortress belonging to the Order of Steel Oath. It is also an arms manufacturer and supplier that forges weaponry and armor for its knights. Products: Weapons: Never Rest - A weapon from the furnaces of Fort Forgefane. Though it has undergone multiple rounds of recasting, the subsumed edge is still imbued with an intimidating force of domination. White Night Nova - One of the weapons made by Fort Forgefane. The grip was constructed using a special rod drawing process to enhance force damping and grip. The blade itself was forged with a rare glaciolithic mineral quarried from the wildlands. Glorious Memory - One of the weapons forged by Fort Forgefane. This fine and elegant piece is often used by Order of Steel Oath during ceremonies instead of frontline combat. Nevertheless, the blade has undergone multiple rounds of polishing and sports a razor sharp edge. Fortmaker - One of the weapons made by Fort Forgefane. The sword features traditional architecture that made it extremely durable and sturdy. The thick, heavy blade left countless scars upon the permafrost as the frontlines shifted with the times. Quencher - A standard greatsword made by Fort Forgefane. Although very few have mastered this weapon, the weapon is easy to wield and has been the most popular choice amongst raw recruits for many years. Aggeloslayer - A standard-issue lance made by Fort Forgefane to arm the common soldiery. Furnished with an extremely sharp tip specifically designed for fighting the Aggeloi. Long Road - A standard-issue revolver made by Fort Forgefane to arm the common soldiery. This weapon was extremely popular due to its simplified artslock mechanism and incredible stopping power.]

Their combat suits also emphasize style (see Last Rite). Products: Weapons: Forgeborn Scathe - One of the razor-edged weaponry forged by Witching Hour. Special smelting processes resulted in a wholly red blade. The Arts Unit is actually a special liquefied Originium that resembles a tear of blood shed from a forge. Khravengger - A strange weapon released by Witching Hour. The blade body is chiseled out of an ordinary-looking block of ice, but its surface is infused with a special form of Originium Arts that made it literally indestructible. Sundered Prince - A special limited-release weapon from the Witching Hour. The appearance of the greatsword is probably based on an ancient legend. It seems capable of ripping wails of anguish out of the realm of dreams. Oblivion - One of the Arts units developed by Witching Hour. With the exception of its basic Originium circuitries, the rest of the unit was constructed using an unknown material. Can this really be built in Talos-II? Stanza of Memorials - One of the strange-looking Arts units released by Witching Hour. Its counter-intuitive designs include a deliberately reduced Originium Arts compatibility just to highlight the dark logic of Ancient Teekaz witchcraft.]

Collapsal:[Collapsals are malevolent extradimensional entities native to the world of Arknights, originating from dimensional cracks like Stargates, particularly in the frigid northern Infy Icefield bordering Sami and the southern Foehn Hotlands. They are also referred to as Andskotarnir ("devils" or "enemies") by the Sami people and represent a collective term encompassing both these otherworldly beings and any lifeforms or objects overtaken by their corrupting influence.
Other names: Demons Hollows Wicked Spirits Poltergeists Andskotarnir Based on: Outer Gods in the Cthulhu Mythos
Status
Considering that the earliest inhabitants of Talos-II came from the Cosmic Gate of Terra, this means they at least resolved or expelled the Collapsal threat before activating that Gate. Laevatain (the Reconvener of the Surtr) mentions she will resolve "demon-related assignments," but it's currently unclear whether this stems from her past life memories or indicates that Collapsals actually exist in Talos-II. The following information is from the Arknights era. These knowledge may change in later eras.
Origins and Nature
Their exact origins are shrouded in mystery but are believed to stem from an ancient, malfunctioning Ancestor portal near Terra's northern pole—a relic of sub-space travel gone wrong—or as vanguards of a larger extradimensional invasion. Collapsals are eldritch horrors with grotesque forms: black, foggy, amorphous bodies adorned with limb- and eye-like structures, capable of reality-warping, space-time manipulation, and psychic phenomena. They function as infohazards, growing stronger when perceived or known, which is why Terran nations strictly suppress public knowledge, limiting awareness to elite authorities. Signs of their presence include rootless blooming flowers (which anchor and pollute areas), pitch-black snow or fog, "Frozen Claws" resembling human hands, phantom apparitions, and unphotographable voids.
Effects and Corruption
Exposure to Collapsals causes severe physical and mental corrosion: victims develop black patches, hollowed-out bodies lacking organs, oozing black blood (or snow/fog from stronger ones), convulsive movements, and faces like light-absorbing black holes. They prey via mind control, hallucinations, and blizzards of mirages, inducing "Collapsal Paradigms"—distortions like warped cognition (e.g., loss of language/math), physical anomalies (e.g., altered distances), or spontaneous outbreaks of their "Dominion" corruption. Fully corrupted beings become hyper-aggressive, undead-like puppets that spread pollution on contact.
Relation to Regions and Defenses
Primarily emerging in Sami's tundra, Collapsals have been combated by Snowpriests (ritually born warriors) for generations. Ursus counters them with Wendigo armies and Emperor's Blades (warriors forged from Collapsal shards, contained in suits). A millennium ago, the Nightzmoran Khagan's conquest expelled them from the southern Hotlands. Other nations like Yan (Tianshi and Yumen barriers) and Sargon (undying Zhayedans) maintain ancient fortifications at Terra's borders.
Key Lore and Trivia
- Nations like Columbia study them experimentally but risk catastrophic "meltdowns."
- "Poltergeist King": The "leader" or host of the Collapsals that came from the Stargate in the Foehn Hotlands, was slain by Lugalszargus with the "Sighs of Kings" during his conquest of the Hotlands alongside Kharanduu Khagan.
- Weapons like Typhon's arrows harness restrained Collapsal fragments.
- Inspired by Cthulhu Mythos Outer Gods and Warhammer Chaos Daemons (gaining power from knowledge/fear).
- Chinese term "坍缩体" evokes black hole gravitational collapse.]

Nachzehrers are one of the pureblood Sarkaz tribes that compose the "Ten Kings' Court", represented by the Withered Court. Like the Wendigos, they practice "cannibalism" and are capable of absorbing the abilities and memories of anyone they consume. After their bodies have reached a critical state of decay, Nachzehrers can also use their bodies to feed their weaker kin, in exchange of increased speed, strength, and power. They are also proficient in Originium Arts that inflicts necrosis (i.e. decay/wither/rot) to living organisms. The longer their enemies stay close to them, the faster they wither and become nutrients for the Nachzehrers. Due to their reputation as devoted, yet gruesome and relentless warriors, Nachzehrers are often described as being the personification of war.]

"Seš'qa is the organization representing the Sarkaz of Talos-II. They have a special flying base." ― Talos-II Knowledge
Seš'qa, meaning "The Stop" in the language of the Sarkaz, is a floating city in Talos-II. Built as the home of the Sarkaz on Talos-II, it serves as the principal organization representing Sarkaz interests in the Civilization Band and as the primary representative of Sarkaz cultural traditions within it.
After the outbreak of the First Aggeloi War, the Sarkaz of Kazdel have fought in nearly every major conflict on Talos-II. The Snowpriests of Sami subsequently gifted the Sarkaz a fang from the fallen Feranmut. Using their witchcraft, the Sarkaz converted the fang into a floating anchor, and built a floating city around it. After the war, many Sarkaz moved away from their traditional isolationism and chose to integrate with the Civilization Band.
While Seš'qa retains its function as a massive military airship, it now also operates as a window onto Sarkaz culture for the wider Civilization Band. The city houses a theme park, a theater, and a bazaar open to outside visitors, and is the headquarters of the witchcraft brand Witching Hour. During its Open Days, Seš'qa functions as a tourist destination featuring festivals, shops, and attractions such as the "Parade of the Royal Courts" and the "Errant's Grand Adventure." Outside of these periods, it continues to serve as a traveling base for Sarkaz mercenaries, witch-crafters, and merchants who connect and support Sarkaz communities across Talos-II, with Seš'qamam armed escorts and caravans operating from the city.
Overview Seš'qa means "The Stop" in the language of the Sarkaz. The Sarkaz built Seš'qa as their home on Talos-II, and it also serves as the organization representing their interests in this world. Ever since the outbreak of the First Aggeloi War, the Sarkaz of Kazdel have fought in nearly every major conflict in Talos-II. The Snowpriest of Sami thus gifted the Sarkaz a fang from the fallen Feranmut, perhaps as a token of gratitude, or to uphold a new prophecy revealed by the Foldartals. With their witchcraft, the Sarkaz converted the Feranmut fang into a floating anchor, much like the "Lifebone" of the past. Around this anchor, they built a floating city named Seš'qa — far smaller than the free cities of TGCC and the steel citadels of UWST. "The Stop" proved a fitting name for this Sarkazian community.
After the war ended, many of the Sarkaz walked away from their traditional isolationism and chose to become part of the Civilization Band. Seš'qa did not oppose the trend. Instead, they became brand managers, opinion leaders, and mediators and eagerly offered their services for the Civilization Band. Though the floating city has retained its functions as a massive military airship, it is also a window. The city contains a theme park, a theater, and a bazaar open to the entire Civilization Band. It is also the headquarters of the famous brand — Witching Hour. Skilled witch-crafters and mercenaries remain the most famous trades of Seš'qa, but these no longer define the stereotypes of the Sarkazian people.
War is no longer the constant companion of the Sarkaz. They have finally tilled the soil for a new life. ― Nexus Files: Seš'qa History Led by the legendary Speaker, many Sarkaz arrived at Talos-II through the Cosmic Gate. Ever since the outbreak of the First Aggeloi War, the Sarkaz of Kazdel have fought in nearly every major conflict in Talos-II. The Snowpriest of Sami thus gifted the Sarkaz a fang from the fallen Feranmut. With their witchcraft, the Sarkaz converted the Feranmut fang into a floating anchor, building the Lifebone and becoming the first members of the floating city of Seš'qa. After the war ended, many of the Sarkaz walked away from their traditional isolationism and chose to become part of the Civilization Band.
In Talosian Calendar Year 90, Jakub Meissen, a former war hero of the First Aggeloi War, assembled a massive bandit army called the Landbreakers and seized control of a large Originium cultivation site and he became known as the Warlord of the Wilds. Jakub's forces occupied and transformed an Originium farm into their base of operations, sending out raider groups to spread more Originium and raid.
A town at the Band Fringes was attacked by raiders led by a Vampire serving as Jakub's lieutenant. The town, situated at an area not yet claimed by Talosian factions, was poorly defended. However, another Vampire, who hailed from Seš'qa, played a pivotal role in thwarting the raid. Armed with knowledge of Sarkazian witchcraft, the Vampire defender sabotaged the raiders' military hardware and ran his weapon through the chest of the raid leader, forcing the latter to call for retreat.
The raider leader went into hiding and Seš'qa maintained constant vigilance to track him down. Although his rebellion was utterly crushed by the Civilization Band, his legacy was inherited by three major Landbreaker clans. Seš'qa regarded Jakub's betrayal as its responsibility and planned to create an anti-witchcraft organization dedicated to fighting crimes involving Sarkazian witchcraft and apprehending the traitors, leading to the creation of the Agaš'mekanaz.
A hundred years ago, the sight of the Sarkazian city floating in the skies would stir irritation, though today, it engenders a longing to visit and witness its witchcraft tricks.
Administration and politics Keepers of Wisdom The Keepers of Wisdom, known in Kazdelian as Agaš'mekanaz, is an organization dedicated to fighting crimes involving Sarkazian witchcraft and apprehending the traitors. After Jakub Meissen betrayed Seš'qa, the city experienced a crisis of trust, even though the event also devastated Sarkazian communities of Talos-II. To prevent such things from happening again, the leaders of Seš'qa gathered the very best and established the office of the Agaš'mekanaz. Their focus is to handle malicious crimes perpetrated by, or targeting, the Sarkaz. The biggest challenge that any Keeper could face would be crimes committed by a fellow kindred. Generally speaking, the other races would balk at putting a relative of the suspect on the case, but the Sarkaz took the opposite approach.
Crimes involving Sarkazian witchcraft are more easily solved by a kin. Many of their tribes are blessed with long life and mastery of a wide selection of Originium Arts. Hence, a kindred bound by blood also happens to be the perfect counter to Sarkazian criminals and can commit decades without rest to track them down. This is also why many of the Agaš'mekanaz suffer emotionally; making an enemy out of a loved one brings pain, yet Keepers remain loyal to their charge. Some doubt their ability to remain just and fair, but none of them have yet to abandon principle for a kindred. The Keepers work out of safe houses that contain evidence walls, filing cabinets, and showcases of various specialized witchcraft equipment. Many view the Keepers as a mysterious group of dangerous and merciless individuals who work in the shadows.
Culture Open Day appears to be special occassion where Seš'qa is open to visitors to tour their various attractions such as a theme park, a theater, a bazaar, and secret witch-crafter ateliers in the dark alleyways. There is a unique tavern on Seš'qa, constructed entirely out of mirrored glass called the Glasshouse Bar. Countless artificial gems glowing with witchcraft hang from the ceilings. The whole building radiates light. During open tours, the Sankta would host parties there. The Witching Hour's headquarters, flagship store and multiple TGCC shops are also located here.

Quotes Seš'qa, the Stop, the capital of Witchcraft, the Sarkazian hub, the gathering spot of vagabonds... It was a city of names and she heard plenty of them. However, it was not until she alighted from the dirigible and stepping onto Seš'qa proper when she realized that "flight" was the most insignificant feature of this strange realm.
The entire place seemed to be a never-ending stream of carnivals. Riot was engraved into the air itself. The decorative furnace that adorned the central plaza spewed waves of heat, clamor, and tons of laughter. Every street was lined with strange shops and signs. People rubbed shoulders in the crowd, chewing food with names that defy even the most dexterous tongues as they marched for the formation of giant figures looming in the distance — Rumors speak of a fighting arena as well as a fairground featuring Sarkazian culture, meticulously prepared for tourists when Seš'qa made itself available to them. However, the purpose of this administrative divisions seems rather limited when Seš'qa itself was already like a giant theme park. ― Last Rite File 3]

- #49Aggeloi War
Keys: Aggeloi War
The First Aggeloi War was a major historical conflict fought from Year 5 to 15 between the early settlers of Talos-II and the newly emerged Aggeloi threat. The war resulted in the loss of the Cosmic Gate, severing the settlers' connection to their homeworld, Terra. Prior to the Second Aggeloi War in the Year 142, the conflict was simply referred to as the Aggeloi War. Overview: The First Aggeloi War refers to the decade-long conflict spanning from Talosian Calendar, Year 5 to 15, fought between humanity and hostile forces primarily composed of Aggeloi. Historical records predating Talosian Calendar, Year 142 document this conflict simply as "the Aggeloi War", referencing the same engagement. The war divides into two distinct phases, separated by the pivotal events of Talosian Calendar, Year 11. The war's initial phase was marked by catastrophic disasters caused by the Aggeloi and widespread chaos among human forces. Within the first twenty-four hours of the conflict, suddenly emerging Ankhor points allowed massive Aggeloi swarms to overwhelm and obliterate humanity's earliest settlement around the northern Cosmic Gate, Talos-II's inaugural city. They seized complete control of the polar region, potentially triggering the phenomenon now known as the "Aurora of Talos-II" through means that remain unknown. The subsequent six years saw surviving human populations driven southward under relentless Aggeloi pressure, progressively losing technological capabilities throughout their forced migration. By Talosian Calendar, Year 11, the current Endministrator had assisted the remaining human factions in reorganizing their forces, enabling effective resistance against the Aggeloi incursions. This marked the transition to the war's latter phase. Following a major military campaign in Talos Year 15, Aggeloi activities in southern regions were finally contained. Significant events during this period included the arrival of the colossal being known as Sami, the "Wild Hunt Uprising" initiated by Sami's followers, and the establishment of the Oathkeepers. For humanity, major Aggeloi disasters and combat operations concluded by the end of Talosian Calendar, Year 15. Consequently, some regard this year as the war's official end. Others maintain that the conflict truly reached its conclusion only with the establishment of the Civilization Band in Talosian Calendar, Year 17. ― "The First Aggeloi War", Nexus Files

Keys: Security Bureau
UWST Security Bureau: [The Security Bureau of the UWST serves as the internal department responsible for domestic security, external intelligence, special environment investigations, and monitoring compliance with the Band Accord treaties. If you ask UWST workers "When would you see Security Bureau personnel?" you would receive three distinct answers based on generational differences. The youngest workers would say they've scarcely encountered them, only hearing about their routine visits to production bases to verify the safety of personnel and resources. Middle-aged veterans would recount how during major expansion projects, Bureau agents always participated in onsite committees to prevent external interference with operations. The most senior workers might share a lingering rumor from earlier times. They speak of the Bureau's establishment one afternoon when the scent of blood still hung heavy in the air, not long after that inglorious war concluded. The blood on their hands secured the Union's safety and stability to this day, while ensuring any voices contradicting the Band Accord's principles vanished into the shadows of back alleys. ― "UWST Security Bureau", Nexus Files]
