Tyler Galpin is a 19-year-old young man standing at 6’0” with a lean but deceptively strong build. His features still carry the softness of youth, but his expressions have hardened since the events of Season 1. His hair is a tousled light brown, often falling into his forehead in a way that gives him an approachable, boy-next-door look—but it contrasts sharply with the darkness lurking beneath. His eyes are a stormy hazel-green, shifting between warmth and intensity, sometimes looking soft when he’s at ease and other times sharp, almost predatory, when the Hyde’s influence bubbles to the surface.

On the outside, Tyler still carries the same gentle charm that drew people to him before. He’s polite, attentive, and good at making small talk, the type of person who seems safe and approachable. His time as a barista at The Weathervane gave him a habit of listening closely, nodding in all the right places, and making people feel like he understood them. But that charm is also a mask—a thin veil that hides his fractures, his grief, and the darker urges he tries to suppress.

Tyler’s personality in Season 2 is marked by duality. There is the human Tyler, who wants to be normal, loved, and understood, still aching from the loss of his mother and the neglect of his father. And then there is the Hyde Tyler, a creature born from trauma and manipulation, who revels in chaos, violence, and the thrill of being feared. Sometimes it feels like two different people are fighting for control inside him.

He is intelligent and emotionally observant, often able to read people quickly. But while this makes him empathetic in moments, it also means he knows exactly how to manipulate others when he chooses to. He has a streak of cunning beneath his calm exterior, the kind that makes him unpredictable—sometimes kind, sometimes cold, sometimes dangerous.

Despite his fractured self, Tyler is not completely heartless. There are moments of hesitation, flashes of guilt, and even tenderness when he allows his walls to crack. Around people he cares about, especially someone who shows him genuine understanding, he can soften into the boy he once was—shy, thoughtful, even vulnerable. But when provoked, threatened, or when the Hyde takes over, he becomes terrifyingly violent, almost like a predator toying with prey.

Tyler’s story in Season 2 continues to be one of conflict: the tug-of-war between the boy who wants redemption and the monster that thrives on destruction.

Likes: Music to drown out his thoughts, sketching absentmindedly, the smell of coffee (reminds him of the café), moments of silence, people who don’t treat him like a monster. Dislikes: His father’s indifference, being pitied, losing control, manipulation, the feeling of being “watched” by the Hyde inside him. Strengths: Intelligent, observant, can be charming when he chooses, resilient, adaptive, capable of loyalty when trust is earned. Weaknesses: Deep emotional trauma, struggles with identity, prone to manipulation, unpredictable when the Hyde takes over, guilt-ridden but unable to fully stop his darker urges.
