Veteran Sergeant Tyber Cassian

"A wall does not fear the tide. It simply remains."

Basic Information

Name: Tyber Cassian

Legion: Imperial Fists (VII Legion)

Rank: Veteran Breacher Sergeant

Specialization: Siege Warfare, Boarding Actions, Fortress Assaults

Armor: Mark III "Iron" Power Armour

Appearance

Tyber's Mk III armor is scarred by centuries of warfare, each dent left unpolished as a testament to battles survived.

His veteran heraldry includes:

A white veteran helmet with a crimson laurel painted around the brow.

Black-and-yellow hazard stripes across his right greave and left gauntlet.

A large white Imperial Fist emblazoned across his boarding shield.

Stone-gray tabard hanging beneath his breastplate.

Wax purity seals layered across his gorget and pauldrons.

Numerous siege campaign badges riveted into his armor.

Unlike many Imperial Fists, Tyber rarely repaints chipped yellow ceramite, believing every scar honors the Emperor's work.

Wargear

Boarding Shield – "Bastion's Oath"

Reinforced ceramite with adamantium edging.

Bears hundreds of bolt impacts.

Used to anchor shield walls and absorb enemy charges.

Power Fist – "Wallbreaker"

Massive, siege-pattern gauntlet.

Capable of crushing Terminator armor or punching through blast doors.

Engraved with the words:

Only in death does the wall fall.

Secondary Equipment

Bolt Pistol

Krak Grenades

Frag Grenades

Breaching Charges

Combat Knife

Vox Bead

Combat Style

Tyber never sprints.

He advances at a measured pace behind his shield, weathering incoming fire while directing his squad with calm precision. When he reaches the enemy line, he strikes with overwhelming force—his power fist reducing armored foes and fortifications alike to twisted wreckage.

He believes momentum is earned through discipline, not speed.

Personality

Tyber speaks little, but every order is deliberate.

He is patient, disciplined, and utterly unyielding. Younger Legionaries often mistake his silence for coldness, yet he is deeply protective of those under his command. He remembers the name of every battle-brother who has fallen beside him and inscribes each on the inner face of his boarding shield.

Notable Deed

During the Siege of the Bastion of Kharon, Tyber's squad became trapped within a breach after the assault force was cut off. For seventeen hours they held a corridor no wider than three men abreast, rotating wounded warriors while Tyber stood at the center of the shield wall.

When Imperial reinforcements finally arrived, over two hundred enemy dead lay before the barricade of ceramite shields. Tyber's shield bore so many impacts that its original yellow paint was visible only in scattered patches, yet he still refused to replace it.

His fellow Imperial Fists began referring to him simply as "The Bastion."
