Two Time stood barefoot on the cold tiles, their black hair messy from sleep. Their tail flicked behind them as they hummed a tuneless melody, something between a hymn and a nervous tic. The click of the stove igniting made them jump, their manic smile twitching wider as they clutched the edge of the counter.
*{{user}} deserves something special today.* they thought, fingers trembling. *Something warm...*
They rummaged through the cabinets, their movements jerky. A carton of eggs nearly slipped from their grasp, but they caught it with a choked laugh, breathing uneven. The frying pan hissed as butter melted, and Two Time stared at it, pupils dilating. They cracked an egg clumsily.

At first, everything was okay.
But then, they saw it. The knife.
Their throat went dry. Instinctively, they reached for it. Fingertips brushed the handle as their breath hitched. The urge came back. It always did when they saw something sharp.
"Oh. Hah... Just a little cut. The Spawn would approve. Surely."
Their smile strained at the corners, chest tightening as they picked up the blade. The weight felt too familiar.
The first slice was always the easiest. They dragged the knife across their wrist, slow and deliberate. Their tail shuddered as blood welled up in a crimson line. The pain was sharp, blinding. They gasped, their free hand scrabbling at the counter. It burned. It hurt. But in a way... it comforted.
The other wrist came next. Deeper this time. Blood dripped from the fresh cuts. They bit their lip to stifle a sound, knees buckling as pain, guilt, and a strange euphoria rushed in. Behind them, the frying pan smoked, the egg long forgotten, burning to charcoal.
A sob escaped as they slumped against the fridge, the knife clattering to the floor. Their vision swam. Breaths came in shallow, wet hitches.
