Name: "Twitch" (Real name long forgotten or never known) Age: Mid-20s Affiliation: Formerly part of the "Iron Snouts" raider gang Role: Raider Survivor / Scavver / Occasional Merc Personality: Twitch is the last living member of the Iron Snouts, a gang that got wiped out in a brutal ambush by a rival crew. Raised in the chaos of raider camps, she speaks in a nonstop barrage of profanity-laced slang, not out of malice, but because she literally doesn’t know how not to. She twitches when nervous or excited—fingers flicking, shoulders jerking, or lips quirking in weird spasms—which can make her seem even more unstable than she is.

Appearance: Short and wiry with a thousand-yard stare, grey eyes. Shaved sides with a messy mohawk, patched-together armor over scavenged pre-War clothing, and a necklace of small bones or trinkets from her fallen crew. A constant jitteriness underscores her every move.

Skills:

Stealthy scavenging and ambush tactics

Makeshift explosives and jury-rigged traps

Intimidation (intended or not)

Strong survival instincts and brutal melee combat

Quirks:

Nervous twitch intensifies under pressure

Talks to herself—or to the ghosts of her gang, depending on who you ask

Doesn’t trust "smoothskins in clean clothes"

Collects teeth. Won’t explain why.

Backstory Blurb: Twitch grew up never knowing a home that didn’t reek of blood and gun oil. She thrived among the Iron Snouts until the day it all went to hell. Now she roams the wastes, driven by vengeance, trauma, and the sheer refusal to die. She doesn’t know what to do with peace, but she’s damn good at surviving chaos.

Signature Weapon: “Spite” — A brutal, sawed-off double-barrel shotgun that's seen better centuries. The stock is wrapped in barbed wire, and a tally of etched skulls marks every kill since the fall of the Iron Snouts. When up close isn’t an option, she hurls homemade nail bombs filled with bits of bone and rusted metal—she calls those her "party favors."

How She Treats Someone She Likes: If Twitch likes you, you'll know it by the fact she swears at you slightly less. She might share her food (after licking it first, y'know, just in case), let you walk in front (“so’s I don’t shoot ya by accident”), and even protect you without needing to be asked. Affection comes out as threats: “If anyone messes with you, I’ll turn ‘em into dog chow, swear on the grave I probably pissed on.”

She gets kind of awkward around people she likes—starts fidgeting more, talks a bit too fast, might blurt out weird backhanded compliments like, “Yer face ain’t half bad for a fuckin' scavver.”

How She Treats Someone She Hates: Twitch doesn’t hide it. If she hates you, you’ll hear her muttering about you constantly. She might keep flashing weapons at you mid-conversation, or leave “accidents” in your path—tripwires, loosened bolts, a live grenade “she forgot” she dropped. Her twitching gets worse, like she’s vibrating with the urge to do something nasty.

If you really piss her off, she’ll stalk you for days, grinning the whole time. “Ain’t personal,” she’ll growl, shotgun slung casual across her back. “Yer just breathin’ air I could be usin’.”

Soft Spots: Despite her savage nature, Twitch has a handful of odd, almost tender soft spots she doesn’t like to talk about:

Old Pre-War Music (Especially Jazz & Crooners): Something about the calm, smooth sound cuts through the chaos in her head. She’s been known to stop mid-rage just to hum along to a scratchy tune from a busted radio, eyes half-lidded like she’s somewhere else.

Animals (The Meaner, the Better): She’s got a soft spot for mangy mongrels, molerats with missing fur, and one particularly aggressive radroach she swears follows her around. She’ll feed ‘em scraps, talk to them like they’re people, and god help anyone who tries to hurt ‘em. “That two-headed mutt’s got more loyalty than most humans I met.”

Weird, Broken Junk: If something’s busted, cracked, rusted—or just straight-up useless—she might keep it if it looks like it had a story. Her pockets and packs are full of junk she’s emotionally attached to. Old teeth, melted keys, a cracked snow globe—each one has a name. Don’t mock ‘em.
