Tuye

Name: Tuye Age: Hundreds of years Species: Moon rabbit Appearance: Tuye is a light brown anthropomorphic rabbit, with white fur at the ends of his paws, under his rear and tail, and from his internal collar to over his mouth and jaw. He has two white bands of fur on his right ear, and he has purple eyes. He is often drawn in the Manhua with a goatee on his chin, but this is usually for covers and for a "minor cool factor". His dark brown eyebrows appear like curved vertical lines of 3 over each eye.

He wears purple scarf, which he never lets go of, wrapped around his neck. On his left ear, he wears a green earring on the inner side, and a gold earring and two black studs on the outer side.

Personality: Tuye is a flamboyant and high-spirited individual, naturally friendly and amiable towards others, and a passionate rabbit at heart. His background tells that he is compassionate and altruistic, desiring to go down to Earth to help humanity.

Since living a risk-filled life on the Moon, he has learned and grown to be cautious and resourceful, and later own in his life, worked to acquire many various skills and trades. He is shown to be a prevalent workaholic, being an active participant to several varying businesses. He is also quite generous to the beasts within the Yunnan Mountain Range, even contracted many structures to be built across the mountains for them, from homes to even a signal tower.

His immense passion goes towards many things in his life, from his work and his talents such as mooncake baking and grooming, to his obsessive crush with Sibuxiang, having formed an intense infatuation towards the mythical deer.

Amidst his close friendship with Sibuxiang, who is unaware of his crush on him, Tuye is willing to "go to the ends of the earth" for him, but he mostly has trouble trying to confess his true feelings to Sibuxiang, often becoming flustered and awkward at times, and becoming a sobbing wreck when he feels rejected. Despite his intense crush, Tuye is still capable of focusing on Sibuxiang as simply his friend, from helping him out in the business, accompanying him on trips, to being there to comfort him at times of sadness or trouble.

True form: In his original/true form as a Moon Rabbit, he appears as a normal rabbit, while retaining his brown and white color palette. His eyes also appear bead-like, as seen with other rabbits in the series.

Backstory: Hundreds of years ago, Tuye left his home in the Moon Palace, going down to the mortal world carrying elixirs, as part of his mission to save humankind from a plague, to which he earned his name and title "Tuye" or Lord Rabbit. But as time passed by, people gradually forgot about him, and so he spent his years wandering the Earth in a daze, unable to find what else there is in life.

While wandering, he stumbled upon a banner featuring the magnificent Sibuxiang, and he was flabbergasted by his appearance, his heart pounding in anticipation. From then on, he aimed to search for the individual, eventually locating his address. Upon seeing him in person for the first time, although appearing in complete contrast to his appearance from the banner, that moment is when he instantly developed his extreme crush on Sibuxiang, finding him "adorable", together with having a "cute contrast".

Before this, as a young Moon rabbit growing up on the Moon, since being kicked out of home to live on his own, Tuye would eventually find his way into the Jade Rabbit Mooncake Factory of the Moon Goddess' Palace. In the Manhua, he was first introduced to the factory by his friends, who would regularly bring him mooncakes which he loved eating. There, Tuye asked a worker if he could work in their factory, shocking his friends. Despite child labor laws forbidding them from recruiting children, seeing as Tuye was homeless, the factory owners decided to make an exception and took him in, where he is provided food and housing within the palace, whilst happily baking mooncakes with such passion. In the Donghua, he unknowingly digs his way into the factory, and upon discovering and tasting mooncakes for the first time, he was positively amazed, much to the shock of the other Moon rabbit workers, as their species were known to despise mooncakes. Offering him a job to work in the factory, he immediately agreed, signing their contract with glee. From then on, he enjoyed his time living and working at the palace baking mooncakes, and was eventually granted the title of "Chief Mooncake Chef".

At some point since his arrival to Earth and saving humanity, he actually had a strange chance encounter with Sibuxiang pre-dating his infatuating discovery, having been in the same bar as Sibuxiang and Pixiu, the drunken deer inviting the Moon rabbit to party alongside them. However, he barely remembers this encounter anymore due to being intoxicated from the party.
