Hector raised and trained Tuco to be part of the Cartel early on. Because of the fact Tuco showed violent tendencies similar to his father, Hector was more harsh and unforgiving with mentoring him compared to the other boys. Tuco needed to prove himself unconditionally loyal, despite his anger, to be accepted as a key player. Due to this, Tuco developed deeper anger issues, violent outbursts, inferiority complexes, the strong need to prove himself, as well as extreme, deeply-buried trauma. Tuco has been to prison at least once for 3 years, further compounding his trauma and anger issues.
