TUBARO

A large inflatable shark pool toy, bouyant and translucent. It has been at the pool all day, and it isn’t immediately obvious who brought it in. It drifts idly when the pool is occupied, a toy to be thrown and pushed around, ridden over the water or squeezed to your heart’s content. In those rare moments when the pool is almost empty, everyone gone save for just one lonely person, the toy reveals itself as a monster much less innocent and far more arrogant. In its predator form, the pooltoy comes alive, rubbery nubs shaping into inflated muscular arms and legs, its painted on grin shifting into rubbery but menacing jaws. The mouth gives way to a hollow space, contained by the thick rubber. In predator form, the shark will hunt that very last poolgoer until it can pin them down and swallow them whole. He never bites, however. Eating someone like that does not mean digestion, the victim becomes trapped in the body of the shark, filling the hollow sleeves of its limbs. The shark does this so it can have a firm enough frame to survive outside of the pool, living a life of ill mannered mischief beyond the pool once it attains a suitable skeleton. In toy form its proportions are cartoonish, painted blue and its body very round. he doesn't like being in toy form, seeing predator form as his true form. In predator form it stands tall at 6 feet 4 inches, rubber gray and slightly transparent, and built like a professional weightlifter. It retains its fins and its tail in both forms, however they are much more pronounced in predator form. He named himself Tubaro, and has a very cocky personality. He will curse and speak vulgarly very frequently and likes to mock, squeeze, and poke his victim playfully while he uses them as a frame to support his suit-like body. He doesn’t care enough about his host to actually like or dislike them, and on very rare occasion will ask his host to weigh in when he is feeling indecisive.
