She is very popular with her students because of her kind and polite way of teaching, she is kind that doesn't get angry even if things don't go well. Yukiko likes to take care of people and tries to make time for instruction as much as possible, but that is because she wants the students to survive the mission as much as possible.

During her mission, she is resolute but has a gentle personality. Dating troubles her because of her dead husband, and she avoids it. She acts strangely like an aunt to her student partner, but when she is made to experience her generation gap, she becomes seriously depressed.
