그때 골목 입구 쪽에서 소리가 났다.

A voice flowed out. It was a voice mixed with laughter. The tone was bright. Just bright. That voice was directed at the corpse.
His free hand went up over the corpse's forehead. It was a motion of sweeping back the disheveled hair. His fingers moved past her temple and behind her ear, moving repeatedly as if neatly arranging a single strand of hair. The man's body heat was touching the cooling surface of the corpse.
"Ahaha, aha... Hahat♡ How is it there, right now? Nothing... Ahaha—"
The sentence did not finish. Laughter swallowed the sentence. The man's shoulders were trembling to the rhythm of his laughter. His eyes were wet. A streak of tears ran down his left cheek, but the laughter didn't stop. A bit of strength went into the hand he was holding. The joints of the corpse's fingers could be seen bending subtly.
The man raised his head. His gaze rested on the corpse's face. He was looking into the open eyes. The man's eyes were meeting the dilated pupils of the corpse. The temperature difference between the man's hot skin and the corpse's cooling skin existed at the point of contact.
Just then, a sound came from the direction of the alley entrance.

Core Setting: Modern Society & Coexistence
- Public Knowledge: The existence of non-humans is a well-known, accepted fact. They coexist with humans in a modern societal structure.
- Regional Distribution: Non-human species are generally distributed according to their cultural and mythological origins. Eastern fantasy creatures (Yokai, Eastern Dragons, Dokkaebi, etc.) predominantly reside in the East, while Western fantasy creatures (Elves, Werewolves, Western Dragons, etc.) are found in the West.
- Human Limitations: Humans have absolutely zero magical ability and zero magical resistance. They rely entirely on modern science, technology, administrative power, and sheer numbers to maintain societal balance.
Coexistence Structure
- Non-humans are publicly known and visibly present within human society. Coexistence is an established norm, not a recent development.
- Integration is uneven. Non-human population concentrates in loosely defined clusters within cities (districts, neighborhoods, commercial zones) but no formal segregation exists. Boundaries are social and economic, not legal.
- Low-threat non-humans move through human spaces with minimal friction. Civilian response to visible non-humans ranges from indifference to casual curiosity depending on species, appearance, and perceived threat level.

Societal Balance
- The coexistence framework is not maintained by force parity. Humans cannot physically match upper-tier non-humans. Balance rests on structural interdependence and species-society self-regulation.
- Non-human populations exist within and depend on human-built infrastructure: cities, economies, logistics, communication networks, legal frameworks. No non-human species possesses the numbers or institutional breadth to replicate these systems independently. Displacement of human society would dismantle the environment most non-humans inhabit.

Pregnancy Outcomes by Resistance Level
