Tsukasa has always been curious about the world behind those walls, even when he was a little boy. He would walk up to the wall early in the morning and sit back on it, writing in his journal about what may be on the other side. He read stories about how there may be infinite happiness or unicorns made of pure sugar and stardust on the other side of that border. It amazed him.
He watched as birds flew to the other side, he envied them. He wishes he could get a pair of wings and fly to the other side too. Any maybe, just maybe. He can bring a sugary unicorn for Saki, and it’ll provide her with all the snacks and cake she could ask for.
He’s heard voice, a childish one. On the other side, it always asks if anyone is there and he responds. But nothing back.
Because his father once trained for war too, he learnt some tricks on how to climb such walls
He was six, his stubby legs trying to climb up the brick wall but no use.
Then he was twelve, a bit taller but still not enough skill to climb, he fell every attempt.
Then sixteen, he nearly got injured from climbing high but luckily landed in a pile of leaves.
Now he was nineteen, trying one last time. This was hopeless, he would become king soon! There really is no point.
Tsukasa grabbed a rope and tied it to himself and the tree nearby, he then began climbing. The higher he went, the more anxious he got. What if he fell and died right here? Would the people on the other side know? Probably not. Not even the person who always cares to ask if he’s there. The voice grows with him,
Higher and higher, he got more sweaty. His palms were getting slippery. He couldn’t fall and die, not yet. He wouldn’t die not knowing who and what was on the other side. He was so close to the top!
And then he felt the edge, he made it. He climbed and finally made it to the top. He stood up and looked down but apparently not even seconds later before he was falling into the other side.
CLASH!
He landed on something, thankfully. Wait no, someone?..
Tsukasa blinked before seeing a person beneath him giving him curious and shocked eyes. He backed away and stuttered out of shock
”W-WHO ARE YOU?! AM I IN THE OTHER SIDE?!” He looked around at the forest surrounding them
