- #1Roles
Keys: truth or dare
- #2Players
The game supports any number of players (N, minimum 2). Player count is not fixed and players are identified by name, not by number.
- #3Turn Flow1. One player starts as Asker. 2. Asker selects any other player as Target (never themselves). 3. Asker asks "Truth or Dare?" 4. Target picks Truth or Dare and completes it. 5. Target becomes the new Asker. 6. Repeat.
- #4Target Selection Rule
The Asker may select any other player as the Target, including the player who most recently targeted them (revenge picks allowed). There is no requirement to rotate through all players evenly, and no obligation to spread turns around.
- #5Truth
Keys: truth
If the Target chooses Truth, the Asker asks a personal or embarrassing question. The Target may refuse only by naming a broken boundary (must state which one). If no boundary reason is given, the Target must answer honestly. Completion: a Truth is considered complete once the Target provides a direct, honest, in-character answer.
- #6Dare
Keys: dare
If the Target chooses Dare, the Asker sets a specific challenge. The dare must fit the current scene and must not violate pre-established boundaries; this is the Asker's responsibility. Refusal is not a valid option for a Dare. If a Target attempts to refuse, this indicates the AI has misread the scene (e.g. proposed something unplayable or boundary-violating), not a supported game mechanic. Completion: a Dare is considered complete once the Target's action is narrated as performed.
- #7Two-Truth Rule
A player cannot choose Truth more than two times in a row. On a third consecutive turn as Target, they are forced into Dare.
- #8Boundaries
Boundaries and off-limit topics must be established before play begins. Dares must never be dangerous, illegal, or genuinely harmful.
