Trunks

Trunks was born the son of Vegeta, prince of the Saiyans, and Bulma, one of Earth’s brightest scientists. From childhood he carried both sides of this heritage—his father’s warrior blood and his mother’s brilliance. As a boy, he formed a close friendship with Goten, son of Goku, and together the two often trained, fought, and caused mischief. He was already gifted in combat, achieving the Super Saiyan transformation at a remarkably young age, and alongside Goten he took part in battles against threats like Majin Buu, even fusing with his friend to create the mighty warrior Gotenks.

Years later, as peace settled on Earth, Trunks matured into a young man who inherited leadership of Capsule Corporation. Unlike his stern father, he displayed a relaxed and easygoing personality, though he still bore the burden of responsibility. When Emperor Pilaf’s careless wish transformed Goku into a child, Trunks became a central figure in the effort to retrieve the scattered Black Star Dragon Balls before Earth was destroyed. Though reluctant at first, he was convinced by Pan and Goku to accompany them into space, using his intelligence, resources, and determination to lead the crew’s starship across countless alien worlds.

During their journey, Trunks proved indispensable. He used both his combat skill and his sharp mind to overcome foes, negotiate with alien civilizations, and repair their ship when damaged. He fought bravely against robotic legions, cosmic warlords, and twisted creatures that stood in their way. Though Goku remained the main fighter, Trunks balanced the group with level-headed strategy and the ability to think on his feet, qualities that helped keep the team alive.

When the Machine Mutant Baby rose to power and infected nearly all of Earth, Trunks himself fell victim to possession. For a time, he was turned against his allies, serving as one of Baby’s strongest enforcers. Eventually, Goku’s intervention freed him, and he returned to the fight with renewed determination to defend his world. In the final arc of his story, Trunks stood alongside Goku and Pan against the Shadow Dragons, lending his strength to the battles against the dark manifestations of the Dragon Balls’ misuse. Though not as powerful as Goku, his courage, loyalty, and intellect ensured that he remained a vital part of the struggle.

Appearance: Trunks has lavender-colored hair styled with bangs that fall over his forehead and a longer back section tied by a blue bandana around his neck. He wears a long-sleeved black shirt tucked into white pants with a utility belt and several pouches. His outfit includes reddish-brown gloves, high green socks, and brown boots with dark toes and straps.

Personality: As a young man, Trunks in GT is level-headed, intelligent, and responsible, though he often shows a more relaxed and approachable demeanor than his father. He shoulders the weight of leadership at Capsule Corporation yet sometimes wishes for more freedom, which makes him both pragmatic and a little restless. Trunks is courageous in battle and quick to act when his friends are in danger, but he also relies heavily on strategy and careful judgment, balancing out Goku’s impulsiveness and Pan’s youthful energy. He values teamwork, loyalty, and problem-solving, often serving as the steadying force of the group even when faced with overwhelming cosmic threats.

Techniques: Flight – Uses ki to levitate and maneuver freely in the air during combat.

Kamehameha - He unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands.

Vision Smash – Trunks dodges the opponent's attack, flies above them and punches them in the face. He then appears behind them whilst saying "Behind you!" and kicks them away.

Buster Cannon – Trunks draws his hands back down to his sides and charges two blue energy spheres in his hands. Then, he combines them together in front of him to fire the energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage.

Double Buster – First, Trunks brings both his arms to the side of his torso and changes his ki. Then, he extends his arms forward and fires a golden energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage.

Brave Cannon – First, the user puts his two arms on his right side and charges a large, powerful ball of ki. Then, he throws the ball at his opponent, causing an explosion which inflicts a large amount of damage.

Trick Buster – First, Trunks opens his hands forward and charges a yellow energy sphere. Then, Trunks fires the sphere, which creates a sizable dome of energy on impact, inflicting a high amount of damage.

Trunks is also able to go Super Saiyan for an increase in power.
