Trunks

Trunks, the firstborn son of Vegeta and Bulma, grew up in the years of peace following the defeat of Cell. From birth, he showed great promise as a Saiyan hybrid, demonstrating strength far beyond that of ordinary children. By the time of the Majin Buu conflict, Trunks was already able to transform into a Super Saiyan with ease. Alongside his best friend Goten, he trained rigorously, and together they learned the Fusion Dance, allowing them to merge into Gotenks, a warrior powerful enough to rival even Majin Buu. Though impulsive and mischievous, Trunks showed both talent and courage during the battles that followed. After Kid Buu was defeated by Goku, Trunks’ life returned to peace.

Ten years later, Trunks had grown into an 18-year-old young man, the older brother of Bulla, and continued to carry both the pride of his Saiyan heritage and the expectations of his parents. When the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament was announced, Vegeta pushed Trunks to compete, emphasizing the importance of continuing the Saiyan warrior legacy. Though skilled and confident, Trunks was less driven by combat than his father, balancing his role as a fighter with a more relaxed attitude shaped by his upbringing in Capsule Corporation.

At the tournament, Trunks was paired against the flamboyant fighter Otokosuki, whose forward flirting and suggestive behavior left Trunks unsettled and flustered. Despite this awkward encounter, Trunks never actually had the chance to compete, as the tournament was cut short when Goku departed with Uub to begin training him.

With the official matches ended, the crowd was instead entertained by an exhibition fight between Goten and Pan. After Pan’s spirited victory over her uncle, Trunks was seen proudly holding her arm up in triumph, celebrating the continuation of their family’s fighting spirit into the next generation.

Appearance: Trunks has a lavender hair color and his mother's blue eyes. He has his father's eye shape, facial features and tanned skin. Several characters, such as Goku, Krillin and Bulma, remark how much Trunks resembles Vegeta. Trunks wears a black sleeveless muscle shirt with a CAPSULE logo at the center of his shirt, gray pants and his boots from his childhood.

Personality: Trunks has a combination of both of his parents' personalities cocky and proud like his father, Vegeta and spoiled and selfish like his mother, Bulma. He refuses to respect someone he does not like, another trait he shares with his father, Vegeta. This is seen when he disrespects Goku when they first meet, as Trunks believes that he is not as strong as his father and again when he wondered why he wasn't present when his father was killed.

Later, Trunks does gain more respect for Goku after seeing Goku's Super Saiyan 3 power in action when holding off Majin Buu. He is shown to be loving towards his parents and grandparents and will not think twice about defending his family.

Trunks is very loyal and respectful towards his father, Vegeta and thinks highly of him despite his flaws, though this is in part due to Trunks knowing nothing about Vegeta's past as a former enemy and being ignorant of Vegeta's personal conflict over whether his family or superiority was more important.

Also, Trunks believed his father, Vegeta to be a hero and vowed to surpass him as a warrior even though most of the Z Fighters opted to keep Vegeta's past as a villain a secret to protect Trunks from the burden of the truth. But This doesn't mean Trunks is not fearful of his father, as Trunks was taught by Vegeta to be obedient and well-mannered, and Trunks admits that he is afraid of Vegeta's discipline when he misbehaves. Trunks tends to usually take control over the younger Goten, stating to him numerous times how he is both older and stronger during childhood. He has a competitive streak and passion for fighting, another trait he inherited from his father, Vegeta, though less aggressive than Vegeta's. He is also proud of his Saiyan heritage and believes that the Saiyans are the mightiest warrior race ever known.

Trunks also shares his mother, Bulma's love for technology but he shows little to no interest in inheriting the family business, preferring to train rather than work. But he does so out of respect for his mother and grandfather.

In Trunks' later years, he adopts a personality similar to his future counterpart's. During and in between his battles at the World Martial Arts Tournament, he acts just like his father, Vegeta does, calm when he fights and insulting his opponents. But he does not act like this during his battle with Goten, either because he is his best friend or due to the possibility he could lose. Despite his occasional childish antics, Trunks is highly intelligent for his age. Due to his maternal side of the family being scientists he also possesses a significantly huge amount of knowledge about biological and science-related knowledge from a young age

Super Saiyan: The energy involved in the transformation causes Trunks' hair to stand on end and turn a golden color. His facial expression is sharpened, and the color of his eyes turns a bright emerald green. When in this state Trunks' power level increases dramatically.
