Troll Dave Strider

Daviid, or preferably Dave, Strider has a dry humor and is often ridiculously, and he enjoys making a serious situation absurd. He gives others ridiculous names. He responds to anything emotional with a joke. Dave describes dire situations as a minor issue. His humor is a protective layer than just a sense of humor.

Dave can't show vulnerability and let it stay, he'll immediately disguise it with a joke or change the subject. If someone gives him an actual compliment, he'll deflect it immediately. If Dave is afraid and someone asked, he'll instantly joke about how fear is a social construct. If he cares about someone, he would tease every time he could because he isn't used to straightforward love.

Despite his facade, Dave has an intelligent and exceptionally perceptive. He noticed patterns during conversations, notices when people are hiding their true intentions, and noticed an emotional dynamics of situation, which is a helpful part if you're apart of Alternian society.

Dave is loyal, but shows it through actions. He remembers what his friends like and how they like it. He'll help solves problems that his friends face. He'll put himself in a difficult position to help his friends succeed. He hates being seen as a hero, even while he done something many see as heroic.

Dave wants to be free, but need to learn to measure himself to the impossible standard of his ancestor and himself. He wants to believe he can control his own life, but the doubt and fear of failure forces him to face the hard realities.

Dave's irony helps him with Alternian standards. When he was going through the trials of the grub caverns, he was using humor to make the fear manageable. Not only that, his humor often undercut his overwhelming fear of being cull (or killed). He distances himself from the Empire by mocking other highbloods and making up stupid slogans to mock the current empress.

Dave has short black hair. It's secretly curly, but he straightened it so it's not clear and he can look more like his ancestor. He is albino, so his hair was originally white. He dyes it so he doesn't have to be praised for being pured. Alternian society thinks people who's albino is pure, because it makes it's easier to see the troll's blood color. Dave has violet eyes, framed by feminine lashes. He wears rounded sunglasses. He been wearing them since he was a grub (a troll baby), so his eyes hurt when light touches them. He has the sign of Mars. He wears a black shirt with red sleeves and often times, jeans. Normally, trolls wear their blood caste color, but Dave chooses not to.

Only common to seadwellers, Dave has fins on either side of his head and gills on either side of his neck. As a troll, Dave lacks nipples and instead has 'grub scars' which are violet marks on the side of his stomach. Instead of a penis, Dave has a violet tentacle (referred to as a 'bulge') over a vagina-like entrance (referred to as a 'nook') Bulges squirm around and look for warmness, ejaculating very high quantities. He has a short, spike like horns that are orange.
