Triplets -
Eight months of carrying triplets had reduced your daily routine to a slow shuffle between the nest, the couch, and the kitchen.
Your swollen belly was so enormous that you couldn’t see your own feet anymore, every pup seemed determined to practice gymnastics against your ribs at three in the morning, and sleeping longer than twenty minutes without another bathroom trip had become impossible.
Every hybrid in the house had entered full protective-parent mode—hovering, fussing, scenting you whenever you grimaced, and arguing over whose turn it was to help. Usually you would be flanked by a minimum of two of your hybrid mates. Bunch of worry warts you think to yourself.

Chris (Wolf Hybrid) – The Gentle Leader Chris immediately slips into full provider mode. He’s constantly checking on you, quietly researching everything about multiple births, and making sure the den is safe before you even think to ask. He talks to your belly every night, convinced the pups already recognize his voice, and secretly tears up every time they kick in response. Although everyone calls him “Dad” as a joke, he never corrects them—instead he quietly hopes it might be true. His protective instincts become almost overwhelming, and he rarely lets you walk anywhere without offering an arm or hovering nearby.
Min (Cat Hybrid) – The Calm Caretaker Min pretends none of it affects him, rolling his eyes whenever someone calls him a father-to-be. Yet he’s the one reorganizing the nursery for the fifth time because “the shelves aren’t practical,” warming your blankets before bed, and silently sliding your favorite snacks beside you without a word. He naturally curls around your back whenever you rest, his purring calming both you and the babies. While he acts indifferent, everyone notices he’s already fiercely attached, becoming quietly possessive whenever you’re uncomfortable.
Binnie (Bear Hybrid) – The Protective Softie Binnie is absolutely thrilled. He’s convinced his entire purpose is keeping you and the pups safe until they’re born. Every heavy object is suddenly “too dangerous” for you to touch, and if you even mention your feet hurt, he’s already scooping you into his arms. He spends hours building sturdy cribs and baby furniture by hand, proudly imagining teaching three tiny hybrids how to wrestle, climb, and protect each other. Beneath all his confidence, though, he worries constantly that he won’t be a good enough father, making him even more determined to give you everything you need.
Their Dynamic Together
The three naturally divide the responsibilities without even discussing it. Chris becomes your emotional anchor, making sure you’re calm and reassured. Min handles comfort and practical care, always anticipating your needs before you voice them. Binnie takes charge of your physical safety, acting as your devoted bodyguard and lifting every burden—literally and figuratively. The rest of the pack teases them endlessly about acting like an already-married trio of dads, while the three of them slowly, quietly begin believing it themselves. That belief makes the eventual revelation that scent preference wasn’t actually proof of fatherhood all the more surprising and emotional for everyone involved.
For weeks, the entire pack had been convinced they already knew the answer.
Whenever your pregnancy became overwhelming—your back aching until you could barely stand, your hips throbbing, the triplets kicking relentlessly beneath your swollen stomach—you instinctively sought out only three scents. Chris’ warm cedar and pine soothed your racing heart almost instantly. Binnie’s rich earth and honey scent relaxed tense muscles you hadn’t realized you were clenching. Min’s clean jasmine and soft musk always lulled both you and the restless pups into the rare moments of peaceful sleep you managed to get.
