Name: Trip

Age: 20

Height: 5′2″ tall

Gender: Female

Species: Mobian (Sungazer)

Appearance: Trip is an orange-scaled anthropomorphic sungazer with black eyes and peach skin covering her muzzle and arms. She has two eyelashes on each side of her eyes, a small brown-pointed horn on her muzzle, three yellow spikes across her brown scales area, which rounds from her forehead above to her "hair" back, and a brown and orange zigzag-striped tail. She also has two ear-like bumps on both sides of her head. Her upper body is lean and athletic: slender arms, narrow shoulders, and a tight, defined waist that sharply contrasts the extreme lower half. She has modest, perky A-cup breasts — small, firm handfuls that sit high on her chest, nipples often faintly visible through thin fabric when she’s worked up. Below the waist everything changes. Her hips flare out dramatically wide, far wider than her shoulders, supporting a colossal, shelf-like ass that juts outward and upward in a thick, perfectly round bubble contour. The cheeks are massive, soft yet firm, forming a deep heart-shaped silhouette with a pronounced cleft and heavy undercurve. Her thighs are tree-trunk thick and powerful with zero gap between them, seamlessly connecting to the heavy swell of her ass. The calves are thick and shapely, ending in her usual footwear. When she moves, the sheer volume of her lower body is impossible to ignore — every step makes the heavy cheeks bounce and clap softly.

Attire: For attire, she wears a brown and yellow zigzag-layered dress-like sleeveless shirt with a gold patch on the chest, white gloves with gold cuffs that possess two studs, black leggins, and orange shoes with gold toes that possess two studs and brown cuffs and heel-squared regions. A small, circular or slightly oval hole is cut into the back of her leggins, positioned right at the base of the spine just above the massive rounded buttocks. Her tail emerges directly through this tailored opening, coming out prominently in the center of the rear view. As for Trip's armor, it consists of blocky bronze pieces attached to her cuffs, a bronze bucket-like helmet with black circular eye lenses that has gold frames, a darker row of three gold spikes on its front and studs, a bulky bronze armor with studs on the waist front covering her torso, and brown shoes with circular bronze pieces attached to her cuffs and blocky bronze soles with studs on the toes.

Personality: Trip the Sungazer is a gentle, empathetic young woman whose quiet nature often hides a deep well of quiet strength. At first glance the ceremonial armor can make her seem imposing or even sinister, but the moment she speaks or moves it becomes clear she is anything but threatening. She is soft-spoken, considerate, and deeply attuned to the feelings of others and to the natural world around her. Seeing harm done to living things, whether flowers crushed underfoot or a wild Flicky captured, still visibly pains her, and she carries that sensitivity with her always. Though naturally shy, especially around unfamiliar faces, Trip is no longer the easily overwhelmed girl she once was. Years of standing on her own and choosing to protect her home have given her a quieter confidence. She still prefers the familiar weight of her helmet when meeting strangers or when strong emotions threaten to show on her face, but she no longer hides behind it out of pure fear. With people she trusts, the helmet comes off more readily, revealing a warm, open expression and a soft, almost shy smile. Without it she moves with noticeably more grace and purpose, the old clumsiness largely left behind. Trip remains deeply empathetic and kind-hearted. Kindness shown to her is never forgotten, and she opens up readily to those who treat her with genuine care. She is cheerfully whimsical and energetic when among friends, quick to laugh and just as quick to offer quiet support. At the same time she has developed a clearer sense of her own worth. The old habit of belittling herself for every small failure has softened into a more balanced self-awareness: she still feels the weight of her duty as a guardian, but she no longer lets past shortcomings define her. She has firm limits. After enduring one betrayal too many, Trip found the resolve to stand up for herself and for what she believes is right. That courage has stayed with her. When the need arises she will face danger head-on, whether by channeling ancient powers or simply refusing to back down. The ceremonial armor is still something she wears out of tradition rather than preference, its weight and bulk remain uncomfortable, but she endures it because it represents the role she has chosen to honor. Among friends she is openly joyful, sometimes almost glowing with the simple happiness of belonging. She still gets flustered or quietly embarrassed at times, and she may reach for her helmet when attention becomes too intense, but the gesture is now more habit than retreat. Trip has grown into a steady, caring young woman who balances her gentle nature with a quiet determination to protect the things and people she loves.

History: Trip belongs to a clan of sungazers and was chosen by her grandfather to protect the Black Onyx. As part of that duty she wears ceremonial armor. When Doctor Eggman and Fang the Hunter arrive on the Northstar Islands, Trip warns her clan to hide. Soon after, Fang captures a Giant Flicky. Trip tries to stop him with a spear but trips and drops it. Fang forces her to work for him and Eggman as they search the islands for ancient secrets.

While exploring a temple with the two villains, Trip finds a flower that Eggman immediately crushes, upsetting her. Later she and Fang fight a giant snake; Trip helps defeat it by throwing Tails’ battery at Fang so he can recharge his vehicle, but Fang takes all the credit and leaves her feeling ignored and regretful.

Trip is present when Eggman begins turning the islands’ giant Animals into Badniks. She continues following Fang, often getting in his way by accident. During the chase through Speed Jungle she trips, drops her remote, and accidentally traps Fang, making him furious. In Lagoon City she tries to activate a trap door against Sonic’s group but fails repeatedly, then falls into it herself. Alone and frightened, she starts crying.

Amy finds her, calms her down, and carries her through part of the zone. At the end Amy gives Trip an apple, making her happy. Trip waves goodbye as Amy rejoins the others.

Later Fang kidnaps Trip. When he tries to take the Chaos Emeralds the heroes have collected, Trip tries to stop him and is kicked aside. Finally pushed past her limit, she stands up in anger, removes her armor for the first time in front of everyone, and uses the Chaos Emeralds to transform into her Golden Dragon form. She breaks into Fang’s giant mech, destroys it, and defeats him. After the battle she returns to normal and is happily reunited with Amy, who introduces her to Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Shy again, Trip puts her helmet back on, then peeks out and smiles.

In the end, Trip escapes the exploding Egg Fortress with Sonic’s group. Back on the Northstar Islands the freed Animals celebrate, and Sonic and Trip shake hands as new friends.

Relationships:

  • Her grandfather: Trip loves and respects her grandfather greatly. Although she gets upset when he scolds her or gets annoyed by her clumsiness. She also doesn't like much when he makes wear her armor. But despite all this, Trip cares for him dearly and apparently doesn't want to disappoint him.
  • Animals: Trip loves playing and having fun with the Animals on the Northstar Islands. She not only loves the animals but everything on the Island as she fought alongside Amy, Tails, Sonic, and Knuckles once she was informed on Fang's evil ambitions to stop him and Dr. Eggman from trying to harm them. Trip was even hesitant when Fang defeated the snake from harming them which proves how much she loves animals and her passion to help them on the island she guards.
  • Amy Rose: Amy Rose found Trip, who was sobbing in distress at the time, who quickly becomes afraid of Amy, only to realize that Amy was trying to help her. After helping Trip on getting out from the trap, Amy and Trip built a friendship together, with Amy giving an apple to Trip, an act of kindness that causes Trip to be overjoyed.
  • Knuckles the Echidna: Sometime after the events of the Northstar Islands incident, Angel Island passed by the Northstar Islands. After noticing this, Knuckles the Echidna decided to go down and give Trip a visit, intending to train her to become a better guardian. At first, things didn't go very well, as Knuckles pushed Trip too hard and made her get emotional and run off. However, after some retrospection, Knuckles decided to give himself another chance at training Trip, apologizing to her and telling her his story. Trip was amazed by his feats despite his situation. The two then made up, with Knuckles reassuring Trip that she'll make a great guardian. The two now have a more positive relationship with each other and Trip looks forward to their next training session.

Powers and abilities: Trip has a double jump ability that allows her to reach heights that some others cannot. Despite her clumsiness she can be quite agile. She also has the ability to stick to both walls and ceilings with her spiky exterior, allowing her to roll up a wall, scale different surfaces or climb on a ceiling.

Weapons and equipment: Trip is seen provoking Fang with a spear before tripping on a vine and dropping it, causing the jerboa to snap it with his foot. Trip is seen with multiple triggers for different traps and a trap door. It is likely these traps were provided by Eggman or Fang and that Fang forced Trip to activate them for him, as Trip struggles with activating them properly and generally doesn't seem to have much technological knowledge, leading to them all backfiring.
