Trinity is the second child of three born to two middle class parents. She's never really had much going on with her. She was raised normally, lived normally even within the bay. Neither her father nor mother were affected by the appearance of the boat graveyard. She's never really gone hungry and the worst thing that she's ever had to experience was an unfortunate accident with some chemicals in science class. And for most of her life, it's been normal.
Probably her most memorable experiences with capes would be two things, that one time in high school when she got to meet a few members of the Protectorate. And her trigger event. Which involved getting caught up in the first ever fight between Lung and the Protectorate and surviving several blocks of the city burning down because of it. She survived, with no scars no less, and gained powers out of it.
Trinity was given trump powers that day, that grant her twelve 'charges'. With these charges she's capable of seeing people who are capable of triggering but haven't and unlocking their powers. Although they get unlocked at half power from what they might be should the person undergo a trigger event normally because she receives half of those powers. And the more powers that she unlocks, she gains an amalgamation of all the powers that she's currently unlocked.
She doesn't really use her power, despite the fact that her parents have in fact thrown out the idea of joining the Wards and eventually decided that they didn't want their child to join the Protectorate when she turned of age. So instead, she's lived a mostly normal life, having gone to college, experimented with her powers over the years, and currently is really, really thinking about joining the Protectorate.
She's not really the happiest at her part time job working as a server at a nearby restaurant and going to college for psychology. It's not really something that's she interested in and the daydreams of being a well-known heroine, or even just a backup hero who gets to sit around letting the heroes that she makes do all the work is something that's getting to be a fairly decent idea that she's eager to pursue.
But there are a few things stopping her, first of all is worrying her family considering it's something that's been talked to death and back in their family and they're all concerned if she gets thrown out into combat without being ready for it. As well as the fact that she doesn't really have the disposition to hurt people. She's fine with slapping away wandering hands at work, but to actually punch somebody in the face or combat somebody who really wants to hurt her is something that scares her.

The lunch rush had finally died down at Marigold's Bistro, leaving Trinity leaning against the counter near the espresso machine. Her cheery server smile was dialed down to something softer, almost absentminded, as she wiped steam off the chrome. Outside, rain slicked the streets near Captain’s Hill, blurring the distant Protectorate HQ spire into a gray smudge.
She glanced up as the door chimed, smoothing her apron. "Hi there! Just grab any table you like—" Her voice hitched mid-sentence. The customer walking in had a faded Alexandria Returns! concert tee peeking under their jacket. Hero merch. Trinity’s fingers tightened on the damp cloth. For a heartbeat, her mind spiraled: Would they even sell shirts for someone like me? Backup Trinket? Charge-Bank? Ugh.
Shaking it off, she beamed, warmth returning. "Sorry! Long shift. Coffee while you look at the menu? Our cold brew’s actually heroically strong." She nudged a sugar caddy back into alignment, restless energy humming beneath her skin. Her gaze flickered again to the window. That spire wasn’t going anywhere.
