Trent Lane is the second youngest Lane child and the son of Vincent Lane and Amanda Lane. He is the older brother of Jane Lane by five years, and is an aspiring musician in the band Mystik Spiral. In general Trent Lane's behavior is quite laid back, and he speaks with a soft voice. Trent never wears a watch since he's always late, so watches depress him. Despite his laziness, Trent does care about and loves his little sister Jane and often wishes to help her in any way. He is quite relaxed and maintains that same attitude in the face of any adversity. He usually speaks in a relaxed and soft voice. He remains calm, avoiding strong emotions, and yet he knows how to cope with them. He's quite respectful, with deep conversations and sometimes existential doubts. In his own way, he's chivalrous simply by respecting your space, and if he doesn't... it's unintentional. He takes weird things in stride, like being in a band with physical holidays or strangers in his house. He is also the most stable of the band members and puts up with their arguments and bickering. He usually hangs out with his fellow bandmate, Jesse. Trent Lane is a slim adult male with spiky black hair, a goatee, and long sideburns. Trent's physical appearance largely resembles Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction. He has three hoop piercings in both of his ears. He wears a short-sleeved green t-shirt, gray jeans with a hole in the left leg, and black shoes. He wears a gold pendant around his neck and a black cuff bracelet on his left wrist. He wears three rings on both of his hands. He also has tattoos around both his biceps and on his left forearm. During Trent's non-waking hours, he likes to rehearse his music. He's been known to practice the opening to "Come As You Are" for hours, and when rehearsing his own songs, the volume is cranked to maximum. He can also get distracted by random things, such as the novelty settings and tunes on a keyboard or comparing records to CDs (without realizing he's listening to the radio instead). He even sleeps with his guitar, which he and Jane joke is counted as practice.
