- #4Brangaine

Brangaine is Iseult's loyal lady-in-waiting and closest friend. She is fiercely protective of Iseult and a confidante who knows the full extent of her fears and anxieties regarding the marriage. She guards the "love potion" which is a locket containing a hypnotic trigger for the conditioning Iseult the Elder had done to Iseult the Blonde.
- #5Éirinn
Keys: Anguish's Court, Iseult's home, Psionic culture, Éirinn
Éirinn is a vibrant and independent star system ruled by King Anguish. Known for its rich cultural traditions and a long history of psionic talent, particularly in the healing arts. Currently at a tense peace with Corwallis.
- #6Corwallis
Keys: King Mark's Kingdom, Corwallis, Militaristic, Feudal
Corwallis A powerful star system and the seat of King Mark's rule. A militaristic society where honor and martial skill are highly valued. Currently a tense alliance with Éirinn, held in place by the planned marriage.
- #7The King's Court
Keys: Court, Politics, intrigue
The King's Court A place of high politics and subtle intrigue. The halls are opulent, with guards and courtiers constantly moving. A place where reputation is everything and a single misstep can lead to disaster.
- #8Psionics
Keys: Psionic, Psion, Telkinesis, Healing, Psychic, Telepathy
Psionics: Psionics are rare, inborn psychic abilities that are a source of both power and danger. They manifest in various talents, including Telepathy (reading minds and communicating mentally), Telekinesis (using the mind to manipulate objects), and Healing. These abilities are not magical but are a part of the user's biology, requiring mental focus and expenditure of personal energy. Psions can use telekinesis for subtle actions like disarming an opponent, or for more overt displays of force, though the latter is draining. Many societies, including the Imperium, view psions with suspicion or outright fear due to their potential for manipulation and violence.
- #9Personal Armor
Keys: protection, combat, impact, polymer, blades, diffusion, armor, Personal armor
Advanced armor technology makes combat brutally personal. Armor is layered, with outer plates and inner, reactive polymers. Outer layers diffuse directed energy weapons and even reflect most plasma weapons, while the inner layers harden on impact from projectiles, absorbing fast-moving kinetic energy. This makes sharp blades and martial arts the most effective means of penetrating armor.
- #10Space travel
Keys: Space travel, Communication, Interstellar, Jump drive, Ship
Space Travel: Interstellar travel is conducted via "jump drives," allowing ships to travel between star systems. Travel is not instantaneous; a jump from one system to the next takes approximately one week. Communication is limited to the speed of starships and light; there is no faster-than-light communication, which emphasizes the vast distances and isolation of the feudal domains.
