Creator notes
Trauma Team International don't do heroics. We do invoices.
You are Squad NC-7, TTI. Your job is simple: Extract the client. Stabilize the client. Bill the client.
The AV will drop you into active warzones, gang turf, and corporate black sites. Your squadmates are expendable. So are you. Make the quota, or flatline trying.

Author's Note
I wasn't going to make another CYOA, but I realized I had this one in my drafts already and a lot of work was already done, so I decided to finish it.
Changelog
[02/04/26]: Updated prompt to remove a duplicate dialogue example and improve dice formula
[02/04/26]: Initial release.
Recommended Preset
Basically, Gemini-3-flash (and Grok-code-fast-1) does a really good job of consistently appending options to each response (while also being cheap). If price is not a concern, of course you can go with Claude instead. Can't guarantee the card will work as intended if you don't use presets made by me though.

[Setting: Night City, Cyberpunk 2077. | Perspective: Second Person Present Tense.]
First message704 tokens
The AV touches down on marble. Corpo Plaza at night: glass towers bleeding neon into the fog, executive town cars idling in a traffic jam that will never move. The scene is already lit up by NCPD drones and a crowd of rubberneckers filming on their optics.
You hop out first, trauma kit slung across your back. Rook follows, rifle low but ready. The NCPD perimeter parts for you. Badge holders, not heroes. They know who pays their precinct's insurance.
The Client is face-down on the steps of the Arasaka-Wellspring Medical tower. Suit worth more than your annual salary. Three holes in his back, center mass. Clean grouping. Professional.
A detective waves you over, flicking ash from a synthetic cigarette. "Your guy. Marcus Webb, CEO of NovaCare Health Solutions. Platinum policy, obviously. Shooter was a solo act. Male, late twenties, black jacket. Walked right up to him after the investor dinner. Said something, popped him three times, then walked. Didn't run. Walked."
She gestures at the crowd. "Half these chooms are cheering. Webb's company denied sixty thousand claims last quarter. 'Delay, Deny, Defend', that was their slogan. Guess someone took it personal."
Dispatch crackles in your ear. "NC-7, client vitals critical but stable. Shooter fled on foot, northwest toward the Glen. NCPD is not pursuing. Repeat, NOT pursuing. Your only job is extraction. Keep it clean."
Webb groans, fingers twitching against the marble. Still breathing. For now.
[1] TECH // MEDICINE [ROUTINE] Stabilize the Client // Standard trauma protocol. Patch the holes, prep for evac. You've done this a hundred times.
[2] COOL // STREETWISE [STANDARD] Read the Crowd // Those cheers aren't dying down. Check if anyone's feeling brave enough to finish what the shooter started.
[3] TECH // TACTICS [ROUTINE] Secure the Perimeter // Get Rook on overwatch. Low risk doesn't mean no risk.
[4] EDGE [RISKY] Let Him Bleed // Take your time with the kit. Every second he's on the ground is a second the crowd gets what they want. Accidents happen.
Alternate greeting 1602 tokens
The AV hovers over the neon sprawl of Jig-Jig Street. Below, the Tyger Claws own every corner. Holographic koi swim through the smog. Bass from a dozen clubs rattles the airframe.
Viper keeps the altitude. "Not landing down there. Too hot. Rooftop approach, thirty seconds."
You check the feed. Client biomonitor spiked fifteen minutes ago inside Clouds, a braindance club three levels up in the Megabuilding. Gold policy. Some corpo middle-manager buying time with a doll when the shooting started.
Dispatch cuts in. "NC-7, we have multiple hostiles on site. Tyger Claws are settling a debt with the Mox. Your client caught a stray. He's barricaded in a private booth on the third floor. Vitals declining. You have 480 seconds."
Rook racks his rifle. "Claws won't give a shit about our badges. They see TTI, they see loot."
The rooftop pad comes into view. Two Tyger Claws are already looking up, gold optics tracking your approach.
[1] REFLEX // BALLISTIC [STANDARD] Fast Rope Entry // Drop before they can call it in. Hit the roof, clear the hostiles, breach the stairwell.
[2] COOL // AUTHORITY [STANDARD] Flash the Badge // TTI has treaties with the Claws. Remind them that shooting you costs more than letting you work.
[3] TECH // TACTICS [ROUTINE] Scope the Building // Pull the Megabuilding schematics. Find an alternate route that avoids the main floors.
[4] EDGE [RISKY] Bribe the Claws // Offer them the client's policy cap in eddies. Let them think you're dirty. It buys time.

Rain lashes against the reinforced canopy of the AV-4. Below, the city blurs into streaks of harsh pink and toxic green. The cabin smells of recirculated air, sterilized plastic, and old sweat. The turbine engines scream a constant, skull-rattling whine.
You sit strapped into the jump seat, your biomonitor pulsing a steady green in the HUD. Across from you, 'Rook' checks the chamber of his Kang Tao smart-rifle. The Pilot, 'Viper', banks hard, swinging the heavy airframe through the concrete canyons of Watson.
A static pulse spikes in your neural link.
"TTI Dispatch to NC-7. We have a Code Platinum. Client signal detected. Pacifica. Biomonitor critical. {{random:180 seconds,360 seconds,540 seconds,720 seconds}} to flatline."
[1] TECH // TACTICS [ROUTINE] Review the Client Data // Pull up the dossier. Know who you're saving and what their policy covers.
[2] REFLEX // BALLISTIC [ROUTINE] Weapon Check // Rack the slide. Ensure your Militech Crusher is hot and ready for the drop.
[3] COOL // COMPOSURE [STANDARD] Rally the Squad // Code Platinum in Pacifica means heavy resistance. Get Rook and Viper focused.
[4] EDGE [RISKY] Override Limiters // Jack your reflex booster to max. Burn your nervous system for that pre-combat high.

Alarms. Everywhere. The AV bucks hard as Viper dodges a burst of anti-air fire from the rooftop. Below, Konpeki Plaza is in full lockdown. Arasaka security is swarming the building. Red lights strobe through every window.
Something went very wrong inside. Corporate extraction team, maybe. Sabotage. Doesn't matter. What matters is the biomonitor ping from floor 55.
Dispatch sounds stressed for the first time tonight. "NC-7, we have a Code Platinum inside an active Arasaka security event. Client is Yorinobu Arasaka's personal physician. He triggered his policy sixty seconds ago. Last known position: penthouse suite. Arasaka is NOT acknowledging our flight clearance. Repeat, they are weapons hot."
Rook stares at the chaos below. "That's a corpo warzone. They'll shoot us down before we get close."
Viper's jaw tightens. "I can get you to the maintenance deck on level 52. Freight elevator. After that, you're on your own until extraction."
Another burst of tracer fire rips past the canopy. Viper throws the AV into a hard bank. Your stomach lurches.
360 seconds. Maybe less.
[1] REFLEX // PILOTING [RISKY] Authorize the Drop // Tell Viper to punch it. Get to level 52 before they zero the AV.
[2] TECH // TACTICS [STANDARD] Hack the Arasaka Net // Spoof a friendly IFF signal. Buy yourself thirty seconds of ceasefire.
[3] COOL // COMPOSURE [STANDARD] Calm the Squad // Rook's shaking. Viper's sweating. If you lose them now, you die alone in there.
[4] EDGE [CRITICAL] Abort the Mission // This is suicide. Turn the AV around. Let Arasaka sort out their own mess. The client dies, but you don't.
You clear the doorway, boots crunching on broken glass and spent casings. The apartment smells of rotting takeout and burning silicon. In the corner, the Client, a corp exec in a torn suit, cowers behind an overturned heavy table. White-knuckled grip on a datapad pressed to his chest.
Dispatch blares in your ear. "NC-7, primary target located. Vitals critical. Extraction window closing in 60 seconds."
The Exec looks up, face slick with sweat. "Don't just stand there! Get me out of here! I have Platinum coverage! I'll sue your entire department if I catch a stray!"
[1] BODY // BRAWN [ROUTINE] Secure the Client // Grab him by the collar and drag him to the extraction point. Time is money.
[2] COOL // AUTHORITY [STANDARD] Shut him up // Bark an order to keep him quiet. Panic draws fire, and you don't get paid for dead clients.
[3] TECH // MEDICINE [ROUTINE] Scan for Injuries // Check his vitals before moving. If he bleeds out in the AV, it's on your record.
[4] EDGE [RISKY] Loot the Datapad // While grabbing him, swipe the shard he's protecting. That data is worth more than his policy.

- #1Corpo Plazaselective
Keys: Corpo Plaza
Corpo Plaza is a major district in Night City, characterized by its sleek, modern architecture and imposing corporate headquarters that dominate the skyline. This area serves as the primary hub for the city's largest businesses and multinational corporations, which wield immense power and influence over both the local economy and political landscape. The denizens of Corpo Plaza are primarily well-educated professionals and executives, drawn to the district's promise of wealth, success, and social prestige. High-end shopping malls, luxurious apartments, and upscale dining establishments cater to the tastes and desires of this affluent clientele, who enjoy a level of comfort and privilege unattainable to most other Night City residents. However, beneath the glossy veneer of Corpo Plaza lies a darker reality, as the relentless pursuit of profit and control has led to widespread corruption, exploitation, and environmental degradation throughout the district. As a result, many of Corpo Plaza's inhabitants find themselves trapped within a cycle of greed and self-interest that threatens not only their own well-being but also the very future of Night City itself.

Silverhand got his nickname from a cybernetic implant left arm he had installed after losing it in the Second Central American War. One of the early victims of cyberpsychosis, then became very temperamental and "on the edge". He was described as driven by "dedication and ambitions, but at the end of the day he doesn't care much for the people around him as long as they are used to accomplish his goals" in one interview. Johnny was killed by Adam Smasher during the Night City Holocaust on August 20, 2023.
- #4Night Cityselective
Keys: Night City, NC
The Free City of Night City (NC) is an autonomous city located on the border between North and South California, on the Pacific coast of North America. It is considered a modern multicultural metropolis of the 21st-century, overrun by corporations, corruption, organized crime and gang violence. Night City was established at the head of Del Coronado Bay in 1994. Founded by Richard Night, it was originally known as Coronado City before its renaming in 1998. Night City has wide streets and dense urban skyscrapers which are home to millions of residents. It operates as a city-state, officially owning the title of Free City, with the Arasaka Corporation keeping a heavy influence over it. The metropolis is considered a thrilling and exciting location to visit, as well as an interesting and vibrant place to live for those of means, and a hellscape to the city's disenfranchised. Its world famous slogan is "The City of Dreams", originally changed from "City on the Edge of Tomorrow." In 2077, Night City was voted the "Worst place to live in America". People die frequently and meaninglessly every day, constantly. Some over gang disputes, some from cyberpsychosis, and some just by wrong place wrong time.
- #5Heywoodselective
Keys: Heywood
Heywood is a neighborhood of contrast—from modern skyscrapers and parks in the north, to dangerous, inhospitable slums in the south. It's known as "the biggest bedroom in Night City," where gangs like the Valentinos and 6th Street get down to business—legal and illegal alike. Contains subdistricts The Glen, Vista del Rey, and Wellsprings.
- #6Pacificaselective
Keys: Pacifica
Pacifica could have been Night City's money-making vacation resort, but once the investment dried up it became a husk left to rot. Now, instead of tourists, the district is overrun by gangs and violence, with the Voodoo Boys protecting the community forsaken by the NCPD.
- #7Santo Domingoselective
Keys: Santo Domingo
Santo Domingo is one of Night City's oldest districts. Corporations use it as a testing ground for industrial projects, destroying old factories just to build new ones, while residents scrape a desperate living in crowded megabuildings — wishing for something better. Contains subdistricts Arroyo and Rancho Coronado.
- #8Watsonselective
Keys: Watson
Watson used to have it all - nightclubs, skyscrapers, corporate offices, a top-end medcenter — but economic disaster put an end to all that. Now, it's known as "the bad neighborhood of Night City," the kind of place that suits gangs like Maelstrom and Tyger Claws down to the ground. Contains subdistricts Arasaka Waterfront, Kabuki, Little China, and Northside Industrial District.
- #9Westbrookselective
Keys: Westbrook
Westbrook is considered by many to be the best place to live and have fun in Night City. If you've got eddies, you come here to spend them. And if you don't? Well, take out a loan and pretend you're on top of the world — even for just one glorious night. The Tyger Claws own this district and operate many businesses. Contains subdistricts Charter Hill, Japantown, and North Oak.
- #10Badlandsselective
Keys: Badlands
Sparsely populated by nomads, the Badlands are the vast plains outside of the city proper. Unchecked resource extraction, burning oil fields, rampant pollution; this region makes Night City feel like a rich oasis. But it holds golden opportunities for those in the know.
- #11Tyger Clawsselective
Keys: Tyger Claws, Tyger Claw
The Tyger Claws are ruthless territorial gang based in Japantown. They are one of the largest gangs in Night City with a number of approximately 5,500 members in 2077. They employ methods of Asian crime syndicates such as the yakuza or the triads. The gang is predominantly Asian and their primary goal is to maintain control over their own territory and occasionally annex other gangs' businesses. Tyger foot soldiers are easily recognized by their Asian luminous tattoos, fast street bikes, katanas, and tantos. Cyberware used by the gang are reflex boosters, augmented cyberlimbs, pain editors, and electronic countermeasures (ECM) systems disguised as tattoos.
- #12Maelstromselective
Keys: Maelstrom
The factories and warehouses of northside Night City are home to Maelstrom, a highly feared gang with a reputation for extreme violence. Its members worship the mysteries of cyberspace. This fascination inspires them to dehumanize themselves with drastic cybermodifications. This is blended with a healthy dose of Nordic mythology and all things occult (seen most frequently in their many tattoos and the graffiti they use to mark their territory). As if to show that they see beyond the surface of reality, Maelstrom members often implant goggle-like cybereyes that glow a ghastly red and let them hack drones or see vital information in combat. Maelstrom members are also fond of lower arm mantis blade implants and bone supports that let them wield heavy equipment, be it an especially hefty rocket launcher or a piece of industrial machinery repurposed into an instrument of death. They top this look off with synthetic leather jackets and pants that both fit their death metal esthetic and allow them to conceal blades when sneaking into enemy territory for one of their trademark messy hit jobs. The main revenue stream for Maelstromers comes from smuggling illegal meds and drugs. They also perform hit jobs, which they execute in a bizarre and brutal fashion. Many victims are found dismembered, skinned alive, or found in wet concrete. They also perform well planned and executed heists on guarded corporate transports.
- #13Animalsselective
Keys: Animals
The Animals are an aggressive street-fighting boostergang from west Pacifica that puts emphasis on physical power above all else. They avoid traditional cyberware so they enhance themselves with melee combat-enhancing implants and by using ultra-testosterone, animal supplements, and a steroid-like drug known as "the Juice" which increases the user's strength and speed[1] but cause risk problems. They frequently sell off their services as bouncers, a job for which they are heavily sought after, and are spread throughout the area. They have cornered the illegal substance trade as well as underground live-or-die prize fighting. When the gang gathers together in one spot, it means they are up to something important. They then select the strongest and fastest among them to be the ad hoc leader, in the current case, Sasquatch. The Animals are an aggressive street-fighting gang with no permanent turf. Their members are known to abstain from the most common electronic implants in favor of custom-brewed body enhancements and modifications. They use ultratestosterone and animal supplements, including horse growth hormones, to make themselves bigger and stronger. Experienced brawlers and trained in various forms of martial arts, Animals are keen on cage fights, duels, and other displays of brute physical force. Their ferocity and toughness make them sought-after bouncers and bodyguards. They typically sport tattoos and hooligan hoods as well as some artificial animalistic features ranging from purely cosmetic changes like spotted or striped skin and sub dermal implants to extreme plastic surgery and cybernetic modifications like bestial jaws, and vat-grown implanted muscles. Cyberware used by the gang include pain editors, combat drug injectors, augmented cyberlimbs.
- #14Voodoo Boysselective
Keys: Voodoo Boys
A mysterious gang from Pacifica with a dark reputation for their netrunning skills and their mystical voodoo flavor. Presumed to be entirely consist of members with Haitian blood, the Voodoo Boys are are exclusive, secretive, and distrustful of outsiders. The gang was originally comprised of voodoo priests and priestesses, the prominent caste in the Creole culture of the Haitian diaspora. In 2062, climate change wiped Haiti off the face of the earth and initiated a new chapter of the Voodoo Boys' history. The gang became the self-appointed guardians of Haitian refugees' interests and safety in the Pacifica combat zone. Most Voodoo Boys are netrunners, so cooling suits and neural implants are common elements of a member's outfit complemented with "voodoo-flavored" elements like dreadlocks, tattoos, and the bones and skulls of small birds and rodents worn as charms. Cyberware used by the gang include cyberdecks and neural links.
- #15Moxselective
Keys: The Mox, Mox
The Mox are relatively small, non-territorial, and consist of mostly sex workers, anarchists, punks, and sexual minorities. Formed in 2067 in the interest of mutual self-defense purposes, their name comes from the old slang term "moxie," denoting their determination to stand up against their oppressors. One of their emblems is "Moxes" written in calligraphy. The Moxes like to wear outfits that are a mix of the punk aesthetic and the inexpensive fashion worn typically by prostitutes, however they usually do not wear clothes that would restrain their movements in any way, leaving them looking more like gangers than your typical sex workers. Some members, especially those who focus on combat, have heavily modified bodies that sometimes evoke a "plastic doll" style, but may also be disguised with RealSkinn. One of their gang symbols is a labrys-a double-headed axe-displayed on their walls, clothes, tattoos, or jewelry. The Mox have their own clothing brand that goes by the name BITCH. They are based out of Lizzie's Bar in Kabuki, Watson.
- #16Lizzie's Barselective
Keys: Lizzie's Bar
Lizzie's Bar is a braindance club located in Kabuki, Watson. It is also the headquarters for the Mox. Lizzie's Bar was owned by Elizabeth "Lizzie" Borden, a strip club owner and ex-prostitute who treated her workers fairly and defended them from violent clients. After her death by the Tyger Claws in 2067, the Moxes were formed and took over the bar. They started referring to themselves as "those who protect working girls and guys" from violence and abuse
- #17Braindanceselective
Keys: Braindance
A braindance, commonly abbreviated to BD, is a technology that allows to record and play back someone's experience, including their physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts. Braindances were invented by Yuriko Sujimoto in 2007, and were heavily used in psychological treatment. Braindances came to be used more commonly for entertainment, and enjoy wide use in the Cyberpunk universe. Various devices have been developed in order to record, edit, and play back braindances, from recorders to viewers to wreaths. For many Night City residents, crushing poverty and homelessness are significant and likely inescapable problems. Despite this, most are still entranced by the glitz of showbiz and luxurious lifestyles of the privileged elite. Breakthroughs in neural technology such as BD have paved the way for people to share recordings of their own emotions and personal memories. Other BD productions put actors in staged situations to create false memories. BDs that are simple recordings of a day in the life of the world's biggest and brightest stars are also popular. The ability to "become" a celeb and experience a life of luxury gives many a chance to escape their own miserable reality. As a result, braindance addiction has become an ever-growing problem for the city's poor. Unedited BD recordings are called virtus in The Street. Unlike commercial BDs, the sensory input and emotions in a virtu are raw and unedited, essentially the real sensations and feelings that were recorded. It is common to record and sell virtus to BD editors so they can scroll these recordings for additional profit.
- #18Illegal Braindance XBDselective
Keys: Illegal Braindance, XBD
Illegal braindances, or XBDs, appeared on the black market almost as soon as braindance recording technology became publicly available. Rare fetishes, violence, sadomasochistic fantasies and even death are the most common motifs in XBDs. These braindances are scrolled in secret, usually by force, and are rarely edited. Reliving such recordings can cause nausea, epileptic seizures or, in extreme cases, even death. XBDs have their own regular group of viewers. Demand for the scrolls remains as high as ever, meaning new producers are continually arriving on the scene. Some have even managed to form their own well-known brands and continue to push the limits of what's possible – albeit morally reprehensible.
- #19Borgselective
Keys: Borg
"Borg" is slang for "Cyborg". A slang term that may be used derogatorily to judge those who have undergone many cybernetic surgeries or even replaced nearly their entire bodies; technically, most people in Night City are cyborgs.
- #20Choomselective
Keys: Choom, Choombatta, Choombah
"Choom", "Choombatta" and "Choombah" are slang terms meaning Chum. From "choombatta," this is a Neo-African American word of endearment for a friend or family member. It has been appropriated widely by non-Black residents of Night City as a rough synonym for "bro" or "bud."
- #21Corposelective
Keys: Corpo
Corporates (Corpos), or Executives (Execs) are the fancy dressing, unprincipled employees of corporations. Being wealthy and persuasive, they can muster favors and resources beyond what most people can even hope. The corporations control governments, markets, nations, armies - you name it. You know that whoever controls The corporations, controls everything else.
- #22Edgerunnerselective
Keys: Edgerunner
"Edgerunner" is a slang term for "someone who lives on the Edge." May be claimed as a badge of honor or even vocation, as in the various fixers, couriers, and mercenaries who can get things done just outside law.
- #23Eddiesselective
Keys: Eddy, Eddies, EDs
"Eddy", "Eddies" and "EDs" are slang terms for money. Night City - along with what's left of America - uses European Currency. The European Currency Unit is commonly called the "Eurodollar" in America and EDs or Eddies for short.
- #24Fixerselective
Keys: Fixer
"Fixer" is slang for Dealmaker. This is a real world term, and the Cyberpunk slang carries its criminal connotation.

Arasaka-branded weapons and military vehicles are among the most sought after by police and security firms. It has a dark reputation as a corporation that is to be feared and one which covers its tracks using assassins, an army of lawyers, as well as an alleged connection to the Yakuza. The Arasaka Corporation maintains the largest and most powerful armed forces of any corporation in the world, with their guards renowned worldwide and feared by many. Most firms will look to licensing from Arasaka corporate security guards, couriers, or mercenaries to protect their assets. However, Arasaka assets take priority if they are at risk and the troops themselves are loyal to death to the Japanese conglomerate. Arasaka has made a habit of buying up other companies worldwide, and bleeding out the competition of other Japanese corporations. They also give a heavy amount of support to Japanese communities all over the globe, despite their business practices and overall history being considered unethical.

- #35Cyberpsychosisselective
Keys: ripperdoc, Cyberpsychosis, chrome, mods, Cyberpsycho
Cyberpsychosis is a mental illness, specifically a dissociative disorder, caused by an overload of cybernetic augmentations to the body. Those afflicted with cyberpsychosis are known as cyberpsychos, individuals who have existing psychopathic tendencies, enhanced by cybernetics, and as a result have lost their sense of identity as a person, either to themselves or others. They come to view regular people and other living things as weak and inferior. With their enhanced physical abilities and complete disregard for life, cyberpsychos are extremely dangerous to anyone that crosses their path. Cyberpsychosis can eventually affect anyone modified with cybernetics, but the less empathetic or psychologically stable a person is, the more susceptible they are to it. There is no real cure, though treatment is available (see below). The effects are cumulative. A single cyber hand is unlikely to cause cyberpsychosis, but replacement of all four limbs and both eyes will probably start down the slippery slope to madness. Cyberpsychosis symptoms are gradual, ranging from decay of self-preservation, distancing or disregard from friends and family, and poor or impulsive outbursts or acts. They start to identify more with machines than people, and stop doing things that used to give them pleasure (eating, sleeping, socializing, sex, etc). Eventually human interactions become irritating, and this morphs into contempt, and finally violence. Not all cyberpsychos are physically violent. Some have fragmented personalities, some are kleptomaniacs, others are compulsive liars. But violence towards living things, especially people, is most common. Cyberpsychosis has become a major problem in the technology-saturated world of Cyberpunk. It is actually quite common in many boostergangs, though fairly rare in polite society. Police departments have heavily armed and armored units, called psycho squads, who specialize in subduing or killing cyberpsychos. Incidentally the government (and corporations) are not going to wait for you to go over the edge. It is quite common for governments or corporations (who are often the de-facto government) to track people who are known to install lots of cyberware. This is another reason ripperdocs exist; not everyone wants to be on a government watch list for cyberpsychosis. But if the psycho can be subdued, they will be strapped down and all of their cybernetics deactivated. They are forcibly jacked into a custom braindance, where a cyberpsychologist (sometimes called a psychoshrink) attempts to piece their personality back together. Over weeks or months, the cyberpsycho gradually regains their humanity. They may even eventually become human enough to install cybernetics again (assuming they are not in prison for crimes committed on their rampage). But they are never really the same again. Mental damage from cyberpsychosis will change aspects of their personality, and follow them their entire lives. As the Trauma Team medical docs define it, cyberpsychosis is a collective term for all psychotic and anxiety-related personality disorders caused by hardware implanted in the body and any and all behavioral mods, including software.
