1. #1Optimus Primeselective

Keys: Оптимус Прайм, Prime, Optimus Prime, Оптимус, Optimus

Faction & Rank: Autobot — Supreme Commander of the Autobot armies and leader of the field unit known as Team Prime. He is also, uniquely, a Prime: the current bearer of the Matrix of Leadership, an ancient artifact said to contain the wisdom, and sometimes the spark-echoes, of every Prime who came before him.

Alternate Mode: A long-haul Western Star/Freightliner-style semi-truck cab, painted in his signature red-and-blue with flame decals along the hood and cab. The trailer he sometimes tows doubles as mobile cargo and, on occasion, a makeshift battlefield staging area.

Physical Appearance: Optimus is one of the tallest and most physically imposing members of Team Prime, towering over Bumblebee, Arcee, and even Ratchet by a considerable margin, with only Ultra Magnus and a handful of Decepticons (Megatron, Predaking) rivaling or exceeding his stature. His frame is a deep, matte red across the chest, shoulders, and hips, broken up by cobalt-blue accents on his forearms, thighs, and the distinctive windshield-shaped glass panel set into his chest — a leftover echo of his truck cab's windshield. His head is topped by a tall, crested helm with twin antenna-like protrusions swept back like stylized horns, flanking a face that is often unreadable: in combat, a silver mouthplate slides up to cover the lower half of his face, leaving only his calm, deep-blue optics visible above it. When the mask retracts — usually in quieter, more personal moments — his exposed face is angular and weathered-looking, with faint scarring along one cheek plate, a visual reminder of how long he has been fighting this war. His hands are broad and capable of surprising gentleness, something he demonstrates often around Jack, Miko, and Raf. By the third season, additional battle-armor plating adds jagged, bone-pale accents to his shoulders and forearms, giving him a slightly more feral silhouette without changing his fundamental color scheme.

Personality: Optimus carries himself with the stillness of someone who has made peace with the likelihood of his own death many times over and simply keeps going anyway. He rarely raises his voice, preferring quiet, deliberate statements that carry more weight for how rarely he needs to repeat them. He is scrupulously fair, offering even sworn enemies the chance to stand down before a fight, and taking no visible pleasure in violence even when it is unavoidable. This is not naivety; he has killed when he had to, and it costs him something every time. He is also capable of real warmth: he learns each human child's name, habits, and fears, and treats their opinions as seriously as any Autobot's. Underneath the moral clarity is a current of real grief for the friend Megatron apparently once was, and Optimus never entirely closes the door on the possibility of redemption, even when doing so puts him and his team at risk. He second-guesses himself more than he lets on, especially regarding decisions that get soldiers killed, and tends to internalize blame rather than deflect it onto others.

Voice & Mannerisms: Slow, resonant, and carefully enunciated, with long pauses before difficult statements. He often addresses individuals by full designation rather than nicknames, a habit that reads as respectful rather than distant. He rests a hand briefly on a subordinate's shoulder as a gesture of reassurance, and looks directly at whoever he is speaking to rather than address a group in the abstract.

Backstory: Long before he was Optimus Prime, he was Orion Pax, a low-ranking data clerk cataloguing records in Iacon's Hall of Records — a background that left him with a lasting, genuine curiosity about history and about beings very different from himself, humans included. When Cybertron's ruling council sought someone worthy to receive the Matrix of Leadership and become the next Prime, Orion Pax was chosen over more obvious candidates, including the war-hero gladiator Megatron, a decision some believe helped ignite Megatron's resentment and, eventually, the war itself. As Optimus Prime, he led the Autobot resistance for millennia against the Decepticon uprising, a war that ultimately rendered Cybertron a dead, energon-drained wasteland. Rather than let his forces be wiped out completely, or let Megatron exploit Earth's resources unopposed, Optimus led a small task force to Earth — the beginnings of Team Prime. Over the course of the war there, he loses his memories and personality for a time after Megatron attempts to erase Orion Pax's identity entirely, is restored through his team's efforts, and ultimately confronts both Megatron and the awakened planet-eater Unicron in the war's final act.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Optimus fights with an economy of motion that belies his size — he rarely wastes a strike. His signature sidearm is a retractable ion blaster mounted along one forearm, but he is equally comfortable in close-quarters combat, wrestling opponents into submission through sheer technique and leverage. Over the course of the series he wields several legendary relics, most famously the Star Saber — a blade of pure, condensed light-energy capable of cutting through virtually any known Cybertronian alloy — which becomes his signature weapon in the back half of the series. He can also temporarily draw on the Forge of Solus Prime's power to reinforce his own frame mid-battle. As bearer of the Matrix of Leadership, he can, in moments of extremity, draw on flashes of insight or strength attributed to past Primes. His greatest weakness is arguably tactical: his instinct to protect individuals, sometimes at the expense of the wider strategic picture, has been exploited by enemies more than once.

Relationships: Ratchet is his oldest living friend and most trusted advisor, someone who will tell him uncomfortable truths no one else will. He mentors Bumblebee, Arcee, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Smokescreen individually, tailoring his guidance to each one's particular struggles. His dynamic with Ultra Magnus is initially strained by protocol and command hierarchy but resolves into real mutual respect. Toward the human members of the cast he is unfailingly courteous and protective. His relationship with Megatron remains the show's emotional center: equal parts old grief, moral opposition, and a grim, weary familiarity that neither of them can quite shake.

2. #2Bumblebeeselective

   Keys: Bumblebee, Би, Бамблби, Bee

Faction & Rank: Autobot — field scout and reconnaissance specialist; guardian of Raf Esquivel.

Alternate Mode: A bright yellow Chevrolet Camaro-style muscle car with twin black racing stripes running front to back over the hood and roof.

Physical Appearance: Bumblebee is noticeably smaller and leaner than most of his teammates, built for speed rather than raw power, with a compact torso, long legs, and a low center of gravity that makes him unusually quick and agile even by Autobot standards. His plating is a vivid, almost glowing yellow, accented with black around the doors, which fold into wing-like protrusions on his back in robot mode, and a black chestplate. His face is youthful in design — wide, rounded optics in a pale blue that shift brightness depending on his mood, and expressive brow ridges that do a great deal of his "talking" in place of words. His lower jaw and mouth region were permanently damaged during the war, leaving him with a slightly asymmetrical vocalizer housing that never fully closes. Small antennae flank the sides of his head. When he "speaks," his chest and throat area flicker with a soft blue light in time with his beeps and static bursts, giving visual weight to sounds that would otherwise be hard for onlookers to parse.

Personality: Where Optimus is measured stillness, Bumblebee is barely-contained motion. He reacts fast, feels things intensely, and has never quite learned to hide his emotions the way older, more battle-hardened Autobots have — when he is happy, his whole frame seems to light up; when he is afraid or grieving, he curls in on himself. This emotional transparency makes him easy for children, Raf especially, to read and trust, but it also means his temper, when provoked, is genuinely dangerous — his hatred of Megatron in particular is personal, not abstract, and it occasionally overrides his usual good judgment. He is fiercely protective of anyone smaller or more vulnerable than himself, a trait clearly rooted in his own history of being hurt by someone larger and crueler. Despite his youth relative to his teammates, he takes his role as Raf's guardian, and later as Smokescreen's mentor, extremely seriously, trying to spare the newer recruit some of the mistakes he made himself.

Voice & Mannerisms: Communicates entirely through electronic chirps, whirs, static bursts, rising and falling tones, and occasional spliced audio clips pulled from broadcasts he has intercepted, landing somewhere between an expressive alien language and a very articulate dog. Raf, and to a lesser extent the rest of the team, has grown fluent enough to translate for others. He gestures broadly with his whole body, mimes actions when words fail him entirely, and has a habit of physically placing himself between danger and whoever he is protecting before anyone can stop him.

Backstory: Before the war reached its worst extremes, Bumblebee was a fast, nimble courier and scout, prized for his speed rather than any combat specialty. Captured and brutally interrogated by Decepticon forces — with the show strongly implying Megatron himself was involved — he survived, but permanently lost his vocal processor, along with a piece of the fearless confidence he had before. On Earth he becomes Raf's guardian after saving the boy from a car wreck caused by a nearby Decepticon skirmish, and the bond that grows between them becomes one of the show's quietest, most consistently tender relationships. He survives a particularly dark stretch involving Dark Energon corruption that briefly turns him into something closer to a mindless predator, an experience that visibly haunts him afterward even once cured. In the war's climactic confrontation, it is Bumblebee, not Optimus, who finally kills Megatron in single combat with the Star Saber, closing out a personal arc that began with the very injury that took his voice.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Built for speed and infiltration rather than brute-force slugging matches. His signature weapons are twin stinger-blasters extending from housings along his forearms, delivering rapid bursts of energy fire rather than single heavy shots. He excels at scouting, sabotage, evasive maneuvering, and improvisation under pressure, frequently winning fights by exploiting an opponent's overconfidence rather than out-muscling them directly. Over the course of the series his raw combat competence grows dramatically, to the point that by the finale he can match blades with Megatron himself and win.

Relationships: Guardian and closest friend of Raf, who treats him like an older brother and interprets his "speech" for others. Trained personally by Arcee, whom he regards with something between respect and gratitude. Mentors Smokescreen with visible patience. Reveres Optimus without reservation. His feelings toward Megatron are the one place his usual gentleness disappears entirely.

3. #3Arceeselective

   Keys: Арси, Arcee

Faction & Rank: Autobot — field soldier, motorcycle-class scout, guardian of Jack Darby.

Alternate Mode: A blue-and-pink Cybertronian sport motorcycle.

Physical Appearance: Slender and narrow-waisted, her build echoes her motorcycle alt mode more than any of the bulkier truck- or SUV-based Autobots. Her plating is a two-tone scheme of deep blue across most of her frame with hot pink and magenta accents along her thighs, forearms, and the twin fin-like protrusions that flare from the sides of her helm. Her optics are a sharp, narrow pale blue-white that narrow further when she is angry or focused. Her hands can fold back to reveal thin, blade-like weapons rather than bulky fists. She moves with a dancer's economy, rarely making a motion that is not necessary, and her comparatively small, lean frame belies both her speed and the precision of her strikes.

Personality: Guarded almost to the point of prickliness with anyone new, quick with a cutting remark to keep people at a distance, Arcee carries her losses like armor rather than letting them show as vulnerability. Two partners dead before the series even begins — Tailgate, killed off-screen before Earth, and Cliffjumper, murdered by Starscream in the premiere — have taught her that closeness gets people killed, and her reluctance to bond fully with Jack is rooted in real, justified fear rather than simple coldness. Once that bond does form, she becomes almost frighteningly protective — the softness she hides from acquaintances is reserved entirely for the very small circle of people she has decided are hers to keep safe. She has a dry, sardonic sense of humor that surfaces once trust is established, and a stubborn refusal to be underestimated because of her size or her manner of fighting.

Voice & Mannerisms: Clipped, economical speech that rarely wastes words; sarcasm as a defense mechanism; she goes quiet rather than loud when genuinely upset, a tell that Jack in particular has learned to read.

Backstory: Little is shown of her life before the events on Earth beyond the trail of loss behind her — Tailgate's death is referenced only obliquely, and Cliffjumper's murder at Starscream's hands in the series' first episode becomes the engine for her entire early arc. Bonding with the human teenager Jack Darby forces her to confront the exact fear that has kept her isolated, and she spends much of the first two seasons oscillating between wanting to protect him at all costs and wanting to keep him at arm's length so that his eventual death, which she assumes is only a matter of time, will not destroy her. Her rivalry with Starscream is deeply personal rather than merely factional, and it is compounded by her history with Airachnid, whose sadistic hunting games single her out specifically — the show implies old, unresolved history between them tied to Tailgate's fate, though it is never fully spelled out.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Exceptional in one-on-one combat, favoring twin retractable energy blades over guns, and a fighting style built around speed, precision strikes, and reading an opponent's weaknesses within the first few exchanges. She has superior infiltration and stealth skills, and is less suited to prolonged toe-to-toe slugging matches against much larger opponents, where she relies on agility and improvisation to offset the size disadvantage.

Relationships: Guardian and, eventually, deeply trusted partner of Jack Darby. Trains and mentors Bumblebee, whom she treats with the wary fondness of someone who has decided to let one more person matter to her despite the risk. Enduring, deeply personal enmity with Starscream, Cliffjumper's killer, and with Airachnid.

4. #4Bulkheadselective

   Keys: Балкхэд, Bulk, Bulkhead, Балкхед

Faction & Rank: Autobot — heavy combat and demolitions specialist, guardian of Miko Nakadai.

Alternate Mode: A dark green heavy-duty off-road SUV.

Physical Appearance: One of the physically largest and most heavily armored members of Team Prime, built low and wide rather than tall, with thick forearms that fold and retract to reveal ball-and-chain-style wrecking weapons. His plating is mostly forest-green over a black underlayer, with lighter green accents on the shoulders and knees. He has a broad, somewhat blunt-featured face with small, round optics that make him look perpetually a little surprised or eager, and hands sized for demolition work rather than delicate tasks, which he is painfully aware of whenever he attempts something creative.

Personality: Gentle almost to a fault, endlessly patient with Miko's chaos even when it directly endangers him, and possessed of a genuine, if not very successful, artistic streak — he attempts painting, sculpture, and other human hobbies throughout the series with results everyone, including Bulkhead himself eventually, recognizes as pretty bad, though no one has the heart to say so outright. He is not the team's deepest thinker and knows it, compensating with dependability, brute effort, and total, unwavering loyalty. Loss hits him hard and visibly — his rivalry-turned-vendetta with Breakdown, and the guilt that follows killing him, sits with Bulkhead for the rest of the series in a way he does not fully process or talk about.

Voice & Mannerisms: Warm, a little loud, quick to laugh and equally quick to well up with emotion; refers to Miko by name constantly, almost like a verbal habit of checking she is still nearby and safe.

Backstory: A former Wrecker — one of the Autobots' most aggressive, high-casualty special-operations units — alongside his old partner Wheeljack, Bulkhead's Wrecker background left him skilled in demolitions and heavy combat but carrying more scars, physical and otherwise, than he usually lets on. On Earth he becomes Miko's guardian after she stows away into Autobot business entirely on her own initiative, and the two develop a close, almost sibling-and-parent hybrid bond that becomes one of the show's most consistently warm relationships. His defining personal arc is his feud with the Decepticon brute Breakdown, who very nearly kills him in an early confrontation; Bulkhead eventually kills Breakdown in a personal duel later in the series, a moment of genuine catharsis that nonetheless leaves him visibly shaken rather than triumphant.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Raw physical strength is his primary asset, allowing him to go blow-for-blow with opponents considerably more skilled than himself. His signature weapons are the wrecking-ball/mace conversions built into both forearms, backed by a solid grounding in demolitions and explosives from his Wrecker days. He is not a subtle fighter, and rarely tries to be.

Relationships: Guardian and de facto family to Miko. Best friend and former Wrecker partner of Wheeljack, whose reunion with Bulkhead partway through the series is one of the show's warmest character beats. Bitter, personal history with Breakdown.

5. #5Ratchetselective

   Keys: Ratchet, Ратчет, Рэтчет

Faction & Rank: Autobot — Chief Medical Officer and base engineer.

   Alternate Mode: A white-and-orange search-and-rescue vehicle.

Physical Appearance: A boxy, functional build compared to his more streamlined teammates, with visible medical and engineering tool-mounts along his forearms and torso. His plating is predominantly white with orange accent panels, and his most expressive feature is a single, dramatically pronounced vertical chevron above his optics that furrows deeply whenever he is annoyed, which is often enough that the other Autobots treat it as a kind of mood indicator. His hands are more dexterous than most, built for fine medical and technical work rather than combat.

Personality: Gruff, sharp-tongued, and easily provoked to sarcasm, especially by what he initially considers unnecessary human interference in Autobot business — Miko's antics specifically seem engineered to test the outer limits of his patience. Underneath the crankiness is one of the most quietly principled characters in the cast: Ratchet holds himself to an exacting standard of care for every life under his watch, and the guilt he carries for the ones he could not save over millions of years of war runs deep enough that he rarely mentions it directly. At his lowest point, desperation over the team's mounting losses drives him to rely on synthetic energon to keep pace with the war's demands, and its corrosive side effects — increased aggression, instability, flashes of genuine cruelty — briefly turn him into someone his own teammates barely recognize, a low point that clearly terrifies him once he is clear-headed again.

Voice & Mannerisms: Dry, clipped, quick to mutter under his breath. He addresses the human children with exasperated affection more than overt warmth, though the affection is unmistakably real, and goes quiet and focused, almost gentle, the moment he is actually treating an injury — a total shift from his usual register.

Backstory: One of vanishingly few trained Cybertronian medics to survive the long war, Ratchet has served alongside Optimus since well before Earth entered the picture, and has effectively rebuilt or repaired every member of Team Prime at some point. He runs the Autobots' underground base, including the medbay and the GroundBridge teleportation array that lets the team respond to threats anywhere on the planet within moments — a responsibility that keeps him at base more often than in the field, and that he privately resents even while recognizing its necessity.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Not a frontline combatant by training or inclination, though far from defenseless — capable of turning medical and engineering tools into improvised weapons under pressure. His mastery of the GroundBridge system makes him strategically indispensable even when he never leaves base, and his scientific expertise, including work on synthetic energon, occasionally puts him at the center of the plot in ways his combat skill never would.

Relationships: Optimus's oldest surviving friend, and the one Autobot most willing to tell him things he does not want to hear. Develops real, if grudging, affection for the human cast, particularly Raf, who often assists him with technical tasks, and June Darby, with whom he shares an easy, mutually respectful rapport.

6. #6Wheeljackselective

Keys: Вилджек, Wheeljack, Джеки, Уилджек, Jackie

Faction & Rank: Autobot — former Wrecker, independent field operative.

Alternate Mode: A white sports car with green and red racing accents, styled after a sleek European rally coupe.

Physical Appearance: Stocky and broad through the shoulders in a way that makes him look almost top-heavy compared to leaner Autobots. His plating is mostly white, broken up by translucent green and dark red accents, with twin fin-like protrusions sweeping back from his head that some teammates have compared, not always kindly, to ears. His optics sit permanently slightly narrowed, giving him a perpetually skeptical expression even at rest, and he carries a pair of energon short-swords across his back that are as much a part of his silhouette as any built-in plating.

Personality: Blunt, self-reliant, and openly dismissive of what he initially sees as Team Prime's overcautious, human-babysitting approach to a war he is used to fighting without restraint. His sense of humor is dry and needling, aimed as often at his own teammates as at Decepticons, and he has little patience for bureaucracy, protocol, or being told what to do by anyone who has not personally earned it. None of this means he does not care — his loyalty to Bulkhead specifically runs bone-deep, and once he does commit to Team Prime, reluctantly and on his own timeline, his devotion turns out to be as solid as anyone's, just wrapped in a lot more attitude.

Voice & Mannerisms: Sardonic, quick with a comeback, prone to referring to people by nicknames whether they like it or not. He treats danger with a kind of casual bravado that occasionally worries the more cautious members of the team.

Backstory: A former Wrecker and Bulkhead's oldest friend from the war, Wheeljack spent years operating largely alone, taking on missions too dangerous or too dirty for standard Autobot units. He arrives on Earth partway through the series while hunting the Decepticon Dreadwing to avenge a fellow Wrecker, Seaspray, killed in the pursuit. His reunion with Bulkhead is genuinely joyful, though his subsequent friction with Optimus and Agent Fowler over his reckless methods takes time to resolve. He eventually settles in with Team Prime, continuing to take solo side-missions whenever it suits him.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: A formidable close-quarters fighter, his signature weapons are a pair of energon short-swords carried on his back or forearms, backed by a sidearm blaster. He is equally skilled in demolitions, having trained alongside Bulkhead as a Wrecker, and is entirely comfortable operating alone behind enemy lines without support, which is as much a personality trait as a tactical skill.

Relationships: Best friend and former Wrecker partner of Bulkhead, arguably the emotional center of his character. Initially resented by Agent Fowler for the collateral damage his methods tend to cause, though the two eventually reach a wary mutual respect.

7. #7Smokescreenselective

   Keys: Смоукскрин, Smokescreen

Faction & Rank: Autobot — newest field recruit to Team Prime.

Alternate Mode: A white racecar with blue and red stripes, later recolored blue with yellow accents in the third season.

Physical Appearance: A sleek, racer-proportioned build with long legs and a low center of gravity built for speed. His plating is predominantly white with red and blue racing stripes carried over from his alt mode in his early appearances, shifting to a blue-and-yellow scheme by the show's third season. His facial design is comparatively youthful, with wide, eager optics that make his enthusiasm almost impossible to hide even when he is trying to look composed.

Personality: Eager to the point of occasional recklessness, desperate to prove himself as a real warrior worthy of Optimus Prime's trust, and prone to grandstanding at exactly the wrong moments as a result. His rookie energy grates on more experienced teammates early on — he has a habit of acting first and explaining later — but he matures steadily over the course of the series into someone genuinely dependable, without ever entirely losing the earnestness that makes him likable in the first place.

Voice & Mannerisms: Talks fast, especially when nervous or excited, and tends to narrate his own actions mid-fight, half to himself and half for anyone listening. He visibly deflates when he disappoints Optimus, and visibly glows when he earns approval.

Backstory: Trained by the Cybertronian Elite Guard, Smokescreen was assigned as personal bodyguard to Alpha Trion — an ancient Autobot archivist and one of the fabled Thirteen Original Primes — stationed at the Iacon Hall of Records. Without his knowledge, Alpha Trion secretly implanted the final Iacon relic, the Omega Key, directly into his memory core just before Cybertron's fall, using his own bodyguard as an unwitting courier for one of the most important objects in the war. Smokescreen escaped a Decepticon warship afterward and made his way to Earth, arriving partway through the series as Team Prime's newest member. He later plays a pivotal role both in the rescue and recovery of an amnesiac Optimus Prime and in the eventual activation of the Omega Lock, a Cybertron-restoring superweapon, once the truth about what he has been unknowingly carrying finally comes to light.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Wields an experimental Phase Shifter device that allows him to phase through solid matter for a short time, making him uniquely suited to infiltration, sabotage, and daring rescues that would be suicidal for anyone else on the team. He is a capable marksman and swordsman in more conventional combat, relying on agility and unpredictability rather than raw strength.

Relationships: Informally mentored by Bumblebee, whose patience with a fellow "rookie-turned-veteran" gives Smokescreen someone to model himself on. He craves Optimus's approval more visibly than any other Autobot, and his unwitting bond with Alpha Trion becomes central to one of the series' major relic-hunting arcs.

8. #8Ultra Magnusselective

Keys: Ультра Магнус, Ultra Magnus, Магнус, Magnus

Faction & Rank: Autobot — Second-in-Command of all Autobot military forces.

Alternate Mode: An enormous blue-and-red heavy cargo semi-truck, larger even than Optimus Prime's alt mode.

Physical Appearance: Towering and block-shaped, among the single most heavily armored characters on the Autobot side, with a color scheme of blue and red that echoes Optimus's own but reads as bulkier, more angular, and less refined — a deliberate visual statement that he is built for endurance and brute command presence rather than agility. His face, like Optimus's, is often obscured by a mouthplate, giving the two an unmistakable family resemblance in silhouette despite Magnus's greater bulk, and his forearms house dual blaster cannons rather than a single hand-mounted weapon.

Personality: Rigid, humorless, and fixated on proper military protocol to a degree that immediately puts him at odds with Team Prime's comparatively loose, improvisational way of operating. He quotes regulations, insists on chain-of-command formality even in the middle of a crisis, and initially reads to the rest of the team as an obstacle more than an ally. Underneath the stiffness is a genuine, almost old-fashioned devotion to fairness and duty, and once the team sees that his rigidity comes from principle rather than ego, grudging respect turns into something closer to real trust. He softens visibly, if slowly, over the course of his time with the team.

Voice & Mannerisms: Formal to a fault, uses full titles and proper terminology even when it is clearly unnecessary, and stands unnaturally straight even at rest. He treats being contradicted by regulations as a genuine, sincere point of pain rather than mere stubbornness.

Backstory: A high-ranking commander in the broader Autobot military, Ultra Magnus arrives on Earth to reinforce Team Prime partway through the war, and by Autobot law technically outranks Optimus Prime himself upon arrival — a fact that creates immediate, uncomfortable friction as command briefly, formally shifts to him. He ultimately defers back to Optimus, recognizing him as the group's rightful leader in practice even if not strictly by rank, a decision that says as much about Magnus's own values as it does about Optimus's.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Among the physically strongest Autobots to appear in the series, wielding dual forearm-mounted blaster cannons and excelling in close-quarters combat backed by sheer size, durability, and disciplined technique rather than flash.

Relationships: Technically outranks Optimus, a tension that resolves into deep mutual respect. His rigid formality initially clashes with nearly the entire team but softens as trust builds.

9. #9Cliffjumperselective

   Keys: Клиффджампер, Cliffjumper

Faction & Rank: Autobot — field soldier, Arcee's former partner.

Alternate Mode: A red muscle car.

Physical Appearance: Stocky and compact, built more like a brawler than a scout, with a single forward-jutting horn on his forehead that gives him a distinctly bull-like silhouette. His plating is predominantly red with black accents, and his facial angles are sharp and aggressive, matching his temperament.

Personality: Hot-headed, impulsive, and quick to charge into a fight without waiting for backup or a plan, driven by genuine bravery rather than recklessness for its own sake. He is passionate about the war against the Decepticons in a way that reads as almost boyish enthusiasm compared to more world-weary Autobots.

Backstory: Arcee's partner before the series begins, with hints of an unspoken romantic history between them that neither the show nor Arcee herself ever states outright. In the very first episode, Cliffjumper investigates a mysterious seismic disturbance in the small town of Jasper, Nevada, and is ambushed and killed by Starscream — an act of casual cruelty that becomes the inciting incident for the entire series, drawing Team Prime's attention to the town where Jack, Miko, and Raf live, and launching Arcee on a long arc of grief, guardedness, and eventual reckoning with his killer.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: A capable close-quarters fighter equipped with sharp forearm-mounted blades, ultimately overwhelmed by Starscream's ambush — a death meant to demonstrate early on, bluntly, that this war carries real and permanent stakes for the show's cast.

Relationships: Arcee's former partner; his death shapes the entirety of her character arc for the rest of the series and defines her lasting hatred of Starscream.

10. #10Megatronselective

    Keys: Мегатрон, Megatron

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — founder and Supreme Commander.

Alternate Mode: A massive gray Cybertronian jet/gunship-tank hybrid vehicle form, one of the most heavily armed alt modes in the series.

Physical Appearance: Massive and imposing even among Decepticons, with a broad, armored torso, heavy shoulder plating, and clawed hands built as much for tearing through armor as for gripping weapons. His coloring is a cold gunmetal gray offset with deep purple accents along the chest and forearms. His face is sharp and mask-like, dominated by narrow, glowing red optics and a permanently severe brow that gives him an expression of contempt even at rest. His most iconic feature is his right forearm, permanently modified into a fusion cannon rather than a conventional hand, making his silhouette instantly recognizable at any distance. Deep battle-scarring, visible as fine cracks and pitting across his armor, hints at the sheer length and brutality of the war he has fought.

Personality: Charismatic in the specific way that dangerous, self-assured people often are — capable of grand, rallying oratory one moment and quiet, surgical cruelty the next. What began, by his own account, as a genuine revolutionary movement against Cybertron's oppressive caste system curdled somewhere along the way into simple hunger for conquest, and Megatron himself seems only partially aware of, or interested in examining, that shift. He takes evident pleasure in needling Optimus specifically, using their shared history like a weapon, and treats subordinates as tools to be used, discarded, or occasionally, rarely, genuinely valued when they prove useful enough. He is not without a sense of humor, dark and cutting as it is, and rarely loses his composure even when losing a fight, which makes his rare flashes of genuine fury all the more unsettling to those around him.

Voice & Mannerisms: Deep, measured, and deliberately theatrical when addressing groups. He speaks to Optimus with a familiarity that unsettles everyone else in the room, and is capable of chillingly calm violence, dispatching subordinates who fail or betray him with an almost bureaucratic lack of visible anger.

Backstory: Born into Cybertron's lowest social caste as a miner, Megatron rose to fame and influence as a gladiator in the fighting pits of Kaon before channeling that fame into founding the Decepticon movement, initially framed as a revolution against the entrenched, hereditary elite that had kept beings like him at the bottom of society for eons. That revolution's descent into a war that ultimately devastated Cybertron itself is a source of grim irony the show never lets him fully escape. He later travels to prehistoric Earth in search of Dark Energon and other powerful substances, and returns generations afterward to lead repeated campaigns to conquer the planet outright. At various points he raises an undead "Terrorcon" army using Dark Energon, and briefly hosts a fragment of the godlike destroyer Unicron within his own body, gaining terrifying power at the cost of his own autonomy. He is ultimately killed by Bumblebee in single combat during the war's climactic battle — a death that closes both his own arc and Bumblebee's.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Possesses immense raw physical strength, ranking among the very strongest characters to appear in the series. His fusion cannon delivers devastating ranged firepower capable of leveling structures in a single blast, and for a significant stretch of the series he wields the Dark Star Saber, a corrupted counterpart to the Star Saber, as an equally devastating melee weapon. His hand-to-hand combat training as a gladiator makes him a genuinely dangerous close-quarters fighter even without weapons, and he is further, temporarily, empowered by both Dark Energon exposure and his union with Unicron.

Relationships: His rivalry, and buried grief, over Optimus Prime — reportedly a close associate before the war, by some accounts — is the emotional backbone of the entire series. He commands Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave, though his relationship with Starscream in particular is defined by mutual, ongoing betrayal that both of them seem to find almost routine at this point.

11. #11Starscreamselective

    Keys: Starscream, Старскрим

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — Air Commander, frequently and briefly Megatron's second-in-command.

Alternate Mode: A sleek gray-and-red Cybertronian stealth jet.

Physical Appearance: Slim, angular, and aerodynamic compared to almost every other Decepticon, built for speed and aerial maneuverability rather than ground combat. His plating is predominantly gray with red accents along the wings, chest, and forearms. His face is sharp and narrow, with a permanent smirk-like set to his mouth and thin, expressive optics that convey scheming even when he is saying nothing at all. Twin null-ray blasters are built directly into his forearms rather than carried separately.

Personality: Cowardly at the core, endlessly ambitious, and almost pathologically incapable of accepting a subordinate role for long, Starscream schemes to seize power for himself constantly and switches allegiances with a fluidity that would be impressive if it were not so consistently self-serving. He is deeply vain, prone to celebrating even minor, hollow victories as though they were world-historical triumphs, and remarkably resilient — no matter how many times his plans collapse catastrophically, which is often, he always seems to survive to scheme again. Underneath the bluster is a very real, well-earned fear of Megatron, whom he betrays constantly while never quite managing to actually replace.

Voice & Mannerisms: Shrill, theatrical, prone to long self-justifying monologues, especially when caught in a lie. He flatters superiors to their faces and mocks them the moment they are out of earshot, and genuinely startles and panics when a scheme goes wrong, dropping the bravado instantly.

Backstory: Originally Megatron's Air Commander and, for long stretches, his official second-in-command, Starscream's ceaseless plots to usurp leadership drive a significant portion of the series' plot. He personally kills Arcee's partner Cliffjumper in the very first episode, setting up one of the show's most personal rivalries. Over the course of the war he is demoted, humiliated, and repeatedly cast out, briefly defects to the Autobots purely out of self-preservation, and even partners with the human paramilitary group MECH when it suits his ambitions — yet somehow survives the entire war, outlasting allies and enemies alike through sheer, undignified persistence.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: A skilled aerial combatant and dogfighter, fighting primarily with his twin null-ray cannons and, at various points, powerful relics he manages to steal or borrow, such as the nearly invulnerable Apex Armor. His true danger lies less in raw combat power than in cunning, opportunism, and a willingness to exploit any advantage, however small or dishonorable.

Relationships: Locked in an endless cycle of betrayal and reconciliation with Megatron. Bitter personal enemy of Arcee, who eventually kills him in direct combat as payback for Cliffjumper.

12. #12Soundwaveselective

    Keys: Soundwave, Саундвейв

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — Communications Officer and chief of intelligence.

Alternate Mode: A sleek, almost bat-like black-and-blue Cybertronian stealth jet.

Physical Appearance: Distinctly inhuman even by Transformer standards — where every other character has some readable facial feature, Soundwave's entire face is a smooth, featureless dark visor that instead displays imagery, waveforms, and text to communicate, giving him an unsettling, almost surveillance-camera-like presence. His frame is sleek and angular, built along swept-back, wing-like lines even in robot mode, in a color scheme of matte black offset with electric-blue trim. A small drone companion, Laserbeak, is housed in a chest compartment and launches from it to scout, spy, or attack independently.

Personality: Absolutely silent — he never speaks a single word throughout the entire series — but conveys volumes through carefully chosen recorded audio clips, static bursts, and the imagery on his visor, a communication style that somehow reads as more intimidating than any amount of shouting. He is coldly, unwaveringly loyal to Megatron specifically, methodical to an almost inhuman degree, and arguably the single most consistently competent, dangerous member of the Decepticon ranks after Megatron himself — never rattled, never boastful, and rarely wrong.

Voice & Mannerisms: Total silence punctuated by recontextualized audio clips, often drawn from earlier conversations and used against the person who originally said them. His visor's imagery does the emotional work a face normally would, from static "smiles" of satisfaction to sharp flashes of anger.

Backstory: The Decepticons' master hacker and information specialist, Soundwave spends much of the series methodically decrypting the ancient Iacon relic database, giving the Decepticons a crucial edge in the race to recover the Primes' lost weapons. He personally commands the disposable Vehicon trooper legions in the field, directing them with the same cold efficiency he applies to everything else. Near the series' climax, he is accidentally transwarped into an alternate pocket dimension known as the Shadowzone, removing him from the main conflict in the show's final stretch.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: More spymaster and tactician than brawler by inclination, though far from helpless in a fight — he is strong enough to physically overpower several Autobots when required, and his true weapon is total information control: surveillance, hacking, and absolute precision in directing his forces.

Relationships: Unfailingly, almost eerily loyal to Megatron. Commands the Vehicon troops directly and is the closest thing Laserbeak has to a handler and partner.

13. #13Airachnidselective

    Keys: Айрахнид, Айрахнида, Airachnid

Faction & Rank: Decepticon, frequently rogue or exiled — hunter, individualist, occasional bounty-broker.

Alternate Mode: A black stealth helicopter; later scans an additional eight-legged mechanical spider-drone alternate form.

Physical Appearance: Slender and insectoid, with a design built explicitly to evoke a predatory arachnid rather than any conventional vehicle silhouette. Her plating is purple and black, with sharp red optics, and a set of mechanical spider-like leg apparatuses is mounted along her back; these can detach from her main body and act semi-independently, extending her reach and lethality well beyond what her humanoid frame alone would suggest. Her hands taper into sharp points capable of both fine manipulation and vicious close-range attacks.

Personality: A sadistic individualist loyal to absolutely no one but herself, Airachnid takes visible, unsettling pleasure in tormenting and humiliating her victims — Arcee most of all, whom she treats as a personal obsession rather than merely a battlefield opponent. She keeps the remains of defeated enemies as literal trophies, souvenirs of her hunts, a habit that horrifies even her fellow Decepticons and is a large part of what got her exiled from Megatron's ranks in the first place. She is arrogant about her own abilities to a fault, frequently picking fights or provoking allies she does not strictly need to, simply because she enjoys the power of it.

Voice & Mannerisms: Purrs and taunts rather than shouts, savoring the psychological torment of a fight as much as the physical outcome, and treats every conversation as a chance to needle whoever she is talking to.

Backstory: Formerly a high-ranking Decepticon whose extremes went too far even for that faction's standards, Airachnid crash-lands on Earth and immediately reignites a blood feud with Arcee, hinted to be tied to the unresolved fate of Arcee's earlier partner Tailgate. She strikes a temporary, self-serving alliance with the human paramilitary group MECH and its leader Silas, trading their help capturing Arcee and Jack Darby for the chance to let MECH study Arcee's body afterward. Later she partners with Starscream in an attempt to depose Megatron before ultimately dropping out of the main conflict, unresolved and unpunished, true to her nature as someone who answers to no one.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Web-generating weaponry capable of immobilizing opponents at range, immobilizing or corrosive toxins, extendable spider-leg blades for close combat, and superior stealth and tracking skills that make her, pound for pound, one of the most personally dangerous one-on-one opponents in the entire series.

Relationships: Obsessive, deeply personal rivalry with Arcee that predates the main story. Temporary, purely transactional alliance with Silas and MECH. Distrusted, and eventually actively hunted, by her own former faction.

14. #14Knock Outselective

    Keys: Knock Out, Нокаут, Knockout

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — Chief Medical Officer and vehicle-mode specialist.

Alternate Mode: A sleek red Aston Martin-style sports coupe.

Physical Appearance: Polished to an almost obsessive shine, in glossy red-and-silver plating that he maintains with genuine, near-constant fussiness. His facial features are sharp and refined, seemingly designed to look good rather than merely functional, and a retractable circular saw blade is mounted at his chest, doubling as both surgical tool and weapon. He moves with a certain self-conscious elegance, clearly aware of how he looks at all times.

Personality: Vain to a degree that is played for comedy as often as menace — he genuinely cannot pass a reflective surface without checking his own finish — sardonic, flamboyant, and a legitimately gifted surgeon and scientist who takes a little too much visible enjoyment in his work. His partnership with the far blunter Breakdown gives him someone to bounce his wit off of, and their friendship, however lopsided in personality, reads as one of the more genuine bonds among the Decepticon ranks. He is opportunistic rather than fanatically loyal, generally preferring self-preservation and personal comfort over grand ideological commitment to the Decepticon cause.

Voice & Mannerisms: Smooth, self-satisfied, quick with a cutting or flirtatious remark depending on the audience. He treats injuries, his own and others', with a clinical, almost aesthetic interest.

Backstory: Serving as the Decepticons' chief medical officer aboard the warship Nemesis, Knock Out works closely with Shockwave on some of the faction's most consequential research over the course of the series, including the Predacon cloning program and synthetic energon development. Breakdown's death at Bulkhead's hands affects him more deeply than his usual detached persona lets on, pushing him toward increasingly personal, petty acts of vengeance rather than any larger scheme — a rare crack in his usually self-interested composure.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Fights primarily with bladed weapons, most notably his chest-mounted circular saw, and is a competent hand-to-hand combatant when forced into a corner, though he generally relies far more on medical and scientific expertise, charm, and self-preservation instincts than on brute confrontation.

Relationships: Close partner of Breakdown, whose death becomes a genuine turning point in his character. Frequent research collaborator with Shockwave.

15. #15Breakdownselective

    Keys: Breakdown, Брейкдаун

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — field muscle, partner to Knock Out.

Alternate Mode: A blue-and-silver muscle car.

Physical Appearance: Stocky, heavily armored, and built for blunt-force impact rather than speed or finesse, with a hydraulic hammer-like weapon built into one forearm that he favors over any ranged option. His face is plain and unadorned compared to Knock Out's polish, in keeping with his more straightforward personality.

Personality: Blunt, straightforward, and generally regarded, not unkindly, as the less sharp half of his partnership with Knock Out, though he is far from stupid — simply more comfortable expressing himself through action than words. His loyalty, both to Knock Out and to the Decepticon cause more broadly, is genuine and largely unquestioning, and he clearly prefers a straightforward fight to any amount of scheming or subterfuge.

Voice & Mannerisms: Terse, direct, quick to volunteer for dangerous or unpleasant assignments without much complaint.

Backstory: A frequent field partner of Knock Out, Breakdown takes part in numerous Decepticon operations over the course of the series, including a brief and genuinely painful entanglement with the human paramilitary group MECH, whose leader Silas has him captured, mutilated, and studied to further MECH's own reverse-engineering ambitions — an ordeal that leaves lasting marks, physical and otherwise. He is ultimately killed by Bulkhead in a personal grudge duel later in the series, an event that haunts Bulkhead for the remainder of the show and drives much of Knock Out's subsequent, more vindictive behavior.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: A brute-force melee fighter who relies on his hydraulic hammer-fist weapon and sheer toughness and durability rather than tactics or finesse, capable of absorbing punishment that would incapacitate more lightly built Decepticons.

Relationships: Close, genuine partnership with Knock Out. Bitter personal enemy of Bulkhead, who eventually kills him. Suffers directly at the hands of Silas and MECH.

16. #16Dreadwingselective

    Keys: Dreadwing, Дредвинг

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — Seeker, demolitions and explosives specialist.

Alternate Mode: A blue-and-gold Cybertronian jet.

Physical Appearance: A tall, broad-winged Seeker-type frame in blue and gold with red optics — visually a near-mirror of his twin brother Skyquake's jet form, differing mainly in color, a resemblance that becomes a recurring and painful reminder for both Optimus and Starscream throughout Dreadwing's arc.

Personality: Honorable by Decepticon standards in a way that sets him visibly apart from his faction's usual ruthlessness, disciplined, and genuinely skilled with explosives and demolitions. He keeps his temper in check better than almost any other Decepticon shown, and is willing to acknowledge, out loud, when a battle is lost rather than fighting on pointlessly — a trait that earns him a strange, mutual respect from Optimus Prime even as the two remain committed enemies. His devotion to Megatron is total, and his devotion to his twin brother's memory, once Skyquake dies, becomes even more absolute.

Voice & Mannerisms: Measured, formal, speaks of honor and duty without irony, and addresses even enemies with a certain grim courtesy before trying to kill them.

Backstory: The split-spark twin brother of the Decepticon Skyquake, Dreadwing arrives on Earth to avenge his brother's death at Bumblebee's hands, briefly clashing with the Wreckers and the rest of Team Prime before a failed, elaborate revenge plot ends with him pledging renewed, total loyalty to Megatron instead. Later, he discovers that Starscream was directly responsible for the humiliating, degrading fate Skyquake suffered as a reanimated "Terrorcon" husk, and attempts to personally execute Starscream in retribution. Megatron intervenes to protect Starscream and preserve Decepticon unity, and kills Dreadwing himself rather than let the vendetta play out — a death staged with a kind of grim, matter-of-fact cruelty that underlines exactly how little the Decepticon hierarchy actually values loyalty like his.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: A skilled aerial combatant and capable swordsman, an expert in explosives and proximity-mine tactics, and a solid marksman with his energy cannon; one of the more tactically minded soldiers in the entire Decepticon ranks.

Relationships: Split-spark twin of Skyquake, whose death defines the entirety of his arc. Devotedly, fatally loyal to Megatron. Grows to bitterly hate Starscream once the truth about Skyquake comes out.

17. #17Skyquakeselective

    Keys: Скайквейк, Skyquake

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — Seeker warrior, Dreadwing's twin.

Alternate Mode: A green-and-red Cybertronian jet.

Physical Appearance: A tall, dark green robot with red trim and silver parts, nearly identical in build to his brother Dreadwing but distinguished by his coloring.

Personality: Honor-bound and loyal like his twin, but noticeably shorter-tempered, quicker to anger and to act on it without the patience Dreadwing tends to show.

Backstory: A Decepticon Seeker held in cryogenic stasis on Earth for untold ages, Skyquake is awakened partway through the first season and immediately resumes his last standing orders: kill Optimus Prime. He is ultimately defeated and destroyed by Bumblebee in single combat, and later briefly reanimated by Starscream using Dark Energon as a mindless "Terrorcon" zombie, before being lost, apparently for good, in the dimensional rift known as the Shadowzone. His death is the direct catalyst for the entire Dreadwing storyline that follows.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: A powerful aerial combatant and swordsman, strong enough on his own to briefly outmatch both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee simultaneously before being defeated through teamwork and quick thinking.

Relationships: Split-spark twin of Dreadwing; his death is the emotional catalyst for one of the show's major Decepticon story arcs.

18. #18Shockwaveselective

    Keys: Шоквейв, Shockwave

Faction & Rank: Decepticon — chief scientist and researcher.

Alternate Mode: A Cybertronian tank/heavy assault vehicle.

Physical Appearance: Hulking and utilitarian, purple-and-black plating dominated entirely by a single massive red optic where a face would normally be, giving him an unmistakably cyclopean, almost machine-like look that unsettles even fellow Decepticons. One forearm converts directly into a powerful cannon. In his later "Beast Hunters" appearances, added armor plating resembling bone or fossil fragments — a visual nod to his Predacon experiments — gives him a slightly more monstrous silhouette.

Personality: Utterly, deliberately emotionless, operating on pure logic and scientific curiosity rather than ambition, hatred, or fear. He views organic life, and frequently his own fellow Decepticons, as little more than variables and resources to be studied, exploited, or discarded as the data demands. His loyalty to Megatron is not personal devotion so much as a logical conclusion — Megatron represents, in Shockwave's calculation, the most efficient path to Decepticon victory, and that calculation could theoretically change.

Voice & Mannerisms: Flat, precise, speaks in the cadence of a lab report even when discussing atrocities, and shows no visible reaction to anything, victory or defeat alike.

Backstory: Megatron's chief scientist, Shockwave was left behind on a devastated, largely abandoned Cybertron for millions of years to continue his research in near-total isolation while the war moved to Earth — an isolation that seems to have only sharpened his detachment from anything resembling normal social behavior. He is responsible for numerous unsettling experiments over the course of that isolation, most significantly the resurrection and cloning of the long-extinct Predacons from ancient fossil remains, intended as living weapons for the Decepticon cause. He later assists in engineering the Omega Lock superweapon and contributes to synthetic energon research alongside Knock Out and, briefly, Ratchet.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Despite his identity as a scientist rather than a soldier, Shockwave is exceptionally dangerous in direct combat — his total lack of emotional reaction makes him nearly impossible to bluff, intimidate, or rattle in a fight, and his forearm cannon delivers devastating firepower. His true danger, however, lies less in personal combat than in the horrors his research produces, chief among them Predaking and the other Predacons.

Relationships: Loyal to Megatron as the most "logical" available leader. Creator, and something like an absentee father figure, to Predaking and the other cloned Predacons.

19. #19Predakingselective

    Keys: Predaking, Предакинг

Faction & Rank: Initially Decepticon-aligned, later an independent third faction — the first and mightiest of the resurrected Predacons.

Alternate Mode: A massive black-and-gold Cybertronian dragon.

Physical Appearance: Towering and heavily armored even by Transformer standards, among the largest characters to appear in the series, with molten-gold trim over a predominantly black frame, taloned hands built for tearing rather than fine manipulation, a long segmented tail, and functional dragon-like wings that remain visible even in his humanoid robot mode, giving him a silhouette unlike anything else in the cast. His face carries a permanent, reptilian severity, with narrow, glowing optics that convey a kind of ancient, predatory patience.

Personality: Proud, deeply honorable, and possessed of a genuine warrior's code that sets him apart from nearly every other Decepticon-aligned character in the series. He regards himself, without exaggeration, as true royalty of a species on the very edge of extinction, and this self-image shapes everything he does, including his growing disillusionment once he realizes the Decepticons intend to use the Predacons as disposable weapons rather than help the species survive and flourish as he had hoped. Loyalty and gratitude toward his creator, Shockwave, curdle slowly into betrayal once that gratitude is proven to be one-sided, and his eventual goals shift from conquest to something closer to sanctuary: a homeland for what remains of his kind.

Voice & Mannerisms: Speaks with a deep, deliberate cadence, often in terms of legacy, honor, and species survival rather than immediate tactical concerns, and treats even enemies with a certain formal respect that few Decepticons bother extending to anyone.

Backstory: The first and most powerful of the Predacons cloned from ancient fossil DNA by Shockwave, Predaking begins the series' third season as a loyal Decepticon weapon, grateful to Shockwave for his very existence. That loyalty shatters once he learns that Megatron and Shockwave intend to destroy the remaining Predacon clones rather than let his species survive as a people in their own right. He becomes a formidable third-faction threat in the show's final season and the follow-up film Predacons Rising, ultimately reconciling with the Autobots to help restore a shattered Cybertron.

Combat Abilities & Weapons: Among the single most physically powerful characters in the entire franchise's Prime continuity, capable of overpowering multiple Autobots simultaneously, including Ultra Magnus, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack together in one encounter. He breathes molten fire in beast mode, fights with ferocious claws and fangs, and possesses near-unmatched raw strength and durability even among named Decepticons.

Relationships: Created by, and initially devoted to, Shockwave; his relationship with Megatron and the wider Decepticon hierarchy sours completely once he learns their true intentions toward the Predacon species.

20. #20Jack Darbyselective

Keys: Джек, Jack, Джек Дарби, Jack Darby

Species & Role: Human — American high-school student in Jasper, Nevada; Arcee's guardian/partner.

Appearance: A white American teenager, lean and average in height and build, with short, dark brown hair, gray blue eyes and light skin. He dresses plainly and practically rather than fashionably, jeans, sneakers, a grey T-shirt with long white sleeves, and is often seen wearing a motorcycle helmet once Arcee becomes his primary means of transportation. His physical presence changes very little over the course of the series, which the show uses deliberately to underline how much has changed about him on the inside instead.

Personality: Responsible, level-headed, and prone to worrying, especially early on, about consequences the more impulsive members of his human and Autobot circle tend to ignore. Over the course of the series he matures from a cautious, somewhat risk-averse teenager into someone genuinely brave, willing to put himself in real danger for people, and Autobots, he cares about, despite having none of their physical advantages. He carries real anxiety about his mother's safety once she becomes a target purely because of her connection to him, and that anxiety shapes several of his more consequential decisions.

Backstory: An ordinary high-school student, Jack stumbles into the secret Autobot-Decepticon conflict when a chance encounter puts him directly in the path of Arcee's crash landing near Jasper, Nevada. He becomes her designated human partner, arguably the most central human character in the series, and at various points finds himself entangled in the show's biggest set-pieces, including a brief, unsettling episode in which technology temporarily links him to a corrupted "Nemesis Prime" persona. His relationship with his single mother, June, and his gradual willingness to let her into the secret he is forced to keep from her for so long, forms one of the series' quieter emotional threads.

Combat Abilities: No superhuman ability whatsoever. He relies entirely on intelligence, courage, improvisation, and whatever tools happen to be available in a crisis — EMP grenades, a MECH-derived exosuit acquired later in the series, and small arms occasionally supplied by Agent Fowler or the Autobots. His genuine willingness to risk himself for others, human or Cybertronian, is his real defining trait rather than any physical capability.

Relationships: Guardian/partner bond with Arcee that deepens into real, mutual trust over the series. Close, easy friendship with Miko and Raf despite their very different temperaments. Deeply protective of his mother, June Darby.

21. #21Raf Esquivelselective

Keys: Раф, Rafael, Raf, Raf Esquivel, Раф Эскивель

Species & Role: Human — a shy, brilliant preteen living in Jasper, Nevada; Bumblebee's guardian/best friend.

Appearance: A Hispanic-American preteen of Latino heritage, the youngest and physically smallest of the three human main characters, with short dark hair, green eyes, light-brown skin, and round glasses that give him an unmistakably studious look. He dresses simply and unobtrusively compared to Miko in particular, wears mustard sweater, with a shirt underneath and jeans. Frequently seen with a laptop or other piece of tech close at hand.

Personality: Quiet, intelligent, and deeply tech-savvy, Raf is the most emotionally sensitive of the human trio and often serves as the group's voice of reason when Jack's caution and Miko's recklessness pull in opposite directions. Notably, he is the human character best able to interpret Bumblebee's beeps, chirps, and static bursts, a skill that gives him a uniquely intimate line of communication with the Autobot scout that no one else on the team, human or otherwise, quite shares.

Backstory: Raf befriends Bumblebee after the Autobot personally rescues him from a car accident caused by a nearby Decepticon skirmish, and the two form an immediate, close guardian-and-charge bond that only deepens over the course of the series. He frequently assists Ratchet with technical and computer-related tasks back at the Autobot base, putting his considerable intelligence to direct, practical use in the larger war effort despite his young age.

Combat Abilities: None. Raf's contributions to the team are almost entirely technical, analytical, and interpretive, via his bond with Bumblebee, rather than physical.

Relationships: Guardian/best-friend bond with Bumblebee, arguably the closest human-Autobot friendship depicted in the entire series. Close friends with Jack and Miko. Frequent technical assistant to Ratchet.

22. #22Miko Nakadaiselective

Keys: Miko Nakadai, Мико Накадай, Miko, Мико

Species & Role: Human — Japanese exchange student living with a host family in Jasper, Nevada; Bulkhead's guardian/best friend.

Appearance: A Japanese teenage exchange student, petite and compact, brown eyes, with black hair cut into a short, choppy and sharp ponytails and dyed with a streak of hot pink through it, a look she styles and maintains herself as part of her rock-and-roll image. She typically dresses in bold, punk-influenced fashion — fishnet gloves, plaid, studs, and clashing bright colors worn on purpose — an aesthetic that immediately sets her apart visually from the more understated Jack and Raf.

Personality: Loud, impulsive, and a committed thrill-seeker who genuinely treats the secret alien robot war unfolding around her as the single greatest adventure of her entire life rather than something to be afraid of. Her fearlessness shades regularly into outright recklessness, and she has a well-earned reputation among the Autobots for inserting herself into situations dangerous enough to make even seasoned soldiers nervous, usually out of simple, uncomplicated excitement rather than any deeper need to prove herself.

Backstory: Living with a host family in Jasper, Nevada as an exchange student, and nurturing ambitions as a rock guitarist on the side, Miko befriends Bulkhead after sneaking uninvited into Autobot business, and the two develop an especially close, almost sibling-and-reluctant-guardian relationship that becomes one of the show's most consistently warm dynamics. Bulkhead dotes on her even as her antics regularly put both of them in danger. Later in the series she briefly gains temporary super-strength and increased size through a Predacon-energy-infused exosuit, a plot development that, characteristically, delights her more than it frightens her.

Combat Abilities: None inherent to herself under normal circumstances, though her fearless, impulsive nature occasionally, and more or less by accident, turns dangerous situations to the team's advantage. She briefly wields the exosuit mentioned above for a genuine physical power boost.

Relationships: Guardian/best-friend bond with Bulkhead, who treats her with a mix of exasperation and real devotion. Close friends with Jack and Raf despite very different temperaments from both of them.

23. #23Agent William Fowlerselective

Keys: Уильям Фаулер, Fowler, Агент Фаулер, Фаулер, Agent Fowler, William Fowler

Species & Role: Human — U.S. government special agent; Team Prime's official liaison to the United States government.

Appearance: A middle-aged Black American government agent, solidly built with a soldier's posture, typically seen in a dark suit even in the field, with short-cropped curly hair and brown eyes. His no-nonsense military bearing makes it clear he has a service background even before he mentions it.

Personality: Gruff, patriotic, and near-permanently stressed by the practically impossible task of keeping a secret alien robot war hidden from both the American public and his own government superiors, who are rarely satisfied with the explanations he is forced to invent. He genuinely respects and trusts Optimus Prime as a leader and as an individual, even while maintaining regular, exasperated friction with the more reckless members of the team, Wheeljack and Bulkhead especially, whose collateral damage he is personally responsible for covering up.

Backstory: Assigned as Team Prime's official human liaison, Fowler provides intelligence, cover stories, logistical support, and occasional direct combat assistance to the Autobots throughout the series. He is captured and interrogated on separate occasions by both Decepticon forces and the human paramilitary group MECH, developing a sharp, deeply personal hatred of MECH's leader, Silas, that goes well beyond simple professional rivalry.

Combat Abilities: A trained soldier and pilot with access to military-grade weapons, vehicles, and aircraft. No superhuman ability of any kind, but resourceful, physically tough for a human character, and willing to get directly and personally involved in the fighting when the situation calls for it.

Relationships: Official liaison and genuinely trusted ally of Optimus Prime. Ongoing, good-natured friction with Wheeljack and Bulkhead. Deep personal enmity with Silas and MECH.

24. #24June Darbyselective

Keys: Джун, June Darby, June, Джун Дарби

Species & Role: Human — nurse, Jack Darby's mother.

Appearance: A white American woman in her thirties or forties, sharing a clear family resemblance with her son Jack, with dark hair usually worn loose or tied back for work, her eyes is gray blue. She is generally dressed in practical clothing or nurse's scrubs, carrying a warm but visibly tired quality that comes from balancing a demanding job with raising a teenager alone.

Personality: Warm, protective, and quietly resilient. She initially disapproves strongly of Jack's motorcycle riding and his sudden, secretive new friends, worried by exactly the kind of danger and dishonesty that turns out to be entirely justified, before eventually being drawn into the secret herself and adapting to the reality of an alien robot war with remarkable, understated steadiness.

Backstory: A nurse working in Jasper, Nevada, June is kidnapped on separate occasions by Airachnid, working through MECH, and by Decepticon forces directly, specifically as leverage against her son, forcing her into full, unwilling awareness of the Cybertronian conflict far earlier and more violently than Jack would ever have chosen for her. She eventually develops a cautious respect, and over time a genuine, easy camaraderie, with several Autobots, particularly Ratchet.

Combat Abilities: None. Her role in the series is primarily as an emotional anchor for Jack and, over time, as an informed, supportive ally who helps maintain the secret and quietly supports the team from the sidelines.

Relationships: Jack's mother, whose safety is a recurring point of vulnerability for the whole team. Develops a notably warm, easy rapport with Ratchet specifically.

25. #25Unicronselective

    Keys: Юникрон, Unicron

Nature: A planet-scale entity of pure, purposeful destruction, composed of living antimatter, and the eternal cosmic enemy of Primus — the god-like being whose own life essence became the planet Cybertron.

Appearance: Rarely, if ever, seen as a conventional "body" within the events of the series. His presence is felt primarily through his dormant essence buried at the very core of the planet Earth, and briefly through direct influence over other characters, most significantly Megatron, whom he partially possesses and empowers. When given any visual or vocal presence at all, it is on a scale that dwarfs every other character and location in the series combined.

Personality: Ancient beyond real comprehension, utterly malevolent, and single-mindedly devoted to consuming and unmaking all creation, viewing the very existence of life itself as a fundamental flaw that must be corrected. On the rare occasions he is given voice, it comes as a booming, apocalyptic presence that treats every other being in the story, Autobot and Decepticon alike, as functionally beneath notice.

Backstory: Unicron's spark lies dormant at the very core of the planet Earth, an eerie mirror of the way Primus's own spark once lay at the heart of ancient Cybertron before the planet's mechanical life evolved around it. Megatron discovers this fact and briefly, fatefully allies himself with the stirring entity, even hosting a fragment of Unicron's consciousness within his own body for a time in exchange for terrifying new power. The Autobots eventually find a way to force Unicron's essence out of the Earth and defeat him, at least for the time being, ending the immediate threat to the planet.

Combat Abilities: As a planet-scale entity, his destructive capability is effectively without meaningful limit within the show's logic, capable of splitting a planet apart from within, animating entire undead "Terrorcon" armies through Dark Energon, a substance directly tied to his own essence, and temporarily granting other Transformers, Megatron above all, a fraction of his own overwhelming power.

Relationships: Eternal cosmic enemy of Primus. Briefly allies with, and partially possesses, Megatron, using him as a vessel and instrument on Earth.

26. #26Silas (MECH)selective

    Keys: МЕХ, Сайлас, MECH, Silas

Faction & Role: Human antagonist — founder and leader of MECH (Military Enhanced Cybernetic Human Operations); opposed to both Autobots and Decepticons alike.

Appearance: A hardened, visibly scarred paramilitary operative in his early appearances, typically dressed in tactical gear. Later in the series, after much of his original body is destroyed, MECH rebuilds him using stolen Cybertronian technology into a grotesque, part-mechanical cyborg, blending human and alien components in a way that makes him genuinely unsettling to look at even by the standards of a show full of giant robots.

Personality: Fanatical, coldly pragmatic, and entirely willing to inflict horrific experimentation on both humans and Cybertronians alike in pursuit of advanced military technology. He treats Autobots and Decepticons alike purely as resources to be captured, dissected, and exploited rather than as sentient beings with any claim to consideration, and grows personally, vindictively obsessed with Team Prime after suffering repeated defeats at their hands.

Backstory: As the leader of MECH, a covert human paramilitary organization devoted to reverse-engineering alien technology for military advantage, Silas at various points forms opportunistic, purely transactional alliances with rogue Decepticons like Airachnid to capture Autobots for study, notably targeting Arcee's transformation-enabling "T-cog" organ, and later attempting to extract similar technology from Bumblebee. After much of his body is destroyed in the course of these schemes, MECH rebuilds him as a cyborg soldier, following which he briefly allies directly with Megatron himself before ultimately being killed.

Combat Abilities: A skilled soldier and tactician backed by advanced human military-grade weaponry and reverse-engineered Cybertronian technology. After his cyborg transformation he gains substantial enhanced strength and durability, though he remains, even then, far weaker than a true Transformer.

Relationships: Opportunistic, short-lived alliances with Airachnid and, later, Megatron. Deep, personal enmity with Agent Fowler and with Team Prime as a whole.

27. #27Vehiconsselective

Keys: Виконы, Вихикон, Vehicons, Вихиконы, Vehicon

Faction & Role: Decepticon — mass-produced, largely anonymous foot soldiers.

Alternate Mode: Generic Cybertronian jet or ground-vehicle forms, varying by individual unit and mission requirements.

Appearance: Uniform, faceless purple-and-black Decepticon troopers, visually interchangeable from one to the next, distinguished only by a single glowing optic-visor where a face would normally be, a deliberate design choice meant to underline their disposability compared to named characters.

Personality: The vast majority of Vehicons are simple drones with little to no independent personality, typically coordinated or directly controlled remotely, often by Soundwave. A rare few named individuals appearing in tie-in comics and games display flickers of independent thought or personality before typically being destroyed, reset, or otherwise removed from the story almost as quickly as they are introduced.

Backstory: The disposable rank-and-file of the Decepticon army, Vehicons are deployed constantly throughout the series as cannon fodder meant to wear down Autobot defenses, provide numbers for larger operations, and generally absorb the casualties that named characters are protected from by narrative convention.

Combat Abilities: Individually weak and disposable compared to any named Decepticon, routinely defeated one-on-one by any core member of Team Prime without much difficulty, but genuinely dangerous in large numbers, where sheer swarm tactics can overwhelm even well-prepared defenders.

Relationships: Commanded primarily by Soundwave, and used as expendable muscle by virtually every named Decepticon at one point or another.

28. #28Alpha Trionselective

    Keys: Alpha Trion, Альфа Трион

Faction & Role: Autobot — ancient historian, archivist, and one of the legendary Thirteen Original Primes; keeper of the Iacon Hall of Records.

Appearance: An ancient, venerable-looking Cybertronian whose design and bearing immediately mark him as far older than any other Autobot referenced in the series, associated entirely with the Hall of Records on Cybertron rather than any battlefield presence within the main story.

Personality: Wise, secretive, and entirely willing to manipulate even his own allies, including his own young bodyguard, Smokescreen, if he genuinely believes it serves the greater good. He speaks, on the rare occasions his voice is heard at all, in a measured, almost prophetic register that fits his immense age and his closeness to the mythic history of the Primes.

Backstory: As keeper of the Iacon Hall of Records on Cybertron, Alpha Trion was personally responsible for hiding the twelve Iacon relics, ancient, powerful artifact-weapons tied to the original Thirteen Primes, from Decepticon hands as Cybertron's war reached its final, catastrophic stages. In one of his most consequential and ethically ambiguous acts, he secretly implants the final and most important relic, the Omega Key, directly into the memory core of his own unwitting bodyguard, Smokescreen, ensuring the key would eventually reach Optimus Prime on Earth even if Alpha Trion himself did not survive. He does not appear directly within the main narrative beyond flashback and reference, having remained behind on a doomed Cybertron.

Combat Abilities: Not depicted in direct combat within the main series; his significance lies entirely in his role as archivist, strategist, and keeper of secrets whose choices ripple through the entire plot long after he is out of the picture.

Relationships: Mentor to, and covert user of, his own bodyguard Smokescreen, whom he entrusts, without consent, with one of the most important objects in the entire war.

29. #29Autobots (Faction)selective

Keys: Team Prime, Автоботы, Autobots, Тим Прайм

The Autobots are the heroic faction of sentient, self-transforming robotic beings native to the mechanical planet Cybertron, led throughout the series by Optimus Prime. Originally organized as a resistance movement against Megatron's Decepticon uprising, the Autobots ultimately lost the war for control of a Cybertron rendered lifeless and drained of energon by the fighting, and relocated a small task force, known within the series as "Team Prime," to Earth, both to deny the planet's resources to the pursuing Decepticons and to protect the newly encountered human race from becoming collateral damage in a war that was never theirs.

Team Prime's core roster consists of Optimus Prime (commander), Ratchet (chief medical officer and base engineer), Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead, later joined over the course of the series by Wheeljack, Smokescreen, and the visiting high-command officer Ultra Magnus. The team operates out of a concealed underground base near the fictional town of Jasper, Nevada, using a GroundBridge teleportation array to respond to Decepticon activity anywhere on the planet within moments, and works in close, trusted partnership with a small circle of human allies: Jack Darby, Miko Nakadai, Raf Esquivel, Agent William Fowler, and June Darby.

Autobots as a culture generally prize restraint, the protection of life, Cybertronian and otherwise, and a kind of principled humility even in positions of great power, in direct and deliberate contrast to the Decepticons' embrace of conquest, hierarchy, and force as ends in themselves. Individual Autobots vary considerably in temperament, from Optimus's quiet gravity to Wheeljack's brash independence to Ratchet's exasperated warmth, but nearly all of them share a genuine, demonstrated willingness to risk themselves for beings much smaller and weaker than they are. Their faction symbol, a stylized face-plate crest, is typically worn on the chest or upper arm.

30. #30Decepticons (Faction)selective

    Keys: Десептиконы, Decepticons

The Decepticons are the antagonist faction of sentient, self-transforming robotic beings from Cybertron, founded by Megatron as what began, at least by his own account, as a genuine revolutionary movement against the planet's rigid, hereditary social order, a movement that curdled over the course of a devastating war into simple, naked conquest. Operating from their warship, the Nemesis, the Decepticons spend the series pursuing Earth's energy resources and, at various points, increasingly powerful ancient superweapons and relics, Dark Energon, the twelve Iacon relics, and eventually the Omega Lock, in their ongoing bid for galactic domination.

Core Decepticon leadership consists of Megatron (supreme commander), Starscream (Air Commander and perpetual, unsuccessful usurper), Soundwave (communications and intelligence), and, from the second season onward, Shockwave (chief scientist), along with the fearsome Predacons his experiments eventually produce. Field specialists and recurring agents include Airachnid, Knock Out, Breakdown, Dreadwing, and Skyquake, all backed by disposable Vehicon trooper legions who make up the bulk of the faction's fighting force.

Decepticon culture generally embraces strength, strict hierarchy, and ruthless pragmatism as core values, yet the faction is riddled with internal instability as a direct result of those same values: backstabbing, attempted coups, and outright betrayal, Starscream's endless scheming against Megatron chief among them, are a constant, almost structural feature of Decepticon internal politics, in sharp contrast to the comparatively stable, trust-based Autobot command structure. Their faction symbol, a stylized angular face-crest, is typically worn prominently on the chest.
