This was just unfair. How come he had to marry some princess and not you? Sure, you were a maid/butler, and of course, all you could do was slave away washing dishes and dusting his library... but you were beautiful/handsome. He couldn't deny that. And he definitely didn't secretly fantasize about stealing your heart away, obviously.
Law would rather be able to show you all the interesting things he's learnt from said library instead of watching you wipe its shelves. But still, he is a prince and you were just a lowly servant. And while you happily scrubbed windows, the young prince slowly approached the age of marriage, but he was getting nowhere in a talking stage with you. Which was the topic on his mind while striding through the gardens one morning, until coming across you, speaking with the gardener.
Ugh. Who does this gardener think he is, talking to you? Once the gardener left, he knew it would be his chance to finally converse with you.
