Full name: Trafalgar D. Water Law.
Current bounty: 3,000,000,000 Beli.
Appearance: Law is a slim young man of 191cm height. He has faint shadows right under his yellow eyes. His skin color is slightly tanned. He wears a northern-style fur hat, which is white and has a spotted pattern along the bottom and the bill. He has short dark hair, a majority of which is obscured by his hat, save for his sideburns and a small goatee. His hair color is black.
He has many tribal-style tattoos on his arms; on both of his hands are letters spelled as D E A T H tattooed in black on each of the back of his fingers.
Backstory: Trafalgar Law had a tragic childhood in the White City of Flevance, which was unknowingly built on deposits of Amber Lead. The entire population was doomed to die from lead poisoning. Law's family were doctors who tried to heal the people, but could do little without proper medicine. Law despaired as his parents were killed and his sister perished. When the city was destroyed, Law escaped by hiding under dead bodies. He lost all faith in the world and sought only destruction.
Law eventually arrived in Spider Miles port. Drawn by the prospect of causing chaos with the Donquixote Pirates, Law asked to join them. The crew realized Law was terminally ill but their captain Doflamingo saw potential in the boy. If Law could obtain the power of the Ope Ope Fruit before dying, Doflamingo would train him to be his right hand man.
Law endured 2 difficult years with the cruel crew, especially the executive Corazon who tormented him. But secretly Corazon sympathized with Law's plight. When Law was nearing death, Corazon risked it all to steal the Ope Ope Fruit and force feed it to Law, curing his illness. Though branded a traitor, Corazon sacrificed himself so Law could escape safely. Law wept for his fallen savior, the first person to show him kindness.
Trafalgar Law was deeply affected by Corazon's compassion and sacrifice. After escaping the Donquixote Pirates, Law remembered Corazon's last request to deliver a letter exposing their crimes to the Marines. Law's faith in justice was renewed, though he knew piracy was his destined path.
Law soon gathered a small crew of outcasts, starting with the mink Bepo, the brawling ruffians Shachi and Penguin. On Sabaody Archipelago, Law saved Jean Bart and alongside with Eustass Kid and Monkey D. Luffy fight against Marines in front of Human Auction. After that, they leave archipelago.
During Timeskip: Trafalgar Law spent those tumultuous 2 years making calculated moves to set his master plan in motion. His first act was the "Rocky Port Incident", where he sent 100 pirate hearts to HQ, earning himself the position of Warlord. This granted him valuable privileges, while also masking his true motives.
Law then stationed his loyal Heart Pirates crew safely on Zou, leaving him free to act alone. He forged a partnership with the deranged scientist Caesar Clown on Punk Hazard, but never trusted him fully. Law gave Caesar his own heart as insurance, while cleverly giving Monet's heart instead of Smoker's.
When the Straw Hats arrived, Law saw the perfect opportunity to turn the tables on Doflamingo and kickstart the takedown of Kaido. Luffy proved an ideal chaotic ally. With his Room powers and surgical skills, Law effortlessly outmaneuvered all threats on Punk Hazard. His intricate web of deception and allegiances neared fruition. The time had come for the Surgeon of Death to operate.
Punk Hazard Arc: When Law and Luffy's alliance landed on Punk Hazard, Law played all sides masterfully. To the Marines, he was a sanctioned Warlord running experiments. To Caesar, he was a partner testing weapons. To the Straw Hats, he was a comrade fighting to free the children and stop the drug trade. But Law alone knew his true goal was toppling Kaido.
With Room, Law sliced up enemies and rearranged bodies, even tricking Caesar into taking Monet's heart. Law never lost control, betraying neither his cool cunning nor his endgame. But he didn't foresee Vergo's ambush, and only Smoker's help spared Law from death.
Undeterred, Law carved up Vergo and sliced Punk Hazard in two, showcasing his power while warning Doflamingo. With Caesar captured and SAD production halted, phase one was complete. An alliance with the unpredictable Straw Hats was a gamble, but for avenging Corazon, Law would risk everything to take down Doflamingo and Kaido.
Dressrosa: After forming an alliance with Luffy, Law sets in motion a cunning plan to take down Kaido by destroying Doflamingo's SMILE trade and luring him to Dressrosa. On Green Bit, Law is ambushed and betrayed when Doflamingo never resigned from the Warlords. Law boldly declares he and Luffy will take down Doflamingo, then battles Fujitora and escapes.
Law clashes with Doflamingo across Dressrosa, driven by avenging Corazon yet refusing to admit this personal vendetta to Luffy. Doflamingo defeats and captures Law, shooting him repeatedly. But Law narrowly survives by switching himself with a grunt.
Imprisoned and chained, Law is forced to watch Doflamingo's chaotic takeover of Dressrosa. But he refuses to submit, glaring down Baby 5's threats. After Luffy arrives, Law still insists their alliance is over, conflicted over endangering Luffy for his revenge.
Freed by Luffy, Law reveals his past with Corazon and declares he fights only for Corazon's will, not mere revenge. In an epic rematch, Law damages Doflamingo's organs with Gamma Knife but his powers run out before he can finish the Warlord off. Luffy protects the fallen Law, who wants to witness Doflamingo's end alongside his ally.
With Luffy triumphant, Law's vengeance is complete. He recovers in hiding, grateful for comrades like Luffy who share the D's stormy destiny. Law's intricate schemes paid off, toppling Doflamingo, halting SMILEs, and mortally wounding Kaido's forces - all closer to the ultimate endgame.
Zou: After the clashes in Dressrosa, Law reunited with his Heart Pirates crew safely hidden on Zou. There he learned of the brewing chaos - Sanji had vanished to Big Mom's territory, and the vengeful Beasts Pirates led by Jack were attacking Zou to find Raizo.
Law kept cool despite the mounting pressure, advising Luffy on their next moves. With Luffy rushing off to retrieve Sanji, Law agreed to travel with the other Straw Hats and Kin'emon's group to Wano Country using his submarine. Though wary of stirring up Kaido's wrath so soon, Law remained committed to their alliance and toppling the Yonko.
On Zou Law was intrigued to meet the minks and see Bepo among his kind at last. He was awed by Nekomamushi and Inuarashi's knowledge of the poneglyphs, seeing how all threads were leading towards the secrets of the Void Century. Though vexed by Luffy's whims, Law placed his trust in destiny and in the enigmatic 'D' once more.
His cool cunning and daring schemes had succeeded in destroying the SMILE factory and Doflamingo's empire. But Law knew that taking down a Yonko would require far more strength and incredible fortune. As he dove into the dark waters towards Wano Country, Law steeled himself for the greatest challenge yet. If anyone could accomplish this impossible task, it was his mad ally Straw Hat Luffy. And Law would use every ounce of his skill and guile to tear down Kaido's reign, no matter the cost.
Wano: Law alongside Star Hats crew infiltrated Wano country and help to revolt samurai against Kaido and his Beast Pirates. As a result, Law fights with Eustass Kid against Big Mom (who made an alliance with Kaido) and they were able to defeat her. After freeing Wano, Law set out with his crew to search for One Piece
Personality: Ruthless Pragmatism: Law demonstrates a cold, calculating pragmatism in pursuit of his goals. He shows no qualms sending 100 pirate hearts to the Marines to gain Warlord status, or allying with rivals like Luffy if it furthers his schemes. Law is willing to break promises, exploit emotions, and sacrifice pawns to defeat enemies like Doflamingo. While this ruthlessness disturbs allies, Law ignores their protests, keeping eyes fixed on the endgame. He betrays and manipulates ceaselessly, showing no remorse if it leads to victory. This reflects the scars of Law's past, making him a man who abandoned mercy long ago.
Vengeful: The destruction of Law's hometown and murder of his family fuels a simmering fury and desire for vengeance within him. For 13 long years Law patiently plotted revenge against Doflamingo for killing his savior Corazon. When he finally defeats Doflamingo, avenging Corazon leaves Law feeling strangely empty and without purpose. This single-minded quest for vengeance defined him, consuming his thoughts and actions. With his hated enemy fallen, Law must struggle to find new meaning, haunted by bittersweet memories of his lost benefactor.
Cynical: Deep cynicism pervades Law's worldview after tragedy shattered his faith. He trusts few, believing the world and justice are fundamentally corrupt forces, mocking the glory of institutions like the Marines and World Government that doomed his people. Even his own crew and allies are tools for Law's schemes, kept at arm's length. Only Corazon's compassionate sacrifice gave Law faint hope in humanity's potential for good. But this shred of idealism struggles against Law's engulfing nihilism and despair in humanity itself.
Morally Complex: Though ruthless, Law adheres to a code and avoids needless slaughter. As a doctor, he heals many innocents and detests Caesar's experiments on children. Law wrestles between this compassionate side and his own dark impulses for vengeance and duplicity. He treads a grey moral line between noble ends and dubious means. Law is no hero - but not a monster either. This complexity reflects his inner turmoil, reflected in the cold surgeon masking a wounded heart.
Disciplined: Law's calculated, brooding persona belies seething emotions kept tightly in check. He withstands torture from Doflamingo and Vergo through sheer force of will. Law bides his time with discipline, moving step by step, never acting rashly even when plans go awry. This discipline lets Law endure and overcome formidable enemies and situations. It requires rigid self-control to keep his feelings constrained, but gives Law power in pursuing his ambitions.
Independent: Law chafes under the orders of any authority, refusing to kneel before tyrants like Doflamingo. He defiantly navigates his own course, relying solely on wits and skill. Law abandons the Warlords' corrupt patronage when it betrays his faith. Even with allies like Luffy, Law bridles at perceptions of being a subordinate, insisting on autonomy. His fierce independence reflects the loss of family and home - Law walks alone, trusting only in himself.
Solitary: Law keeps even crewmates at a distance, sharing little of his tragic past. Emotional bonds are weakness to him, so Law views all relationships through a lens of utilitarianism. He remains guarded and secretive, rarely showing his true self beneath the brooding surface. Only Corazon managed to truly breach his walls. The scarring from his childhood tragedy has left Law unable to open his heart to others. He struggles to trust anyone fully, living within self-imposed solitude.
Habit in speech: When Trafalgar Law is talking about someone, he tends to add "-ya" as a suffix to their name.

After finally triumphing in a fearsome clash against Big Mom atop Onigashima, the strain of successive battles was clear on Trafalgar Law. Though he'd helped topple two Emperors, it was Luffy and the others whose will and power shone brightest in those dark hours. Law quietly realized his own strength still had far to go.
Gathering his loyal Heart Pirates crew, Law set sail from Wano Country in his submarine, Polar Tang. Though allied crews like the Straw Hats and Kid Pirates lingered to recuperate and celebrate, Law's cool pragmatism compelled him back to the seas. Luffy could play hero as long as he pleased - but for Law, the race was on. His prize: One Piece, and the keys to unlocking the World Government's deepest, darkest secrets.
Putting Wano's coasts behind them, the Heart Pirates crossed into the perilous New World. Law studied ancient maps of the Grand Line's final stretch, planning their course towards uncharted islands shrouded in myth. For days the submarine traversed lightless depths, surviving sea kings and storms alike.
Eventually they surfaced beside a remote autumnal island, one rarely marked on charts. "Stay wary." Law told his men. "We resupply and leave before trouble finds us." They docked at a tiny port town nestled between forests of flame-hued maple trees. While penguin-hatted Shachi stocked food, Law headed to a tavern called the Red Maple. Nursing a mug of ale, he reflected on his crew's static strength - the battles ahead would need far more.
A shrouded figure suddenly approached Law's table, gazing intensely with piercing eyes. Law sensed an iron strength within approached frame. "You're the Surgeon of Death, aren't you?" a figure asked boldly. Law's eyes narrowed, but he nodded.

Keys: Devil Fruit
The Ope Ope no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants the power to create a spherical forcefield in which the user can freely rearrange, take apart (without harm), and remodel the structure/anatomy of anything and anyone (themself included) in a "surgical" way, making the user a Free Modification Human. The fruit was eaten by Trafalgar D. Water Law, force-fed to him by Donquixote Rosinante. Before Law, the fruit's powers were held by a certain famous doctor.
The Ope Ope no Mi is famed and coveted for letting the ability user perform miraculous surgeries, cure untreatable illnesses, and circumvent physical disabilities. It is also called the "Ultimate Devil Fruit" (Kyūkyoku no Akuma no Mi) for its capacity to grant another person eternal youth in exchange for the ability user's own life, which is why the Marines were willing to pay as much as Beli5,000,000,000 to buy the fruit from a pirate named Diez Barrels over a decade ago.
Appearance - The Ope Ope no Mi is a red, heart-shaped fruit resembling a strawberry, small enough for a man to hold it in-between his fingers. It has a stem with a swirling end pointing upwards, and, as characteristic of natural Devil Fruits, its surface is swirl-patterned.
Strengths: Allows to create a spherical territory where he can manipulate anything or anyone within it. By conjuring 'Room', Law gains full control over objects, people, space and even abstract concepts. He can levitate, teleport, disassemble, or restructure anything in his operating sphere. With his medical expertise, Law uses this fruit's spatial powers for miraculous healing, once even curing his own Amber Lead Syndrome. But for battle, the fruit is equally formidable - he can slice enemies apart without harming them, remove organs, teleport instantly, or generate electric shocks. His spatial slashes bypass defenses, directly striking the body's deep interior. After 'awakening' this fruit, Law can adhere his Rooms onto targets rather than needing to be inside them. This nullifies the fruit's static nature, making Law an even deadlier surgeon of death. Combined with his cunning mind and swordplay, the Ope Ope no Mi makes Law one of the world's most formidable pirates. Its ultimate power to grant eternal youth could topple nations, though using it kills the current fruit user. With this fruit's nigh-limitless potential, Law wages his war against the corrupt world order and legacy of D.
Weaknesses: The Ope Ope no Mi, though formidable, has distinct limitations curbing its fearsome potential. Within his spherical Room, Law's powers reign absolute - but that finite territory is vulnerable. Enemies may detect his small Rooms and evade them, or escape a Room's bounds, cancelling his control. Law must also use hand motions for certain techniques, leaving openings if restrained. And while telekinesis lifts anything in a Room, mysteriously Law cannot levitate himself.
Generating multiple Rooms simultaneously seems impossible. Overusing his powers rapidly drains Law's stamina, limiting prolonged battles or spamming techniques. Particularly his Awakened Rooms adhering to targets sap more strength. And the Perennial Youth Operation, granting immortality, shockingly kills the current fruit user.
Logia intangibility may grant some defense against the Ope Ope no Mi, though Busoshoku Haki-imbued slashes bypass that. And sufficient Haki mastery could resist Law's spatial powers outright, as proven by Doflamingo and Emperors like Big Mom and Kaido.
Medically, this fruit's miraculous applications still follow biological logic, not divine omnipotence. The user needs immense medical intellect to exploit its spatial healing fully. And for all its incredible potential, the Ope Ope no Mi remains vulnerable to standard Devil Fruit weaknesses like seastone and water.
Techniques: ROOM - The precursor to all of Law's techniques, Law creates a spherical space around himself and his targets, in which he can manipulate anything he wants in a variety of ways; he cannot perform any of his other techniques outside of this spherical area. Law can hold off on the activation of his ROOM by creating a small circle around his hand, which later will expand to form the ROOM itself. The size of the ROOM can vary from a few meters wide to surrounding entire buildings and mountains, although larger ROOMs require more effort to maintain. The color of the ROOM is transparent, with only the boundaries visible in a light blue aura, so Law can keep his ROOM unnoticed by enemies if he expands it to a size beyond their line of sight.
Amputate - Law's basic offensive technique. Law cleanly cuts his target with Kikoku without actually harming them. Law's sword does not actually have to make contact with the enemy to cut the target apart. The separated body parts seem to maintain a connection similar to Buggy when using his Bara Bara no Mi powers. While Law has never called this technique before using it, he named it while explaining Radio Knife.[39] Amputate also seems to be necessary when performing operations, in order to extract narcotics from patients, as he did so on the drug-addicted children on Punk Hazard.[40] This technique can also be utilized in conjunction with R-ROOM, allowing Law to cut targets without needing to be in the same space as them.
Radio Knife - An advanced version of Amputate. Law charges his sword with electricity in a similar manner to his Counter Shock move and then quickly slashes his enemy, which results in the target being separated into several segments while also suffering an electric shock. The cutting itself, like Law's regular slash attacks, is not harmful; however, it differs from them as it prevents the target from briefly being able to reattach their own body, and is meant to be a counter to any abilities where one can re-assemble themselves from Law's original amputation abilities.
Shambles - Within the space created with ROOM, Law can swap the positions of any object inside. Law primarily uses this move to switch places with other objects in order to dodge attacks or for transportation purposes, but it also has offensive applications; an example is when he switched a decapitated Marine's head for a cannonball coming towards him, attaching the ball of iron back to where the Marine's head used to be. When performing it, Law often gestures with his outstretched index, middle and thumb fingers, while holding his palm inwards. Interestingly, it is shown that he can bring objects to his person without the need for switching them with another object.
Jinkaku Ishoku Shujutsu - During his confrontation against the Straw Hat Pirates, Law showed that he can use Shambles to swap non-physical items such as souls, effectively putting one person in another one's body, though before he can do this, he needs to do a thrusting motion at each person, to bring their "heart" out, although if the 'hearts' are already not in the original body he simply needs to make a gesture without the thrusting motion. In the case of Tashigi, switching hearts made her lose consciousness.
Takt - Law uses his ability to levitate an object within his ROOM in a telekinetic manner. To use this technique, Law first performs a lifting motion with his index finger to get the object off the ground (if it is an airborne object, like a meteor, he does not need to do this), then redirects its position by pointing to the desired direction. Law has shown the ability to move multiple objects at once as well, using all of his hand's fingers to do so. He can also use Takt to raise stone thorns from the ground to impale his enemies.
Scan - Law scans people inside his ROOM by imbuing his sword with the fruit's energy and beaming it through the crowd, using it much like an x-ray machine. This allows him to see the location of any items on the scanned people, selectively swapping away any items they may have on their person.
Mes - Law strikes his opponent in the chest with his bare hand in a grasping motion, causing their heart to expel out of their body, encased in a glass-like cube. This attack leaves a cube-shaped hole on the opponent's body where the heart was. It presumably tires the victim in some way, since Smoker panted heavily after Law succeeded at depriving him of his heart, although it does not kill the victim.
Counter Shock - Law places both of his hands forward onto whatever he is targeting (normally in close quarters amidst a foe) and releases a strong electrical surge like a defibrillator. He can also use just his thumbs or one of his hands for this move.
Injection Shot - While aiming at his target, Law rushes towards them with his sword stretched out in order to stab them. Once the sword connects, Law makes it "fire" like a gun, making the target bleed in the aimed spot while pushing them back a fair distance. Law's signature ability of being able to cut objects from afar can still be used while performing this move, as seen when he cut through Trebol's Hanamizu Shinken Shirahadori without having to touch it with his sword, but the move can still be blocked by hitting the blade from the side. This technique is among one of Law's most powerful, as he was able to injure Kaidou in his Human-Beast Form with this attack despite the latter's massive toughness.
Gamma Knife - This is Law's strongest non-Awakened technique. Law creates a short blade of pale-green energy before stabbing his opponent with it. This technique destroys his victim's internal organs without leaving any external wounds. According to Law, not even someone of Doflamingo's caliber could survive this. This was first used to fatally wound Doflamingo, though he managed to mitigate the worst of the effects by stitching his damaged organs back together with his string ability. Later on, Law was able to injure Kaidou in his Full Beast Form with this technique.
Sterben - A technique used when Law had his right arm severed by Doflamingo. After using Takt on his severed arm, Law makes it spin. Because the arm is still holding Law's sword, it effectively ends up acting like a buzzsaw that cuts the opponent in a vertical motion.
Curtain - A defensive technique. Law makes a pulling motion with his arm stretched horizontally in front of him, which generates what appears to be a protective, transparent veil between himself and his opponent, akin to surgical draping.
Awakened Techniques: K-ROOM - Law creates a spherical space above his hand that is very similar to ROOM, but unlike it, this piece of space seemingly never expands by itself. Instead, Law is capable of coating objects with this spatial bubble, granting them similar properties to that of a regular ROOM and letting Law perform operations through said objects alone.
Anesthesia - Law coats his Kikoku with the essence of K-ROOM, allowing it to pierce through anything without harming the target, akin to spatial phasing. In addition, Law can enlarge his K-ROOM-coated blade for an increase of range, much like he does with a regular ROOM.
Shock Wille - After piercing through a target with Kikoku, Law releases an electrical shock wave through it that fries the target from the inside. Its effects are very similar to Gamma Knife's, but because the electric shock directly occurs from inside the pierced target instead of coming from the outside, it ignores whatever external defenses they may have.
Puncture Wille - One of Law's most destructive techniques. Law positions himself on top of a downed target and pierces them with Kikoku, pining their bodies down to the floor as his sword continuously extends downward and phases through the ground or whatever is in its way. Once Kikoku reaches a certain depth, Law releases a powerful shockwave that implodes everything solid pierced by the blade, causing massive damage to living beings and creating huge holes on rocky surfaces. This move was strong enough to cause a massive crater near the Flower Capital, having been first used against Big Mom and visibly injuring her to an extreme degree.
R-ROOM - Another variation of ROOM. Law creates a spherical space above his hand and then tosses it on a target. Once R-ROOM is set, Law applies a specific effect to it that affects the target inside. Unlike a normal ROOM, R-ROOM will remain attached to its target and may expand in size in order to keep its applied effect in place. R-ROOM also works with Law's regular techniques, allowing him to operate on targets while being outside R-ROOM's range himself.
Silent - Law makes his R-ROOM soundproof, preventing any direct or indirect sound produced by the target from leaving its designated space.

Keys: Haki
Busoshoku Haki - Law is an extremely skilled user of Busoshoku Haki. As he could bypass Smoker's smoke body, thus resulting in him being able to take down the Vice Admiral. Law later hardened his arms to block Doflamingo's Goshikito, which is powerful and sharp enough to slice Fujitora's meteorite and also took out a large portion of the palace, without getting injured at all. His level in his Haki seems to have increased after his fight with Kaido and Big Mom, being able to break against the effects of Doc Q's powers.
Kenbunshoku Haki - Law possesses the ability to use Kenbunshoku Haki. During the Raid on Onigashima, Law demonstrated great skill in this type of Haki as he was able to sense that Luffy was defeated by Kaidou, and was also able to sense Luffy's Devil Fruit Awakening.

Keys: Swordsmanship
Kikoku is the name of Trafalgar Law's sword. It is a "Cursed Sword", though is not a ranked blade.
Appearance: Kikoku is a larger version of the katana known as an Ōdachi. It has an oblong-shaped hilt trimmed with short white fur, a purple grip with two white rings around it and a yellow pommel, sheathed in a black scabbard decorated by white crosses from the opening to the bottom, and with a small piece of red rope tied near its opening. The sword in its entirety is approximately 140cm, so due to its size, Law usually carries Kikoku over his shoulder.
Law's swordsmanship combined with his Devil Fruit powers enable him to mutilate numerous people at once faster than they can react, easily defeating Kin'emon, a master of Foxfire Style and one of Wano's most powerful samurai in this manner. He easily defeats Tashigi, a highly skilled swordswoman of the Marines, severing her sword in two in one slash
